IngieBee I haven't posted in the JID clothing thread yet, I will when I get home again on friday. Aside from the wigs, eyes and the pair of shoes on the picture I got two other pair of shoes.

Thank you for calling the skirt nice, I personally think it's everything but nice... my mother had to convince me not to throw it away. The top I don't mind, it laces up in the back and it has handbound eyelets in a matching shade of brown.

So, I asked Iplehouse for an estimate as to when my Lily would ship, and they told me that they're having delays in production. They'll be trying to get her out by the end of the month.

I know they're trying their best but.. HOW WILL I SURVIVE. OAO;; XD

Also, I wanted to alert all the JID boy owners out here that I'll be doing some SD10 and SD13 clothes testing in the next two weeks and I'll be sure to let you all know if I find anything that fits our manly boys. My peeps at Kerbey Lane Doll Shop and a friend are planning on bringing some clothing to try out on my Jerome so hopefully I'll be able to find a thing or two that fits well or needs minimal altering...

Thank you~~~ It's not easy to find outfits for these babies... Including Kirika, who's big-breasted and can't fit into regular MSD outfits! My SOOM and DOT babies are 64-65 cm and most outfits are either for 60-62 or 70-72 cm dolls! I'm trying hard to make my own outfits... My sewing skill is so challenged!

 

I feel you on the sewing skills thing... The pants I tried to make for Caliban were a disaster, they slide down as soon as he sits!

Vintage, I do find it harder to do a faceup light and natural... I always go dark (and that's when trying to be light and natural, LOL) I have to redo the head I currently have plus the new ones I'm getting at the end of the month...and hope I can manage a similar beautiful look, gotta practice though! LOL

Good question, jayn! I just bought some Kemper thick 24mm lashes and if they work on my MNF's I'm sure they'd work on JID's but untill I get the dolls... and try them out, I won't know. I just hope they're not too long. I also got some thinner type for my Ryan in red, so hopefully they'll look good on a boy (read natural) but now I'm angry with myself because I think these would have been better for Ryan. Well, I need eyes, so next time I'll get those :P

It's easier for me to find seamstresses here in my country to make pants and clothes for these babies. There are male seamstresses who are very good in sewing men's outfits... ^^ I tried once, and even though the man (and his friends) laughed out loud when they saw my tiny patterns, they did make an awesome dolly pants for me! And it wasn't expensive either! With the cloth's price excluded, I only paid $5 for the pants! XD

 

My jaw just dropped at that price fransyung! It'd be impossible to get something like that here for that kind of price... You should set up some kind of intermediary business deal for those of us far far away from affordable doll clothes!

 

I ordered the NC Trapeze Tatiana fullset, a pair of leggings, the green polkadot dress and the gorgeous Pink Rose dress. I imagine all the extras are what's adding all the extra time.

Amen! LOL, I think that's what the seamstress person I got some pants incoming from is doing. I don't think she sews them, but is the business person between I can't wait till they come!!! I'm so excited!

Hey I have a question, what size eyes and wig do the JID boys wear?

 

It says on the site That Joshua comes with 12mm, jerome 12mm, Vito 12mm, and ryan 12mm. they all wear 7-8 sized wigs from what i can tell.

 

Yes I did, and yes I will! I think they're being sent snail mail, up to 24 days... so yah, just in under the wire for the Santa thing. Hopefully they'll fit nicely so my santa thing won't be ruined (I'm making stuff too, but that's not professional)

Well, I'm getting a fancy pair of jeans from NaruSasu, in the market place, and they were $35.20 I think, including shipping... They're special order special design, I have to look it up. Should be awesome though! Regular jeans are $24 I think if I remember correctly, but they're very nice and realistic I hope. It may be a family thing they have going

They wear size 7-8. Their heads are 7.2" around, and I just got a skin wig (leather) which is 7.5-8 basically, and it fits, but I'm taking it in just a little tiny bit so it fits tighter. It's PERFECT in color, and the long crazy hair actually fits him great (I think I'll still style it, but right now, the crazy 'fro looks so cool! Ugh, so cute!

Oh, and I tried size 10mm eyes in Ryan, but you could see gaps at the outside edges, just not wide enough. However there are eyes you can get with smaller irises. The kemper glass flatback ovals always seemed to me to have smaller irises in general I think I want to get some for my dolls... but I'm a little short on cash at the moment :P

Also, I wanted to add that since I disliked the cream white skintone, I requested my Tatiana be made in normal skin. To my surprise, they said they would! I'll have to wait till I get her to see if they really did, but I'm hopeful. I guess since they haven't managed to sell out of the Trapeze sets for so long they're willing to bend the rules a bit to get them sold.

I still really don't understand why they're still available, I think the Trapeze sets are gorgeous. D: But I guess I'm glad since it allowed me to get one.

I totally agree with you, strawberryblossom! I love those outfits! I didn't know you could switch to NS, Wow, in that case, my Tania, if she is still available, might be a NC Tania! I'd love the outfit and the prop! Gosh I'm excited, but that excitement (for my future Tania) is going to fade and become anxiety and irritation at how long it takes soon, LOL. Oh well :P

My ryan will be a basic whiteskin with type A makeup.. His name is armand, like the anne rice vampire.. ^-^;; heh, i swore to myself id never make a vampire doll, but type A looks too perfect, and in an old rp of mine Armand was the soulmate to Wendy..

Wendy is a reincarnation of the spirit of love and dedication from ancient times, so Psyche/hathor/parvati's spirit and shes a friendly but slightly brooding sarcastic girl. Think if Marla singer was a charity loving creationist. XD

Hey, Fred's wig came today, it's pretty nice. Not like Tinybear's but was far less than half the cost, and since I plan on trimming it and such, I figured I better practice on something less expensive. It's still a nice wig, just not sure how it'll hold up when trimmed shorter... And, frankly, I kinda like him with this wild hair, check it out!

I've been following this thread for a while, but just now bought my NC I from the MP, so figure I can now join in. I can't wait until she arrives! Thanks for all the hints on clothes and things while I lurked in the shadows. It's odd but after reading for several weeks I feel like I know many of you.

IngieBee, I really love Fred's wild wig. Maybe you should live with it for a while before trimming, because once trimmed, it's too late to go back if you decide you like it better this way. And it goes wonderfully well with his facial hair.

Oh, Ingie, that hair is wild. I agree with holding off on the cutting if you feel indecisive about it - and maybe you could try different styles with it long. Maybe a headband or a ponytail if you want to go surfer/hippie.

Some boys just grow up fast! My son is quite tall and not too skinny already at 14 in a couple of months, but he has the long legs, arms and big hands of a pup you know is only gonna get bigger! LOL

Oh, but he really did turn out just the way I wanted him to. His faceup is not professional, but the look is right on for me and I just LOVE him! I've finally added him to the Ryan Database! I'm so happy!

Asatee, I agree with irezumifan! Mariette seems to be like a friendly ghost, kinda like Casper, LOL. The silvery grey dress is perfect to complete the look, I love her! She's just too pretty to be unapproachable I think that's the Dollheart outfit with a blue coat, no? I love that outfit! Leaving off the colorful jacket is perfect though (though I'm sure she's pretty with it on, this way is a little ghostlier )

I'm so Happy! Marlt just posted more pictures of her JID girl and Lati Blue boy together. The Lati's head seems to have the same size face, but a smaller skull. I think I'm going to get my Tania the Lati Blue boy (gonna have to make this costume for him, though he'll kill me) and then "pad" his cranium with a doll head cap to pad it up a bit (or use something that'll increase his head size so that side shots, etc... don't show a difference I really think it'll be an easy fix

For your lati boy, you could always give him big hair, that seems to cut the cranial size difference away.
