Could you guys just do a little faceup enhancement on your girls? Just make the lips a little darker? Does the eyebrow scratch really bother you? Could it be seen as a "scar"? If you are able to do (or have done) a little enhancement that might make you feel better.
In theory, yes, definitely. But I have tried a touch up on a doll before and that doll then needed to be sent away and redone at great expense :P
Aww, they are all so cute!!!! Here is Lorelei hanging out around the Christmas props at a meetup one year, to bump up the thread =)
casta266, I love seeing Haneoka! She's so pretty in her new wig. AlhanaTsuki, Lorelei is so cute with the Christmas props! That deer is almost as cute as she is...but not quite!
Guess who got new clothes? I got this dress from fabricfriendsdolls.com , they sell 5stardoll clothes and they fit LATI greens really well. (Tinkerbell donated the wings) My little Sweetpea (Renia)
Wow, she is gorgeous! What a lovely dress -- thanks for the tip on 5Stardoll -- and those wings work so well with it. Is it Amy's from her fullset?
No, the wings came off of a tinkerbell doll. I'm hoping to make some using these wings as a pattern. My first venture into pouring resin but I need the weather to get so much nicer than it is right now. 5stardoll doesn't sell their clothes without a doll purchase, pity.... but there are a couple of sites like fabricfriendsdolls that do. I was so excited to get this dress.
Oops, somehow I missed reading some of these posts and seeing some lovely pictures! I love that fairy dress, what a cutie.
sigh... still waiting for my Ronnie ordered around the first of the year. I'm knitting him a sweater to pass the time but I was wondering if anyone knows (or could measure) the torso length so that I might have an idea how long to make it for the Green body? I'd really appreciate it. Arm length from neck to wrist would be awesome too. TIA!
Hello everyone....It seems that a friend of mine is going to give me a Lati Green Lea doll....I know very little about them and have been chasing search links all over the web. LOL I will have my girl some time in May...Have some questions though...Who makes patterns that fit this little girl....and what size shoes do I get and from who? I have some Ann Estelle patterns....Are they going to fit? Thanks in Advance
My Ronnie has shipped!! A little over two months wait which is not bad for Lati lately and that means I get bonus points Now if only that tracking number would start working/moving .... Dee Musgrave -- I've heard the Leeann dolls from Canada are similar in size. There are clothes available from them directly (http://www.leeann.ca/ ) and some patterns made for them as well ( http://adams-harris.com/leeann_pattern_index.html ). Also, if you search for "Lati Green" on etsy, there are some shops making things especially for them. There's always Spampy too (http://spampy.eaph.com/spampystuff.htm ) -- she will custom make Green sized clothes. Congrats on your gift!
I just got these from dollmore and they fit good: http://www.dollmore.net/shop/step1.php?number=10134 That's Dear Doll size but if you stick to sizes 5cm or a little larger you should be in good shape. Now these ones don't fit: http://2079realms.com/20790013bjd-shoes-6-bb-p-507.html There is a big group order going on and I was excited about these shoes. They're fine for other yosds but they don't fit my Lati Green (or bluefairy yo's) since they run under 5 cm.
Sorry for the delay, hope you're not finished yet. Bottom of neck to belly button is 6cm or 7cm if you want it to go below the waist. Neck to wrist with her arm at her side is 10cm and a hair.
Just what I needed, thank you! I'd stopped knitting it but now I can finish it up in time for his arrival. I appreciate it, Gherkin.
Howdy folks! I just got a Lati Green Renia today in a trade at a doll meet I was at. She's so adorable and I love her slightly larger size! I have a not so great cell phone pic of her and will hopefully get some better photos after I get home from work tomorrow. But here is my new girl, Himiko!
She' so cute! but then again..... I have Renia and I love her!! Because of her size she doesn't have many clothes so I started sewing this weekend so she'll have a good sized wardrobe to pick from!! Himiko's outfit is adorable and makes me wish for spring weather...... awwwww i remember spring weather......
Thanks for the wonderful compliments! I snapped a few photos of her with my other girls, she seems to be fitting in well!
My Ronnie is here! Introducing Willoughby ... Will for short... willoughby by icewerks, on Flickr I've found the LeeAnn clothes were a bit too large (and the shoes laughably so!) but the 1/6 scale action figure clothing works very well. That's what he's wearing here.
Gherkin -- thanks again for the measurements. I was able to finish his homecoming sweater just in time and it fits perfectly. Lati Green ronnie by icewerks, on Flickr
Yes, in fact the pantlegs and sleeves are slightly too long. Shirts with cuffs look best as they scrunch up just enough at the wrist and the pant waists are snug and ride high but I could snap them up. Keep in mind that most of the shirts do not open up along the back so you may need to remove the Green head to slip them on. I'll try and add a pic later of just the pants... Here we go -- 1 6 scale action figure pants... action Green by icewerks, on Flickr They ride a bit higher than the natural waist but the length and width are pretty good. He can sit in these too, unlike the Lati Green jeans I have -- he pops his snap on those when you bend his knees.
Here's the back of another pair, more dress pant with wider leg. These just hit the floor so with shoes, not so bad length but awfully wide at the ankle... dress Green by icewerks, on Flickr I think the tapered legged cargo/military style looks more naturally scaled.
Yes... I *am* going to shamelessly spam spam spam.... and I feel bad leaving my boy's booty hanging out there as the last photo... Will has taken to teasing Lyra whenever he can. Of course, this means he likes her... boys... they never change by icewerks, on Flickr
Such cute pictures and great job on the pants! They look kinda complicated, how did you sew those tiny buttons on the top?
Now that I'm done being swallowed by conventions and finals and the like I've been actually taking photos of my dolls again. Himiko got a new outfit at Anime Detour this year, here she is with her best friends.
AlmySidaKay that cross over bodice dress is adorable! Your group looks so sweet posed together. My crew hate cooperating long enough for me to take a picture. Someone is always falling over or poking someone else in the eye
All of your dolls' outfits are super cute, Almy! I especially love Himiko's dress though! Here is some fresh spam of my little scientist, Maddy, who is playing ginger at the moment!
Knock it off, ronnie, you're supposed to be a boy! sigh... resin kids, whatddya gonna do?... ronnie redhead by icewerks, on Flickr
I think it might be the orange blush... perhaps s/he is really just supposed to be a redhead? little red by icewerks, on Flickr ...and another carrot pigtails by icewerks, on Flickr
We'll give it a few weeks.... I've always thought Ronnie made a sweet girl too but I really was hoping for a boy in this size. Oh well, that's the great thing about bjds -- they can adapt, change, transform into so many looks, it never gets boring. I think I might try looking for a short haired reddish boy wig and see how it goes.
Mine is still all boy-but I had to experiment. LOL! Here he is with his little brother and sister. Will and kids Sunny and Matty by willow_78109 (sweetiemom), on Flickr
Now that's a handsome lad, all boy. Your photo has given me another clue -- it might be that the boy I have in mind is too old for the sculpt... hmm, something to think about while I'm waiting for another red wig...
But he makes such a darn cute girl! I have the same problem with one of my boys. He just makes an adorable lady ;__;
Lol! We need two of them, right? One as a girl, one as a boy -- but then with my luck, I'll find out I've got twin girls
Haha yeah that would be just your luck! The great thing about the lati green body is that it's sexless so you can change it up easily!
Mikayla is my Lati Green Coco from 2009. She started out having lots of adventures, but eventually other dolls came into my life. Mikayla ended up in the box with her clothes. But, this summer, I rediscovered her. I cleaned her up, and she is happy to be out and about again. I have added a few entries to her blog, which has a number of entries from previous years. She is out and looking for friends! Thanks for looking! Sunday at the Zoo by trobertabq, on Flickr Mikayla May's Blog http://mikaylamayjournal.blogspot.com/
I do wish they'd open up sales for the Green girls and boys again. I'd LOVE a Coco to be friends with my Lea. Sigh. She's just that bit bigger than my LTFs and looks out of place on her own! TrobertABQ - Mikayla is gorgeous and that wig and outfit make her look so sweet
Thank you. The wig was her 3rd wig, but she has had it since the first few months she was here. Since I "rediscovered" her this summer, she has been wanting new clothes. I made her little dress and capris this weekend. Fortunately, summer is an easy season to sew for. Green sales sounds fun. Although I'm not in the market for a new Lati, being able to purchase clothing and other accessories might be fun. Did the sales only include re-homing dolls?
Im loving all the pics, but seems to be a bit of a dry spell going on here? I'm thinking of getting a Teru w/ custom face-up and would be so happy if there was a bit more life in this thread
