thanks, I was confused because I thought SDGR Okita would be SD13 Okita head on SDGR body.
they are both really handsome! I wasnt expecting Okita at all..

This is EXACTLY the same i feel And I think I'll also start hunting for Okita later, which might be more expensive, but I can never afford 2 gorgeous Volks limiteds at the same time (having still another one on layaway)

Wow they're all so gorgeous! I love the dress the YoSD is wearing, Volks seems to be making such wonderful clothe lately~ The boy is really handsome!

I am not lacking in the SD17 body department. However, if I do like his face mold then I'd need to reconsider.

Okita is really handsome. I regret letting go of my 1st Okita so, perhaps I can get him back this time around.

 

I hope so much for a chance to get Hijikata via Yahoo Auctions, which I think is more expensive than regular way, but unfortunately it's my only way to get him. And I hope so much that there will be enough available - also of Okita some months afterwards...

So....Okita now joins Shirou, Isao, Kohya, Irvin and Williams on the list of SD13 boys to have two releases. And, like Williams, Okita's second version was an upgrade. I wonder if Okita will go the way of Lucas (six releases) hmmmm.....

 

Does YoSD Little Lorina has the same head mold as YoSD little Alice but in normal skin?

Okita is more handsome this time around definitely. It kind of looks like Volks has "reworked" his sculpt...his nose isn't so big anymore and his eyes don't seem so droopy. Or maybe he looks different with the new faceup?

Im probably wrong on all accounts ...does anyone else see the drastic change in Okita's sculpt?

 

He is obviously really different and very drastically changed. He has single eyelid now for one thing. eyes are much smaller. I assume his head is smaller too since he goes on SDGR body.

 

This Hijikata is perfect for me who loves Gintama's Toshiro! OMG OMG I want him. I love both Okita, too. I seriously need money and luck now.

 

OH MY. I was reeeeeeeally hoping to be completely safe from this Dolpa. XD; Well, at least I've already got an Okita, but that SD17 Hijikata might need me to take him home.

 

Just when I thought I'd be safe from Hijikata, Volks blindsides me with a SDGr Okita. Oh Volks, you are too cruel. I am not amused, sirs and madams. : |

Aside from the usual unsafeness of wanting Yo's I'm safe this time around.
I do love the way they're sculpting nowadays, but sadly I saw Okita and at first I was like OKITA?!?!?! and then I was like Okita???? Don't get me wrong people they are both beautiful sculpts but they both look like Minoru and Ryouya's brothers...
LOL More so than Tsukasa and Ryouya...

LUCKY ME I don't want any....
Aside from you know... White Rabbit and Lorina... Now those two I KNOW will have to come home this time around.

I've been waiting for a SD17 all this time and wow, Hijikata is just perfect! I love his outfit and everything. I like Okita and the Yosd too but it's too much at the same time. This Dolpa is really tempting...

 

Safe from Hijikata - I really don't like his face from that shot, but ;___________; blindsided by Okita.

I think Lorina is a NS Alice too. Thank goodness she already looks so much like my Yuh that I have no need of her, because she is really cute.

(We get extra releases of these two and not the Yos from last year, Volks? Sigh. Still waiting for Syo to show up. )

Gah! Everything that I was disappointed with in the original release of Okita Souji has been fixed up so nicely in this one! *dies* Why, Volks, why do you do this when I'm saving up for NY Dolpa? Why??

 

I agree about the Yo looking like Little Alice! The outfit and wig are similar if not the same, at the least!

I think I'm safe - I already have a Little Alice coming and I don't collect boys! :-)

Wow, that is TOTALLY a different Okita face. Why are they bothering to call him by the same name? This guy looks more like Heath and Madoka than he looks like the previous Okita sculpt.

And I really can't see Hijikata's face all that well with the hair and the angle and the pixels - all I can see is he sorta looks like an even angrier Ryoya? - and one seriously luscious SD17 uniform. I can't wait to see him up close. I already want his coat.

But that Nouveau Okita is still eighty-five kinds of adorable. No kidding. They are really going for the jugular this time! Wonderful shinsengumi in gorgeous outfits. And those of you worrying about a Graffiti's price point, don't - when you get that body in your hands, you will fall in love and suddenly the price will make sense.

Your chances are every bit as good as anyone else's. Lotteries are cool like that.

 

Oh... well I definitely wasn't expecting to get lambasted by that increadible and mature looking Okita redux! I second what JennyNemesis said - totally different face. Wow. And weird, but I'm not complaining any...

I think Volks made a new Okita because of Okita fans like myself who thought the last one was more like a Kid Okita and not the young swordsman for which Okita was known for. This one has all of the ambition and determination (blah blah blah) which we (the Okita fans) associated him with.

Thru out recent Japanese pop culture and media, Okita (and the rest of the Shinsengumi members) have had many many fictional characterizations (one of which even described him as a girl in disguise) so both versions of Okita from Volks are just two more variation added to the pot LOL LOL

I really love this new Okita.


I love all four LE Dolls and the Yo LE outfits.... I am so doomed... maybe Volks wants me to walk to NY for DPNY since I will not have money for airline ticket and sleep on the street for those two nights LOL LOL

Call me an old geezer complaining at the young whippersnappers, but I really wish he was an SD13 boy. I'm not a fan of the new bodies. No junk in the trunk.

I'm trying to decide if my love of his face is going to outweigh the aggravation of trying to set up a split for it, or hold out for something at NY Dolpa. Volks is so responsible for at least 2 of my 4 grey hairs.

I don't think it's related to any fairytales, all I can think of is that it's the same name as the character in Edgar Allen Poe's poem 'The Raven' (Actually it's Lenore in most versions, but there are draft versions where it's Lorena for some reason), one of the most famous poems ever written according to most people. Also, Lorina/Lorena (The pictures are actually labeled Lorina, not Lorena) is often a name associated with a girl from England. Which is where Alice is from, so it may be tied in that way? I'm not totally sure. Just guessing by what I do know.
