Iplehouse is coming out with 3 new KIDs!!!

No @IngieBee .... I happened upon it on their webpage. At the top header there is “Iple BJD”. It’s where they give previews of upcoming dolls.

There will be 3 different ethnicities - African, European and Asian

No date was given when they will be released though....hopefully soon!!

 

I'm very curious to see them. My Byuri could use an older sister, and who knows about the others? I also wonder if they will be Limited or Basic?

 

Iplehouse used to release KID&BID Christmas limited editions. Maybe it's like that. Too early for them, though

And just as I thought I'm almost done with my KID wish list Hope I'll not like any of them. At all.

 

Actually it would be perfect timing to release them to coincide with any upcoming Holiday Event

 

My Fay arrived this week. She was a bit too pale for my liking, so I added a tiny bit more blush, and some shading in her mouth. I also switched out her eyes. She came with dark brown 10mm eyes which filled her eye holes too much, and made her look like an 'alien'. So I replaced them with 8mm olive oval glass eyes. The only ones I had.

 

She is lovely! I like the eyes. It's nice when the only thing you have actually works!

I really like Iplehouse's dolls. It seems like there's a subculture around them, in that a bunch of creators make things specifically to their measurements. Maybe a long-term goal. Your Fay is gorgeous!

The new limited KIDs are up for sale. I'm intrigued by the fantasy(?) parts. Is anyone planning on getting one? I'm leaning toward Hannah and the Fennec Fox--so cute!

 

None of them really speak to me, although Esi would have possibilities in light brown. I wish they'd show more than one Makeup option. Anyways, I'm safe, and hopefully by the time they have their next Event the shipping prices will be back to normal.

 

Please say that Esi will be available in the "Doll Choice" option later?! I really really want her in the ebony skin color

I'm not sure if I can order her through this order period, but I'll try my best. If not I really hope I can order her through the Doll Choice option later.

 

@manabusama Esi is in Doll Choice now along with the other two. The current release may be the only way to get her in ebony, because Iplehouse has not added ebony to doll choice for some time.

You can do layaway for the order period, but you can't do layaway for Doll Choice.

 

I really love the ebony skin, I had Benny in ebony when she first were released so I know just how beautiful that skin color is. I'll have to make it somehow to order Esi.

Originally it have been in my future plans (I guess) for a year and a half to get a dark skinned Taregan or Baron. I were going to order him first, I just didn't know when. And he were going to have a daughter but I had no idea which KID sculpt that would be. None of the sculpts felt like the one. But when I saw Esi just today I felt she would fit well to be the daughter of Taregan. And she looks absolutely adorable in that outfit too

 

The new girls are to DIE for but I am out of money and waiting for the Lillycat Xmas pre-order!!! *sobs in poor* I freaked out so hard over Esi and the chinchilla! I thought she was mouse! And I am a massive sucker for mice dolls of all sorts! But am also SUPER PICKY about mice sculpts.... so I have ONE. I have one mouse...

 

My WS Celina that I ordered over the Summer sale arrived just in time for the New Year.

She's really lovely @luluna ! I've gone back and forth about whether I want to order a Daisy or a Celina for a while now. Your Celina pushes me towards leaning in that direction! She's just adorable.

I will not be able to order Esi now, but since I can later in the Doll Choice option I think I'll be fine.

@luluna Gyda is beautiful. I love her in red. Did you make it? I like the dark eyes. I have not changed my Celina’s eyes since she arrived.

 

Thank you! No I didn't make her dress....I got it from PixieDustDesigns on etsy. And yes, these eyes are what Iple put in her...Her character 'should' have blue eyes....but I really like the brown eyes here. So they will stay for awhile.

 

Cutie Esi arrived today. She is lovely, but I need to get her smaller eyes.
Then we'll need to figure out what type of outfits she prefers. I don't know why, but I've got the feeling, that she'll probably like summer dresses.
I'm just wondering what age are the KIDs supposed to be?

 

Sharkyra, your Esi is darling!...may I ask what skin color you ordered? And as for age, I think of my KIDs as around 12 to 13 years old, though I know several people have them as teenagers. Not sure what Iplehouse had intended, I've never seen it posted anywhere. Enjoy your lovely girl.

 

I think of my KIDs a bit younger...around 8-9ish.

 

I've always pictured Noni as around 14, a little older than my Yo-size crowd.

She's lovely and reminds me that today, while driving in my neighborhood, a young lady I don't remember seeing before, was on a walk and had loose curls like 3' long all around her head bouncing joyfully with every step, she was a vision. I almost opened my window to ask her if she'd give me her hair, LOL, but I know my strange sense of humor generally horrifies frightens people, so with great restraint, I kept my mouth shut for once, LOL.

Do you guys see pretty girls and boys and think "oh what a lovely doll they'd be?" OK, enough of my weirdness

BTW, my guess is they are between 5 and 8 years old?? What do you all think?

@clochette , 14? I guess maybe Your group is adorable!!! I guess it depends on the size of the group (as in height, eh?)

 

Thank you. Yes, most of my kiddos are more diminutive, so the Unoa Chibis and KIDs seem ages older.

 

According to the site KID dolls are supposed to be 6/7 years old.

 

I guess it depends on which other dolls Iple is pairing the KIDs with. I use them with JIDs and FIDs and then I think of them as around ten, with the BIDs ranging from four to six.

 

As I looked more at my KIDs I would say I'd lean more to 7-9 years old. And BIDs ages 4-6.

But like MBLilac said...it might depend on who they are paired with. Mine would be with the Big dolls, like EID, SID, nYID...which I know the scale isn't 'great' but it's all I have.

Yes, it's true, it will depend on which dolls they are paired with. Since I have mostly mini sized dolls, I guess they would be 10 - 12 years old then. But then again I might just keep my KIDs as a group of their own, as I'm not sure if they would really go well with my rather slim mini dolls.

@IngieBee well, not so often with the actual persons themselves, but I often see outfits/styles/items that I would love to have available in doll size. Then I usually tell myself that I could just create them myself, so I will buy the necessary craft supplies only to eventually completely forget about the project. e____e It's been so bad, that I recently decided that I'm not allowed to get any new supplies, until I've used at least half of my stash.

@clochette The more I think about it, the better I like the idea of a teenager KID. Yes, I think with the right kind of styling it could totally work.

Oh gosh, @Sharkyra, that sounds just like me!

 

@Sharkyra - I find the KIDs go really well with my slim minis. I have one Doll Leaves, some Limhwas, a Narin and several Naraes. And of course they go really well with the JIDs and BIDs.

 

I think so too @MB Lilac . Forgot to say before but OMGosh that little one on my left in the photo, OMgosh he is just too cute!! All your dolls have amazing personalities along with amazing costumes, amazing rooms, amazing photography!

 

Thanks. He's a KID Daisy, with a faceup by my friend. I made him a hard cap wig out of Angora mohair locks. He was an 'orphan' along with his little brother, so I made them part of an FID royal family.


I'm in need of another KID boy for another Fashion size family, so will order a boy Paige next month when the FIDs open up again, since I want one of those as well.

 

He's adorable too, but I was giggling at the pouty BID Both, all of them are adorable!

 

That's BID Ringo. He's David's little brother, and also became a Prince last year.

May I ask, when you made that curly wig, was the hair curled when you applied it, or did you curl it later? How did you make it lay right? I need to make something like that for my boys.

 

The mohair was curly to start with. I have wig tutorials one of which features David's wig. Well not the exact one in the photo, since the one in the tutorial photographed too orange so I made a new, darker one.

I could have sworn I commented a thank you on posting those tutorials @MB Lilac . But as usual I was probably distracted. Those will be added to my references when I finally get down to work! LOL

 

I pressed the 'BUY' button on a Paige boy last night. I needed a new boy to wear this costume that Milo has kindly volunteered to wear for the time being. But he's a contemporary boy, and can't do double duty in two separate families, so I had to buy someone new....

 

Paige is my only KID, and I love her! She has other friends though. I might need to get some JIDs for an idea I have though!
