Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, even better.

Were you satisfied with the product? Very. The doll is beautiful and the face up was better than expected, and the body blushing was astoundingly good.

Pros: Gorgeous doll. Wonderful face-up and blushing. Amazing quality fullset (incredible outfit). Fast shipping after I'd paid off the layaway. That I was able to pay with layaway! All round perfection!

I mostly just want to say how good the quality of all the iplehouse clothing I've bought is.

I have practically all the NYID clothing, and all of it is fitted perfectly to the NYID body (be careful you arn't buying the old YID-size). Furthermore, my mom (who is a seamstress) noted that the sewing quality on the clothing is amazing. They have things like invisible zippers, good hemlines, lining, and pretty much the same amount of seams and fittings real (good quality) human clothing has.

both dolls look gorgeous, good resin color and quality. the magnets for the horns was glued in, a very positive surprise. and the jeans is lovely

Okay soooo.... I got my new clothes from Iplehouse and I feel like I'm going to get tarred and feathered for saying this.... but I'm not impressed with the Dark Garnet coat set. I mean it's nice... but I don't think it's worth the money. Don't get me wrong - it's worth some money - but I probably wouldn't feel so bad if I had paid closer to the $120-30 range. It's probably because I'm not a connoisseur of the kind of material the coat is made of, but I just thought it could have had a lot more detail to it. I would have liked to see the pattern that's on the inside edge of the coat more. It doesn't help that this is - in no way (unfortunately) - Sage's style at all. He really looks like Louis from Interview with the Vampire. It's very dark. Even in sunlight. Which a lot of people are into the Renaissance look and I respect that, but Sage is a very happy person by nature. He would probably look much better in a pair of flip flops, khaki shorts, and his shirt hanging open. (or maybe I'm just sick of Texas heat) Also I found the coat to be a pain to get on - worse than usual for coats of this nature. The shirt kept getting bunched up above the elbow joint, and then caught in the joint sometimes. I know I could have taken off his hands and reached up there, but why when the jacket is specifically designed so you don't have to - or so I thought. I spent just as much time getting these three articles of clothing on as I did getting the 10 pleather pieces of the Dark Knight outfit on. The vest isn't a show stopper either. Honestly... it's a vest. Sure it's got some macro rose design on it, but I think it would have been a great opportunity to embellish with a (gold?) decorative thread as I've seen in other works. Besides the fact that the shirt has puffy sleeve cuffs, I really like the look of the shirt. I think I will definitely adapt that design for some of my own work. Overall... it's okay. 4/5

The Dark Knight set on the other hand... hold on a second, let mama cool down.... is just plain sexy. The promo pics do not do this outfit enough justice. Once you see it in person... wow. I was very impressed by the quality of the material and the durability as well. Lets face it. Pleather/vinyl/whatever this shiny sexy material may be is not easy to get on - even for humans. But it went on fairly well. The difficult part actually... was the belts. Not the ones that go around the torso... that was a snap. The thigh belts. Thunder thighs here was built a lot like me in the fact that nothing goes around the circumference of these thighs without a fight. I spent more time just figuring out how Iplehouse even got the belt on his right thigh to cross like that than anything else.... I eventually gave up and assumed it's barely in the belt buckle. Because it is. I also bought the new boots that are shown in the promo pics. They are really nice. They are actually flexible! They aren't hard at all. It makes them really easy to get on and once they are on you can't tell that they are only made of a thin material on the top. Pleasantly surprised. I think my favorite part (everyone's favorite part) is the subtle sex appeal in this outfit. The mesh cut out that ends right above the pubic line leaving you to wonder is hot. It's sexy without being slutty. I'll admit that without the belts.... he kinda looks like a slut..... or a sex slave... The only downside I actually find to this outfit... he cannot sit. At all. At least I haven't found a way yet, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be tough for those hips to bend because the belts lay on them. This outfit was meant to just look good. And it does a damn good job at it. I took him over to my grandmother's house this Sunday to show off his new outfit. This conversation ensued...

On that note, I'm pretty much sold on this outfit. I think it was well worth the price and despite it's limited functionality I think it was still well worth it. And who cares?! It's like the fashion designers of Batman and GI Joe had a baby and asked Adonis to model it. Why would you want him to sit?! Did I mention how good it makes his ass look? 5/5

Dark Garnet set - not really for $172. I think they could have done so much more with it for the price, but I also feel that Iplehouse wouldn't jip me because everything else I bought from them has been great quality for the price. This has been the only let down so I'm thinking ...maybe it's "user error" - I must not know the worth of it?
Dark Knight set - very appropriate for $129. I couldn't be more pleased. And it's a "full outfit" meaning top and bottom (even though it's a one piece) - still.

Dark Garnet set - I thought it was a lot darker in person. But the vest was slightly prettier in person. Also I think I will try wearing the shirt in an "open" manner like Edan does on the promo pics (and everyone else has) to see if it makes a difference. I'm trying not to give up on this (I spent so much >_<)
Dark Knight set - Yes. In fact I had to look at the sales pictures constantly to figure out how to put on all the belts My mother thought I bought Sage an S&M outfit at first....

Dark Garnet set - No unfortunately. I can't say I completely regret buying it. I just regret spending that much money on it. It's hard to explain. I think it's a beautiful piece of work, but I guess I was hoping for something to "wow" me for a price tag of $172. I'm in limbo between selling it (and buying more IH clothes!) or establishing a use for it in some vampiric-esque theme
Dark Knight set - Yes! More than satisfied. It is exactly what I had been looking for. When I saw it, I immediately thought of Mari's Assassin set and thought these would look great together and now I am convinced they will ~^-^~ Not only is it badass looking - it's daaaamn sexy too.

Of course! Iplehouse is a wonderful company and I love their dolls and have been satisfied with almost all of their clothes. I think I will do more reviews if people find it helpful. I have included some pictures and a link to my flickr that shows some more angles of the outfits. Granted, these were just taken with my iPhone in my mom's backyard, so please don't expect much. But I wanted to show, especially on the Dark Garnet set, how the shirt comes together and a little more detail on the coat that you can't see in the promo pictures very well.

Nice posing, beautiful body and skin color, gorgeous sculpt, perfect resin quality
Fast shipping (She arrived at my home about 21 days after I paid for IpleHouse), thick layer of bubble wrap, cool certificate.
*Negatives: Expensive, I got 15$ off, although that, it's still high. But I think it's completely worth for what IH did.
I don't like the headcap, it's really easy to come out and it's quite hard to changed her flat feet to high-heel feet (it's too small)

Aria, yes. The wig, yes. The clothes? Not so much.

Yes, Aria is so beautiful. Even prettier than her pictures. I just adore her X3

YES!! But I wasn't satisfied with her wig or the clothes. And...you know, Iple ain't cheap!

Aria positives:
- The reason I got her was because I like dolls who are compatible with different styles, as in, they are able to wear different wigs, clothes, etc. Aria really pulls off different looks!
- I cannot stress this enough and people are probably fed up with me now but I really think her sculpt is beautiful
- Her detail is amazing

Aria negatives:
- This is probably the SID woman body and not the doll itself, but I made her sit once, like truly ONCE so I could pop on her wig. Now if she doesn't stand up properly, she bends over in a second >_>

Wig positives:
- Very great quality, the fibre was smooth and silky

Negatives:
- It was too big for her head, it kept slipping off her way too easily
- It was also quite heavy

Swan dress positives:
- Cute dress
- Fitted the SID body well

Negatives:
- The fabric looks a bit cheap >_>
- The skirt has loose threads which keep popping off

* Would you buy more from this company?

Yes, I would. I would definitely buy their dolls. I have bought some clothes and wigs before previously and it really depends. Some clothes are excellent quality, some unfortunately are not that great. Same goes for Iple wigs.

I've gotten Dexter, Mari, Eric, Zera & Gentle Freezia from IH. I also got some outfits, shoes & wigs.

First was Dexter in 2011. Last was Zera in Dec 2014.

Yes. My most pricey outfit is the EID suit - IH commissioned it from Freedom Teller & it was TOTALLY worth the rather hefty price tag. I also have Joseon era shoes for EID & SID - love them.

Love the realism of the doll sculpts - but the posing leaves something to be desired. Plus as others have mentioned the EID elastic is not strong enough. The wigs are decent - I prefer Monique Gold but I did get three perfect wigs for my boys

Oh yeah - I have a very long IH wishlist. They have given excellent customer service!

Yes! I even got him on sale, haha. He does have noticeable seam lines but I don't know if that is partially because of his unique resin color. I haven't ordered from IH before so I don't know if seam lines are common on all resin colors.

Yep.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes, he is so pretty the resin color is gorgeous and unique, the body feels very solid and posable. He is strung very well and the engineering & little details are great, especially the way the S-hook fits into his head and into the groove on his neck, which make it very easy to remove the head. The mobility joint and the grooves in his thigh socket are also cool features to improve posing.

Positives: Sturdy, overall high-quality feel; realistic and detailed face sculpt; thoughtful engineering, innovative joints & tight stringing; wonderful resin color.
Negatives: Obvious seam lines; complex joint system makes him intimidating to restring .
* Would you buy more from this company?
Yes! Not too many of their face sculpts fit my style, but they just really seem to know what they're doing in terms of quality, reasonably priced, and their fairly wide array of resin colors is nice.

My Aurora is tan skin and there is a tiny spot of discoloration at the side of her head but it's easily covered by the wig, so it doesn't really bother me.
As for Felix and Leonard, no complains at all! They were perfect

I was a bit disappointed at the body type but it could be my personal preference.
Also his seams were really obvious.
Update:no not satisfied due to the fact the chest piece smack dab in the middle has a dark spot not related to clothing. I think its inside the doll? Not sure what it is and it will not clean off with magic eraser

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional) Positive: His face is gorgeous and he comes with lashes already applied and the normal real skin is unique. He stood right out of the box like a boss and they really pay attention to vein detail.

Negative:his body is clunky and before and after restringing he was not very pose able. His head cap magnet was weak as well and lining up his joints and ankles were quite annoying he was just not that flexible. The blemish on his chest is also upsetting since I paid top dollar for this doll and he is far from great quality.

Possibly but not very likely as beautiful as they are I am not a fan of the body type they offer.

It did not come with his clothing or accessories as advertised I contacted iplehouse through support by email and q&a forum but I have not gotten 1 reply I Opened a case with them recently hoping that would get their attention so I can figure out whats going on. Havent got contact in four days.

Absolutely not, with my first doll I was iffy but I still like him so I but decided to give them a shot again but after this second experience I will not order from them again.

yes! but over time, I've realised just how crappy the posing is, but I love that iplehouse goes for more realistic body types. the women that they sculpt aren't just skinny girls with very large breasts, and the men they sculpt aren't all just long legged buff guys. they are realistic, almost lifelike.

now, I feel like my main focus will be on fairyland dolls. they have much better posing. but that may change because Iplehouse was my very first company, and I have not given up on their molds.

For the most part, I was happy with all my items (especially the doll). I was only disappointed with the nYID/SID white flow shirt I'd ordered. It was really hard to put on as the stitching was, I'm not sure how to put it, "inflexible"? It felt kind of cheap. If I could order again, I would have not ordered that shirt

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
She was very expensive but Stella is the most stunning doll I have ever seen and definitely worth it.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Oftentimes the promotional photos make things look better than they really are, but not in this case because she looks even better in real life. Her faceup is absolutely stunning and so detailed.

* Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes I'm very happy with everything I ordered as everything is very high quality and only took a month from my order date to be made and shipped.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
SID Stella: Perfect except I wish the seams weren't visible, and she were a little easier to pose. I also think the black inside the mouth looks a little strange up close, but not sure what to do about that to improve it.
Black lace corset set: The panties in the set are very tight and difficult to pull over the thighs, but looks better quality in real life than in the promo photos.
Cashmere coat set: Super soft cashmere and beautiful, classic design. Fits SID woman very well. Would like if it came with either 2 black fur cuffs or a black fur muff to match the collar.
Signorina set: My current favourite set. Lots of accessories that can be mixed and matched with other outfits, nice details and beautiful colour. The little ties and lace-up corset are very fiddly though and might be difficult for people with poor eyesight or chubby fingers.
Black velvet set: Very classy dress and fits SID woman perfectly. Wish the long gloves were velvet too.
White wrinkle dress: Good simple dress but too short to sit in without flashing. The bandeau part is also a bit awkward on the bust and I can't imagine it on glamour size but.

Yes! I plan on buying more clothes because they are beautiful and great quality. I probably won't buy another doll because they are so pricey though.

Absolutely! Amazing detail, beautiful resin quality and colours (Peach Gold skin and Grey skin)

01. Miho looked even better. I ordered faceup Type B and it looks stunning. The wig was beautiful. Made very well and so silky.
02. Yur was ordered blank and in grey skin so she looked quite different to sales photos.

Beyond words. Both my Iplehouse girls are amazing.

1) Very much so! I have to say, Iple’s faceup artist did a superb job. I was surprised that the resin smells wonderful as I have a doll and a head from another company that smells a bit strong even up to today (after a couple of years!). For Iple, I just like the smell for some reason. Also, he poses well without clothes — more on that below.

With the company clothes, I need to unbutton the pants so he could sit. The shirt that comes with the set is a bit bigger than I expected. The wig is soft and silky, and styled quite nicely, though the wig cap can peek a bit if you don’t muss his hair right.

2) Same comment about unbuttoning the pants, and the shoes are just enough to fit without socks. If you’re like me and prefer to put socks on them to protect their toes, then that’s something to consider. The quality of the clothes are good though. There are no loose threads or falling buttons. It’s just the size.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
1) Better! Well, yes he does look like the pictures, but he seems to change expressions when viewed from different angles.

* Were you satisfied with the product?
1) 11/10 satisfied with the doll. I could forgive the quirks of the clothes as they are still of high quality.

2) This set is just tighter than I hoped, but the quality is still very good with regards to both the clothes and the shoes.

A major positive would be that they shipped after only a month! I was so happy as I had requested body blushing and asked a bunch of questions in their Q&A but still got him much earlier than I expected. Considering that, the quality of the doll is just amazing.

Yes, definitely. I hope they make more clothes for their FID line as well. Maybe bigger shoes? Anyway I got this guy to sit by my desk as my 70cms stay posed inside our collection room so...I definitely need more clothes.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures? For the most part, yes. The make up I chose looked a bit different than I expected, but could just be the skin tone I chose. The wigs looked different than in the photos, but it was probably due to styling. They still look great though!

Pro: Absolutely gorgeous. Well sculpted. Quick turn around time! Got mine in just a little over a month.
Cons: So expensive! Posing a bit awkward, but could be due to the size of the doll?

Pro: He is gorgeously sculpted with a lot of details like sculpted veins. His body poses well and I like the look of the less buff model body compared to the FID muscle type. His joints look good in all positions and I like how the lock.
Con: He does have noticeable seem lines. His legs are a little wobbly but it can probably be fixed with some sueding.

I can't speak to the doll clothing (it's for a friend), but the doll + the hands are exquisite. Stood right out of the box, wonderful eyes included, and the faceup was perfect. Well packed, as per usual.

The faceup actually looked better, I think.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
Very satisfied. This is my fourth Iplehouse doll, second bought directly from the company, and I'll keep coming back again and again.
* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
The biggest positive was actually with the hands, funnily enough. They're for a NS Raffine I bought second hand, produced, I believe, a couple years ago. I've kept her well and I'd bet her last owner did too based on how lovely she was when I first got her, but I honestly didn't expect the hands to match--there was a long time between resin matches, and my dolls do sometimes sit in a sunny room. But nope--almost a perfect match. Speaks to both the resin quality and their quality control, I think. It's what I've come to associate with Iplehouse. This is reflected in the faceup too: I got a darker skin color than the doll they'd showcased it on, and they matched the colors perfectly. It's really fantastic.

As per usual, I'm struggling a bit with the legs of my new dude--he's a bit loosely strung for my taste. I'm not too fussed about it because I'm a terrible photographer/poser ANYWAY, but it is a negative with Iplehouse in general.

Absolutely! It's always a struggle to limit myself to one at a time.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional) The clothing is beautiful and intricate, and the doll is absolutely gorgeous. But the stringing for the bracelets is so thin, I was terrified I would break them the first time I put them on.
Also, I've seen other BJDs that have hands/feet attached by magnets. With Iplehouse, you have to restring everything to swap hands or feet out. As a newbie to BJDs, I'm not looking forward to disassembling this moderately expensive doll. But all in all, I couldn't ask for a better first BJD. She was very carefully packed, and shipping from South Korea was much faster than I expected (less than a week, iirc). And the resin is so beautiful - I keep touching her hands because they're so pretty.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional) I love Iplehouse's sculpts, and (as you can see above) I thought their FID clothing was excellent quality. So imagine my disappointment upon receiving this order. There are no fasteners in the back of the blouse. You have to lace a small ribbon through the holes in the lace, and the shirt fits poorly on my doll. The shorts are meh. There's a simple one-button snap closure in the back. For $67, you'd think they could have put in a miniature zipper, some belt loops, or even some pockets. The construction is very simple and plain, which is fine - but not $67 plus shipping fine.
The necklace is really nice, though.
The EID slim fit jeans were also meh. The material didn't even look like denim. No zipper in the front - just a snap-button closure, so the fly gapes open when the doll is sitting.
Then there's the matter of shipping. It appears that Iplehouse charges shipping based upon the cost of your order - not the actual cost to ship. My entire order fit into a small box and weighed less than a pound (2.2 kg), but I paid almost $90 USD for shipping. And it wasn't DHL Express or other priority shipping service, either. It took almost two weeks from the shipping date to my receipt in the US.
* Would you buy more from this company? Dolls - yes.
FID clothing - also yes.
Shoes - definitely.
SD or 1/3-scale clothing? Absolutely not. I received much better quality clothing from Taobao (via BJDBhiner) for a fraction of the cost.

EDIT: Doing a massive edit because y'all. I did not KNOW. I did not realize that Iplehouse prices for big boy clothes are hardcore reasonable.
Big boy clothes are expensive AF. WHOA momma.
While I'm still not thrilled with the shirt above, the prices are absolutely reasonable, now that I've done more shopping for big boy clothes. In fact, I have more big boy clothes from Iplehouse on order, cuz they are more affordable than most.
