I love Iplehouse, but hoo boy, you hit the nail on the head. Honestly, one of the sculptors leaving to create Raccoondoll is making a lot of sense.

Yeah... I gave up on waiting for them to release new outfits. Or eyes. Or even get eyes back in stock. I order from SartoriaJ now. And you might even recognize some of the outfits...

 

@MaleficentMrsofEvil: yeah I should make clear I LOVE their sculpts and have plans to buy new girls this year, but when someone like Sartoriaj is coming out with exciting full sets every few months or so, it's like do I buy a blank doll from iple or get a cool full set?

They definitely had some wonderful creatives leave to start their own stuff and I feel like there's still a vacuum they haven't filled yet.

 

Yeah it's rough, I have like 3 different heads I want from them but it's just sad because I like to think they have potential. Sartoria J's outfits and pretty much everything are great, but for some reason I have more want to use Iplehouse specific sculpts.

 

Mari's home since yesterday (had to bail her out of customs), but only got to take a decent photo today. (She's an unintentional "fullset" because I got that Haute Couture gown years ago with no doll, not knowing that eventually, I'll get Mari with the default faceup anyway.)

Even though I'm really happy with my purchase, she will probably be my last doll from Iplehouse in a while. I have to agree that things have gotten a little stagnant with them, what with RaccoonDoll and SartoriaJ setting up their own lines, and the newer Iple sculpts don't click that much with me (for some reason).

 

I’m screaming! I got a shipping notice already. I didn’t bother to join the wait room list but I ordered a EID man dec 1 to take advantage of the discounted doll choice (because I need those super hero arms).

I was just joking that it would be nice if he showed up before the next meet so Batman could have his body back… and it might actually happen.

 

I just saw my order status is "shipping" Before I get further excited, does this mean they are preparing to ship the production or they are still producing to ship later?

wow. Two months? Congrats. I'm still waiting for one of my guys to come, but he has two heads and with face ups. So I was told it would take a while.

 

I got mine blank, which is probably why he shipped so quickly.

he’s out for delivery now!! But I’ll believe it when I see it. Also I’m at work so it’s not like I can get him.

My dolls have updated to shipping *does the happy doll dance* I'm really exited for them. I have big plans for the YID guy, I am making him into Superboy (Kon-El/Conner Kent version). My incoming Wendy I have only loose plan to mod to be either trans male or gender neutral.

 

My Efreet shipped a few days ago but has been nabbed by HM Customs & Excise. I’ll just have to wait to see how much I’ve got to pay.

 

My BID boy is hereeee!!! I’m really impressed with the quality!! From the photos I’ve seen, including promotions, I was afraid that the resin is transparent. But my tan BID is very opec and matte. Joints are scar from loose! Well, I’m the only one here who didn’t know those but I just had to share my impression. Lol

He is slightly taller than my yo girl, makes them even cuter together. I’ll post some photos soon!

Can't wait to give him a faceup!! I don't find many Ella photos tho... Wonder if someone here can share Ellia with faceup?

This might not be correct thread but does anyone have login problem on Iplehouse website?? I had to make a new account with new email to order my Ellia boy. And I cannot login again! (Glad my doll is already here!) I keep all ID's on my planner and I tried all passwords I use. Nothing works. Obviously my old account does not work either. I never received retrieving emails that were supposed to have been sent several times. This continuing hustle really keeps me from attempting to place another order.

 

Just tested - logged in as usual. Unfortunately my doll's status is the same(((( but can access my account without any issues.

 

I logged in and went to my Iple and no problems. Sorry to hear you are having issues.

 

Superboy is home! (YID Chris with the Addiction face up) As is my SID model Wendy who is a blank slate.
Kon El has eyes, and a temp wig, but all my YID sized pants seem to be in use so no pix right now. So task one will be making him or buying him pants as oops. But I have little other things saved and ready for him, boots a leather jacket with an Super symbol S I need to sew on the back, and some fabric for his costume, which I plan to sew some time in Spring.

Fellows, I am imagining it or there was a forum for CREEA on DoA, right? I've asked about the eye size and someone nice told me what eye/iris size works best for CREEA. And I haven't noted it(((((

Hi all, my Efreet (with the fangs) arrived today after me paying her Customs charges. 5 months she took. Anyway she’s here now and settling in with the other children so I too am out of here for a while; until the next one is due (or overdue) .

I have been having weird issues with their website lately. I'll log in, go to look at my account, and be prompted to log in again, but it always works the second time.

 

That's weird I have no issue with any other website so I know it's not at my fault... Wonder if using Mac/safari comes to an issue? it sometimes does...

 

I'm waiting on a HID girl and the is the first time I've waited more than 2 months on the dot for a doll. In fact I've been lucky to never pass the 2 month mark before now.

I've nearly always ordered around December too!

I'm with you. Their wait times have increased quite a bit - I suspect it's a combination of them possibly struggling to keep face-up artists (scuttlebutt I've heard through the grapevine), and increased sales from their buy a doll, buy an extra head specials.
Still, I love Iplehouse, and I think they're worth the wait.

 

Definitely worth the wait!! I've only ever had good experience with iplehouse. They're such a solid company!

I don’t believe this. I was so busy greeting the arrival of Clara-Louise (Efreet) on Friday that I failed to notice that IH had dispatched a KID (with face-up) that I only ordered at the end of November and didn’t expect for at least another month. Now there’s a panic on to get him some clothes because I have absolutely nothing for a boy KID. It’s the quickest I’ve ever had anything from IH.

 

I ordered a HID lady end of Oct with makeup, I wrote Q&A last week and asked about status, they told me she's at makeup dept & will ship end of Feb/early March.

 

I ordered with no makeup. Always do as I paint my own dolls.

My guess is that due to opening some HID and them being limited there's more orders and I'm in a buff lady queue

 

I have ordered "blank dolls" in the past 2 years, and some ship within 2 months, and others within 5 months.
The hardest thing with this hobby, is the "waiting" to get the doll in your hands.
Hang in there though, you'll be smiling when they arrive

 

I popped them a message to ask about wait times and they were so nice as always.

they said my order had finished first production stage and they hope to ship end of the month. So feeling very hopeful!

Weird that I found out that Iplehouse shipped my order from our post app. The status on the site is still "preparing for delivery" and I received it a week ago Has anyone else experienced this?

 

Can’t comment on your shipping but your Erzulie is gorgeous. I got mine last week except mine is a boy who I’ve called Michael. It has to be one of my favourite scripts.

 

Hi all, waiting for a KID Hannah I ordered in Dec. First time ordering directly from Iplehouse or any BJD company to be honest! So looking forward to receiving her.

 

My HID Elle is finally shipped!!!! So very excited. Can't say I'm fully ready yet though!!!!

I am halfway through creating the wigcap for her wig and I haven't started making her eyes. Luckily she'll need a faceup so while I do that ill do her eyes and wig haha!

 

Zinnia is finally shipped! Will see how much time it will take this time.
No idea what wig and clothes she would wear. Almost lost my enthusiasm about her. Don't like waiting.

 

Trying to gauge how long I should expect to continue to wait for my Zenon from my early December order....he's with faceup soooo April? May? I dunno long time but hopefully not too long....

 

ask them at what stage of production you order is, they are usually good at answering. I've been told at what stage my doll was and that they will ship her closer to the end of February.

 

After waffling for months, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered EID Lawrence and SID Doria, so I am now an official member of the wait club. Gonna wait a month or two and then order HID Aileen.

On packaging. It has changed. They are trying to save on every little bit.
On faceup - it is not as good as on pictures and not as good as on mu old Yur.

 

Congrats! Disappointed to see they no longer use foam inserts, and sorry the faceup is disappointing. Sounds like the pandemic hit them hard.

 

@Dunpeald eeehhh that packaging seems very substandard, I'm glad she arrived in one piece!

 

@Dunpeald How odd, I've had BID's arrived like that in their smaller boxes but never a FID, JID, nYID, SID, EID or HID size arrive like that. They always had foam inserts inside to protect the doll.

I'm waiting for a HID M, I ordered him on Oct 4 on layaway with face ups no extra clothing and I'm still waiting. Iple told me it would be a while yet because of the face ups, when I made my last payment. So it's been several months.

So the face up situation has not improved it seems and I got to admit I'm a little concerned about that. I'm sorry to hear that your Zinna face up wasn't up to the standards of your previous dolls.

 

Well, something is happening. Also, for the records, head magnets and eyelashes fell off as well. Original eyes are so bad, luckily i had three pairs to choose from))

Unfortunately, my third account with iplehouse has vanished again. I think I am done although I wish I could have KID Paige and YID Oscar. Hopefully I bump into them secondhand in the future!

 

@Lady Maeve - awwwww! He looks EXACTLY like my nephew when he was a little younger. Just so cute!

So - apparently Iplehouse doesn't sell hand rings separately anymore? I asked if I could purchase some to add to my Isabel order, and... the answer was no.

Huh. Weird. Scratching my head over that one.

Anyways, I did learn that Isabel is cast and assembled. She's just waiting for her face-up, and she might ship at the end of this month. This means that Iplehouse is now busy enough that a 2- to 3-month turnaround time is not realistic for them anymore.
Withdoll, OTOH, is lightning fast. I got my JWD Olivia with face-up and optional hands and feet in under 2 months.
