Hi guys and Wow!

Can't believe it but I rec'd my notice on 8/25 and already on 8/27 they tried to deliver my cupcake, but there was an error in the address. Sooooo I rec'd her 8/28, I think that was fast.

Can't decide on her personality and no name yet.
I had something in mind and she threw me off when I saw her.
I love her, even though they didn't give me brown eyes and she
has too much makeup for a lil girl

I don't know how to post the actual pictures, so hope this works. So any advice welcomed!

Evelyn, she is really cute!! Her faceup looks good to me, a typical Lati faceup If you check out the codes on photobucket and click on the 'img' code next to/underneath your photo then copy and paste over to here you'll be able to share her picture directly. Congratulations on your new baby!!

Hmmm I also emailed Lati about 2 weeks ago and they answered that my Unicorn will be shipped by the first week in Sept. Maybe now they are changing the shipping dates for some reason.. I must be patient,,, I must be patient..

Susanp- Polly is looking adorable. I love the dress. I was thinking last night that I have to make more dresses with sleeves. You know, last night, as I was lying in bed thinking about dolls instead of sleeping. It seems like all I dream about is dolls lately. (needs intervention)

Anyway, thank you for asking. I bought 2 of these shaggy stanberry wigs from RRG. After that I found a brown Kon'D sort of shaggy wig in the MP (I think it's this one and may be a bit big) that I think will work for the Green boy or a swap with Dillon, so I swiped that up too. 4 pairs of 12mm Kemper plastic eyes in golden brown, and 1 pair of same in pale blue for Sydney, who, as I mentioned to you the other day, had her 12mm glastics that I didn't love anyway, swiped out of her head by that new, bigger girl. So now assuming everything looks good, we're all set for wigs and eyes. Shoes I'll have to hold off on for a while, and clothes I need to get busy with!! I also need to make another sofa because the family has outgrown the current seating arrangement.

 

OK, I'm going to spam you a bit with the latest pic I took of the lati's bedroom in my dollhouse. I had to add some beds as 2 new family members are joining us in a week. TWO!!!! EEEEPPPP!! I've had a Lea staying with my mom all summer, and yesterday I just scored the adoption of a brand new Ruki!!! SO Lea and RUKI will be coming to stay next Saturday when my mom flies up to visit!!!!

So this is their room, there are more toys on the shelves now... spoiled critters...



And Lami and Miel went swimming yesterday, so I'd thought I'd share a pic of Miel in the pool with her floaty turtle.



Ok, I'm on Lati overload as my lati yellow population will have doubled within the week. ARIIEEIEIEIEIIEEI!!

I think I'm going to have to do a huge poster with every type of BJD so I know what the heck people are talking about. I'm new and the learning curve is a bummer. LOL

 

Zorro- a fantastic room! I love the posters and the little castle playset. Your kids are going to have so much fun together.

meguone, have you had a chance to open all the Rement yet? It's gonna be like Christmas when you do!!! I know how busy you are, though.
Evelyn, congratulations on the new girl... she's a sweetheart, her eyes are so soulful. I have the same problem with my dolls, they can surprise you when they arrive.
susanp, Polly is cute as a button. I have that same alphabet fabric and haven't used it yet, it's really great for that dress!

Gah! Seriously?! I mean I'm not that impatient this time around as I was with my Lami but they told me end of August or beginning of Sept last time I asked I might not be home to sign for it if they ship after the 22nd because that's when school starts for me! Arggg

 

Jups, seriously, I asked them this week, so I guess this is pretty much how they're gonna do it

I hoped it be home before my birthday, but I would be happy enough if they sent me a shippingnotice on my birthday, which is the 20th september.
Probably not gonna since I ordered last minute really.....

winternight: Hi there, no, I haven't opened them yet. I've got (counting the two full boxes in the living room for the twins) 12 box's of Rement, YIKES. It will be so much fun to do open them and get them where they need to be.

miemster: yeah, I was thinking they would be here like now, or first two weeks of September. I hope they get here before Halloween.

 

Ah, thank you I love her hair colour too: it's a shame as her default white wig was so pretty... guess I'll have to find another Lati to take the white wig over!

Shaz is my favourite clothing maker for knits My girls have only been following me around for two months-ish but we've amassed a good few outfits in that time

 

susan402, I dream about dolls too, and I only have one lati! After I finished sewing that (very fiddly and quite annoying) dress, I just lay in bed thinking about the next dress I would make and what fabric I could use, and then I started thinking about eyes and wigs, and wondering if Miel should have the dark brown wig, or if Polly would keep it and go brunette, and whether I would like the eyes I bought and if Miel arrived with dark eyes too, and I didn't like the lighter eyes I had bought would they both be brunette, and then I thought I really want one to be blonde and I think it should be Polly, and then I worried that I would break her head when I tried changing her eyes, or she might look like she had a lazy eye if I put it in crooked, and then I thought what if Miel comes this week (which I hope), would I have the dress ready for her so she and Polly could be cute and matching (I like matchy-matchy), and then I realised it was about 3am, and I had better get some sleep, or I would be really cranky the next day (which I was).

BTW, Susan, I like the wigs you have bought! Though do they mean strawberry instead of stanberry? What is stanberry? Some sort of brown berry I have never heard of? I think I need a bigger sofa too. Polly likes to sit on one which Miel will probably fit, though it will be a bit squashy, so I hope they get on ok.

patbrom, I have no idea really about any kind of BJD except lati yellows, and even with them I am pretty uninformed! So fun learning though!

 

It's me again! I just received the eyes I bought (from an Australian seller, so they came quick for a change!), and I bravely tried them on Polly (with my 3 year old giving helpful direction). I can't believe the difference they make. They are 14mm, I might try 12mm next time. They are plastic grey ones, and they seem great quality to me. Here she is: (blonde, they suit a lighter hair colour I think)

susanp, I do the same thing, sitting up half the night thinking about what I'll do with my dolls. In my house we have a technical term for this activity. When I have a far off look in my eyes or I'm very quiet, my husband asks me, "Are you dolling?" The answer is almost always yes. BTW, I like the new eyes!

My tinies have now colonised a definite spot on my desk here at Uni: their existance is known and my room mate doesn't appear too terrified of them so they're ok to be out Here's Pippin, Swan (Bisou AI) and Lakhi hanging out on my desk, keeping me sane.



I just bought a load more shoes (MORE money!) so I can mix and match their outfits a bit more: thank goodness their shoes also fit Swans feet!

I'm loving everyone's pics, sorry if I've not commented on them individually but my eyes are beginning to close from lack of sleep last night!

What a pain about the unicorns, I would have thought they would have shipped first. Mind you, they did keep the buying period open longer than orginally announced, I wonder if that has delayed the production of them.

My latis are here!! They arrived this morning!
I LOVE Ruki!! So gorgeous! Lami came with purple eyes which I cant stand. She's going to take some getting used to I think.

As for "new bodies" they've made no change at all as far as I can see.
I compared the body with my Cat version coco and no difference. *confused*
