      Knitted Jacket for Iplehouse BID

I adapted this from a 1960's Sindy doll pattern
It also fits Custom House Ange Ai dolls with sleeve turned up as a cuff, or you could knit shorter sleeves :3nodding:

      Needles: Size 12 UK Imperial / 2.75mm / 2 US
I used Cygnet Wool Rich 4 ply (75% wool, 25% polyamide)
      3 small buttons needed

      Tension:
8 sts and 12 rows = 1 square inch measured over pattern
      or
9 sts = 1 inch in width measured over st st

      Worked in one to armholes
      Cast on 55 sts.

      1st row: (Right side) K.
      2nd row: * K1, P1; rep from * to last st, K1.
      3rd row: K2, yrn (buttonhole), K2tog, K to end.

Work 9 rows in pattern then rep the buttonhole row.
Rep the last 10 rows once more.

Divide Work: Next Row: (Wrong side)
      * K1, P1; rep from * 6 times more, K1 (15 sts worked)
Cast off the next 2 sts (i.e. P next st then cast it off etc.)
Work in pattern until there are 21 sts on needle after cast off.
      Cast off next 2 sts.
      Work to end.
So you should have 15 sts on each front and 21 sts on back.

Work on the last set of 15 sts for Right Front
Work 1 row then slip sts of Back and Left Front onto holders.
Work 12 more rows straight, ending at armhole edge.

Next Row: Cast off 5 sts for shoulder, work to end.
Work 1 row on these 10 sts. Leave sts on holder for collar.

      Back:
Slip 21 sts for Back onto needle. Join yarn at right underarm edge and work
      14 rows in pattern.

Next Row: Cast off 5 sts for right shoulder, work to end.
Cast off 5 sts for left shoulder, break yarn. Do not complete row.
Slip remaining 11 sts onto holder.

Left Front: Slip 15 sts from holder to needle. Join yarn at underarm edge.
Work in pattern for 14 rows, ending at arm edge.
Next Row: Cast off 5 sts for shoulder, work to end.

Continue on the remaining 10 sts for Collar as follows:
1st Row: Work 10 sts of Left Front, slip the 10 sts of Right Front onto the other needle straight edge first.
Then slip the 11 Back sts onto that same needle, then work in pattern across these sts.
Continue in pattern across all 31sts for 8 rows. Cast off.

      Sleeves:
Cast on 15 sts and work 14 rows in pattern

Next Row: Increase 1 st at each end (17 sts)
Work another 9 rows in pattern.

Next Row: Increase 1 st at each end (19 sts)
Work another 5 rows in pattern.

Next, decrease 1 st at each end of every row until there are 9 sts left.
      Cast Off.

Pin pieces out flat on a folded towel and hover over with steam iron.
      Leave to cool.
      Sew shoulder seams
      Sew in sleeves
      Sew sleeve seams
      Sew on buttons

Take a pic of it on your doll and share on Den of Angels :thumbup

    2. Beautiful work! THANK YOU!
I looked up your models for height: 26 cm or just over 10 inches. I hope that helps other knitters.
      Thanks!

    3. Thank you so much for sharing this! I have knitted a jacket for my CH Ange Ai in sock yarn, this was fun to knit and I am sure more of my dolls will want one! Just need to find my button box now...
