Hey guys, I recently acquired a Lonnie head, and I was wondering if any of you know what would be a good body to hybrid her with? I'd love to have an Iple body, of course, but they're expensive and hard to find anyway. She seems to be normal pink or whatever, but I'm more interested in matching the proportions and neck size than color. Got any pictures of hybrids?

 

@thessalyrose , I don't know of many good bodies for her? Maybe Dika doll body, or dollmore Narsha body? It's hard to find a body with the right dimensions. 34.5cm tall and 7cm shoulder width (which may be more important) and neck of 6.8. You could browse through acbjd.com for a nice choice of makers in one spot to check out. She might be tough to match, but at the same time more forgiving. You might compare head sizes, and do some modeling of the neck. Sorry, I hope someone else has better information!

FYI, my page's head is very comparable to a minifee head, you might want to make her a mini? FYI, a

 

Minor differences in neck diameter might be solved by using silicone kips which are readily available.

 

A Saint Bloom body might work. I will try to check.

 

I would love to do a Saintbloom body, but they seem to be as hard to find as an Iplehouse one. Obviously, the KID height is really cool, but I'm okay with a different height too. The seller suggested putting her on a mini body, but I'm not sure she'd go well with my other minis, as her head is much more narrow. I really like this body from Island Doll. It's only 28 cm, but I love how curvy she is. But I think Island Doll is environmental resin? She might end up being a fairy; I don't really have a story for her yet.

 

Doll Family H has a new 35cm boy Xiao Chan that might work and he's on sale!

That is a gorgeous body. And affordable. I wonder if they'll come out with a girl body later.

 

I decided to delete my post, I was very mad when I wrote it (it was about how I got my KID today and she came with a bad lips and how floppy she was) but I will fix that, I just wish I didn't have to pay $50+ for a face up. Other than that, I love her! she is one of my favorite KID sculpts and I will give her a lot of love.

Edit: did IH change the bodies? I was out of the hobby for a long time but I love my 6 year old KID, he stands like a rock, I have never changed his strings and he still very sturdy while my new girl is so floppy and I spent 5 minutes trying to stand her. I hate her ankles and when she finally can stand she stays in a weird pose. The quality from Iplehouse has declined so bad... :/

@Yumeko-chan I don't own an Angela but if you search Iplehouse Kid Angela on flickr there are several owner photos of her.

 

I have KID Angela, but she's in what they now call dark brown. I had wanted her in light brown to be an older sister to two other older light brown BIDs, but it was at the time that Iple decided to darken their 'light brown' so she arrived very dark. So after some complaints from many people, Iple decided to offer both browns, and my Angela, although being in what was considered 'light brown' at the time she was ordered, is now considered Dark Brown.

 

Guys you lphouse kids are cute. Dose anyone know what size of bjd furniture works?

I am doing research on this size.

 

Well, for me, the KIDS look like 8 year Olds and I think they look pretty nice with the 1/4 scale dolls. However, they could be 4 with the 1/3 scale dolls??

You need to have some sort of "hosting" site that can make the photo into a BBC code. Then you copy the code in your post. I use Flickr for that purpose...but there are other sites (not that I know what they are).

I received my Esi in real skin back in September, but realized I have not posted any photos of her other than her box opening!

 

She's really cute. I didn't even recognize her in this resin colour. I like her so much better like this.

Thank you! I love Iplehouse’s ebony resin but couldn’t really justify the cost at the time I bought her, I’m so glad I ended up getting her in real skin instead of waiting and saving longer!

Can I just ask if anyones KID’s have any toys? What are they and have you any photos of them with their toys? Apart from clothes etc I want to get my Olivia Paige something to play with for when she arrives.

 

Sure, my dolls have a lot of toys. They have plushies, they have games, they have little figurines and even their own little dolls. ^___^

 

I’m keen to see as many pictures of Paige as possible!! I’m on the fence about her face. It’s so real and expressive, but in some pics she looks grumpy and too old for her body, in others just right.

Is it just the angle, or is Lonnie’s head a lot smaller than Paige’s? She’s giving off little sister vibes here. Would you (or someone!) be able do a side-by-side comparison? Still looking for my first Iplehouse KID

 

Lonnie actually has a slightly wider face than Paige. (I have both), and Paige just looks bigger in that photo since she's probably closer to the camera. Here they are side by side....
