Kaye Wiggs Annabella Mini discussion Part 1

Sorry I've been away for so long....I've been completely consumed (and completely stressed) with work (busy travel season with my job) and selling my house!!

hobbysue, that gingham outfit is adorable!! I think it would look great with white bloomers, too. I love the idea of it being an old-fashioned swimsuit. Too cute.

I've been laughing over all the comments re: Annabella's smooth resin. Seems we all love "petting" our girls! Only here can we say that without getting the strangest of looks!! I agree, though....just love the feel of her silky smooth resin (in fact, I think that's one of the first things I mentioned in my first post after receiving her! ).

Well, another little feline arrived today. She will actually belong to the anxiously anticipated new KW arrival, but until "the cousin" arrives, Cosette is babysitting her little kitty. She's also sporting yet another new look (I've been having a little too much fun ordering Jpop wigs!).

Happy May, everyone!! (Still anxiously awaiting some spring-like weather here in the Pacific Northwest!!)

Just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to everyone, we all have resin kids so....Happy day to all. My new outfit from Liz Frost arrived today just in time for Mother's Day. Liz is an outstanding artist!!

Grace, your Annabella is stunning in her outfit by Liz, and I love how this wig looks with it. Also - love those big dark eyes! Are they available on your site? They look like 18mm size??

 

OK, it's Annie time again, starring another wig from Grace - along with her fab Gothic Ballerina shoes again, her darling corset set from Connie of Sweet Creations, and a new sweater from an ebay seamstress (even though it's definitely NOT sweater weather here in Texas today, but Annie has this thing about modeling everything immediately). But this wig!! I love all of the many wigs I've gotten from Grace at Jpopdolls, but she's outdone herself this time for sure! This is her human hair wig she's made just for Annabella and Nyssa, and it's been styled and cut by Grace herself in such an appealing way, and the color is fantastic. I hope my photo shows its beautiful natural-looking highlights and how wonderfully wavy it is - I just love it. And it smells freshly shampoo'd, as though Annie just stepped out of the shower LOL.

 

A quick peek at a new fashion in Annabella/Nyssa size...turquoise belt is removable!

Connie, Annabella's new dress set is so cute, makes her look like such a little lady. And her wig is the perfect style for this look.


Grace, Annabella in this wig is fabulous! And is she wearing those new eyelashes - can't tell for sure, but her eyes look extra-spectacular the way you have her done up here!

 

Lokilady, yes I did a repaint on her and put in the new glamour in black, it has silver in it and wow, what an elf she is, just magical.

someone asked about her eyes, they are the deep antique blue under Annabella eyes and are 16mm

Cosette finally got to spend a little time outside on a recent sunny day - she decided to take up meditation with the monks...

 

Yes, she loves her raven dress from "Aunt Grace"! She was having such a "zen" moment, she didn't even know I was there. I think she was actually reflecting on the imminent new arrival!!

 

Here's Cosette modeling her new corset outfit (which is just lovely - thanks, Connie!!). I love the striking contrast between the black hair and the soft colors in her outfit. (And thanks, laurmann, for loving my monks! I just love them, too - they always make me smile! I got them from an artist in Maui last year!)

My Zoey Annabella and her newly arrived cousin Nyssa have taken their first photo shoot together. They wanted complementary wigs and outfits for the big event. They've taken to each other in a big way. Zoey thinks Nyssa is gorgeous and feels too pale in comparison, though she's proud that her ears are still the biggest!



Before Nyssa arrived, Zoey Annabella was primping herself for the big day. I let her choose her own accessories, something I must stop doing!

 

Oooooh look what Penelope got!!! It's a new dress from Connie (Sweet Creations). I just love it and so does she.

 

Thanks everybody. It's been way too long since I posted pics of this cute girl. I just love that dress. Gatodelsol and kadepie do you really like that wig with this dress? I can't decide if I like it. I thought the pink was off a bit but I don't have a wig that looks good with this dress. I need to get her more wigs. And she needs shoes too. The boots look okay but I would rather she had little girl shoes to go with this dress. I just don't have the right color at this time.

Hobbysue Those are just Dollheart MSD boots and fit well with or without socks. I am finding that most MSD shoes or boots I put on her fit fine despite the fact that her feet look like they are going to be too wide for most shoes. I'm sure there are some that don't fit but most do.

 

I see what you mean about the wig....the pink is different than the pink in her dress. I still think it looks adorable, though. Oooohh, you know what wig would look gorgeous with this is the Jpop Custom mohair in Sakurablossom! (I'm considering ordering one...I already have the custom mohair in Silvermoon). And some little white ballet flats would look great with that dress if you wanted more of a little girl look. (And no, I'm not a sales rep for Jpop! Grace just has the most wonderful things for our girls!!)

 

Yea, I'm going to head over to Jpop and check out that wig. Thanks. I do have some of her shoes but the color is wrong but I love them. I was thinking white for the shoes too. I do have a pair of white shoes but the style didn't go well.

 

Annabella would like to model new outfits for you She has lace trimmed bloomers under her dress, but the white on white is hard to see.

With all the anticipation and excitement of the new arrival, I think Cosette has been feeling a bit insecure. Although she has welcomed Liliana, she's not used to sharing the spotlight!


So I spent some quality time with her tonight and made her the center of attention! My lovely Cosette - I do love her so!

 

Zoey Annabella and her two new cousins have dressed for summer. The cousins have opted for the California surfer girl look. Zoey has gone in the opposite direction with a dark wig. (She is such a contrary creature!) All three are playing with their new dollies!

 

Some of you will remember that my 4 year old DGD was pretty insistent about Annabella 'needing' a pink wig once she had seen a picture of another Annabella in a pink wig. I found one I liked, made by Michele Hardy, and ordered it.

My DGD spent the day here with me yesterday, and the girl did not get but a few feet inside the door before she spied that pink wig on Annabella! First it was "Awww" followed by a big 'Wow!" then when she got to it she said, "Oh it is so beautiful!" Here's Annabella, sporting that new wig

A change of subject: Can anyone recommend something besides Mr. Super Clear for taking the shine off Annabella's face? That stuff is hard to come by, and I will probably only use it for her.

lokilady, gatodelsol and laurman2000, thank you for your responses to Zoey Annabella and her two tanned cousins. laurman2000, I didn't make any of the outfits. They were mostly made for other non-bjd dolls. One of them was made for a short-lived doll called the "Lipstik girls." The gray tank top with the pink peace symbol is a Webkinz top made for stuffed animals. The peace symbol "belt" is a bracelet I found at Pier 1. (Though in looking back at the photo, I realize the belt doesn't show.)

The cousin in the peace symbol outfit is a human; the one in the denim and pink leopard spots is an elf.

bobbieoh11, since the elf cousin arrived first, she keeps the name given to her by her birth mother. the human cousin is named Nova.

Sweet Creations, great pink wig on your girl. I can see why your grand-daughter insisted on the pink. It does look like cotton candy, which is just perfect, I think.

By the way, Zoey Annabella's third cousin, a fair-skinned elf has also arrived and is wearing your purple capris and corset outfit. I'll take pics soon.

justcandy, try Testor's Dullcote (that's how they spell it, oddly enough.) Michael's has it near their airplane kits. It's a very small can, maybe a third as tall as the average spray paint can, so it's easy to miss.

I'll take more photos soon... if it ever warms up and stops raining.

 

Okay, Here's a quick pick of Zoey Annabella with her new best friend, Nikita, who is wearing an outfit by Sweet Creations!

 

Cosette's gone Steampunk! (Well, sort of! I wanted her to model her new hat, and she insisted on keeping the high-top sneakers on, too - it's sort of a Steampunk meets Hip Hop meets Country Girl look! It's growing on me! ) Oh, and she's also sporting some new eyes and Kanalong wig in "Antique Truffle" (the pics don't adequately capture the beautiful color of this wig!).

About the shine on the faces, can someone answer a question please?

When you MSC'd Annabella's face, did you remove her eyes and eyelashes??

 

Where did you get that hat????---its wonderful!!

You can spray MSC with the eyelashes still attached .. just cover them with a bit of sticky tape, lightly applied. You will have to remove the eyes.
