My new girl Evaan. I realized as I post this that she's wearing a knit dress that I've posted before, but what I'm really showing off is the wig, which was made with this pattern.

    2. @auntbear holy cow, your props are so gorgeous!! And I'd like to say I love how enthusiastic and supportive you are. It really means a lot. You are an awesome person. :)

@El BJD That is a fabulous top, and I was so inspired by your tattoo sleeve leggings. Wowza!

@Samsally OMG that wig TOTALLY caught my eye! It's awesome! I love how it looks with her eyes. Love the dress, too! ^_^ Oh, yeah, and Evaan is soooooo adorable!

@Wovenflame BLUE RIBBON!!! You are truly one of my knitting heroes. Seriously. :)

    5. those are so pretty lelycat! i love your fine needlework!

    6. Thank you so much!

    7. Such wee tiny knits! I've sewn and knitted for dolls that are Pukifee sized, but Realpukis are on a whole other level!

    8. Yes, realpuki's are way smaller than pukifee's but I use the same needles and yarns just less stitches :)

    9. Thank you, but it definitely wasn't my idea, lol, I saw the pattern and knew I had to try it. I attached the hair with a crochet hook like shown here. I didn't give her a part, though, I just tied some thread around a clump of yarn, then fanned the yarn out on both sides of the tie, sewing the bottom half down. Er... if that makes any sense. Here's some pictures.

i still haven't taken the clip off that marks the back of the head, lol.

    10. That came out really great! Usually when I knit the wig cap I use single ply and give them dreads, but your girl's wig is really neat (and goes so nicely with her eyes) Did you start at the top and knit down (increasing) or start from the bottom and knit up (decreasing)?

    11. Thank you! It was bottom up with some shortrows for shaping. I used this pattern but the first attempt with size 0 needles turned out too big and i went down two needles sizes (which was too much, but i stretched it some and it worked out okay). The thread is actually cotton crochet thread and the 'hair' was four ply acrylic yarn that I pulled apart and ironed flat. I just lucked out that the colors were so similar.

    12. Okay, last thing for a while probably. I've killed my wrists and I STILL can't get the collar right, so here it is without. I can't figure out how S2KP2's are supposed to be centered and how they play into making the collar look right. I think I may not have left myself enough room, anyway. I dunno, maybe it looks okay without.

    13. I don't know what the collar was supposed to look like, but the sweater looks fine as it is.

    15. Lelycat: I see they are having a good laugh about something! These little ones are always up to mischief from what I have heard.

Zhanna: what stitch did you use? It looks so effective.

    16. Yes Chrystal all three are full of little jokes and up to mischief and have lots of fun.

    17. Chrystal I knitted dress by this video. It is on Russian but I think you'll understand.

Chrystal, the number of loops multiple of five , plus two for the symmetry of the loop and the two edge loops. I hope you will understand me.

It's hard to explain my thoughts in English . In the native language easier.

    18. Thank you. I will watch the video.

    19. Just finished a mohair dress for my Realfee Soso. Her name is Starr.

I found the beads for the hem but can't find my narrow pink ribbon for the bodice!

    20. Oh my! She looks great, love the beaded hem :D

    21. Thanks, Girrl!

    22. Still. Knitting. Shawl. Will likely be knitting shawl forever...

(OK, that's being overdramatic. But I'm at the point where it's taking me 20 minutes to do a single row. Oh, and when I've finished this I plan to start a new one, with different coloured beads. Because that's obviously the sensible thing to do.)

    23. Amateur. Wait until it takes you two days to knit a row, then we will talk. Just kidding. I made a Niebling lace tablecloth once, that was something, especially the blocking part. Now when I call my mom on skype, I see it on her table just behind her back. Makes me smile every time.
      Which shawl are you knitting?

      • x 1
    24. Wow! I'd love to do something like that one day - or a ring shawl.

What's weird is I've done plenty of things that had as many or more stitches to a row, it's just this feels like it's taking longer. Probably because I've mentally already moved onto the next one - this was kind of a "test" and it's far from perfect, though it'll do. Though what might also be slowing it down is me staring out of the window waiting for a doll that's due to arrive... I think I've seen every delivery van except UPS this morning.

I'm doing 198 Yards Of Heaven - 2mm needles, 2/30 silk, with seed beads at the leaf points. I've just got onto the edging, so only another 15 or so rows to go.

    25. That one is nice! Good luck with it. Mmm, silk, yummy.

    26. That's not so bad, you're so close! (believe me I know the feeling, I got very well acquainted with it during the 4 months I was working on Athรฉnaรฏs' sweater *_*)

    27. In fairness to the shawl, I have stopped it at various points to knit 3 different hats, that might also have been a contributing factor.

Once this is done I'll count up how many beads I used, and the next version might be with Preciosa or Swarovski 2mms, because everyone needs more sparkly.

    28. Wow. That's beautiful!

    29. Oh my, what a mini work of art! You must have the eyesight of a hawk and the patience of a saint. Stunning.

    30. Thank you!
Thank you. Only 25+ years of knitting under my belt (now I've gone and dated myself, lol)

    31. That is gorgeous! What size needles are you on, so we know just how nuts you are? ;)

    32. I'm perfectly sane, thank you ;) I knit a fair isle sweater for my mom ages ago and she felted it down to fit her dog, and that was the end of me knitting for my relatives

Yarn โ€“ Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk (2 ply lace weight)
      Needles โ€“ Size 000
      Gauge โ€“ 4st/cm | 9st/in

    33. @Girrl- My brain hurts to think how you have to knit that! Totally amazing.
I'm way envious. You are a marvel.:)

    34. You. Are. So. Patient :aeyepop:

      Respect!

    35. Fit the DOG? No wonder she didn't get any more knitting! But wow that is gorgeous.

    36. Marvellous knitting, Girrl!!!

Found ribbon for the dress plus an old Easter egg I made for my daughter over 40 years ago, when I first taught myself to crochet. I should give it to her again, tomorrow. :)

    37. You need to post another picture, the egg is hiding the ribbon detail!!

    38. Girrl: That is beautiful. Please do post the finished item so we can all see it.

    39. Are you using sewing cotton?

    40. For you, Girrl.

    43. Thank you, I closed the scarf with one of my earrings, a silver lizard.
