Okay, I got Keldrean clothes and thus decend and ready to show off

Also I was surprised that Lionell didn't have these small notches on the inside of his head where the S-hook usually rests. I carefully cut some into the resin (definitly thick enough) as otherwise the S-hook would not have held whenever I would have turned Kel's head.
Also, the Mirodoll S-hook is to big to get through the head-slit, so I had to carefully unhook it from the strings, pull the strings through the opening and put the S-hook back into the strings @.@
The resin match is ok, but not perfect - thought that might partly be the face-up's fault.
Posing wise the body at first freaked me out a little, because he wouldn't stand and was rather floppy - even restringing didn't help much. (I think the joints are simply too smooth) But now that I've hotglue-sueded some of his joints (chest, hip, knee, feet, shoulders) I'm rather pleased with him -^^-

 

Yepp, I'll try.
To try to put it in words: The head looks like it's slightly yellowed compared to the body as of now. And the resin is slightly darker :3
Pic will most likely follow on friday/the weekend. I need to give him a body blushing anyway, thought, so that will not be an issue for that long.

The green thing is probably because I edited it, his hair is platinum blonde with no hint of any color underneath XD

Congrats on getting his body! He's looking pretty good on it! The resin match doesn't look that bad! I actually considered getting a Mirodoll body for Dexter as well, since it was affordable, haha XD But changed my mind in the end as Dexter isn't the type to work out that much has a very lean body.

I'm a bit late, but...

Here is the shoot of the headcap of the Lionell head with the Mirodoll body. As you can see there is a difference, but not drastically so (headcap is slightly pinker).

A body blushing might help in the future, so the head doesn't look that much darker as it is in my case due this face-up.

Snowy, Keldrean looks amazing on that body! Since my plans for my Lionel head have now changed (yay for finding a doll to be the perfect Cato!) I may have to get him that body myself now. It would definitely work for my boy. Still so in love with your boy. XD

vadafade That's actually really good to know. I don't have a head that would match, but I'm still really interested in knowing that. I have a DIM boy and I love his skintone so nice to know that Leeke can match it. XD

So yeah, my Lionel head is no longer going to be my Hunger Games boy, he's now switched to being my all time fav movie character, Eric Draven from The Crow! Thought I'd share that, going to work on doing a faceup for him very soon. I can't wait to be able to do something with this guy. Now I just need to sort out clothes for him and a wig and eyes and then once his faceup is done I can finally show him off to you guys! XD

The Khal is a wonderful sculpt, but I'm 100% biased as I own the limited vampire version of it. This is Khale. His hands are the DZ armoured claw hands that I lightly dyed blue. I also changed his limited wig and eyes to what you see.

I have quite a few "vampire" sculpts although Khale is the only one suitable for this thread. Funny enough, none of the sculpts I have with fangs are vampires. Khale is half Frost Elf and half Ice Demon (his demon side is where he gets the fangs from). The others that have visible fangs are created species of mine and are in no way vampires.

 

Very interesting. I have dolls - vampires. They do not have fangs.
But I know - they are vampires)))

 

I have a Khal too, but he's the human ver And he's using an Akagidoll 66cm body too, haha.

By the way, has anyone noticed that Khal is actually a vaguely smiling sculpt when blank? I never noticed since I got mine with the default faceup, and Leeke likes to make the versions of Khal a bit grumpy/neutral, haha.

Hello everyone! I just received the Leekeworld Lion head I purchased from GalaxyShi, and thought I would introduce myself! My boy doesn't have a name yet, but he immediately stole the body from my Dollzone boy, and it seems I will be needing to purchase a different body for that head. Just a heads up, the body is old Dollzone yellow, and has lost any pink undertones it had, but the leeke head is still a good match. I'm not sure what years any of this stuff was made, as it was all second hand, here on DoA. He also stole that wig from someone. -_-

 

OkamiKodomo - Your boy looks good I've been wondering about Leeke heads on Dollzone bodies for a while, so it's nice to see the proportions I'm a bit surprised about the match since I've always thought Leeke is quite pink but maybe it's just because different batches. Hope your boy gets a name soon ^^

 

Thanks! The proportions are really spot on, and the match is nice. I'm fairly sure the head was a bit yellowed, and I know for a fact that the body has been. The head is a shade or two paler but still the same color family, and definitely not so far off that it can't be blushed easily. I need to make his eyes today, and see about putting feathers in his wig. He's borrowing some clothes for the moment, but I'll need to make him some of his own in a hot minute.

 

Hi OkamiKodomo! Sorry for not replying sooner, but your boy looks wonderful on the DZ body! I love how proportionate and good he looks. That's a fairly nice body too, I for once actually like a DZ boy body. ;P Anywho, good luck with the name! He's absolutely adorable in that blond wig. XD

Went to the park today and took some doll pics. Khale was being a butt-head at first because he was in an outfit he doesn't like and was extremely uncooperative. Fortunately, I thought it might go that way (although I hoped it wouldn't *sigh*) and brought a change of clothes for him. As soon as I changed his clothes, he behaved just fine *rolls eyes*. This is after the wardrobe change.

 

Funny enough, I'd initially bought the outfit he's wearing for a different doll. I was at a con and when I asked, the seller told me that it would fit fine on my 58cm boy. I didn't have him with me at the time so I couldn't try it on him when I got back to my room. While I was in the sales room, I put my name in for the raffle for Khale on a whim. I got the phone call the next day that I'd won him and when I got home and went to try the outfit on the other doll, I realized then that there was no way in hell it would fit him. But it most certainly fit the brand new doll (and the only doll of that size that I owned at the time) I'd just won. Talk about your happy circumstances.

 

He's one of my favourites. Not bad for a doll I had no idea what I'd do with. And while he initially only cost me $10 for the raffle tickets, within days I knew who he was, had bought him the DZ armour hands, a new wig and was scouring the internet for his lover, Fei-Lau (DZ Edward). During the scouring process, I also found his other lover, Sleet (Soom Auber Storm Sprite), in the MP here on DoA. And since having all 3 of them home, I've also found Fei-Lau's brother, Rhas-Khan (ImplDoll Ziv) and his lover, Eilian (SD Rail), whom I'll be saving up for next. And while I don't think I'll bring them home, I have also found the sculpts for Khale's identical twin half-brothers, Isshaul & Qyliah (Mystic Kids Lawrence) and their lover, another brother of Fei-Lau's, Ji-Sun (BBD GenX Nile). This grouping is starting to rival one of my other family grouping in size *sigh*.

For a "free" doll Khale has sure squeezed a heck of a lot of cash out of my wallet *laughs*.

No worries. Life gets busy at times and things we mean to do often get delayed while putting out fires (sometimes with gasoline *sigh*).

I succumbed to Leeke's recent SD sale so I've got some heads on the way. This thread (along with several others) have been really helpful in giving me an idea of what might work in terms of bodies and resin matching. Of course, we'll see how much this batch varies from the former ones, but it's given me a little list at least. No idea what body I'll get for my guy though, not 100% settled on what kind of body type he'd have. That said, I'm nervously anticipating their arrival + starting the adventure of finding a body for them.

 

I was at the Dollism con in Buffalo and fell in love with this kimono that a very nice lady made. Apparently, she buys old kimonos, takes them apart and re-sews them into doll kimonos. how cool is that? While Khale has more than enough clothes, I just couldn't walk away from the con without this one. It is supposed to be for a girl, but I like the pattern on the silk and the colours are neutrals for the most part, which Khale favours. I had to modify the underskirt waist to get it to fit him, but that was easy enough.

hi....I purchased 2 leekeworld heads, koji and min, and they don't have any leekeworld markings on them? is that common? they are older heads

 

Wow Luthigern, sorry I didn't notice before but your boy is gorgeous! He looks wonderful, I really love his faceup!

Orangecornelius I don't really know about other Leekeworlds heads, my boy is a fairly old one from the original sale of Lionel's I believe, he has the word Leeks stamped in thick letters on e inside of his headcap. But maybe your two are from before they started doing that. Did you buy them from someone or from Leekeworld? I'm not up to date on this but perhaps those moulds just never had any kind of stamp to say where they came from so even the newer ones don't have that'd as its not part of the sculpt perhaps?

I bought both from the marketplace here on DoA. I sold one on ebay and they are questioning it is real or not. But since I had the koji it was the the same. No markings. So just wanted to ask the forum and see what other people had experienced with the leekeworld heads.

my brand new Leeke Christopher head has Leeke stamped inside the head cap. Don't know if that helps at all?

Hello, I've been stalking the forum for many days, but only just been approved ^^;;;
I just ordered a Chris head early Feb this year, and I'm just so excited since he's my first doll!! But of course, after finding out that Leekeworld bodies aren't double-jointed, I am deciding to invest in an Akagidoll 66cm type 2 body instead. FINGERS CROSSED!!

Meanwhile I'll just appreciate everyone else's boys!

 

This is my Rihael. he is awesome, but his head is too long.. so I cut his forehead by my self. now his head size is pretty fine.

 

After getting my hands on a Chris head, I've come to realize... his head is really quite huge. A normal 1/3 sized wig won't fit at all, and that's pretty worrying since most of the wigs I have are just nice 1/3 sized (up till 9 inch or so). His head circumference is stated to be 9-10inch, but I'm pretty sure it's 10 inch at this rate :/
time to comb around for larger wigs I guess!

 

I just ordered & paid for vampire Rihael head in WS even though I really shouldn't order another while I'm already waiting for other doll to be arrived. T~T Anyone else?

 

Yes I ordered vampire riheal and khal head too.....Its kinda silly though...I have 2 vampire khals, rose skin with pale face up and a white with dark face up, and one basic khal in ns......wow so who is my favorite sculpt....Khal......so this will be number 4 khal head....:P

 

I would love to have ordered a Vampire Riheal, but couldn't I just couldn't afford it this time, not even as a head. I hope leeke gives me another chance. Be sure to post pictures of him when arrives Cain421 and vamlest1. Did either you get him with default faceup?

 

I ordered a vampire Rihael with his default faceup, he was too cute to pass up since I could afford him this time. I have no idea how to post pictures yet, but I should have it figured out by the time he arrives I'm still trying to choose a body for him though. I really want an AOD body, but there aren't any pictures to show if the Leekeworld basic skin and the Angel of Dream normal pink skin are close enough, though I have heard it's very likely an okay match. I shall keep researching for a bit longer....

 

I love Khal, I not ordered because I have two, a vampire and human, they are twins hehehe but this faceup on Khal vamp this time is gorgeous too.

 

Hey guys! I also ordered a khal vamp head and it just arrived, does anyone know any good matching body for him? I got him in snow skin because I only have Luts and Dolld chateaus here, all bad matches... any suggestions? O o O

 

If I'm not wrong, I think one of my heads doesn't have a marking, while the other one does. I have a Mihael and a Khal, but can't remember which is the one with the marking. Both are ordered from Leeke.

 

My Mihael doesn't have any markings at all, but my vamp Rihael and my friend's Khal both have markings. So I think it's probably the same ^_^ It might have to do with when the heads were sculpted?

 

Yea, I think so! I went to check my Mihael and he indeed doesn't have markings. So I'm going to assume it's my Khal who has markings, and that would make sense, I guess, since Khal is a newer release than Mihael.

 

Hi guys,

I'm just curious if Leeke L head can be hybrid to a smaller body like msd body? Will the head look too big on that size of body? I've never owned any big doll before, but Lion head which is currently on sell really hits me so I'm trying to figure it out if I can hybrid him to a smaller one.

An MSD body, definitely not. I have my Lion on a Dollzone 65cm boy body. You could probably get away with a 60cm boy, but definitely not much smaller, and the shoulders would need to be pretty broad to support the size of the head.
