LA Tea Party Photos

The elves were not for sale. They were on display as examples of the new FCS heads. I have no idea if they'll ever be available as one-offs. I bet they would have had a lot of bids/tickets, though!

I am SO loving the new heads (for the elves/fairies). I was totally drawn to the painted head/bust sample of the BW 31... I think it was...

I really want to save up for a FCS elf-boy now... but I just bought the one-off Shirou, so I'm doomed to be saving for a LONG while before I can afford one! (I also broke my all BW elf trend... aaagh. But how could I resist a Shirou???)

 

He's just sooooo beautiful!!! I was going to start saving for Tsukasa, and now I'm torn!

Thanks to everyone for posting the pictures!! The more I took at the FCS 31 BW boy the more I think I should have gone to the store on Sunday and gotten one .. :/

For extreme lack of Volks tea party knowledge, what is a one-off exactly?

 

Sweet Dreams Nono was won by a nice lady named Melinda, not sure of her DOA name. A lot of people at our table won one-offs.

The Brownie Scout is an Anais owned by Paul, his girlfriend made the outfit which was SO FREAKING CUTE

We're going down to volks this weekend to place an order (or two >__>) for a sunlight fcs (sd13 yori for my sister).

 

At last year's tea party, the Charity One-Off sold very well. The money went to victims of Hurricane Katrina. This year's doll's proceedes went to I believe Make-A-Wish Foundation.

What a wonderful thing for Volks to do!

We've all threatened to chain her to the sewing machine, feeding her nothing but rement gum, but she keeps slipping away!

I had a great time, didn't take enough pictures because I was so giddy. Hopefully we'll get some posted later, but they are mostly of the one-offs and our table o' dollies

A one off is a one of a kind doll that Volks puts together and raffles off. Someone is chosen to buy her (you usually have a little form you fill out with your name, telephone number and which doll you are interested in), basically out of a pool of drawn names. A very lucky and usually excited person.

I hope I can find her DoA name so I can give her a big congratulations!! I was hoping that the Sweet Dream Nono had found a good home and wasn't un-bid for. I'm sure it's obvious, but Sweet Dream Nono is the ultimate "Holy Grail" doll to me. I must have one some day!!!

Isn't Volks wonderful? It's so nice of them to give us a chance at Sunlight skin. I love Volks.

 

I knew quite a few people who were all entering for that lovely girl. Her outfit was amazingly gorgeous!

 

She was a favorite at our table! I was so hoping for that Nono, but my credit card is thanking me we didn't win her!

 

I was hoping for the Tsukasa, but I'm sort of glad in a way I didn't win. I think I heard my credit cards dancing in my pants.

At least I hope it was my credit cards.

Ohhh! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves her! I'd die for a chance at a Sweet Dream Nono! Especially one with snow skin... pure love...

Hopefully one day I'll get to go to a Tea Party and I'll get my chance!

That was the only thing that frustrated me. I started going table to table so late in the day that I didn't even make it half way to take pictures of everyones lovely dolls and we were sitting opposite you at that first table near the stage. Did anyone make it all the way around, it would be really nice to start a thread of owner photos even tho it would be hard to identify everyones specific doll.

Can someone tell me how many Sei-tenshi were given out? Was it five or seven? I can't remember. I'm probably wrong on both counts.

 

@Mercy thanks for the pic! I love also the one from Olivia one-off and the one from Liz! Damn I wish I was rich!

 

Five Sei Tenshi were given away.. and 20 post cards. ( i think it was seven given away in NY) LOL.. so much tension for getting those little angels..

I am finally home and enjoying my new Charity, (Madoka).. she is just so super special..and so glad the money went to a worthy cause..

can't wait to get out to LA again and get another FCS.. that little F 05 head is calling me.. he was an extra special boy.. all the one offs were truly amazing. congrats to all the lucky winners.

 

Rose you got the Charity Auciton Madoka Congratulations.... She was the lovliest of all in my opinion.... She is GORGEOUS!!!!!! That would have been the one and only I would have gone for had I had the chance to attend the Tea Ohhh I'm so happy to hear she went to such an AWESOME person

I think the first one is a Dreaming sister head, but I'm not totally sure... however, I'm positive the second one is a Kun : )

The first one is Sweet Dream Nana and the second is a Kun. Aren't they pretty? I keep forgetting how versitile Kun is.

 

Excellent photos, everyone. Although I am a little surprised that most of the photos are about the dolls. I actually think that the owners are just as important as the dolls. It was interesting to see how each doll reflected their respective owner. Ill post up my photos soon, since I also took a photo of the gruop session at the end of the Tea Party.

 

Many people don't want photos of themselves posted on the web... and since the focus of the Forum is on dolls, it's understandable that most of the pictures are of dolls!

That's not to say pictures of real people aren't allowed ... but it may be a courtesy to ask the subjects if they want their picture posted first.

 

Eeepp... very late addition, but I just posted quite an intensive amount of pictures of the one offs that day ^^
