Hrm. Well dangit, now I want them both! LOL. Hijitaka looks the same yet also much better to me, I'm gonna have to do some creative budgeting and see if I can swing entering for him in the Volks USA lottery.

Okita has a different feel to me in owner pics though -- he looks more mature and less feminine, IMHO. I still like him, though I'm not so sure he'd work for what I wanted him for. Ah well, if I win him through a dealer and he doesn't work out then I will just find another head for that lovely SDGr body.

Yep, that's what Kerbey Lane said in their email. It seems that they will do their lottery before Volks does theirs, and then give the names they pulled to Volks so there won't be any duplicates.

EDIT: JennyNemesis ~ I owned a very boyish Jun for quite awhile, and that cutie sure does look like a Jun to me!

 

It could be a Jun! Jun makes a very cute boy (she is basically Shiro with more lipstick and less nose). But I can't see the body or the hands at all, those would be a clue to size & gender. And I can't see the sign in that pic. I'll have to check out the other oneoff pix & see what s/he is.

 

Oh god, the scalper pictures of Hijikata are RUINING me. I was so, so determined and sure that I was safe this Dolpa... but I don't think I am. I think I'll end up putting in for him.

Lorina is adorable and comes with fullset. I think I will try for her on YJ as well. So I am guessing that White Rabbit and Alice do not come as fullset, not even with the wig, am I correct????

 

Nope, Alice, Lorina, White Rabbit and SwD White Rabbit are all fullset. Someone selling on the secondary market might not be selling them fullset, but Volks sold them all as fullset.

 

Oh thats great!!!. Because it seems on YJ all the open boxed pics (or at least the ones I saw) of White Rabbit and Alice just show the doll and that is all. Well that is good to know!!! thanks

 

You need to double check the details of the listing
Not all pic will show all the items most of the listing use Volks pic so you need to check the details listed for each auction

There is one listing for doll only. Rest (at this time) is for full set or full set with the key optional item

Thank you to everyone who shared pictures of Okita and Hijikata--I was unsure at the start, but after seeing real-life pictures, I'm even more indecisive. Both head sculpts and faceups are equally wonderful.

The Graffiti body's posing ability is amazing.
The SD17 body is tall and gorgeous.

It may come down to a mere flip of a coin!

I am really liking Okita's face from the cell phone pics, he looks so lifelike and purty Though I can't justify trying to get both of them >.< I'm still debating whether or not to enter for Hijikata!!! He is such a dream boy *sigh*

I just won an auction at Y!A And my plans for also getting Okita died at the same moment... This was the most expensive doll I've ever got, so there are no funds left for Okita at the moment. I try to get him some months later, but I doubt the auctions of him will wait

I can't tell you how happy I am to get Hijikata!! It's like a dream!! I wished for him so long (even before I knew Volks would really release him one day!!), and he looks more fantastic I could have ever imagined! I could cry!

 

Little Lorina is on her way to me I'm so happy! Gosh, she may get here before SD16 Kira O_o

Does anyone know when the Dress collection will be available thru lottery or what not? I really want to get a couple of the boys outfits

 

There's a dress I want really bad too! I wiiish they'd have a lottery but I doubt it.

 

No lottery??? Maybe they will start showing up on Y!J.......

 

Most of the outfits are for sale during the AE (Japanese and International sites) but the problem is they tend to still be first come first serve so the servers get overloaded and it is a bit of a mess. ^^;

VolksUSA (and sometimes Kerbey Lane and WeLoveDolls) tends to get the outfits in about 2-3 months post a Dolpa, around the same time they start shipping the dolls. Sometimes they have very limited amounts of items but their server doesn't tend to crash lol

Congrats to everyone who got dolls via Y!J or a service!

 

I think that you should join the mailing list for Kerbey Lane, so that they'll notify you once they start offering these outfits from their shop. They do a lottery for the outfits if there are more entrants than actual merchandise. I know VolksUSA sells by a first come, first serve basis online. And I don't get newsletters from We Love Dolls, so I don't know how they handle their sales.

 

I saw owner photo of Hijikata up close (not sale photos from Y!J) and I must say, he really looks like a mix between F38 + Alain

His eyes are very squared (very big and wide for SD17) and it is apparent his right eye is a lot bigger than his left eye. His upper lip is very thin as well.

I actually thinks he looks a little different from Volks photos when I see owner photos. Volks made his face look very squared but in actuality I don't think it is so.

Has anyone heard back from We Love Dolls or Kerby Lane?

 

I posted this before but it kinda got lost in the general excitement... Kerby Lane told me in an email that they won't even know their numbers until later this week.

It's being a long, slow, somewhat agonizing week -- especially with these fantastic pictures showing up. Dang they're gorgeous.

As it is though, no amount of creativity can fit Hijitaka into my budget in addition to Okita. xD But the more I look at Okita the more I like him, so I took the plunge and entered for him in Volks USA lottery.

Now, for the suspense-filled wait. It sure is gonna be a long week!

 

I am going to try out for Little Lorina in the Afther event in Japan,
I am on vacation there, so I'll be earlie at the Harajuku shop april 3 lol..

So that adorable little one-off IS a Jun boy...! An SD10! Too much cute. On the flipside, that Williams, *meyow*.

And I let out such an undignified squeal to see Shiro & Tsukasa cosplaying together again. I love when they do that! I keep hoping that we'll see this couple (in whichever cosplay outfits they are into at the moment ^^) in the oneoff booth at an American Dolpa, someday. Tsukasa in that red lipstick & long hair is just gorgeous, and Shiro couldn't be cuter if he tried.

I hope to see Shinsengumi owner-pix soon too! Good luck to all in the lottery...
