Well I hope she isn't put off that my Eve is male

Currently I'm stuck between Irene and Peach for Eve as a KID. I was leaning towards Irene as he has the wide eyes and plump lips of the F.Elin BID version of Eve, whilst Peach is slightly narrower in the eyes and is heading towards the more mature version of Eve. But now Edwin is closer around the lips to Peach... Damn it I'm stuck again

I had decided a while back that Oscar would be my 'Adult' Eve. He has that little upturn to an almost smile that's endearing and he can be just feminine enough to pass as a girl if dressed appropriately yet still be masculine when it calls for it (Eve is a cross dresser for most of his storyline, but very much the alpha male if pushed the wrong way )... Now I keep seeing AnimeRockStar's Juan and thinking 'maybe?' But nah Oscar is my Eve

So with Edwin that would mean 4 dolls to shell one character If I did that though I'll also have do the same for Kaz, his childhood sweetheart It's already got me thinking... BID Bono/Bonnie, KID Milly, JID Cecile and YID Vera... That's eight dolls before I even introduce any other characters

 

I figure after retiring Ryan, Iple felt the need to deliver a new Mars inspired JID. I like him a lot--he's in that nice medium zone. Maybe the next boy will be more mature to balance it out. Kind of like how they released Violet then Cordelia (mature then cute).

BTW. He looks a lot like Vera in some ways too ... hmmm ...

 

I just have to chime in here saying that I am also planning to get Vera to be the same character as my JID Cecile
But that would be it. I had contemplated getting a KID Peach for a little while, but now I am leaning towards using my Cecile for that younger age, and Vera for the all grown up version.

Wow that is a lot of dolls for one character. I thought about getting KID versions of Lacie and Josh at one point but nah I have other dolls I want on my list more. I have an Oscar on my list too, but I want him in light brown and blank so I can paint him myself and cover him in freckles. Funny, Vera is on my list too and she'd be a character from the same story as Seth lol

My poor little Rosalie, she kinda likes Edwin but sadly I just don't like the JID boy bodies that much and really only want one MSD. Maybe someday down the line she'll get a friend.

Aww, Edwins cute, but not what I was looking for at all. Thank goodness. Alex, Fedora and Calanthe have wiped out my doll funds for the next like year.

 

As Eve and Kassie (Kaz) are my OC's I can see them in my head as these different ages and it somehow feels wrong to skip a stage now that I can see them in doll form I could probably hold out on getting a YID version of Kaz for a while and just leave at Cecile once I get Oscar, as Eve's species grow quicker to their 'adult form' than humans do. I guess that's why I can always see Kaz as being permanently pissed off that she is smaller than Eve 'the runt', especially as she is a year older than him (Cecile just gives me that 'I am so not amused right now' vibe when I look at her. So she's perfect)

I still have them as late teens age wise in the current plot of the storyline, so I guess that could work. Large clumsy Eve, not quite mentally grown to match his size physically. Small (tiny?), yet more mature Kaz, leading him by the hand. Yeah I think that could work for a time. Eve's species are supposed to be almost like giants to their human counterparts as they gradually mature, hmmm...

Sorry I digress, lol Anyway I really want to see my two in all four stages and Edwin fits the bill for Eve as a JID, with Cecile as a good JID sculpt for Kaz. We'll see if I finally get to do it though, seeing as I've broken doll budget twice already in the last few months to get Bliss and then Leo a twin brother... It may take another year... Maybe two? But I'll definitely post pics of the group I end up with (and the family if I do shell them)

It is a lot I know, but I can't help seeing my guys in them . Iple have totally spoiled me for sizes. I'm thankfully keeping them to YID and below. I may consider SID for some of Eve's sisters if I ever shell them as well, but I may just stick with Eve and Kaz because Eve has eight sisters and that would be so much money I can't even imagine

I'll be getting Kaz a BID persona first and go from there, but right now Asa's companion looks to be first up on the list for the next doll after the current guys I'm waiting on come home. And I won't be getting him for quite some time yet as his sculpt is yet to be decided. It's looking increasingly like he'll be a Daniel at this point, but I'm crossing my fingers that Edwin isn't the only JID male to make an appearance this year.

Hopefully your Rosalie won't be alone forever. Maybe a hybrid someday down the line...

 

Edwin is just darling! He looks like Daniel's brother, with those almond eyes and that grown-up expression.... In some pictures, he does look like he's plotting to kill whoever put him in that little-kid outfit. ^^ Also clearly a Mars/Claude junior cousin, with the nose and the smile. I would say "Daniel and Claude's teenaged love-child" except I can't say that without going Eww. xD I like him with the B makeup on Realskin.

Also also also, three cheers for finally more CLOTHES! Well, a couple, anyway. Leather skinny-jeans and a baggy grey tank top-- they don't go together, but at least they're there.

Well, clearly not "everyone" has been asking for that. Iple does what Iple will do.

 

Its okay, [MENTION=6370]JennyNemesis[/MENTION] because in reality that makes him Chris and Claude's teenaged love child, right (since Chris is an nYID Daniel).

I do like him, but have no plans for him. If I hadn't shelled James in a Mono he'd be a good contender for James. I'll have to wait for owner pics to see if he supplants Mono (whom I adore, and would totally just get a new character). [MENTION=67303]Forever[/MENTION] of course has to think of him as a younger double for Eve and wants him in an Oscar, so that really highlights that possibility (Oscar has something in his face that is a supreme serene, gentle look for older James-I adore it).

Hmm ... he could also make a good Quinn. That would be a nice character to resurrect for Gavin at some point, and Boris is not the right sculpt. Boris is just going to be someone brand new so I have the freedom to learn faceup work without the fear of "screwing up my characters." (nevermind I am still terrified. How did I ever get through Gavin's faceup?)

Edwin is cute, but IMHO would have made a better KID. Way too young and feminine for my taste. Definitely not the more mature sculpt I was hoping for.

 

Edwin is beyond adorable! Not the mature mini I was hoping for, but he'll definitely work as Daniel's best bud anyway. My first thought on seeing Faceup B was Mini Claude. I also see Oscar in him. I am totally getting him. Maybe not immediately, as my funds are low, but thank goodness he's basic. The only problem is I want him now, not later.

I wonder why they didn't add him back to the Iple BJD page? Not all the dolls shown there are Limiteds. Maybe they'll add him later.

 

Hmm... I was thinking his features would make a good KID. Though I kinda think that about Colin as well

There'll be someone out there that will do it in DC or from a split somewhere down the line. We'll have to wait to see how he looks in owners pics I guess

 

I agree. I think he has some dome, [MENTION=52416]MB Lilac[/MENTION]. He'd make a good kid. I was thinking they proportioned him more along those lines. *sighs*

On the flip side, he is swimming in those wigs (not to mention, again, one size too big for my taste in eyes)! I wonder if he's more of a 6-7 and they put him in 7-8s. Would that make a difference? I wish they'd posted his blank shots! So much easier to figure out potential sometimes ...

 

Actually I was just thinking that his sculpt would make a good girl, and I'd like to see someone go that route with it. Maybe sometime in the future...

I think he looks an awful lot like Bliss, and he would make a very pretty girl - an Edwina - although that name doesn't suit such a lovely face. I've been thinking Cecile would be my next JID, but I like the idea of Edwin as a girl. I'll see what I think if they have another 'Doll Choice as Basic Event' at Christmas, because with our lower dollar anything in Doll Choice is out of reach.

Edwin is a cutie that's for sure, but I have my Ryan and he is enough. Unless they make a JID Tedros or Arvid....I will wait.

I'm definitely interested in him, just can't afford any new dolls right now. Have currently have one on layaway, so it'll be a while. But I do plan on getting Edwin as a female in the future!

 

I didn't realize there were new clothes as well till I saw this post, then I just had to go look, now I can't get the image of Alex's butt in those tight leather pants out of my head. If I end up buying them I'm going to blame you LOL.

 

@ecchibat and others interested in Edwin as a girl, there's a color mismatch with NS to NS (though I've heard WS to NS is better), but I didn't think the gapping on my Boris head was that bad on a GSE girl body (maybe some sueding or other inventive inclusion might make it work awesome). Since the height is close to a JID boy, I think the proportions are pretty awesome if you want a tall girl for your MSD crew. Someone has a successful hybrid with an Isar head which is LOVELY.

The only problem is the knot and S-hook I had from DiM actually wouldn't make it up through the JID boy head (don't get me started on trying to make it work in the head that came with the body, haha)--but I think it just takes someone more comfortable with changing S-hooks or reknotting than me. I was going to have his head "hold" on the body while the Ekaterina head it belongs with was sent to the spa ... but alas, requires more skill than I have. Someone else might be able to make it work.

And [MENTION=17045]Lady Tiku[/MENTION] and @equine-aurora Gavin is really demanding these clothes (before he was only kind of demanding previous clothing releases). They are right up his alley and would mix and match with things I've actually made him. *sighs* Leave it to the first resin-kid to be the demanding resin-kid.

 

HAHA, there's something about your first that makes them way more demanding. My first has twice the clothes as the rest of the dolls. You could probably combine all the other dolls clothes and maybe equal her wardrobe. HAHA.

I think Ripley will be able to rock 'em, along with some of his Volks roommates' gothy tops.... He looks good in leggings, so I'm sure those leathers will perfectly enhance his assets. :3 Dat ass.

 

all this talk of 'demanding first's???' my first got totally spoiled rotten and has a huge drawer full of 'his style'... then he quit when the company went in a direction just a bit too 'weird' for his personality lol... But the rest of my resin monsters.... >< They don't understand the wallet is not a bottomless thing always full.... they ALL want. Who gets stuff depends on what's out, in stock & what "I" decide must come home first ;p They are all pretty spoilt really. What is realy bad for me.... is the clothing that gets bought waaaaaaay before the doll who CAN wear them lol My Jessica (I) will get to wear Edwin's stuff long before he ever gets here lol.

Today we want to inform you about layaway payment policy change.

As many of you may know, we have experienced serious delay in the last spring. And to avoid any more delay in the future, we have reformed our company overall. As a result, we succeeded in reducing production time to 30-45 days.

Since we offer maximum 90 day payment period for layaway orders, a lot of layaway dolls are stocked on the storage waiting to be shipped. Currently we send Paypal request when the doll is finished and ready to be shipped but this is causing problems. Some of customers worry that they have to pay the balance immediately even though due date is left. Also it is hard to check all the layaway orders manually and check if we received payments so some of the orders passes due date.

To resolve these kind of problems, we decided to use Paypal’s automatic billing system instead. When we apply this system to our site, payments will be withdrawn from your account automatically 30 days after the order date so you don’t have to manually send payment to us.

For instance, if you have bought an item ($900) from us on March 1st, and choose layaway and divide payment in three times, first payment ($300) will be withdrawn from your account when you make the order. And second payment ($300) will be automatically withdrawn from your Paypal account on April 1st and third payment ($300) on May 1st.

You can check more details like Merchant, Description of the product, starting date, expiring date, last billed amount and etc. on Paypal site. You can check it on Profile>My Money>My preapproved payments. Also you can check it with your credit card company too if credit card is linked to your Paypal.

After long consideration, we decided that Paypal’s automatic billing system will be useful for both us and to our customers. We are planning to apply this program around mid. April and if you have any idea or suggestion regarding this change, please leave a message on Q&A board.

That's the big reason why I did such a massive cross post >< A similar issue (issue was on the end of my bank though)... that literally 'emptied' my one account when I expected it to go on my Visa... I'm talking about $1,000 bucks O_O... be careful if you have more than one bank account.... cuz PP will just get the money when YOUR BANK transfers funds from another account... before charging a card... so ya AUTOMATIC payments just make room for more of those kinds of things... Thankfully I ONLY have my PP connected to my card.

 

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone here knew when the next Iplehouse head event was coming. I gotta get me a Boris head something quick! And also, anyone see the new boy Edwin? He's such a sweetie and kinda calm.

 

There really hasn't been any recent news on a head event soon I'm afraid. Although there may be a couple left over from the last one in the body parts section if you're lucky. Not sure if Boris will be among them though as there are very few left. Have you tried the MP? You may be find one there *fingers crossed* or you may find someone who'll do a split with you. Never hurts to look at that option

 

Yeah go with what Forever said lol... NEVER count on the head events... they happen when IH ends up with enough heads to do one. And just cuz they have one does not mean you will get it LOL.... I've tried ;p... It all depends on who is fastest hitting 'buy'... When there are 100 ppl all hitting the buy button for one head.... your chances are really low.

I'd say getting in on a split is an idea.

 

Couldn't Iplehouse withdraw the funds from your Paypal Balance, instead of your bank account, if you set it up that way? Then your payday wouldn't matter, as long as you keep feeding your Paypal Balance enough.

 

not everyone carries a PP balance... that also requires using a bank account and when I did that... THAT was when my bank emptied my daily use account instead of using a CC instead when my PP didn't have a balance... in this sense PP has access to ALL your monies... not just the account you told them about... banks are sooooo helpful... not ><

 

Well, that's what I mean-- if you put your layaway money in the PP balance instead of a direct-withdrawal from your bank account. It doesn't cost any money to move it into your PP balance. And of course you have to have a backup account, that's how things work; but as long as you keep feeding your balance, so it doesn't get empty, you're good to go.

(I have always just gone for credit cards instead, and only used PP balance when a certain seller required it... the credit-card company gives an extra layer of buyer protection which I like. But then I've also never bothered with layaways, because it always seemed like more hassle than just saving up & paying.)

 

Personally I do CC only too but how do you get money into a PP balance if you don't have a bank account tied to it... answer... you don't unless someone pays 'you' in PP. And after PP emptied the 'wrong' bank account (not the one THEY supposedly had access to) I will never give PP access to an actual bank account. And I don't split my money into different accounts other than 'checking' and one for "savings" which is the one I don't touch unless required... it's my retirement/emergency fund.

 

You need the bank account tied to it, of course, but you can deposit into your PP Balance and keep it there for the layaway to use. If you don't keep an eye on your balance, of course, then it'll start taking out of your backup account. So the key is to put enough into your PP balance so you're ready to pay at the agreed-upon time. I would never tie my savings accts to Paypal either!

 

you don't have to... I didn't either... in fact I created a 'separate' account for use with PP.... only my bank 'transfered' the money into it from the one with money in it... so I got nailed with NSF fees, transfer fees and had to use my savings for buying meds since it wiped out my checking in the process. My intention was if the account was empty the charge would go onto my CC... it didn't.

 

Had a pretty rough night, been awake all night and am going on 24 hours awake. Thank you anxiety, can you leave now. Anyway, I found I had some of this pretty fabric left over and there was enough left to make Rosalie a dress. Ember, my SID girl, has a shorter version. I almost threw this fabric out because I didn't think I'd have enough to make another dress (back in the days when I never thought I'd own an MSD, so long ago. Like two weeks lol) So here she is, also modeling some new jewelry. Trying to restock up on MSD stuff for my shop and so far I have had to make four copies because she claims them lol

All this talk of layaway and PayPal made me so jumpy that I ordered JID Edwin. Figured I'd get him into the system before Iple implements any changes. I'm using my PP balance for payments. All I have to do is remember not to use it for anything else until he is paid off.

 

Well, I'll be looking forward to seeing your Edwin. After seeing him blank and with the reshot photos with a wig that fits I am much more curious about him! (I sense a PS mock up session coming tonight ...)

 

Has anyone seen that cute Daniel up for auction on Iplehouse website? He is looking mighty fine with that faceup! Still not even thinking about getting another JID any time soon and I would probably PIF if I do now since their layaway is changing to automatic payments.

 

Iple's Product Description states that Edwin wears 6/7 or 7/8 wig. I have a couple of larger 6/7 wigs that I can't wait to try on him. The funny thing is that his head circumference appears to be the same as that of the JID boys who wear a 7/8. I wonder if it's actually smaller and IH simply hasn't updated the measurements on his page?

 

Well, he certainly looked like that first wig was eating his head before they switched it (Claude face or no Claude face). It doesn't look so big on Colin (yet still rather poofy) in the wig's page. Haven't some folks been able to get a 6-7 on Owen with success (I'm such a wig novice I had enough trouble getting his 7-8 on him the first few times ... lol)? Maybe not. hehehe. His head is definitely much bigger than my Limhwas, which are on the 6-6.5 side of the 6-7 range.

 

Iplehouse heads definitely vary in size yet they don't modify the dimensions iin their descriptions. You can't even trust the full set wigs to fit properly. Edwin looks to be on the larger size. I would expect 7/8 wigs to fit him better.

 

I'm starting to collect wigs now O_o... The first thing I did when I saw this one in the pile (at a doll meet) yell 'yay! green! now she has a St. Paddy's wig too!' It wasn't until someone said 'and it matches her dress too!' I saw it was two toned lol... And the blue is such a perfect match!.. not so regency but hey my kids do what they want lol...

 

Glad they finally offered a new JID boy, but Edwin looks so young. I ordered Daniel about a week ago. I think he's really beautiful and can't wait to see him with my girl (Benny). I think they'll be adorable together.

 

Hello =) I got my boy on Saturday and I'm lloving him so far. I ordered a pair of trousers with him which are great gor sitting but he can't stand in. I've looked through the clothes tgread on here and it seems to be a list of things which don't fit and so I wondered if anyone would be able to recommend clothes that do fit. I do photo stories so I need him to be able to sit in trousers! =)

 

PositivelyThrifty, welcome to Iple? Hehe, I am making my own pants because of this very problem. Iple makes pants they look great it, but just can't sit in at all!

 

There are some clothiers on Etsy that do JID clothing.
I've never tried any of them so can't comment on fit.
For my first Iple boy I commissioned a pair of outfits
for him from a local doll clothier and they are perfect.

On the subject of finding things that fit JIDs...I found a website with some BFC Ink doll patterns! I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this link here before, but the BFC sized items do fit JID girls pretty decently so I figured I'd give it a shot. There's a tank top and a regular shirt pattern that are free so I tried out the tank. It looks horrible : since I've only been sewing on the machine a week or so, but it does fit really well. I didn't have to alter it at all. I'm hoping the same could be said of both pants patterns, but I won't be able to find out myself for a while. I'm terrible on the sewing machine still haha. I hope someone finds this helpful or interesting.

 

I just had a look at the website. I think I've seen it before, but I never followed up. I'm not familiar with the doll or her measurements, but the clothes are cute. Like you, I'll probably try out the free patterns first and then progress to the paid patterns if I like the fit. As far as patterns go, these are very reasonably priced. Thanks for the link!

Speaking of clothes, the hoodie she's wearing is from TTYA. It's MSD/Unoa sized and fits her perfectly! (She has a small bust.)

 

Benny is such a cutie! Its hard to believe you got a Unoa-sized hoodie to fit a JID. Was it a little big to begin with? My JIDs can't share anything with my Unoas. There's just too big a size difference.

 

vermont chick, The hoodie isn't form fitting and kinda box shaped so there's room. I think it would be a bit baggy on an Unoa to be honest. However, I don't think it would fit as well on a JID girl with a bigger bust. My Benny has the smallest bust and is her chest is basically flat. Here is a full shot of the outfit if that's helpful at all!

Wow, the leggings are a perfect match! (I wouldn't expect MiniFee stuff to fit, either. Just goes to show you should never be afraid to try something on.) I love the outfit!
