LatiDoll Green Line discussion part 2

Jul 23, 2011

    1. I've been using my girl to model outfits for my etsy shop lately. She pouts the whole time!

    2. SporeXP - shes so cute!

    3. Aw, maybe because she realizes all those things aren't for her? :)

    4. Thank you, Chinabun!
      Haha icicle, good hypothesis!

    5. I got my Teru just today, she has her default faceup but I would like to change it when I'll be better at faceupping(?) eheh

oh ops I forgot to introduce her! and introduce me, but well there's not much to say about me...only that I have lots of tinies (under 16cm) and Teru is my biggest doll
she surprisingly came with that outfit and luckily I had these shoes that fitted her just fine...and they're a perfect match!
now I'm very undecided about her wig, I don't know if choosing between the two she tried or if buying a new one (of course I would prefer keeping the money :P)
and as for the name she'll be probably called LaColt and she'll be sister of ltf Ante elf (I only have the faceplate for now) but that one is white skin! will need to see how they work together when Ante will have a body and a faceup!

    6. LaColt with two of her new friends (just before going to bed)

    7. Anyone have a good guess when they'll open the green line again? I'm thinking about getting a Ronnie with the "Late points" they'll given me, but I'm hesitant because of the current 7 month wait times.

    8. you can buy the body and different heads (not all of them though) separately in the "parts" section! you can also choose white skin and makeup! :)

    9. My two Lati's are out for new faceups! So excited!!!! I've already converted one over to S hooks in her hands and feet and now the other will get the same treatment! yeah!!! Kinda like getting new dolls all over again.

    10. It works out at $64 more to buy seperately though, plus the wait times are still as long...

    11. I have two Lati Green Grownup Lea dolls that I need to find shoes for. Can anyone guide me to someone who sells shoes for these gals?

    12. Just about all shoes sold for YO-SD sizes will work (4.2 to 4.5 cm). If you'd like specific links, you'll need to tell us what styles you're looking for...

    13. Thank you. Am looking for cute little mary janes and some sandals. I will go take a look around now that I know what size to get.

    14. oh I know, but for now it's the only way if she wants one new :/ btw they sell also lati yellow in normal or white skin for 300$ only because they have a special faceup and all the fullset has to be bought for more money, but people buy them anyway instead of buying them for 100$ less, I can't see much difference

I buy shoes from mimiwoo, her shoes are pretty big :) I have some shoes that I bought from ebay and even though they're for normal yosd (not slim) they are a little small

edit: ops, I forgot to post a pic of LaColt with her new hair (:

    15. If you are looking for cute mary janes in every color you should look up Deb's Adorables on eBay. I will say though, that the proprietor is not the easiest person to communicate with from her separate website. Stick to the eBay sales if you can.

    16. hello spring!

    17. Hi! I just adopted a Lea and clothes for her are kind of driving me crazy. The thing is that I want her to have more of an old-fashioned, lacy look (preferably in cream/brown tones), and I want a dress that's long. I know, that's really specific. :) I'll probably have to break down and see if I can commission something at some point, but I was wondering--anyone know if some shorter MSD dresses might fit? That would work with the length, but I know MSDs have the mature busts. Does that always matter so much? Or do certain styles of dress just kind of hang down longer in the bust area? I don't really mind a little gap . . .

MarshMellina, LaColt is so pretty, especially in that sweater and hat! If I were to get another Lati Green, it would probably be a Teru. :)

Here is my gorgeous Lea (Ismene):

    18. It's fun to see pics of so many lati greens!

Ayla160 like a morigirl style? I think that would be really cute on your girl!

Here are pics of my lati green, a "grownup Lea (sp. tan skin)". Her name is Anatole ^__^

    19. Oh wow I was thinking of parting with my lati but there faces look amazing. Thinking I should get her customised instead now

    20. Lovely Leas, ladies!

    21. I just adopted a Lati Green a few weeks ago. I've never bonded with any girls that size (all my dollies are tiny) but my Green Lea is now one of my favorite dolls! I am really surprised to like her so much. Looking forward to more photos :)

    22. Hey guys! This thread has been asleep for a while. Where are all those cute Lati kids? I'll post some spam as soon as I can remember how to, lol.

    23. Hey guys, yes it sure has been a while! I still have my first doll, Maddy (my green Lea). I will have to drag a picture of her off of my camera for you!

    24. Here's a pic of Haneoka and her new friend Wendy at Dollism.[IMG] casta266, on Flickr

    25. Hey Spore, it has been so long. I would love to see some Maddy spam.

    26. Love it, casta! Dollism was fantastic, wasn't it? I wish I was able to connect with more people, including you and Haneoka! It's kind of crazy to think we probably passed each other or maybe even met. I didn't bring Maddy along to Dollism, but here is a little Christmas Maddy:

    27. Oh Spore, Maddy looks so adorable with her little Santa doll! Yes, Dollism was the best! I can't wait to do it again. Hope we do meet next time.

    28. Hi, new to this particular doll list. I just this morning purchased a Lati Green Coco here on DOA and I figure she will be home in a little over a week. I'm looking forward to having Coco again, as I had one back in 2007 and then sold her after about a year (along with all my other BJDs). Now I'm building back my BJD family and was thrilled to see an older Coco on DOA. I hope to share photos and see how others are "playing" with their dolls.

    29. LittleBitGirl, welcome. This thread has been sleeping for a while, but I'm hoping we can get it going again. Can't wait to see pics of your Coco.

    30. Thanks Casta266. Tonight I went through my doll clothing to set aside some things for her. Then I went to Etsy and made a list....didn't buy....just getting ready. :) She's coming DHL so I'm hoping it won't take as long as postal can. We'll see. I'll be sure to share pics though. Nothing I like to do better than take pictures!

    31. Quick question: The Lati site shows Teru as a boy; however he has such a great face for a girl. I was wondering if any of you have used Teru as a girl or if Teru has been kept a boy by most. You guessed it....I just bought a Teru (on the secondary market) and I figure a week and Teru will be here....maybe even before Coco makes it since she's coming from overseas and he's in the States.

    32. LittleBitGal: wow, that is great! Teru is awesome. My Teru is a boy, but if you go back a few pages you can find some pics of Teru as a girl.

    33. my Teru is a girl :)

(this is not her usual wig)

    34. MarshMellina; Thanks for sharing a photo of your Teru. She has such a great face and seems to go well either way. I'm going to start out dressing him as a boy and see if I get the look I want from him. If not, he may become a she. :) I found a few things in my clothing boxes to at least get him off to a start and I decide what he looks best in. Then I imagine I'll be clothes shopping.

The lady I bought him from had him painted with artwork and is removing the paint before sending, so that will delay his arrival a bit.

I'm also trying to decide what I want Teru and Coco's living space to be like....decorations, props, and that sort of thing.

    35. oh you're welcome ^^ actually I have to say that the factory faceup looks a little boyish but with a custom faceup she would look even better (but for now she'll stay like this :P)
anyway we like the same sculpts! I want grown up Coco too!!

    36. Thought I'd share a pic of my Teru too, although he's a boy. [IMG]Momiji by casta266, on Flickr

    37. Oh thank you for sharing your Teru boy! I've done a wide search of photo albums and most of the Teru's I've seen have been girls. I like the faceup on yours and the wig is similar to the one I am thinking of getting for my boy... ForMyDoll in cocobrown (reddish brown). I think I'm going to order dark green eyes, but can't decide on 14mm or 16mm. I think I'm leaning toward the 14mm. I want him to look like he's about 12 years old.

    38. Just got message that Teru is in the post and on his way!!! :dance According to the tracking site, he should be delivered on Tuesday/Jan.20. Also, Coco has made it to the U.S. and is in Customs. Crossing fingers she gets out of there quickly!

Eyes: I keep forgetting, is it the bigger the size (say 16mm) the younger the look of the doll's face; and the smaller size (14mm) the older the look? I want these two to be in the age range of 11-13 or so. I need to order eyes so if the above is true, then I should get the 14mm? Comments? Suggestions?

    39. Great news about your dolls being on the way LittleBitGirl. True, the smaller the eyes the more mature the look, so you definitely want to go with the 14mm eyes.

    40. I was in shock when the mailman honked his horn (telling me he needed a signature). I went out and signed and the package came from Germany! It was Coco! I quickly dressed her, found a wig and eyes (neither of which is permanent) to use till we decide what will be her "look". Then she roamed the doll room and became aquainted with her new surroundings. She also met and made friends with Sparky (a Vogue Ginny dog). It's nice to have a LG Coco back in the dollroom. Have to wait till Tuesday for Teru.

    41. Yay happy to hear about the incoming greens! I alternate between 14mm and 16mm eyes in my Lea. The smaller eyes make her look older for sure.

    42. She's adorable, Linda! Coco is my favorite among my Lati Green kids...Love her outfit!

    43. LittleBitGirl, your Coco is too cute! I'm glad you got her so quickly.

    44. Congratulations on your Coco Linda! I really miss mine.

So great to see the thread alive and well. I just bought a Gloomy Garden Senny recently. So cute but I still miss my NS Senny.

    45. tmsanders, Senny is gorgeous! Those big brown eyes jump out at you. It always amazes me that we decide to part with a doll and then a while later we regret doing it. I know I won't get back all the ones I regret, but I was glad to get Coco. It feels right. Maybe someday you'll get the NS Senny again.

    46. tmsanders I love your Senny! I have always thought of getting a Gloomy Garden Senny to go with my ns Senny because I love the Senny sculpt so much.

    47. Linda, I only sold my dollies years ago, because we were moving and really needed the money. They sold very quickly. I miss Coco, Senny and Renia. The Lati Greens have always been my favorite dollies along with my Luts Kid Delfs. They work so well together. :-)

I'm working on buying back my favorite dollies and adding new ones to my family. The Lati Greens are now the #1 dollies on my list to acquire. I'm forever hopeful Lati will resell the Greens again one day. I check back often.

    48. Yes, why DID Lati stop selling any dolls but whites and yellows? They just weren't as popular? LittleBitGal, congrats on your sweet Coco, and I love your doll room! I know exactly who Sparky is, since I have him myself. tmsanders, Senny is wonderful. I love Lati's winter tan skin, and I really like that bow in her hair.

My Ismene (Lea) decided she wanted to say hi when she saw the other greens. I was so lucky to get her from the marketplace a while back.

    49. Ayla160, your Lea is beautiful. I'm loving all the pictures!

    50. She's a cutie, Tammy! I haven't really bonded with my Senny or Teru-I think it that new resin color for the NS dolls...it is just so pale. I much prefer my older kids...Coco Ronnie and Lea.

    51. Tammy, I remember you selling your dolls for the move and thinking how sad. I'm glad you are replacing some of them and if, like the rest of us, adding to them too.

Ayla10, Your Lea is very striking. I've always though Lea to be sad, like something has happened she doesn't want to talk about. If you have Sparky, you must have a Ginny or two.....or more. :)

Rosi, I know you are happy with Senny's skin tone, but she is very pretty. Maybe you just need more one on one time with her....for her to grow on you.

I'm counting down till Tuesday when Teru is supposed to arrive. Even though he doesn't have a faceup, I'll still share photos. Then I'll have to send him out for one soon. Need to find an artist first. Please keep sharing photos, as I never tire of seeing them!

    52. Rosi, I completely understand not bonding with the really pale-skinned dolls. They look great in pictures, but I don't seem to be able to bond with them. I've had a couple of white-skinned dolls and a couple of really pale normal skin dolls. Just not my preference. I didn't try to buy a Ronnie go on FB recently, because he/she was so pale. Very cute though. I love normal skin dolls and have just started trying out tan dolls. Senny is my first. :) I prefer the lighter tan colors, but I
have seen a few gorgeous dark skinned dollies I wouldn't mind having as well. :-)

    53. I didn't realize Lati had changed their normal skin, since the only doll I have from them is my Lea. My friend bought a Teru not so long ago and we both just thought they made a mistake and sent her a while skin doll! She ended up selling him because of his skin tone. I'll have to let her know it wasn't a mistake after all.

My former Senny and Renia. Senny was brand new from Lati. You can tell Renia had yellowed.

    55. I think these Lati Greens would look adorable with the Fairyland Littlefees. Anybody able to share of picture of them together?

    56. Tammy, thanks for sharing photos of your girls. I always enjoy seeing photos of other people's dolls. I have Little Fee dolls and will take some pics for you.

I changed Coco's clothes today and took more pics. She photographs well. I'm beginning to think she has a "shadow" (if you get my drift). He seems to always be at her side no matter where or what she's doing.
