Iplehouse PID Discussion V. 01

Some Tiny Delf clothes fit (though sleeves and pant legs are obviously too short), as well as their shoes, so my PID and my TDF share many items. As for wigs, my PID has worn an actual PID wig from Iple, an Iple 6-7 wig, and Leeke 6-6.5 wigs. The non-PID wigs technically fit OK, but the styles could be overwhelming to her little face. I can dig through pictures tomorrow to show you if you want.

 

Most Middie Blythe dresses will fit Pixxies!

 

I'm jumping in to say that I completely adore your Blooming, Vadafade. She has the cutest dreamy facial expression! Did she come with that wig, or did you purchase it separately? If separately, what company did it come from, if you don't mind me asking? And I had no idea that they fit Blythe Middie outfits. That's really convenient, since there's such a wide range of Middie sundries on Etsy!

I'm poking around DoA to look at various Tiny Dolls this afternoon, and I'm totally smitten by these cuties. They have such unique faces that really stand out in a sea of BJD sculpts. Valee-anne, I can't get enough of your dolls! I especially love the doll in the black dress who's standing. She has wonderful eyebrows! She looks very concentrated and frustrated in that picture. I don't think I've ever seen a doll with a facial expression quite like that, and she is so refreshing.

 

Hi! It's an Iplehouse wig that I bought at the same time I bought my Blooming -- it was one of the "suggested" PID wigs in stock last fall, but it sold out quickly.

 

I have been away for a while and totally missed this... Such a bummer... Want a pixxie sooo bad...

 

Woot! My girl is on her way, i assume this means I will be seeing more pics as everyone's girls start to come in.

I have managed to re-bond with my Blooming recently, after giving her a new faceup!

She is wearing a Pukifee outfit and Tiny Delf boots. I really want proper pants/leggings for her since the PKF ones are too short. I asked Iple in the support forum if they'd be releasing more PID clothing soon, and they said no

Ooooo what a sweetie! I need to pay my next pixxie off stat!! If only I didn't have so many moving costs right now!

 

And the eyes and wig I ordered for Pylia finally arrived so she's now looking like I imagined:



She's now got 'oscar doll eyes' - they have crystals and such in them and catch the light in an -amazing- way. And her wig is a Monique "Ginger" in purple. Such a gorgeous little doll!

 

I should have not looked at this thread because my little one wants some Oscar eyes too. These little one's will be the death of me yet

 

They're really gorgeous - photos cannot do them justice! First saw them in my Fairyland LTF Mio and RP Toki; FL is using them as premium eyes in their Alice-In-Wonderland fullsets. Went looking for some more to buy, and found their website, http://oscardoll.net/ - so many amazing eyes. I got Pylia's set from the Doll Peddlar - they seem to be the best (only?) english-speaking place to have them; you can order direct but it looked confusing so I took the easy way out.

All I need to do now is make some more outfits. The black dress from Iplehouse is cute, but she wants some colour. :P Oh, and some wings. *sigh*

 

I saw in the News section that Doll Peddlar has them so I went to the website and ordered a pair for my Kiba (Ryu-Ah) and hopefully she will be happy once they come in. Of course I need to get her some shoes as well.

 

ktk8, I love your little Pylia. Those oscar eyes are very interesting. I might have to look into them. Thanks for posting the link to their website. I actually am kicking myself that I didn't find out about IP selling Pylia and Ariel again until it was too late.

Does anyone know how often IP sell the Pixxie Dolls? I didn't realise they didn't have them for sale all the time like their other lines.

 

I really shouldn't look at pics of Pylia ... because I really don't need another doll. XD

@Ochan - thanks for your response. I guess it means that gives me a little more time to save up the money and have it ready for when they do decide to open sales again on that line. I do have an account with them but for some reason, I have never received any emails. I always wondered if they sent out emails before a release like a few other companies I have accounts with.

Your Kelpie looks gorgeous. I adore that resin colour. Ryu-Ah is such a pretty little sculpt.

@khell - I know how you feel but I justify it by saying they are so small, they barely take up a lot of room!

 

If I remember well, the very first release of Pylia and Ariel was in January, just after Christmas, not a good time ! I don't know what they'll do this year, there's no clue in the forum.
I'll post here, when I'll get the email.

my little pixxie arrived today - I adore her! I got a custom faceup, and was expecting the lips to be pink... but nevermind, she's a cutie. Their tiny outfits may seem a bit on the expensive side, but so worth it...


When I compare her to my other Dorothy, her eyes look smaller and sleepier somehow.

I love those new outfits, and Rose is cute! My PID would be jealous if I got another so I will spoil her with a new outfit and some heel feet! I wonder how much of a difference the new PG color is? My PID has the old PG color which has some translucent to it.

 

What size wig does Pylia wear? I wanna get one but I'm unsure.

 

Mine wears a size 4 monique "ginger" (most of the time). I do have a silicon cap on her too; like all really small heads, wigs are a challenge to keep in place.

 

I love the new outfits, especially Romantic Stripe and Funky Plaid. I may give my Blooming a complete re-styling into a little punk girl. I need to find a good wig.

Some people like the new PG just fine, of course, but I miss the translucence of the old one. Though, oddly enough, the new RS is completely opaque too, and I like it a lot. I have both old and new PG, and old and new RS, as well as NS, if you need more photos.

I got my new heel feet and outfit for my Kiba and you were right the new PG is very pink, that's okay at least when I paint them I can maybe blush them some to lessen it.

They made Pylia with gray skin as an option when I asked if they were ever going to sell her that way again.

 

I -finally- got my three set up for a photo.



Pylia, Ariel and Rose. All in NS.

Pylia is wearing a T20 (Tiny Delf 20) dress and stockings from Luts - it fits remarkably well! It came with a bonnet that is miles too big for Pylia, though it would fit Rose or one of the other large head PIDs fine. Iplehouse boots though. Ariel is wearing a pukifee size dress. It also fits ok except for being rather short. Rose is wearing Iplehouse from head to toe. (Pylia and Ariel are both wearing Monique size 4 wigs. 'Ginger' on Pylia and 'Tori' on Ariel.)

 

Wow, no one has been on this thread since November! Iplehouse are opening up sales for the Pixxies again, if anyone is interested.

 

I'm sorely tempted to get one of the smaller head girls, especially seeing how they can wear Tiny Delf 20 clothing. (Thanks for that, @ktk8 !) Iple's own clothing is nice, except for the warnings on most outfits that the dark colors can stain the doll. Even the white dress can be stained by the red cape. Why don't they make more clothes in colors that don't pose a problem?

 

I'm getting another this order period! Yay! If you are on the fence, these are amazing little dolls. The joints are tiny and so well done. Don't forget to order high heels. My Twinky is a super solid stander in her high heels, it is unbelievable! She sands better in her high heels than her flat feet!

 

Thanks for the encouragement, @Mimi*Fee. I'm getting closer and closer to ordering. I think it will be Pylia, with a bunch of resin shoes to paint. (I painted my RealPuki resin shoes and they came out great.) One reason I was hesitating to hit the buy button is the photos on her sales thread. You can see the resin hooks in her wrists in nearly every photo. Looking at owner pics on this thread I don't see the hooks. Pylia reminds me of KID Lisa, so I will probably pair them together in some way.

 

Hi everyone! Sorry to just but in like this but I have a couple questions. I'm thinking of getting my mom a PID Ariel for her birthday and Christmas in December, or whenever Iple reopens them for sale around then. The smallest doll I own is a BID and don't have any experience with under 20cm dolls.
Where do you find clothes for these guys outside of Iplehouse? And what size wig fits best? Also where do you even find eyes that tiny? Thank you so much!! Also any photos of Ariel would be lovely

 

@artisticadelle My Blooming shares some clothing with my Tiny Delf, if that helps. Blooming obviously has longer limbs, but the torso measurements are similar.

 

You can find clothing for tinies under 20cm on Etsy depending on the style you like. PIDs are a bit more challenging because of their more mature proportions but you could start with searching for Pukifee and Secretdoll listings. Also, some Bratz/Only Hearts/cheap toy store doll items can fit too but it's hit or miss. As for wigs, try Jpop -- they tend to be less poofy at the smallest sizes. Dreaming Tree Studio on Etsy does eyes as small as 3mm.

 

Any ideas when IP will open PID preorder again? I missed the last one.

 

No. I usually watch for it, and I think it comes about once a year. I think if you ask them, though, they might open it up. I've seen them do it before.

Well I just got one and she should be arriving any day now! I hope she can wear Pico Nemo stuff because that's all I have, LOL. I'm excited to see her and sad to see this doll isn't more popular?

Well, I have my Pixie, I gave her a faceup (not great but at least something,LOL) She's a gnomish Wizard. She has no wig yet, but I did do some posing pictures. The one thing to note, is that her hands and feet can't move much because the hooks in them are too long and hit the walls of the forearm and lower leg. Other than that, she's pretty amazing!



She hasn't got a proper wig or clothes. Here she is wearing a Qzanny Elfdoll robe and an over-size wig, I think from my Chicline girl.

She is leaning a bit backwards, as can be seen with the pop-out of the thighs which still look good IMO and she holds her arms out well

This rocking chair is actually leaning back, yet she can still balance on it's edge, pretty good I'd say!

All in all, I really like this doll a lot. Although I love my Elfdoll tinies, this doll can do so much more, so easily and is only a little larger. Banji is also extremely difficult to pose, but this doll poses much like the big girls, she even has the Iplehouse hook things in her thighs to hold up her legs. I just wish they managed the mobility joint, that would have been awesome. I need to get her

 

Stuck way back on the 10th page, and yet I was the last one to post back in ... October? Really? Nobody has Pixies? Well, I really love my Iplehouse PIDs. I did get both of them from their auctions and they do suffer from my faceups, but even so, they're so adorable, and I find them to be amazing posers! For a doll this small, nothing short of a miracle! Why they aren't more popular, I will never understand!
