LDoll- October 28-29 - Lyon France .

I have to opt out aswell I am pretty exhausted X.x

 

My plane was delayed 5hrs so I missed my connection in Amsterdam but have finally arrived in Lyon airport. Going to go straight to the hotel and crash so I've got plenty of energy for tomorrow...

 

OMG, that’s terrible! Hope you get some rest. L-Doll is pretty huge!

LDoll was amazing!! I spent sooooo much money (bought 2 Atelier Momoni MiniReiras) but it was totally worth it. There were so many beautiful dolls and doll stuff to admire.

I was so tired tho. My feet hurt. It's all a bit overwhelming. So after LDoll, I went back to the Ibis hotel, had dinner and passed out for the night. Looking forward to going back for the second day

 

Ready for day two! It was amazing yesterday although I spent so much money. I promised myself to buy no more dolls today! Just outfits and stuff... wish me luck to keep my promise. There are so many things to buy! And it is so wonderful to actually meet other doll-people for the first time!

 

Wow @fairygirl I'm so sorry to hear this. Crossing fingers that you at least had a very enjoyable day at the LDoll today.

And about yesterday evening, it feels like everyone was absolutely exhausted after that crazy day.

So, how is everyone doing the second day? Did you all buy some dolls?
I'm currently in the train on my way home, as sadly I couldn't stay for the second day, but then again after I spent so much money yesterday and bought 5 dolls (I don't know how that happened), it's safer for me to go back home ;D.

I'll take some pictures of my shopping haul once I'm back home.

 

I really enjoyed my Sunday at Ldoll! My feet hurt from all the walking and my wallet is very empty. It was lovely seeing so many doll people and speaking with wonderful artists! I have posted pics on Instagram where I go by @floralockhart.
I got a Mota from Merry Doll Round, a Cocoriang kitty, and a gorgeous SD lace dress from Princessdoll.

 

Glad you made it and had fun! LOL, I was eyeing that cocoriang kitty, you saved my wallet you got some awesome close in shots. I posted some pics on Instagram as well @whitedragons

 

L-Doll was INSANE!!! So many wonderful dolls and items and art dolls!!! I thought that pre-buying some dolls would keep me safe from buying more... also the need for cash-Euros... but NOOOOOO!

I did a lot of damage to my poor bank account! It won’t feel it for a while since it’s on credit card via PayPal!

I have only posted a few pics on tumblr and Instagram... will post more when I can upload to a photo host and actually figure out what I bought!!!

 

Wow, I've been home since sunday evening but still trying to process everything that happened O_O... Thanks to an amazing act of kindness from a stranger, I was able to purchase Dust of Dolls Cham Byol. It was such an emotional experience. I made new friends, was able to hug old friends, and left with the doll I loved the most from all the dolls I saw at the convention. That's the short version - but wow. xD I'm glad that I have a week off to process everything and to be able to play with my new doll. ^_^

 

We’re still in Paris—-not home yet! I love Paris but am also eager to be back home so I can see what I got!

L-Doll was a fantastic whirlwind that I am still processing, too!

 

I'm back home as well, but work has been so busy, that I haven't had the time to unpack everything yet. Luckily I'll have the week-end off and that's when I'll check and photograph everything that I bought.

I had an amazing time. Truly a wonderful experience. Would love to attend it again someday, tho next time, I'll focus more on meeting other doll owners and less on photography.

I’m just afeared I spent too much money

 

I'm sure I spent too much!!! BUT... I wish I spent MORE, if you know what I mean? There were many more things I wish I could have taken home. But that is always the way it is, isn't it? (at least it seems to be that way all the time for me!)

I have been thinking of the things I did not buy and having the urge to contact sellers to see if they have more for sale... this is even before unpacking all the things I brought home! I am a very sick person! (I did just get home, so there is some excuse... perhaps?)

@april - Hahahaha, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I also spent a lot of money but find myself wishing I had more, especially cute little props for like 1-2 EUR a piece.

 

Thank you for sharing!!! Wow - you got so many nice shots! I tried, but got no where as many, some were blurry, and didn't get as detailed as I wanted.

LDoll was huge and so very overwhelming! I wanted everything. So many vendors with such awesome outfits, dolls and art toys! ARGH!! It was worth the journey, and now I have a whole load of new doll makers to follow

Jaina: - who won the contests? I managed to vote in two, but never knew who the winners were. Also thanks for posting the face up contest heads - I kept trying to see them - but never got close due to the crowds.

 

Just got home from Paris last night. Ldoll was a great reason to visit the beautiful country of France again! I look forward to more international bjd cons in future.

Can anyone recommend which are the best ones in the US? Should be shorter for me to get there from Canada...

bonjour j'ai fait mon premier concert à ldoll de lyon. C'était incroyable. c'était plein les yeux
