Would yo sd dresses fit? I know the shirts fit from what research l been doing also what about volks yo sd clothes would they fit. Now just to find a out what kind of props people use

 

about fit... yes and no... it depends on the outfits. I have several yosd dresses from Alice collections... they work on both my BID and KID ... but on the KID they are often 'very' short. watch your shoulder and chest size and as long as the torso is not super fitted it should work. Just remember a Yo dress 'waist' will come up high on the dolls body instead of being at the waist. for KID's Dollmore Narsha stuff that is not super fitted works. AND my fave is older Ken doll (as in Barbie's Ken) with the superstar body (the beefier one) some of the looser tops and shirts can work. My Peack as a boy is in a Ken top further back in the thread (she's got short blonde hair and is in front of a doll sized large dresser).

Hello! I'm wondering if anyone has tried a chibi unoa head/faceplate on a KID body? I think it could work... but I'm not sure

 

I would think you'd have to use the entire head/headback structure, not just the faceplate?

What a cutie!!! And sadly the head back for chibi has a ball joint for the neck! I can easily make a head back though I want a body that can pose and crouch so the KID body/doll is perfect

Well in this instance it sure does! It's a little longer on the KIDs than the MNF's, but it totally works for her. The bodice on this one is stretchy and has no darts though. If the top was fitted wouldn't work as well probably. I have a couple other things to try to see though.

 

@JinCIncy your Arabel makes me want a Faye, and now I kind of want that minifee dress too!

@rosehollow - Thanks. I made her two gowns but I like this one best. The other one is the same colour as her eyes.
@Lady Tiku - Thanks. I really don't know. Iplehouse usually puts eyes in these smaller dolls that I find too large, so I almost always change them for a size smaller. I had wanted to change her eyes to a more natural colour, but I didn't have any other size 8 oval ones, and the round ones didn't fill the eye hole.

I just bought an Iplehouse K.I.D. Celina head on the local marketplace. It was for a good price (I'm hoping to use it for face-up practise) but I don't have a body for it. Does anyone have hybrids?

 

I have no idea on the body. Funny you should post this. I was thinking of selling Celina but after taking photos I cannot part with her beautiful face. Please be sure to post photos of her when you have completed the face up. Good luck on finding a body.

My head actually comes with a face-up (and CoA, even) but I bought her to experiment so it has to go. I feel a little bad about it, but to be honest I don't love her current face anyway so I probably would've wiped her even if I hadn't bought her for this purpose. I don't think it's bad though, I'm not a fan of the dark lines.

 

She is yours now, so don't feel bad. I look at it as freshening up @EagleVision1999

Thank you both. I was playing around with my KIDs trying to figure out who would be best to join an FID family back in time. I had been thinking of ordering another Lisa, in Normal this time, but she has a 'wider' face, and I wasn't sure I liked her with my Raccoon Rosie. Maybe it's Rosie's really small face, as it seems smaller than my FIDs, but I didn't feel like redressing any of those to compare.

I'm wanting a younger sister for my FID Yur, and really like Lisa in Normal.

I wish Iple would make some more of the KID sculpts Basic....

 

I think Iplehouse is done with KIDS and BIDS. All that seems to come out now are FIDS. No clothing for the little ones either

 

I don't think they are done with them. The last KID I ordered was Daisy, and there's been 4 others since her. And there's been seven BIDs that I've not been interested in since the last one I bought.

They just released some new outfits today, two of which are BID size. One of them is really cute.

 

It seems like they release a little one around the winter holidays. I hope they continue to do so.

 

Bunny Nine9 sells a great body. Their normal skin matches IH pretty well, and is much prettier.

Anyway, I've got her now. This is what she looked like:


However I've already scrubbed her clean with alcohol. The mouth was an absolute pain to get off...I've also given her a coating of vallejo varnish and am waiting for that to dry. I'm really looking forward to painting her. I hope I will be able to give her just a hint of a smile (like her previous faceup) but without that very dark line...

 

Easy to see why you would have a difficult time parting with her - she's got such a soulful little face; a special little beauty.


I'm sure all have seen that Iplehouse is having a sale. It's always tempting. LOL

She's really cute. Funny, I never even imagined Faye as a girl, and I've not seen any others either. I've been looking at the KIDs trying to decide who to get in normal for one of my doll families, and Faye might just be the one.

Thanks. I went to look. Your Faye is beautiful. I've been trying to decide on which KID to order, and there's so little choice, plus I already own several and would have preferred not to get a duplicate. Even so, I had been leaning towards Lisa in normal (I have an older one in SR) but I like Faye's younger look.

So I've researched bodies and it seems that, just going by Celina's neck hole measurements, the Myou 45cm body should work. They used to do a bigger child body, but I think the head can also be made to look a bit older. I just don't know about resin match (for the head I've got, maybe normal yellow but idk). I have started on a proper faceup, too, I want to make her look a bit gentler that she looked with the faceup I got her with (I think she used to look rather...severe). She's also going to be blond, her old faceup seems to have been paited for a redhead.
I only got done with the first layer of her new face(the one I posted in 'Critique' wasn't it, no worries ) I'll continue tomorrow and I hope I'll be able to post a nice picture then.

I've finished Celina's faceup (for now). I'm not sure about her lips, but I'm happy with everything else.

 

Your photo convinced me to order her. I already have extra Medieval/Fantasy outfits for her for when she arrives, but my ultimate goal is to dress her immediate family in Rococo style. It's just that I have several other outfits for other incoming dolls that I need/want to make first
