Merry Christmas, everyone!
Been a while since I popped in DoA the last time, and now that I did I was presented with all of my pictures being dead. Photobucket was no good anymore, so I created Flickr account and tried fixing the photos. Hopefully they all show up now.

Yes, the incident with Photobucket is such a bummer. It's sad to see all the wonderful photos disappearing from here... And because some threads are closed, their posts can't be edited anymore; I couldn't replace some of my dead pictures because of this.

 

Posting my boys in new ancient style clothes, I am waiting for some new wigs to come and also out searching for ancient wig for my boys. Current wig does not really fit with the style

thank you, i got interested in olden day ancient clothes last year after watching Untamed. I have been looking around for clothes and wigs forever, but hard to find clothes for their size. I have to beg my mom to make clothes for them so finally she said ok. I went to fabric store to choose and cost me almost $100 which is not bad. So all three wearing diff. pattern of clothes and my mom have to look at pictures online to have an idea what type to make. There is some mistake but minor on the finish clothes but its nothing big. Now the hardest is looking for wigs

 

That's great your mom can sew so well! That is a good deal for such nice fabric. Wigs might be hard, if you find the right size, you may have to style them yourself.

 

I actually found some on aliexpress, not sure if im allowed to say aliexpress , if not i will delete, but i got a couple which will cost me alot but its worth it. shipping will take 2 months or less, hoping less. i have to ask around if have wigs that will fit the guys.

I am loving the Loong soul boys alot but then realize i will save more if i find wigs for my lee el boys. Maybe in future i will get a loongsoul boy but not now.

 

Oh, that's great you found some wigs the right size! I sometimes cannot decide on wigs for a long time. I don't have a lee-el but I've admired them for a long time and love to see them. Shipping is slowed everywhere, so if they are a pre-order, it may take a lot more time than it had before, but if you can get exactly what you want, then it's certainly worth the wait!

 

Actually I was told by the seller it won't take long for them to prepare the wigs , its the shipping in the mail that will take over a month so i say 2 months this way I don't get my hopes up lol. I started looking at online bjd stores to see if there is any wigs that can fit the guys and style i like but when i google later I ended up seeing lots on aliexpress so reason I buy from them. Also the seller is very helpful on what wig will fit with the guys so i bought 5 wigs total. At least one of those wigs will look good with each of my guys. its sad to see lee el went down, really love the guys i have, so very well proportion , very well made. I really wanted to buy another boy.

Absolute units. Finally got an 80cm after years of wanting one and hope to get a 90 or larger one day. Or i'll just make some stealthy mods to give him a torso length boost heheheh

 

Gorgeous men! It's great to see them beside your door. It's a good perspective to see their true size!

Is the company still active? I do not see them for sale, but maybe I don'tknow how to shop.

 

@mollym Lee-el has been defunct for years now. They just kind of disappeared.

 

thank you, very hard to find boys in 90 cm , i actually used to collect smaller size boys , volks, ios, soom but when Lee el came out i sold all of them and got these boys instead. I wanted large size boys. I hope you are able to mod some torso and show some pics

thank you , very happy with how they turn out. They are huge but also very heavy. I don't have stand for my boys so have to lean them on the wall and the legs are spread out for balance. They are actually a bit taller than picture bec not standing straight but leg spread a bit wide. Future goal look for stands

Unfortunately, lee el is long gone, I have another guy without body, i regret not buying the body same time with head. By the time i have money to buy a body Lee el having difficulty managing.

 

I put some off topic dolls into doll stands. They are tall. I used Kaiser Metal Doll Stand #5001, they work well. I think they will fit your boys.

I was afraid that lee-el no longer makes dolls, but I was hopeful maybe they were not being sold in regular shops and maybe only China. That is a pity, but I am happy to see yours! Please post photos any time you wish and I will make sure to appreciate them!

 

i am for sure going to check out the kaiser stand, i will try to get more pics of them in diff pose when i have time. Sadly bec I don't have stands they are not displayed, but always kept inside the box. I don't have an area that is dog free in the house so i am worried about displaying them. But maybe with stands, i can display them in a corner of the house and make it dog free. My table and cabinets have no space. I want a dolly room one day , have to wait for long time until my kids move out.

Thank you, love his face mold and he looks great in ancient style clothing. I also decided he will get the white wig cause one of the the other boys took the black wig LOL

 

So, I did a thing. I bought a Lee-el boy that showed up on the marketplace. I have no clue as to which one he is, will it have his name inside the head cap? And I'm at a loss for clothes. I have ID75 and my Mom has Tera Zenith. This should be funny. Toga party anyone?

 

That's awesome! Congrats on your incoming boy! I don't own one, but maybe one day. I think the clothing is usually made custom, but there are many that are talented with sewing or maybe you can take advantage of his size and make a few basic items for him? I wouldn't sweat it, I've had dolls sit in their undies for a long while, and I enjoyed them all the same.

 

I have boxers he can wear and....nada. All my kids have clothes. I might be forced to work on my sewing machine now. Grrrr.... I do just fine with the silly thing when it works. Just as soon as it starts being difficult, I won't touch it. And it's stupid because I fix it eventually too. Sigh*

 

Which Leeel molds do you have @chinadoll? Lucky you having these guys!

 

I have Anastasio, Livan, Edward, and Jacob , Yah i was pretty lucky to be able to get these guys but for my last guy I only have money to buy head and was planning on buying the body later but then shit happen at Lee el that I was not able to get a body. So I have 3 full doll and 1 floating head.

About putting Lee-el dolls on dollstands; I just can't bring myself to trust any stand to work with them, so instead of that, I have mine in a sitting position. Right now he's been sitting on a toddler chair and it's like made for him. These dolls are, after all, the size of a child albeit a great deal thinner.

Late congrats for acquiring one of these dears! Have you figured out which sculpt you have by now? Do post pictures if you feel like it!

 

I did not even bought any stands yet LOL, i rotate my dolls and right now my Lee el boys are in their boxes . If I display my boys they always sits on top of my cabinet . I usually display them in winter bec. windows are close and less dust and no sunlight. Still not sure if want to buy stands bec. I have dogs and I get worried my dogs will get them with saliva, furs ,or bump into them.

 

@Karl-Kai no I don't know the model name, but @chinadoll has one. He's the same as her boy with the black hair and black robes. I'd take a picture, but I don't use my laptop much as it's old, and my photo bucket won't work with my phone. Electronics are not my thing.

I have a wig for him that is really tight, but it works for now. He also has one of my ID75 shirts on and boxers. Neither are his style. I would like to dress him in old world English style like Dorian Grey. Boots..... Let me just say yeah...... I bought a pair of HID but they are still too small. Grrrrr...........
