Forgot to ask! Did you get tan, ws or ns? Is she mystic or oe? Is she on on order by herself & did you buy the wig, outfit , accessories?
I know, so many questions but this is so exciting! I didn't expect to see any go out until mid November!

she is mystic tan , ordered on her own, with no outfit or wig , she probably won`t get here till at least next tuesday knowing UK customs, but I can live in hope lol. I wasn`t expecting a notice yet either but yay ! cause that means my green teru shouldn`t be too far behind. Her wig hasn`t even arrived yet so that better arrive soon too

Hi Everyone else,

Just poking my nose in to say hi. I have been knocked down with another Migraine for the past couple days so I have lurked a little. Love all the Spam.It has helped cheer me up. I even missed trick-or-treating with my 7 year old.

So I am again too far behind to catch up on a individual basis with everyone. The spam is adorable. The next couple days I have to drive an hour 1 each way to help out with my Stepdad. He had surgery on Monday and my mom has to work. I am hoping to have some playtime. I even have the girls set up for a Halloween party but I have to had a chance to take pictures yet.

Is there anyone who has a realpuki. I was thinking about getting him. Maybe as a Christmas present. I am hoping he would fit in the Calico Critters house which are adorable. But are they too small. I am on lots of meds and my hand shake some days worse than others. Am I going to get frustrated with them? And do you think he would fit in that house>

One more question. Can you show me your Monique Gold wigs. And could you please tell me the names if you remember. I would love to see some on Lati's.

Hi everyone! After drooling at all your cute babies, I am finally de-lurking, since I just ordered my very first Lati a Halloween Cat Lea. I know it's going to take forever before I receive her. In the meantime I would like to make some little dresses for her and was wondering if anyone had tried the Puchicollective dress pattern? Does it fit well? No one in my area has a Lati Yellow so it's impossible for me to borrow one to draft patterns from.

Ooo that's exciting Pipsteds, I was one of the first to get a shipping notice for Pirate Lea, we are very lucky aren't we?

Kate - the Realpukis are very small, but being fairyland they are very well designed. But you might struggle changing eyes/wigs etc if you find the LY fiddly. If you haven't got some, buy some haemostats (the sort you buy to clamp blood vessels!!) - they are invaluable dressing tinies, changing eyes etc.

Love Kuroo so much & think that Mummy Kuroo is going to be a good one to buy.

KayJay - I have haemostats thanks for the advise. My mother-in-law before she retired used to sterilize them at a hospital and when they were going to throw them away she would take them. She is retired now and I am down to only a couple. I use them for tons of crafts. Scrabooking, Stamping, Jewelry, etc...

Matera - I love the wig and the Dollhouse. I may be going to toysrus later. Our credit card gets piont we can turn in to get gift cards to toysrus. Time to do some shopping and have a little me time. I did not see the car?

Question for all - If you order a Basic Meil and a special edition meil (any of them) Could they have different mouth carvings? Or do they keep the mouths the same becuase that what's makes the character?

Hi Katie,
I wrote "chair" not car, lol, you read it wrong. Wish I had a car for my realpuki but right now I don't.
The special editions are always painted different than the basics, for instance basic Kuroo looks a lot different than Mummy Kuroo to me & so does Cat Ruki.

DominiqueB, congrats on getting your first lati... it may not be your last either, we all say how addictive they are!

I couldnt see a reply to your query on the puchicollective Lati dress pattern. It is fine, a bit tricky to turn inside out, but you can add trims to it as you wish.

There are also some patterns on etsy for Lati Yellow, including ones that you download after you pay for them. Not sure if I can put a link here, the one I have is the Libby pattern by susan402.

today is mail day!!! i got the most gorgeous dresses from aysel.. i can't wait to try them on my girls! (well, girl.. since capri's the only one at home). ALSO, a package arrived for me at my fiance's place and i'm thinking that IT COULD BE LACHES!! *squee* so excited, will definitely spam some pictures if it's really her.

and i found these adorable little babie deers yesterday:



pardon the horrible photo quality.. it was dark last night but capri and i were just sooo excited. i've been hunting for them online and they were sold out everywhere.. so imagine my joy at finding them at a local store at an even cheaper price than online!

i bought 5 of them.. one for each girl supposedly, but capri's taking advantage of her only lati at home situation and greedily claimed 2 deers. oh well.

Xylis: Thank you! Yes, this wig is my fav wig of all time (I'm putting in an order for another one soon, just because I love it and this one is getting tired!lol!). And it is supersoft. I have had lots of Monique wigs and I love them especially for their softness. It is a pain dealing with all the fly-aways all the time though, but I think it is worth it

Aya: Aww - love all your Lea's! They are so so cute! And I didn't know you had two pirates?? Both of them are precious! I'm waiting for my second Lea (vampie mystic) and she is really a fantastic mold! Next to Kuroo and Miel she is my fav

 

Matera - chair - Ugh I guess I was still not feeling great when I read that huh. Thanks for the picture. Seeing Soso next to a Lati does show how small he is, and now I am almost second guessing my wanting him becuase of his size. I am not sure now. Maybe PukiPuki would be better or Lati White. They are both a bit bigger, but the Calico house is so cute and you can furnish it so easily.

Aya22 - I love the name Cookie my Grandma used to call me that when I was growing up. And I love all your lea's and that picture is great. The outfits are fantastic.

Xylis - I am finally feeling better today. I have headaches all the time but the really bad migraines that take me down for days are the worst. Your deers are so cute. what are they called?

Just a quick question.
Am I being paranoid about this situation? On the 25th October I bought a Lati Pirate Tan Belle from Ebay and paid immediately. The shipping was EMS which usually takes between 3-7 days from the U.S. I have tried to contact the seller but she does not respond to my emails. I am just really worried that I won't see my little Belle :-( It wouldn't bother me if the seller would just let me know that things were busy and she hadn't posted yet. It is just the silence that kills me!

 

No, you are not being paranoid PrincessStarburst. It is courteous for a seller to acknowledge a payment and advise their timeframe on shipping. But, real life happens.... So perhaps wait until Monday and if you haven't heard anything by then file a paypal claim?

 

PrincessStarburst - i agree with sugarlump; hopefully the seller is just being a little tardy.. but i would be worried too if i didn't hear anything from the seller after making payment. i can relate because it's happened to me before. hopefully she'll respond quickly, otherwise i think you'd need to take further measures and that would be perfectly understandable.

i was a little worried that they would look strange together given that coco has a much larger face than laches (laches is teeny tiny!). but capri seems really pleased with her little sister and even deigned to share the new satin dresses we received from lovely aysel.

i need to get capri some new eyes.. those blue ones in laches (who is still without a name) are so lovely. thank you so much for letting me adopt your little girl, chloe!

 

I would also be worried in this situation, how many emails have you sent? If you feel you have sent enough emails to get a response, I would file a paypal claim straight away. There are scammers out there who use other owners' photos, so I would act to protect your money. Of course there may be a good reason for lack of response - illness, death in the family etc - but if you haven't been advised of anything, or any shipping time, I'd stick a paypal claim in.

 

PrincessStarburst: i think you should wait a little, because 10days past and ems takes sometimes more time because customs and other things, people sometimes dont have time to send next day after payment too ^^ write to her again to email and via ebay, maybe she didnt see your email because she have them in spam box, it's sometimes happen to me ^^

 

I have only sent two emails. One after three days and the other one yesterday. The reason for my concern is that I don't think she belongs to DOA. I have also tried to find the picture she showed of Belle on flicker but can't find it. Her feedback is fine, except a couple of people complained about slow shipping. I can handle slow shipping as long as I know she is corresponding with me!!
She also sold a Pirate Lea...........I wonder if the buyer is here too?
I am hesitant to file a paypal claim yet as if she hasn't sent the doll yet it might just make her mad and I so badly want my Pirate Belle :-(

It was not me who wanted the patterns. I don't sew "YET". I have a hand me down machine and I brought it in to be looked at yesterday and reverse needed to be fixed but it turns out to be a good machine. So now I want to learn to sew. lol. Too many things to learn.

I would send another e-mail today and put in the e-mail that this is the third time you have tried to contact them and you would appreciate a response and that you would like to know when the doll was shipped.

This way you are putting in writing how many times you have attempted to contact them if you have to go down the paypal road. It also tells the seller you have sent numerous e-mails and they should really respond to you. If you hear nothing back by Monday I would go down the Paypal road.

I know that now through ebay and paypal the seller does not get access to the funds unless they provide a tracking number to prove shipment. Or at least that's what they have been doing for the past few months according to conversations I've had with others.

You can go to your ebay status page and view the details of the transaction to see if she has provided a tracking number. Fingers crossed everything is right as rain!

kate2kate: thanks, I'm afraid they will be addictive I had to show great restraint not to order Cat Kuri at the same time.

Maddy: thank you, I don't think I'll have a problem with the pattern, I use a very similar one for my Pukipuki's dresses the trick is to have a nice small pair of hemostats to turn the dress inside out. I also make sure that I sew the armhole seams with very tight stitches so it doesn't come apart during the turning operation. This way I manage to have a nice narrow shoulder.

You guys are killing me with the Lati pics, the wait is going to be endless since I don't think she will be home until well after Christmas. I guess I will stockpile stuff for her til then. My Pirates are coming! They should be delivered today - so I don't dare leave the house or take a shower until they have arrived. Otherwise I'll have to go chasing after the mailman!
