I'm looking forward to seeing those, although I do like her barefoot and barelegged, it has a summery feel to it (I'm so ready for summer, *sigh*). I've been lazy about my sig too, one of these days I'll do something about that. All my dolls don't fit in it anymore, I somehow ended up with 24-ish Not that I don't love them, lol. But yeah, my sweet little sisters are definitely high on the list to get their pictures taken. My Cookie has a new dress (first one I made in that size) and I'm dying to take at least one good picture of it!
I think she likes being barefoot, too, lol! And with Spring-time here, there's no better feeling than grass between the toes! Wow! 24-ish? Nice! I think my little family is complete...however, I might think of getting two more...one more girl and a boy. You made a dress? Wow! I wish I could get really good at clothes making. Anyway, yes, you must post pics!
Oh, I'm very much an amateur at dress-making I have a good pattern for Lati Yellow-sized dresses though (see link to Etsy in sig), and I've been trying to upsize it to Yo-size. Yeah, my family has grown a bit, lol. Not that I don't love them, but I do need to slow down a bit in order to all give them the right amount of attention. I just remembered, I took this one of my girls recently: New camera! by WennieBJD, on Flickr
@ Wennie: They are both so adorable! @ Everyone: Guys! I got Alexis' shoes and stockings in! YAY! *Please ignore the random junk in the background. I'll try to get better pics later.
@ Wennie: Thank you so much! They're from Dollmore, where my other two girls are from. Alexis did NOT want to be a baby vampire like I originally planned. She wanted to look like her sisters. So, I was thinking about what color to go with. I had a pair of green eyes in her at that moment so that's the color theme I went with! I ordered a free swatch of green Faux Fur and made her a wig, after not finding one I liked. I recalled seeing green Mary-Jane's in Yo-SD on Dollmore's website, so that enforced the green theme even more. I wanted to go for them but didn't want to pay the shipping. I held off. Then, someone here posted a Dollmore GO so I jumped at the chance! Then, knowing that I could get the shoes now, I commissioned a lady to make her a dress similar to the bigger two--Summery, frilly...slightly lolita-ish--and ended up getting an almost exact replica! Imagine my surprise! And that's how she looks the way she looks now. I'm very happy with her! I think she's complete. Well, minus a green bow. [ Edit ] Found the girls some baby bows while grocery shopping today! It was a set of eight that had their three colors in it. However, one is missing so the cashier have me a discount!
Nice! I lovehow dolls' styles come together kinda organically! It's what happened with some of mine as well. I really like the looks of your girls together, so sweet and light. Makes me all fuzzy inside The whole combo is awesome with the dress, wig and shoes. All so very cute and perfectly matching!
@ Wennie: Thank you, again! I'd post more pictures, but that was the last one I got before my camera broke. [ Edit ] My hubby just got me a new camera!
toraxchan she is precious! I love dolls that have one main colour theme; Rory (my Islanddoll Cookie) is themed red and blue
I love the colour theme you have going, Toraxchan! So adorable! I don't think I've posted of photo of Omar (my tan Kevin), since I changed his eyes and wig, so I'll share (not the best of pics, but...):
@ Polkaroo: Thank you so much! Her original colors--because I wanted her to be a baby vampire--were red and black. She said "NO!" and that, "She wanted to be candy, too!" like her sisters. @ Hervoyel: Thank you! And, Omar is such a little cutie! I love how the tan skin looks!
Genny and her littlefee sister, Marlow, had a fun afternoon playing with their toys. Genny is Quite Demanding by Petrichorandash, on Flickr
@ Wennie: Thank you! And, you should. The girls had so much fun. Wataame: I'm the eldest, so you will listen to me on how to build this sandcastle! Alexis named it the Sandy Candy Castle. @ Petrichor: They are so adorable!
Eliza got a new outfit today....from poonsettia04 on Etsy - included hat, bloomers, top/dress, socks and bracelet. IMG_2768 by julesiam, on Flickr
Just realised she looked a bit wonky-eyed there, so have adjusted LOL.I do love the Island tinies' bodies, they are so well-proportioned.
Thanks everyone for sharing your Island Doll pix. I have been inspired to order one through Mint on Card. Kevin's going to be on layaway for a while, but I'll probably just pay him out the minute he arrives.
Is it ok to post Island doll Leshy's in here?? Just thought I'd check. I have two on their way to me thought I'd see if there was a place for them
Such great images of these Island Dolls. I thought I'd toss a picture of my Island Doll Artemis into the mix! I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered her, but I really do love her! She's a great size and poses well!
Ello! > w< Just wanted to say everyone has such lovely dollies! Totally jealous of some outfits~ Where does everyone buy yosd clothes from? My first BJD was ID Emma which I got her on March 28, 2013!
Hi there, Tehkiwi106! Emma is a cutie, you mus love her so much! I buy YoSD clothes all over the place, really. Places like eBay, Etsy (nubanded is a nice seller, TTYA is great too but more expensive), Nine9Style, Alice's Collections, CCT... Just all over the place
Ahh there is a (quiet) thread for the Island doll Yo-sd's! This is my Sarah-Marie - Island Emily excuse the background... two kiddies who decide that the best thing is to grab everything and kill it...
Hi all! I'm seriously considering buying an Artemis, but need to know what size eyes she needs. I want to make sure I have a color I like when she arrives, just in case I don't like the color she will come with. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for all the info you all have shared up to this point. It has been very helpful with making the desicion to buy her or wait and save up for a FL LittleFee.
Ooh Artemis!! I have such a weakness for her and I see far too few of them Here is a picture of mine. She wears 14mm Mako eyes. Lily or Lilli? by WennieBJD, on Flickr
Thank you! Their posing is excellent, my girls have never disappointed me and they can hold their own against my Littlefees without problem
Thank you for sharing your Artemis Weenie, she's darling. I did order one and she should be here tomorrow with any luck. I'm so excited! What is that you have her sitting on? I'm always looking for stuff like that for my dolly scenes.
Thanks! I hope she comes soon! ] It's a shelving unit I found at a local store that I plan to paint and decorate. Here is what it looks like in full: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wenniebjd/11754955415/
I don't know why these dolls aren't more popular. My DIL received her Artemis doll and she is just gorgeous. I should be receiving my Artemis and Kevin dolls on Tuesday - I ordered them from MOC and they were in stock so no long wait. I have Fairyland dolls (quite a few) and these are actually better quality resin and pose almost as well. I love the definition in their hands. I plan to order more later. The little Leprechaun is calling my name!
My poor little ones didn't make it home tomorrow. Tracking now says they should be here tomorrow - can't wait to actually see them!
My two little ones came home today I am so impressed with these dolls. I think I like them more than my LittleFees - they are just adorable! Kevin is a girl at my house and he makes a beautiful girl. I think I want all of them now LOL. Now I need my DIL to show me how to post pictures so I can spam them - they are just adorable. I am waiting for them to tell me their names.
Sorry for the double post - does anyone have an island doll with the natural beige skin tone and one with the pink? I am trying to decide who to order next and wondered what the other skin tones looked like. Thank you for your help.
Yay, congratulations!! Hope to see pics of them soon I always thought Kevin makes an adorable girl! About the skin tones: my girls are on the whitest side of the spectrum (and yellowed now). Maybe someone else can help?
Thankfully it doesn't show up too badly in pictures. Her sister Cookie is a year older and a lot yellower. She was my first doll and back then I wasn't very careful with her French resin unfortunately But I still love her to bits! Here's a recent pic of her: Deer girl by WennieBJD, on Flickr
Wennie she is just beautiful - I love how you have dressed her and the coloring with the wig is perfect! I just ordered four more of these darlings. Three will live with me and one for my DIL - I think I am addicted! I found two Bobo's (they must be discontinued), an Apollo and a Casandra - all in stock so no long wait
Thank you! Oh my goodness, you're going to have such a lovely family! I'm not sure if I've ever seen Bobo, but both Cassandra and Apollo are adorable! Yay!!
Thanks for sharing your Cookie, Wennie! She is gorgeous~ I need one of her now too. I love my Artemis and I just ordered a Cassandra and she should be here next week. I'm totally hooked on these kiddos. I will post some pics later this weekend. My Artemis is extremely demanding. She wants a big room with lots and lots of friends. We're not sure what they are going to be doing in their new room or how we're going to decorate, but I'm sure they have plenty of ideas. I'll be sure to share when we figure it all out.
These little ones are seriously addictive. For the whole year I had just Cookie I kept thinking I needed to get her a sister, so when I spotted Lily at a doll fair took her home straight away Can't wait to see your girls!
Hi - can anyone tell me if the angell-studio yosd clothes fit the Island dolls? The demensions look pretty similar, but the wait and hips on the Angell-Studio appear to be larger than the Island dolls. Thank you for your help.
The answer is yes My Angell-Studio baby and my IslandDoll little ones routinely share the same clothes and it all fits almost the same. I have some AS clothes too and it fits all my YoSDs equally well (tiny bit on the larger side on the littlefees). Hope that helps!
