But first must come one more girl... hummm which means Fred will be the head of quite a harem... Got 3 girls and a head... here on incoming, LOL. Then Tania, then finally another boy or two, this should take the rest of the year (2010, that is) LOL But hey, it's a fun plan

Well, it may not happen, LOL, but I've got so much coming in at the moment (basically will have two dolls when my body and Lishe come home) that I can't possibly complain eh? Still, I really need Tania. I think she will be Fred's sister. (sigh) JID girls are so beautiful!

 

Agreed! I wouldn't know where to put more than a few dolls. As it is, I still need to find some way to fit Ariin with Kale and Asalie. Looks like I'll be finishing up that couch I made out of boxes after all... xD Unless I manage to find some seating for them that will fit on my nightstand when I go shopping tomorrow. I don't even know where I'm going to put the Mars I'm going to order.

And I've been trying to sew all day, but I kept getting interrupted by one thing or another. And now that I can finally sit down and do it without any interruptions, I realize that its after 10pm.

 

I envy your plans Ingie! I'm totally torn on who I want to add next. Especially because I have firmly decided this will be the last doll I'm buying!

I feel your sewing dilemma Quirked! I kept thinking I would make Cal a new shirt after I finished my extra credit homework... But it's after 10 and I'm still working on my homework! The Wedding Singer is distracting me...

 

irezumifan, OMG, "Last doll I'm buying"? LOL, I'm 46 years old, and have been collecting dolls since I was 5 (and got my first Velvet "growing hair doll" LOL. True, back then, I couldn't do much but beg mom for a doll, (and didn't get any either after Velvet!) But in my teens I started bying some Barbies because they were within my reach... then as an adult, OMG, I was working, mind you, and got some EXPENSIVE Porcelain dolls, which I still have in my living room in big glass cases, LOL from Ikea! I LOVE them, they're so realistic! But you can't play with them... them I started getting into My Twinn dolls. What's cool about these dolls is there are more than 40 different molds and 6 skin tones! They can represent up to a 10-12 year old, which is at the border of my aesthetic sensibilities (I do like teens and adults best) then I found Obitsus and got a big girl. Then found DoA and got hooked on BJD's (oh, forgot a 15 year love affair where I made my own porcelain dolls) It just keeps going and going, and I have no illusions that there will ever be a "last doll" LOL

Having said that, I would like to sell off some of my collection to make room. But it's so hard to part with anyone The My Twinn dolls take up the most room... but I just can't find the heart to sell any of them.... oh well... LOL

I wish I could just keep adding to the collection Ingie but as a grad student this is a pretty difficult hobby to pursue! Well, it's pretty difficult for anyone but it seems worse as a student maybe? I'll probably be convinced to start adding again after I graduate... And get a job!

Is your girl a small bust? If so, I think just about anything should fit. IF it has stretch, it should fit. The Ms. Noble Blue set does fit the large bust, but it's slightly tight as I understand I think there is good info on the JID clothing thread though I was just at another party at Ms. Cholong's showroom, which is almost all Dollheart, such beautiful stuff! But I suspect those shoes won't fit right? They look big/wide? Gotta go look it up

That is the ONLY thing that can save ya, total lack of money! LOL. In which case I can believe it And the nice thing about not having too many dolls, is you can really dote on the one doll totally!. It's the only reason I only have one at the moment and my other one and body haven't been sent from Denver yet I can't raise bail until the end of the month

 

OMG! At the end of the month I will be ordering my first doll!! But I'm so darn scared. She will be a custom face-up "I" and I do not know if I will like the face-up or if the wig I want to get for her will fit her personality or if I will love her the way I should or if I'm making a mistake or... anyway IDK She will look like a normal skinned sword dance "I" but I am not sure if I will like that on a normal skinned doll. IDK if I really like it on the real skin! I Don't Know I don't know I don't know!!! To much at one time My head is swirly. I guess I will have to see but that is a lot of money for "just having to see" Ya know? Oh I'm a bit swamped right now...

Well, for the large bust version, Asatee has posted that the Artless outfit fits as well. I can personally tell you that the bustier on the Dark Gem outfit will not fully close in the back, but it works fine if you're going to have something over it. The top on the Silver and Blue outfit also won't close over the bust, and since that closes in the front, there's no workaround unless you're willing to do some cutting and sewing. The skirt and corset look cute, though.

 

Does anyone know if DOC outfits will fit or not for our boys and girls? O_O

 

or what random american toy company clothes/wigs will fit them as well?

 

Not too many I'm sure. I can definitely say that Tonner 16" doll clothes will probably not fit, even if it's stretchy. Those things barely fit on some of the smaller minifees so.... Check out the JID clothing thread

 

Hey guys, I have a measurement question for those with small busted girls. I'm commissioning an outfit but since it's for someone else and I don't have a tape measure/any way to measure this stuff myself, I thought someone could fill in the blanks for me. The person doing the outfit just wants to make sure the company-posted measurements aren't off so the outfit fits well.

Back across shoulders (from where the armhole would be across back to the opposite armhole)
Circumference of upper arm (around the joint so that the sleeve won't be too tight)
Arm (from shoulder seam to mid hand)
Circumference of hand (including thumb)
Circumference of bust (over nipples)
Circumference of hips (over butt at fullest part)
From the top of shoulder (where the shoulder seam would be) down the front over the bust to the waist

Leg (from the waist to the floor)

Asatee, I wanted to say that your spooky pictures of Marie were stunning. Sorry that I've abandoned this thread, I just couldn't keep up and only read it sometimes when there are less than 20 new posts. Hope I can get some things sewn for my Leia and come back. She's in what I think is a Teen Trends (Mattel) outfit right now which fits because it's stretchy but doesn't suit her at all.

Right right. I think I'm just scared. This will be my first doll and I have only actually been around BJDs once (at Tekko) and I'm just like IDK how to describe it. My friend (who is on DOA too) and I are going to order our dolls at the same time (hers is a AOD Rao) so now I have to get her (she is making me lol). I'm excited but scared
