Latidoll White Special - Discussion thread TWO

She's really cute Hyperchi. I love her outfit too. Lati NS is very white - especially compared to FL so it is probably NS that you got. My last lati yellow was much paler than her older sister but their white skin is even whiter! Paper white.

 

honeythorpe Thanks! I heard the match was really good so I wasn't expecting such a big difference when I recieved her haha. She photographs fine though, so no biggy.

Hi, Everyone!: I have seen so many BJD owners changing their Lati White bodies to PukiPuki bodies--why? Is there something wrong with the Lati White/White SP bodies? I'm just really curious because they certainly aren't very different in size--well, the SP bodies aren't anyway. I would appreciate your help on this.

As fas as the SP body goes, I really like it. The body poses well and looks lovely so I have no complaints. I have two Puki Puki's and love them just the same. I wouldn't consider changing Bayer's body simply because I am a stickler about resin matching. There is a color difference in the resin between the two companies.

 

Thank you for the info., Mustangsally! I, too, am a stickler about resing matching. I love my Yellow's version 2 body, so I'm sure I will love my White SP's body as well--definitely no plans to change it. I have several Pukipukis, and I do love them, too; but I think the Latis have better-looking hands and feet. I think it's because the Pukis are supposed to be half elf, so they have elf-looking hands and feet. Their fingers and toes, though cute, just aren't as realistic-looking to me. Anyway, I can't wait until Wednesday when my new girl arrives!

Lisa's Dream Dolls: I think the sp bodies look adorable, I loved my tan Belle and her little belly! The reason why I bought a pukipuki body for my NS girl has only to do with poseability. I love photography and got a little frustrated at the sp bodies. It was important to me to have the oppurtunity to create as many poses as possible, and the sp bodies just really didn't manage that task very well. Also, the resin is actually a pretty good match. Mine is at least, but I have the newer lati resin and bought the body from Fairyland a couple of months back. It matches perfectly. I know there has been some trouble with the lati/fairyland resin match earlier. The companies often changes resin color so there is a little bit of risky business if it is very important to have a perfect match.

I agree about the lati sp hands and toes too. I never liked the pukipuki hands/toes very much, but when I changed to alternate hands on my pukipuki body I found that I really love them. I never use the original hands though.

Anyway, here is my girl again. She still hasn't got a name - I am having some trouble on that these days. I feel a little bad as she has been with me for months now. She really do look like this pale little snow creature though...

Katrine: Your girl is adorable! Her little outfit is precious! I do like the alternate hands on her as well. Snowflake would be a cute name for her. I think it suits her--or maybe Snowie--something to that effect. I'm sure she'll tell you her name soon. I did get my new Bayer (Savanna), and I just love her! She's so cute! I've been too busy to take some decent pics, but I will definitely post some soon. She's anxious to meet everyone!

hyperchi: I know!!! I feel so bad that I haven't gotten to take some more pics of Savanna. I took some last week, but the weather was lousy, so the pics were kind of lousy, too. I'm hoping things will slow down this weekend, and the weather will stay nice like it is now. I love your Belle! She is such a little cutie! Wonderful posing!

Hi, I am new here, but just bought my first Lati White (Belle) from another member here. I am soooo excited to get this little cutie. I can see Latis taking over the house, and kicking all the other dollies out in no time. I am already looking for a friend for her...they are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

Lisa's Dream Dolls: You are right, - this thread does need a bit of a boost. They are such cuties! Why oh why does lati not want to make more limiteds in this size?
I will not be ordering anothe white sp in the immediate future... unless of course they decide to release some more tan tiny ones, and then I will be selling som possessions quick smart to order!

AlexisBears: Love your pic! Briar looks so pretty in that adorable outfit! I don't know why Lati wouldn't want to either. Most everyone seems to love them. From what I hear, Lati just seems to focus on their best-selling Yellows, which I love the Yellows, too, but it would be nice to see more White limiteds. Maybe in the future they will. On the other hand, it doesn't sound like Lati can handle the orders they are getting, though. They seem to be popping out less-than-perfect dolls. That's scary!

 

I bought my friend a Belle for her birthday and I'm customising him for her, I just finished the faceup for the second time (first was smudged @.@) Theyre so teeny tiny to work on! I love him though, I'd easily keep him!

I am looking for some shoes for my little one - I love boots or UGG-like shoes, does anyone have any suggestions to where I might get my hands on some?

I can't really help you with boots or shoes, I have a few pairs by Mimisstuff, but she's not making at the moment.

 

Kayjay: Thank you! And yes, I was thinking about Mimisstuff too, but then remembered that she doesn't make anything right now Maybe I just have to learn how to make those boots myself I have been looking for them all around the internet and can't really find anyone still making them...

 

Katrine: Try Rubyredgalleria-they carry different styles of very small boots-I have bought some for my CCC Firefly Fairies and they fit rather well-prices aren't too bad, either.

Katrine Visp is so cute! As for ugg like boots, you can make some with felt (or suede if you prefer). I don't really have a pattern for the boots I made ~ I just wing it! But you basically trace the foot, cut out a semi-circle and a rectangle. Not sure if that helps

Katrine - I'm a friend of Mimisstuff and she's unfortunately had some personal stuff to deal with, but I'm sure she'll be back sewing eventually. There is Carla who sews for tinies too, but I find her stuff sells on etsy too quickly for me to buy! She may take shoe commissions though, worth asking. I'm going to have a go at making some shoes for my LY and once I've mastered that I'll try downsizing.

 

I have a question regarding a Lati White outfit!

I have purchased a puki puki doll who came with a Latidoll outfit. After masive searching I found it in the website:

The problem is that in the webpage they were selling the Pury head, so I don't know if the outfit belonged to a standard doll a limited one or if it was a only dress sale.

I'd really like to know more about this outfit >.<

I see that Lati is doing another release soon, but I'm not sure if it will have any LW or LWSp. I really would love to have one from a release and not just basic order. Does anyone know how often Lati does LW/LWS releases or when the last one was?

I apologize if this was asked already. Its just that I love belle, but I don't like her as much in the yellow size and my grail doll is a tanned belle in this size & i don't have the money to try and get her second hand.

 

They haven't done a Lati White limited in a long, long time. I think its probably more profitable and easier to do the LY size for them. I have two LW heads on Puki bodies that I just adore.

And... it has probably been discussed before, but what exactly is the difference between the male and female Lati White Sp bodies? The official website seems to use the exact same pictures on the sales pages for these bodies, yet they do mention the body type a doll comes with... help..? They look exactly the same..!

 

Lati will probably re-open in June as they usually open basic orders in March, June, September and December. Can't wait until they re-open >.< I'm still debating on one or two Lati Whites and a Lati Yellow.

 

Evelien - I was wondering this too. I didn't see a difference in the bodies >.<

Lana - thanks for the reply. I did email Lati and they said they don't plan on releasing any this year.

It does make sense financially, but if they could mix the LY release with just ONE LW-- like they did with the LYSP Momo in LPP I would definitely buy it. Or even having a limited amount so that they only have to make 50 or so. Some LY fans are not happy with the release frequency of LY specials & tans but I know they are very, VERY popular (lol) so it's understandable.

I will definitely be setting my calendar to get Belle this time though. I was so sad that I missed ordering her in March.

Now I have another question. I know this is the SP board but LW or LWSP? If you have both, who is easier to shop for?

 

The White Sp bodies (and Yellow Sp) are gendered and the boys have an extra tiny bit of resin The smallest White and Yellow are gender neutral.

 

@PIPSTEDS : I really like her tan skin color. They look so cute. Especially Belle and Kong!

 

I would appreciate Lati company open a campaign limit Lati White Sp for tan skin, I've been waiting a long time, I want to have a tan skin tone family. Because my baby - Pea (Limhwa to you Sara) only fit with Lati White Sp, not fit with Lati White. It is difficult to find her younger sister/brother for her.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find lati white size wigs that are straight hair with the blunt cut bangs? I got one one DDE but they don't have much selection.

 

minigrace For My doll carrys that style - they have a very limited range in stock but they can custom make in any of their colours (their wigs are lovely quality) and it doesn't cost any extra. You could also try the parabox wigs - you can buy direct from parabox or places like mimiwoo.com carry them (they're usually listed as fitting the 27cm size obitsu I think). They come in many colours.

I no longer have a white sp but here's a picture of my former bayer wearing a parabox one - some of it is tied back which is why it looks a little bit funny in this photo.

i think Lati have totally abandoned their sweet tinies. i don't understand why they can't release specials even once a year?? they've got to be making bank off the Yellow line. maybe if they revamped the bodies of the whites like they did the yellows, they'd have more buyers. IDK? seems awfully stingy of Lati

ETA the renewal size do have gender also. pury is neutral, but Arin, Kong, & some Laches do have bits

 

Yes they have I asked them if they would be making limiteds again and they said 'no current plans' it's so hard to find them- I'd love a tan belle but I can't justify the cost for such a tiny! fingers crossed for the new year. Also does anyone remember how much they cost from lati?

I am adopting my first LWSP and extremely excited about her. I too am wishing that Lati would release a tiny size doll or two this year. I understand if the yellow's are the biggest sellers why they spend their time making a yellow release BUT couldn't they add one one (or two) to the yellow release and that way make even more money for the company.

The "no plans too" doesn't scare me too much though. I have been asking about tan Cookie and Coco for 11 months now and they always said that. Finally enough people asked and they made them. SO maybe if enough people ask for a LW release they will listen.

 

My newest tiny! My first Latidoll, an Arin. I'm calling him Gideon at the moment, but he may turn out to be a Leo, after his faceup. He's taller than I thought he'd be! I don't know why in my head I had assumed the SP wasn't much bigger than the regular size, and I had a crib ready for him to sleep in XD

 

Wow, this thread is quiet! I just got a puki body for my Lati Belle today and wanted to try it out. I didn't put clothes on her yet but I think she still looks sweet.

I wish lati makes the new bodies fast, their last message about white line said that they're working on it....but every time I check the site white line is always in "preparing restock" status -.-"

 

Marshmellina thank you! I think the match is good too. It is the best of both worlds to me, with the beauty of the Lati face and the posing of the puki body.

I would like to have another lati white too, a different sculpt than Belle.

Tiny- I like your new girl! The mod to her eyes is cool. Her face up is lovely too. Do you mind if I ask who did it? I love her boots too. They look like Kelly doll boots. I have made a hobby of looking on Ebay for Kelly stuff to fit my tinies.
