Aaaaarg! That mischievous smile! That's exactly why I LOVE Tatiana! LOL! >_< What's funny is that in my case, Chandana (pre black wig) is the more mischievous one! She's calmed down quite a bit now. I know my future Tatiana (I'm still searching for the perfect name) is going to be the "sweet" one at the beginning...then who knows what she'll decide to do.

Wow I've been away for a while @_@ I'm no good at keeping track of big threads. Interesting news though. I asked iple about possible new outfits for the JID boys (because omg, not enough for the boys at ALL) and this is what they said:

SweetMelodies- Haha When you first said you weren't a fan of the twilight plague, I was like: "Um...you named your doll Rosaile. Sounds like you've been infected to me" LOL But I understand now. Yeah, I was one of the people who read twilight back in 05' when it first came out, and then once the movies hit, everyone jumped on the band wagon a few years later. Irksome. Now I can only stand it in small doses. But I'm with you on the doll character things! It a really cool idea.

 

Well, the name Rosalie actually exited before twilight did . Thin Lizzy did a cover in 1975 of a song called Rosalie... so the way I see it Twilight doesn't own any names... I had a girl in my class called Bella... and Edward is just one of the most British names I can think of...

Hearing the name Rosalie I think of Thin Lizzy singing "Rosalie, Rosalie" in the refrain...

 

Ceramic_Samurai, for some reason I read that as Iple were making JID spiderman cosumes. o.O
I have no idea why (or why this is even related) but whatever. xD

Anyway. I made denim shorts for Jasper today. C: Guess I'm in a making mood right now or something...Hoping this means I can think up / make a Halloween outfit for the Halloween swap! :3

 

LOL, yeah, the majority of Twilight names existed long before. A friend of mine had a son she named Jacob before the craze started.. She's NOT happy now.

I wanted to name my first daughter Isabella but Twilight kind of ruined that for me.

Ugh, it's all overcast today! Can't get any good pics. Really need to get myself a light tent.

 

Oh I totally understand twilight doesn't own names, and that all of those names were around way before twilight. I just meant that now with the majority of world obsessively crazy about the series, I, myself, would at first assume the name was adopted after the twilight character. It's just the first thing that pops in my mind.

 

Hippolovergurl I really must learn to use emoticons right, what I meant to say is that I find both hilarious and slightly scary that a movie can get so big that people associate ordinary names like Bella and Edward with it. The big eyed blob was supposed to indicate humor... I wonder if there's a "Emoticons for dummies" book I could read.

Hi, miniatuur! We've got a great JID clothing thread over here that helps a lot, for clothes. The sitting thing really seems to have a lot to do with stringing and sueding. Iple tends to string really loosely when they ship, so a re-stringing helps a lot, especially if it's with a thicker type of elastic. Sueding isn't mandatory, but it still helps a lot too.

Rosalie kinda popped in my head when I saw Tania. I guess the old fashion, elegant name suited her character I had in mind. Nothing to do with Twilight.

I do admit I read..well not read...but had a program read me the first book and watch all 3 movies to see what so great about this franchise. If anything, I like Alice since she is the few with a back story and personality then other characters. Maybe for a joke one day, I might make Rose coseplay as Rosalie Cullen xD I need to find a doll size Cullen crest necklace for her or a pendent.

I have another question for you: Do any of your Iple clothes fit your Rosette enough to be passable? I know Rosette's are way taller and skinner then JID's, but I'm scared about buying a whole new wardrobe.

LOL When I was in 1st grade (5 or 6 years old I guess) I used to play Pokemon cards with all the boys in my class at recess. lol None of the other girls wanted to play with anything other then barbies. I was such a little tomboy. ^^

I just would like to know clothes that fit both doll sizes, basically. I can always check store measurements, but there's nothing better than actually knowing whatever it is fits. Not really sure when I'm going to get my Camellia, but it's good to be prepared.

Ditto. I almost couldn't keep a Real Skin Jerome out of my shopping cart when I ordered my "I" in the last ordering period! He stayed in there until just before I clicked the 'Check Out' button... I almost didn't have the heart to kick him out but the doll display space I had at the time and my finances said otherwise. ^^;

I wonder if it will be all the JIDs in RS, or if they will be special versions like their other limiteds like the Tokyo Story EID/SIDs and the Swan Lake YIDs? Either way, this is dangerous LOL. I just ordered another Iple doll recently (literally a week ago), and was going to add onto my order because they came out with more clothes in that doll size two days after I ordered. -shakes head-

... I should just give Iplehouse direct access to my available spending money. Because that's usually where it goes. Its either spent on an Iple doll, or stuff for an Iple doll...

Sofay and Impy- Yea, it was mostly the boys who liked it at my school...and then came yu-gi-oh. lol Everyone got into that! But once the Pokemon craze was over, I dropped out of the trading card phase and went to care bears and bratz dolls. LOL Big change.

 

O... Care bears, I loved those... but wait a minute... I had those somewhere in the early eighties (1982 i think?). Without trying to be ageist, i do not think you mean you had them then. Did they have a revival in the states?

 

Haha yes they did! They came back in circulation (at least where I lived) about 8 years ago. Everyone brought theirs to school and we all sat in a circle and played with them at recess

Yeah Care Bears revived in the 90s here in the states. I'm not sure how many movies were made along with a new cartoon, but there were at least three. And it started back up again a few years ago, with a new CG tv show, instead of regular animation. I own a lot of Care Bears from both the 80s and 90s, though. I also have some MLPs floating around here somewhere, with a set of 80s My Little Pony dvds. I'm not afraid to admit I bought the dvds as a high school graduation present to myself.


And ugh, Iple, stop releasing things I want! I've been told I've reached my doll quota for the year (and, truthfully, I need to try and outfit my incoming Beyla but omg dream doll, I don't care if she's naked), but I'm thinking about trying to squeeze in a RS Ryan. I really want to get my Matthew. I always feel bad that Elena doesn't have her man around.
