Kyoto Dolpa 7 (March 14, 2010)

OMG!! I've also won an auction of Okita today!! I still can't believe it! Because I didn't expect that I get a chance this fast - usually I had planned to search for him about some months later, I'm still broke because of Hijikata (still paying layaway to my dear auction agent) - but my Mom lend me some money to pay at least half of the bid price for sweet Okita (she adores him a lot, and was also sad to see Hijikata all alone). I couldn't have got him without her help and auction agent's kind offer of layaway!! I'm soooooo happy!!!!!!!

Thank you, ria_ria! Oh yes, the minute I saw the first pictures I fell so much in love with both of them, I really had to get them all! But I never thought I could get them both so fast, due lack of money. So I'm so happy and thankful that my mother helped me!

Whee! That's cause for celebration! Congrats both Sadomina & Izam - Okita 2 at home is just gorgeous - and an Okita + Hijikata set is even nicer.

 

Well, I went and did it... both Hijikata and Okita. No more dollies for me, ever. Or until Volks makes human ears an option for MSD FCS, whichever comes first.

Sooooo, am I the only person hoping we'll hear from the dealers tonight?

I did a little bit of obsessive research digging and found that Kerbey Lane & We Love Dolls notified their winners the Saturday before the VolksUSA results came out for Dolpa 22 dolls, and the Sunday before VolksUSA lottery results for HTD Nagoya 4. I'm hoping we'll follow the DP22 model, and find out very soon!

 

Oh! Thanks for doing that research thesaraghina... I've been wondering about it myself. I've been waiting in potentially-broke anticipation.

 

I'm dying to know......I entered for Hijikata, but now that I have seen owner shots of Okita, I'm thinking I should have gone for both.

I'm dying to hear from the dealers too! The suspense is killing me, I think "potentially broke anticipation" sums it up nicely. I was imagining we'd hear from them around the 22nd, but I haven't entered for a Dolpa doll in aaages so its good to hear that it could be sooner. ^^

 

I will try for Okita in the AE. I only just discovered that I can not, actually, live without him! Owner photos made me faint with desire.

Hahaha, I was out and about with my friend today, and kept pulling my iPhone out to check my email every few minutes, but it just made me disappointed when there was nothing there!

 

Okay, it's nice to know I'm not the only one obsessively checking email or getting excited when there's an email only to be disappointed when it's for something else. This is my first lottery, does it get any easier?

ty everyone im not really a huge fan of volks, i never cared about them, but when i saw hijikata i knew: must have!
so now i can see why people thinks Volks dolls are so special. im really curious to see the "difference".
btw, my Toshizo won't come alone, i was able to snag a Ryoya Konoe too. they will be brothers.. or lovers.. :P

Well, I'm not sure how it works for the International AE, but I'm sure they will offer the clothes at some point! ^_-

I don't know if this is maybe slowing down the process for the dealers or not, but today (Monday, March 22) is a national holiday in Japan.

I just can't make it happen this year.....my daughter has commitments that weekend that can't be changed and although I can't believe it, I just have to miss Dolpa.

 

Efff, so I'm pretty excited for the results from Volks. 8); I'm hoping the news brightens my week and for others too~

 

Received Kyoto 7 confirmations this mornig. All of my confirmations have been sent out so if you did not receive a "good news" email from me sorry, we won't have a doll for you. I requested a total of 52 dolls and got 10. Volks told me these boys are very popular.

The 10 people I confirmed will have their names sent to Volks so they won't be duplicated. As it stands now I don't know if any of the confirmed got emails from WLD so if I do have duplicate dolls to lottery I will post. Thanks & good luck to everyone with the Volks Lottery and AE.

I lost on KL myself, so looks like now VolksUSA lottery is going to be my biggest chance. I've kinda given up at this point though, lol. Hijikata is so popular and my luck doesn't extend toward these kind of odds. XD I splurged on a DDdy body for my poor H-04 girl instead.
