I hate when they spring things on us like this. Now I have no time to build up resistance! LOL (just kidding if you are reading this Iple, love you!)

 

Ack. Just saw the heights on the Iple site. Bah. Why is there no line between JIDs and YIDs!? Seriously, there's like a huge height gap there now, right where my Cookie was supposed to be

Sorry AG! The 56-58 CM range isn't very popular for boys.

Yeah, I would have much preferred a 50cm or so girl. This way works though, I can concentrate on saving for my Elena.

 

Maybe you all should message Iple... 50 girls and 56 boys in a Teen Iplehouse Doll line maybe??

 

I think it would be cool if they started making animals too. Not cartoon animals like everyone else, but more life-like. Dogs that stand on four paws and cat with actual cat eyes. I think that would be so cool! They are really good with real life humans, so why not try animals? Lol sounds like a good Idea to me! I'm sure Gemma and Rowan would love pets.

I doubt they will make a line between JID's and YID's. What would they call them and what age group could they be? There isn't really a step between juveniles or teens, and young adults. I would like there to be though, be I don't think it will happen

I need to do more sewing, I've been resizing patterns like crazy yesterday and the day before, but haven't actually tried sewing anything yet, 'cause I'm always afraid of failure, LOL. Those patterns are so nature inspired she kind of looks like a Fairy Queen there ;D

Say, they misinformed us in the "forum" over at IH, said KID was gonna be 26cm but they're Narsha size, 35cm!!! And these BID's are 26! I wonder what they will look like??? Now the suspense is going to kill me! Ugh!

 

Yeah, I am planning on re-naming her. It's fairly essential to my own bonding process, you know? I haven't decided yet, but she'll either be Calla or Charlie. I love the name Calla, but Charlie is just so cute too. Opinions?


I was hoping for something in between the JIDs and YIDs as well Anything in that height category would be PERFECT for Elena's Matthew, but I'm not hung up on height. If I see a JID that fits him I would rather have the face mold over body. And they surprised us with the BIDs so I'm happy!

 

Buh... haven't posted here in awhile!
I was hoping for something between JID and YID, as well. My YID boy is just too tall compared to my JIDs... he's definitely supposed to be taller, but not make them look like midgets! His legs are too long too, and his butt isn't big enough.

With the KIDs and BIDs, I'm hoping that they have sculpts that are similar to Tatiana, Tania, and Ryan ~ I'd absolutely love to have child forms of Asalie, Ariin, and Kale -- and stuff them in super cute clothing that I know they would hate. But I guess this means that I should hurry up and get my "I" paid off!

Oooooo a 35cm size is great. I love that size doll. Can't wait to see what they come out with. How fun is this? How bad for the wallet. Urg.

 

I'm excited to see the 35cm line too. I've been wanting little juniors for awhile but since clothes for them is hard, I haven't bothered...

Yea, it's a great size but a bit tough with clothes. I had a Narsha and I currently have a Unoa Chibi who is that size. You would be surprised how many things I have in my stash that fit her. Mostly slimmer fitting Unoa clothes and even some Yo size clothes fit. I would love a little brother to go with my Chibi. Squeeee, how cute would that be?

WOW! Are KID's really going to be 35cm?? How amazing! I can't really take credit for it of course but I did go on the IH website three separate times requesting that size, and showing them how cute my IH Amy head looks on the Narsha body.

One thing I have noticed about IH is that they REALLY listen to collectors, so maybe they did make this size just for me lol!

I am so excited to see more dolls in new sizes from beloved IH! I have a feeling this is going to be VERY bad for my pocketbook!

Just a reminder of how a cute KID might look now we know they will be Narsha size: Amy on a Dollmore Narsha body.

Yah, Valentinegirl, and also, if you really like Narshas (Like I do, but never got one as of yet) it gives you more options for "friends for Narsha" I mean, how many dolls are there in that size? That size will probably tempt me more than the BID size (formally thought of as the KID size by me)

Hummmmm, just noticed on the Iplehouse website, they have an announcement section now (didn't notice before) And hey have this announcement:

We make out the doll manufacturing list twice a month and then hand over to our manufacturing team.

We are supposed to make out the manufacturing list on Apr. 12.

So, for customers who are doing the layaway payment now, if there are some customers who will make final payment around the middle of Apr, please let us know in advance.

We will register the order on our manufacturing list. ^^

I had this suspicion there'd be movement on SIDs after I ordered my Vito . . . heh. I have high hopes for SIDs, am curious to see the two tiny sizes (Iple doesn't do really super cute stuff much, after all O_O), but most of all just really looking forward to my JID boy! *has unrealistic expectations of him getting home relatively quickly*

I know right IngieBee I decided to ask her since I was asking her some other questions anyway and yep, Marsh sexy pants is to be had! When I asked Marsh even had a JID boy staying at her house (a friend had left him to visit it seems).

 

Noob question time! Anybody know a good way to change the hand parts? I just got the fist shaped ones from iple but I have no clue how to change them out (I've only ever changed magnetic ones). Anyone have links to a tutorial or any tips?

 

I've taken Melody's hands off (For fun.) And all you really have to do is pull on them till the elastic is showing then hold onto the elastic and pop the hands off, and put the new ones on. Don't drop the elastic though or you'll have a hard time getting it out of the forearm. I had a crocheting needle to help me, but the S hooks in the wrists are easy to slide off the elastic when you want them to.

 

Your girl is so cute. I love this size doll, don't you? I do hope they make younger looking faces too which I'm sure they will. Amy looks cute on the Narsha body but I think the other JID's are too old looking. BTW don't you just love Narsha hands? I think she has the most fabulous hands.

Isn't it exciting getting a new something for your new boy? I can't wait to see him. Is Ynja going stir crazy yet? BTW I love Marsh pants too. Do you know if she has a JID girl too?

 

Just got another little gift from my mother to my girls. It was a late Easter present. Rowan FINALLY has gotten rid of her bush wig and has a nice sleek one now! I had to trim the bangs a little, and will be trimming the length as well because it goes down past her thighs!
Also, Gemma got the gray sweater from iple. When I was taking it out of the package, I poped a button off! Ugh! Now it seems I have to get the sewing kit back out.

 

Thanks for your nice comments Laura! I'm glad you like my hybrid! Some people called her "weird" when I posted her pictures on the IH site so I am a bit sensitive about posting her now. But to me she looks cute so I suppose that's all that matters.

Yes, I agree - Amy has a particularly young face. She also has a face and head that is quite a bit smaller than her JID sisters. I've tried both Tania and I's heads on the Narsha body and it looks strange - too big and too mature.

I think the Narsha body is beautifully sculpted and very artistic. The only caveat is that it's an old-fashioned body with single joints. I'm hoping to fall in love with the KID body which will hopefully have newer-style engineering.

 

Um where are the pics of Rowan and her sleek new do?

 

I'd be inclined to think the head switching will probably be the girls too; Iple has pictures in the gallery where you can put the female EID head on a male YID body, and it looks way better than the YID boy head on an EID woman body.


I'll really have to wait until she gets here to decide 100% for sure, but I think Charlie has managed to win out. I like the boyish name combined with how I really want her to be more of a girly-girl than Elena is. This is really exciting because Elena was really a set character before she was dolled, and Charile can be my chance to experiment as she is much less defined in my mind than Elena. That is, if my friend doesn't try to steal her from me! (I was showing him her pictures and he was completely enchanted. It's pretty hilarious. He even made me promise to tell him when she gets here so he can help with the box opening.)

I wouldn't listen to them valentinegirl, I think she looks really great! Lots of Iple fans go for their molds due to the unique bodies so it probably seems weird to them to change it out... But who cares about them, she's your girl and she's adorable!

Valentinegirl, I agree, don't listen to them, your Amy is gorgeous. Personally I think it's amazing that Amy is so versatile; to be such a cute little girl or a beautiful young lady like shuga-shug's Chloe.

So I'm catching up on the reading & I'm seeing all the SID stuff coming out! How exciting! I can't wait to see what else IH has in store for us. Hopefully I won't transfer my Ryan money to this new size, LOL.

 

Valentinegirl: You have no idea how much that particular picture makes me want to have a KID with Amy's face. I'm looking forward to seeing what they offer. From what it sounds like from Iple House, you may be able to put the JID head on the KID body. I'm still tempted on the 26cm dolls though. I've always wanted a doll from that particular height group.

Yaay, (er... I probably missed a holiday sale, but will keep my eyes open for the next one)

Momo, if you do lose the elastic, jut pull the parts off until you can reach it again (noting the order) then thread a ribbon through the loop, thread the ribbon ends through the pieces in the right order, and pull, until you've got the end of the chord again, then hook the hands on again. You can slip the wrist "cover" (open ring) on after the hand is hooked.

Also, for feet or hands, to put tight clothes on, you can unhook the hands or feet from the S hooks, and hook a slightly larger washer on the -hook thereby making it easier to put skinny jeans or long sleeve skinny shirts on your doll. It's really not that much trouble, and the only risk is if you lose the chord and have to use the method above to restring it. I do this with Fred's pants because it's actually easier to get them on than fool with going over the feet.

Gee, I haven't even tried my new jeans for Jackie (Tania) yet! Kid's been sick and I've been trying to keep her up to date with school, ugh! , I'm an impatient teacher or just bad???

Valentinegirl, I actually like Amy on the Narsha body. I used to feel she was way too immature for the JID body (but now that I've seen other faceups on her, she can work VERY well that way!) But she doesn't look weird at all, and maybe the comment was "weird that it would fit" Rather than a negative weird?? She's beautiful! And I agree, I love Narsha's body sculpture! Most beautiful hands...

ThrowMyFaith, I have to put my vote in for Charlie belatedly and reluctantly (because I now wish I had thought of it for Charlotte's nick name!) LOL. Very cute. I now realize Charlotte needs a nickname too, so:

friedrich = Fred
Charlotte = Shar
Jacqueline = Jackie
Nikos = Nick if not Nikos

Ah shoot, Shuga, I'm late again (would have loved the blue best!) My computer got a virus or something late last night and after everything seemed fine, my antivirus and anti malware both found the problem and supposedly took care of it, but when I tried to reboot, it wouldn't. I couldn't boot into safe mode, I couldn't back up files in recovery council, I was totally stuck, so today I reinstalled windows in recovery mode and thank goodness, it didn't wipe out my files! I was super worried about my family pictures! But I've been updating all evening, and look over at my youngest daughter's computer, and she has the same thing happen. When, after antivirus supposedly "caught" the infection, the computer wouldn't boot. Now I'm redoing her's too! Grrrr! I'm very worried all of us will be hit, in which case, when will it end if the antivirus doesn't work? Oh well.... sorry for going off topic...

I'm not too excited about the SID's as I won't be going that big unless my husband makes huge amounts of money and offers me spending money, LOL, and another room to the house!
