Iplehouse Kid K.I.D. 35cm discussion part 3

I was reading that some of the Little Darling clothing fits, but that its a hit and miss sort of thing. I don't have any of these dolls and clothes. Would it be possible for those of you who have used these on your KID to maybe list the name of the outfit or post pictures so I'll know what to look for? Thanks in advance.

Everyone's Lonnie is adorable....girls and boys. I'm beginning to climb the walls waiting for mine to arrive! It took her a whole week to get out of Spain and the last tracking notice was on 7/11 in NY...saying she cleared sorting. That was 4 days ago! Even if she was being driven across country by car, she'd be here today! Why pay for tracking if they don't tell you anything!!!! I have clothes, shoes and a wig waiting for her. When she arrives you can count on being "spammed" with pictures.

Okay, the ranting is done.........I just want my Lonnie. I know Bonnie will take a while because she's coming from the factory.

 

that's why they call it "snail mail" you could walk some of it faster than the mail gets it to you... but i hope your lonnie gets there soon!

I'm in the same boat as you, there are times when I don't write anything myself, but I always check the threads I subscribe and I love to see photos. I'm glad that you haven't left us though!


I got some exciting news from Iplehouse today! I asked them on the Q&A board if they planned to release a new KID in the Carved Heritage series, this is what they answered:

We are thinking about releasing a KID in the series but we haven't deicided yet.
If we do, it will be around this fall and KID will be one of supporting character.

I really hope they will release a new KID! I was thinking of buying Lisa or Peach as a friend for Astrid, but now I think I'll wait for this one instead

 

O_O I don't know if this is good or bad for me lol... maybe it will be a 'special edition' to introduce a new basic? It sounds almost like they have to many ideas themselves to be able to do them all lol. they mentioned new JID's (a b & g) and then there is the mysterious new release they mentioned that is smaller than the nYID's but bigger than a JID.... omg way too much for my wallet all at once ><. And my little tiger boy wants a companion of his own size too even if she is a human ;p

 

Iplehouse is on a roll! I'm lucky, I'm 99% sure that I won't need any new JIDs(I just don't like the size that much), but I'm still excited to see all the new dolls! A new KID though...that might mean trouble for me Especially if they make a pirate-outfit, because I would love to buy that for Astrid. And then there's that mysterious SID-woman Iple have mentioned...I hope I won't love her, because while I can afford a small doll, I can't afford another big one right now. Gah Iplehouse, why are you doing this to us? XD

 

a new kid? hmmm not sure if i like that or not. i'm quite happy with my three, and don't really need/want another, though i haven't got a boy yet, and a pirate outfit would be really cute... they don't sell the limited outfits separately do they? i mean without buying a doll too?

 

no they don't sell limited's separately... unfortunately ... I'm not sure they could keep up with demand even for a short period if they did do that LOL.

 

Occasionally, they sell left overs they show up under IpleFashion < Clothes < Special Limited. I got LE outfits from Lonnie and Joy that way. They also occasionally sell left overs through their Auctions. But most LE outfits have never shown up in either place so yeah... no guarantees.

I do want another boy KID, even though I surely have enough... Four so far, and planning on getting a body for Lisa's other head -and- planning to get Alice which would make six... Gah. *sigh*

I've literally *just* ordered a Real Skin KID Irene after 5 minutes of discovering her Haha. I had a quick question and hopefully someone knows... I've opted for a layaway over 3 payments/3 months -- Which email do I send payment to? Is it the email listed on the side of the site? I just wanted to make sure

No tracking warning! Got up this morning and checked tracking, like always....and it said "Out for Delivery". Almost kissed the postman when he honked his horn for me to come out and sign for her! LOL That would have shocked him!!! I brought her in and quickly found my only Tonner Betsy McCall outfit. Perfect fit! The seamstress outfits for my Betsy are a bit loose.

I'm so happy to have gotten her. Now we have a bit of a wait for her sister, Bonnie, to arrive.

His sculpt is so versatile, he can look pouty or sad, even a little mischievous ;-) To be honest I would appreciate if IH had toned his lip colour down a bit, it's quite red for a boy. The face-up is the factory B-type, which I have seen on many Lonnie girls, but it is also great on a boy! I only trimmed his eyelashes a bit :-)

Sharkyra, thank you so much! Actually, I was never that smitten with Lonnie as a girl, but the boy immediately caught my eye. Not that I wouldn't like all the amazing Lonnie girls out here, but the boy just pulls my heartstrings more ;-)

the girls vastly outnumber the boys, on this thread just like a lot of threads. i keep planning to get a boy one of these days, but so far the limiteds have bumped my boys and they haven't made it home

What sculpts are you eyeing/planning, auntbear?

 

I really really want a KID boy. I am having financial issues lately so buying a new doll is out of the question right now but it stays in the back of my mind. Unless they release new KID sculpts and I change my mind, the plan is to buy Peach as a boy.

 

It might be nice to get a KID boy, but none of the current sculpts look like boys to me. Well, maybe Millie. I wish IH would offer some more 'masculine' hands for KID boys as well.

 

Oh, I remember you wanting a Peach boy, svgjen :-) Don't worry, I am sure he won't dissapear anytime soon, so you can have one in more-financialy-secured future

Hm, I think someone mentioned Iple is thinking about a KID in Carved Heritage series. It would only be fair if they did a really boyish one, considering that the last KID - Lisa - was only presented as a girl. So maybe there is a hope for a real boy ;-)

i think joy makes a good boy, his first two makeup options especially.

ever since i got my first lonnie girl i have wanted to get a joy as well, elf his ears and make him a boy. but then i got a lb lonnie (girl) during one event and a pg lisa when she came out in case she didn't go basic (which she hasn't so far...) so my boy joy is still waiting to come home

 

I would love to see a really boyish KID as well.................and some cool historical type outfits for him, like they did for the girls.
I love this little daisy set, and I want to get the perla set for her too.

She looks really beautiful! It always surprises me how versatile the Lonnie sculpt is, and how she can look so different in the different skin tones. She's beautiful in real skin.

bree really does look lovely in real skin. there is a reason why lonnie is still my favorite sculpt. i don't think i've seen a skin tone she doesnt look good in, and i think we've seen her in everything but ebony?

I have yet to find what I have in mind for my Lisa (Undine). The dress she's wearing now is really pretty, but I also want some kind of drapey blue/green/purple one so she looks like the sea. I'm too picky! haha

Yes, the chair would be fine with the larger dolls. I actually have my SD17 boy sitting in it most of the time. I got it from VolksUSA back when they first opened up their store online though, so I've had it a long time. You might be able to find something similar on ebay though?

I'm considering getting a RS Joy as a big sister for my Byuri - someday. First I want to see what the new KID this fall looks like.

Not 'picky', you just know what you want. I think my Lisa would look amazing in something Medieval, but that means having to find time to make it.

I'm planning to get a kind of ghost or vampire character and thought of different molds that may fit. That character ought to have pale skin, pastel old-fashioned clothes and a pastel mohair wig. Just today I thought that maybe a KID could be fitting quite well. I think I already fell in love with Lonnie... And I'm not surprised that there are so many of this lovely sculpt around!
I have to sleep over it, but maybe I'd get one for christmas.

Now I look for information regarding shoes and wigs. Do KIDs wear 6-7" wigs? Which eye size looks realistic? And where can I find fitting shoes?
I'd also like to ask how well KIDs pose in general.

 

Hello all-- I got a Lisa head from the MP way back in January, and have been waiting for her body/working on putting her together ever since. She's a hybrid and has some mods as well-- I gave her elf ears, and she's on a 5Stardoll 1/6 girl body that I painted to match her gray resin. I've been lurking this thread ever since I got her head, looking at all of the pics of everyone's KIDs, so I thought I'd post one of my girl now that she's finally all put together. This is Hazel:
