Iplehouse Waiting Room v35

I’m still waiting from 13th January. In my last communication with IH they said end of May. Trouble is there are two more BJD’s in the pipeline. Another KID & now a JID. I have to order face-ups because there are not many people in Britain that do them and the only ones I’ve found are eye-wateringly expensive. Oh well at least there’s MB Lilac’s blog to keep me sane. Thanks Martha.

 

I have 3 packages from Korea stuck in Chicago customs. 1 since May 19th!
I talked to my post office, and they said since it's in customs, you just have to wait. That if I get the other 2 packages before the May 19th one, then, there is a problem. Duh!

PS: I'm STILL waiting for my 12/30/2021 order to ship.

UPDATE:
I got my 12/17/2021 order in hand on June 4, 2022, and got my other 2 small packages Jun 7 & June 9th.

 

I relented today and ordered Raffine in peach gold, with an additional Carina head - my current biggest struggle is to make space for new doll boxes, so being able to get two heads for one body was such a good deal I had to go for it!

I hope that everyone here with delayed orders will get those soon!

 

I don't have dolls coming from Iplehouse but I did order some other stuff from them and it's also stuck in customs. I hope you get your packages soon!

 

My February order has apperently shipped!! 1 doll, 2x hands, with no face-up.

Not sure how long it will take to get to canada, I am hoping it will be end of July. I'm leaving for a few weeks to a different city for some school course work. :/

Edit: just looked up the tracking and she's currently in my province, in a near by city!!

 

Ordered 2 dolls from Iple on 5/18 with no make up, 1 of them shipped last night,
and the other tonight!

 

I’m on 102 working days of my first ever order. As I’ve just had a shipping email from Raccoon Doll for a doll with face-up after only 31 working days, I have sent an email to IH pointing out that I have two more orders with them in addition to this doll (KID Paige). I want a proper ETA. I know they are having problems with their face-up artist/s and I know some people have waited longer than I have but I am beginning to loose patience. (Rant over - sorry)

 

Just got the notice in the mail that I can pick her up tomorrow. Unfortunately, I'm going away tomorrow so I will have to get her on Monday D:

I placed a doll choice order for a HID man with custom makeup on April 1st. I decided to just check on the order page and to my surprise, the status said shipping. I checked the tracking number, but there are no updates. I wasn't expecting this order to turn up so soon. I was thinking in the 4-5 month range after reading about the delays. If it does arrive in under 3 months that's probably the fastest I've received any doll.

When IH has everything working smoothly without anything to make delays, they have some of the shortest wait times in the hobby.
Heck sometimes even with delays a long wait from IH feels shorter then some of the other companies I've gotten dolls from over the years. XD

 

6 MONTHS! I ordered on 31/12/2021 and Iplehouse shipped my dolls on the 1st of June 2022! Probably the worst experience I ever had with a company. Plus our customs office is retarded and they kept the dolls for 20 days! They did not understand the SID WOMAN DOLL on the declaration form, they only read the DOLL WIG!! Idiots! They said that on the package is written doll wig and weighs 7 kg! Anyway... I am really torn about Iplehouse, I love their dolls and I want an Iplehouse kid or two and some JIDs of course... you get the point, I like their dolls but I am seriously afraid that it will take 6 months again!!! I will not be ordering face up again, maybe that will cut down the waiting time, plus they failed miserably on Rachel's face up as well. They failed moderably on Vanessa's. Vanessa had her default face up, so I don't know how they managed to not get it right. This was a really emotionally mixed experience for me.

 

Iple makeup artist did bad makeup job on my EID Rania &, they forgot to put upper eye lashes!
I did complain, and I actually got the "makeup price" refunded back to my PayPal.
Then, in May, I ordered 2 dolls with no makeup, and got them in less than 6 weeks!

(I sent Rania head to a makeup artist along with the 2 that I ordered with no makeup)

 

I have area under my bed that my Iplehouse doll boxes fit under.

 

I've ordered a fid Stella vamp grey skin with face-up and I hope they do an excellent job. I have a Eid Doria and she's gorgeous but I got her last year. I think they have been sending the dolls out for the face ups. It sucks you're not happy with them.

 

Yes. it is really bad. It ruined my excitment for the doll.

 

I feel way better about my decision to save up for a unpainted SID Soo and buy in October and just commission an artist for that elusive Soo type D makeup.
I admit I'm very confused though, I thought Iplehouse was discontinuing custom face-ups according to their announcement on their website...

Yeah I'm still not wholly sure how to even order custom makeup which I guess is okay since my doll plans really only include commissioning for face-ups...Easier to communicate and I'm more confident there will be less problems.

Oh cool, what skin tone are you planning on? I'm doing white which I think (?) is not a very popular tone but that's ok.

 

I have so many NS girls that I think I will go for RS.

 

She'll look gorgeous, I'm sure of it! Once you do get her, I'd love to see what you do with her

Sorry if y'all have talked about this already but did Iple stop making the glow skin? Haven't seen it as an option in several months

 

They did unfortunately, I think they had an announcement on it.

I ordered 2 dolls no makeup in May, and they both shipped in 6 weeks.

 

Iplehouse decided to open up orders for the CREAA (CID?) dolls again, and I couldn't resist. Orders start now and end September 4, 2022 (Korea time).

 

It has been my experience (ordered two dolls from them) that Iplehouse is one of the fastest companies, hands down. Unfortunately, they've eliminated a lot of options (hand/feet blushing, certain sculpts, glow resin) to keep up that pace.

 

So I ordered to CREAA-J dolls - the first I paid in full, and the second is on layaway.
The first's status is already "preparing to deliver."
They... they didn't have dolls ready to go, do you think?
I mean - they aren't that fast, are they?

 

Lol! I wish!
Once the order is paid off, the status will change to "preparing to deliver". All that means is that they have to prepare (i.e. manufacture) the doll. So you'll continue to see that same status for as long as it takes (a month, 6 months, whatever) until your doll is ready to ship. Once you see the status change to the green colored "shipping", that's when it's time to get excited!

 

I'm joining here too. I caved and bought Creaa Chloe in grey skin. This will be my first Iplehouse doll to boot, I have no idea what the waiting times look like with them but I'm super excited.

 

Hello! I just ordered a KID Angela in NS

 

Iplehouse is generally insanely fast - though the pandemic and resin shortages extended wait times to six months for a brief period.
Usually, they ship within two to three months AFTER payment in full.

 

I told myself no more dolls, but I saw Iplehouse opened their fantasy dolls and ordered an Erzulie in light brown!

 

Finally bought my SID Soo with a mobility joint and some pierced ears. She's in white resin since I know that's a question people will have.

 

I ordered Vampire Wendy in NS. Did anyone else order a vampire? I’m excited right around Halloween I hope they offer them again. There are a few others I want.

 

Wendy is really cool - if they had her in FID format, I'd order her as well. I ordered vampire Lisa myself

 

I'm going to order a gray blank Wendy vampire, and an addiction Chris in normal skin with both heads either tomorrow or the next day. I technically don't need another Chris, but I need a human one with that face up A.

 

Does anyone know what the wait time is like for iplehouse? I know the vampire event is going on which will affect things, but aside from that I got a pretty simple order. No face-up, and just the mobility joint for different options.

 

I really want my next doll to be a basic Chris hybrid with his type A makeup so my Soo has a companion.

 

I'm going for the Addiction type A vs the basic type A to be clear. Also Vampire Chris is legit my favorite IH mold. I've my original full set (with every option) in grey skin from his first release in 2013/2014, and an SID one in normal skin. Human Chris is lovely too, and I want to get another human version to make into Superboy (the 90s clone of Superman version.)

 

Oh yeah I was more saying that to be like "I saw that sculpt and I am going to jump on the bandwagon soon." It's a great sculpt with so much personality imo

 

Two to three months from full payment to shipping, generally. Closer to two for no face-up or extras. Closer to three for extries. Shipping is from South Korea, and from South Korea to the US via EMS (what I chose) is generally three to five business days. (I live in the Midwest. West coast will be a day or two faster.) YMMV, depending upon what country you reside in.

Note that Iplehouse waits seven days after shipping out a doll before they change the status on your order. So in my case (for HID Aaliyah), I received the doll before my order status changed to Shipped.
Also - Iplehouse doesn't do the whole "Shipping pending" thing - your order status will change to "received" seven days after your order has shipped. Their explanation is that you can get your points faster for future orders that way.
And...I'm guessing it's so that they don't have to bother with tracking. That's just a guess, though.

 

What is the current shipping cost for a nSID to the US these days? I’m waiting for the holiday sale to possibly get a Soo.

 

Like $135ish usd, might be a dollar or two more. I just bought a nSID Soo recently

 

Oh good, I was worried I would be late to send her for her face-up commission, looks like I may not have to worry as much. Still a little worried about sending her in December during holiday season and how long that will take.

Sorry for the triple post, but my SID David came home today.
I got him custom make up for just changing the lipstick of face up B to be green and he's just perfect. Sadly wont be posting photos until his snake eyes get here. I'm making him my PC from a tabletop Cyberpunk game, he's an Exect multi-classing into solo, with bio mods vs cybernetics. Anyway I'll be hovering around here until my vampires show up in a few months.

 

My Creaa J Chloe status just changed to preparing to ship today after ordering on Aug 30th, that was pretty fast.

 

Hmm, my dolls have been with that status for 2.5 months now.... What was the status of your Chloe before? Did you use layaway?

 

Hmmm. It looks like maybe she is not shipping yet. "Payment completed, preparing to deliver" apparently might mean she's just being made. Bit of poor wording I guess and I misunderstood.I did pay in full for her, not sure if that will make any difference.
However, I did a separate order for some hands for her that I had forgotten to pick up a month later and those ARE shipping, kind of odd lol.
