Ldoll Festival 2 - BJD Convention - France - october 8-9

I know I always make silly questions..but it is not clear to me one thing. Will Switch sell dolls at the exhibition or will they only take pre-orders? If you enter their web site there is nothing available...everything is sold out.

SWITCH will be selling two doll heads at the exhibition ("Milhwa" and "Huisa") ; you will get to buy them directly from them at Ldoll and bring them home at once ^^

Can you also order the Switch heads on the website at this time? Or is it only for those attending the convention?

Arghh , it pains me that I`m only leaving for France on the 9th of October . I wish so much to come! Oh well, still I hope everyone has fun , and plaese take tons of pics ^^. Mabye next year for me...

 

I got flight and bedroom so everything is already ready for the journey. I will be on my way to LDoll Festival this year again in some few hours so I am really excited to see you all there.

 

I'm in Lyon...arrived yesterday evening after a loooong journey by car (8 hours!!). The doll festival is going to start in about one hour. I'm soo exhited. I have my camera with me and will try to take as more pics as I can for you!!!

 

Oh, wonderful Matilla, I was just thinking last night that perhaps you would be attending. 8 hours sheesh. Can't wait to see your picutures, and what you have purchased!

As promised, here is the link of my flickr with the pics I took during the festival. This year it was at least three times bigger than last year. Sooo many people visiting it and soo many beautiful things to see. The girls who organised it were really superb!!!! Congratulations!!! It was a real success! I can't wait to attend next year!!! :-)
I attended also the make-up course...very interesting and helpful and hope I can make something myself now...at least I will try XD!
A special thank you to Migi of Migi-doll. Her dolls are really gorgeous. She let me buy one of her own boy. He's Noel a one-off boy. I will take pics of him soon. I promised her I will love him in a particul way. She is such a sweet person and her husband too!!!! Thank you again.

We also returned this morning from Lyon. It was really amazing! We loved it . Thanks a lot to all who helped organizing this event it was just great!

Unfortunately I didn't take a camera with me, so I'll have to wait for the pictures my friend has taken. But I bought a couple of dolls at the event and will post them later ^___^

 

It was amazing, I had never seen so many dolls (I don't know if this sentence is correct...) I was hypnotised ! I'm really glad I went to this festival, I just regret to be very shy so I did not speek a lot... I bought a blue wig for my Pullip Naomi (the 4th wig I buy for her and it' finally the good one !) a Yosd : Sweet from Leeke with a wig from Leeke too and a dress by Cachou (I didn't want her to be naked ^^)

I just returned home last night, after 12.5 hours of travelling, me and Hasel were finally home! But it was totally worth the travel, the festival was amazing! So many pretty dolls, so many sweet, enthusiastic people and it was organized so well! My complments to the staff, because I've rarely been at a convention where everything seemed to go so smooth and everyone was so kind, relaxed and cheerful! My mom and sister were also there(heheh, they drove the car xD)and they are not doll people but the atmosphere was so welcoming and fun, they ended up staying almost the entire two days instead of visiting the city as they planned! My mom even bought a doll for herself XD

My sister took pictures, so I'm sure I'll post those at some point, and now I need to get back to work(or perhaps back to bed, sleeeepy!)but I just wanted to thank you, both the staff and the visitors, for such a fun event! We're definetly going to be back next year


(oooh and I bought a Huisa! *very happy* XD)

Thank you so much everyone, the staff and the visitors, for those two beautiful days! I had a wonderful time, met so many great people and my purse had such a purse-attack XD The festival was bigger and even more lively than last year and it was great to have international booths! I bought a beautiful corset from KillingSissy while discussing about Italy and languages, a very cute headband with horns from the Finnish booth while my friend Aeris fall madly in love with a lovely little doll, made friend with one of the adorable Switch girls and came home with a Milhwa, was able to see the new hair colour of my friend Edhelwen and met the cutest and sadest bear plushy Esthy created from scratch, read passionately the latest stories of Solkeera's resin crew and even won a sheriff star XD... So many people, so many beautiful dolls and things, not even able to remember them all but I'm still in heaven somehow! Thaaaaanks again for this great great time!

I too am home now and I had great time in Lyon I really hope there will be Ldoll 2012, I'm sure I will be there if it's held. I loved to see so many people and artist dolls and their creators, even though I was too shy to talk to most of them

 

Finally I'm back home! ^^ Thank you for everyone for the effort you put into the festival, I was delighted to participate and definitely will take part again next year.

Wow Ldoll seems amazing!! I literally looked through all the pictures and am so envious of everyone who went! I'll definitely try and go next year, there is just so much to lose out on otherwise (purchase- and fun-wise!). Loved the contest entries aswell, so much creativity!

finally i've recived my new internet conncetion so I can take the chance to thanks all the staff and the visitors an exhibitors for the great time my husband and I have spent in lyon! ldoll is really a great festival and I hope to come back again with my stand in 2012! so thanks a lot! i'll come whit my pics in next days! As i said no internet connectio while waiting for the new provider...plus when i went back to italy I found my poor dog "miss Gogo" sick and she needed surgery with extreme urgency...so my attention went all to her and i'm a little bit late in updating my blog and flickr!
