Oh noooo, indeed! I've been wanting a peach gold Leona! I always forget to check the auctions, and I always see the great deals after they close. I hadn't been able to find peach Leona in pictures, but I thought she'd be awesome. My consolation is that I really don't like that makeup on her in that skin. I think I would have to go custom. I love Kyle and he looks so good in that outfit!

 

I am happy to say Fedoras wig finally got here. And without a doubt it needs a wig cap. It kept falling off her head without one. But anyways here's a quick up to date picture of her. I love the wig though, Leekes winter event dark carrot color was just perfect for her hair color and the wig is super soft.

 

I got my Violet in Peach Gold and she looked just awful in her Iplehouse face up.

I seriously considered selling her on but sent her off the spa for a new face up
and now she's awesome.

 

I've been wondering the same thing. I thought Iple was going to make them right after the first of the year. I'm still waiting..... I do like this size, and I thought the CH was a wonderful series to make a couple of the guys, not to mention the clothes.

Added: TomB, I hope you show your girl when you have time.

 

New doll arrival today (the LTF), which meant a bit of a doll family portrait, which means--new Gavin spam (sort of). He's probably the unhappiest of the entire crew! Oh that melancholy boy! I love him anyway . There's a few more on my flickr. He's still not letting go of those Safrindoll nebulas ...

That is a beautiful photo, TomB. It looks as if it were a Monet.....
Her dress is very elegant, and I love the color.

 

Such a lovely wig colour! Our wigs were falling down without the silicone cap as well. It was worse with Leeke wigs than with Iples and it was worse with Alexandra than with Erik - his head circumference is slightly bigger.

 

I own a peach gold Leona I have already posted photos of her in this thread, but anyways here is a little old pic of her to show you (from August 2014):

 

I tried an iple wig on her just to see and she swam in it, and it was one of their 7/8s. The Leeke wig is just slightly too big and a cap took care of the problem. And it is an awesome color! I see their winter event colors this year and went "MUST HAVE!"

 

Oh, I'm in love!!! She is so wonderful. I had tried to search for pics, but that doesn't always work so well. Is she a default faceup? If so, which one? The auction one had under eye coloring that looks like cheap orange concealer to me. Yours is perfect.

Im really interested too see what she might look like in that colour. I think it would suit a character I have ^__^

Ktk8 has a light brown Cordelia. There's a picture in post #722 on this thread

I'm not so sure about ebony though as ebony wasn't offered for quite some time and I haven't seen one on the waiting list. That isn't to say there aren't any, just that they haven't been shared yet

 

And here I was thinking I could wait for a new sculpt AND the Misty Swan set... maybe the Iple-stars will align sometime soon. In the meantime, my wallet is safe.

Because head-size was indeed one of my struggles when selecting a first JID boy. I finally opted for Colin largely because it looked more proportionate. JIDs are supposed to be teeny-boppers, right? Not children. They don't have little-kid bodies... I also wonder how a JID girl head would look on a boy body. If it's more proportionate, that might be a way to go on DC. I do love Leona's face!

Love the dark carrot hue! And your photo sans face-up is quite fetching!

Thanks for posting an example of Peach Gold. Not sure I've ever seen it in person. And as I said above, Leona has caught my eye!

 

I don't find the head size of my Owen too awkward. But maybe I'm biased because I have a large head (yes, have some jokes with that, haha)?

Can I just say, why isn't Vera JID size? OMG she would scale down perfect to be a maturity match for Isar and Violet! Iple I need more JID love ... take it as a sculpting challenge.

Our Dannyboy's SID Giorgio is peach-gold-- very fetching in person. Hard to photograph, because in some light it's more peach-pink and in some light it's more gold. Richer than NS, much lighter than RS.

(Of course, to see it IRL again would mean chasing down Dannyboy for an IRL appearance again, and it is so hard to catch him....)

 

Yea that's his head but I think I was holding it a little more in front of her. I don't think it's really big, a little longer yea but other than that lol I'll try taking another picture to show the difference if you want and yes he will be happier once he has a body and the new custom wig that's in the works for him

I also have my friend Tatiana staying with me for a bit while I make her some new clothes so I'll spam her up here too!

My Leona is in RS, but she finally has clothes (she's been nude since I received her in January!) and I wanted to show them off. (cutejoint your Leona is so pretty!!!)

 

Oh yeah, you're right! But I've kind of forgotten... need to chase him down! Or maybe kidnap Giorgio for awhile...

She's so cute! I like the black snakeskin on her.



And I can answer my own question about a Leona head on a JID boy body. All it took was a coupla minutes on the IH site (duh!). Girl neck: 7.3 cm. Boy neck: 8.5 cm. No deal. I guess one could grind the smaller circumference opening somehow... but maybe not my favorite thing to do to a resin doll.

 

I would be down with kidnapping Danny's Giorgio. My goodness, what a swoony hunk that doll is. (JID Daniel is his little-brother incarnation, btw, so if you ever decided to get a Daniel... Cavegirl be happy...^^ )

If you wanted the Leona badly enough, small head-holes can easily be enlarged by any number of experienced modders who have good tools (our St. James is a wiz)... it's overly-large headholes that are the bigger problem. I would never have the confidence to start carving either, myself, but apparently it is not an apocalyptic job for those with the knowhow!

Hi everyone I get to join in the JID threads now because this weekend I brought home a little lady. She's a JID I on then old body, not sure if she's white or normal resin as she's really yellow and all my normal dolls look super pink next to her. She needed a lot of work when I got her and still needs new strings. So here she is, new faceup by me. This is Rosalie, Rose for short.

Aww Jessica is so cute, she looks totally different from Rosalie! I'm still working on Rose's character, we've gone through so many name changes in the last 48 hours.

for me Jess told me her full name within a week and all at once (Jessica Reylene Kayle) and ya and all sooooo different too... One of the reasons I love these stupid things

 

Yeah that's my favorite part, seeing how different everyone's dolls turn out to be. Even the same sculpt with the same faceup can be so different with a change of eyes and wig. I can't believe the difference in Rosalie from when I first saw her at the expo to now. She looks like a completely different doll!

Been awhile since I've posted, but here's Aiyana, my Tatiana.
I was going to reskin her in Peach Gold but after the release of Violet she may be getting a full reshell in the upcoming year. That mature face too strong ahah

 

Ahh, it's been probably a good two years since I posted here! I just wanted to stop in and say hi, everyone's dolls look so lovely! So many new sculpts .

Elena got herself a haircut, finally. It's been about six years or so in coming. There is nothing like a new wig to totally transform a doll. I'm having a hard time getting the color to show up, though. It's Leeke's real carrot, and it's so light in person.

So many beautiful dolls! I love it! I've been here, lurking, I haven't been playing with my dolls much and haven't had much to say. But I wanted to post on update on the Tania head I acquired a little while ago. She has a name now, it's Calanthe, and she's shared a bit of her story with me. She is a dragon like Alex and Fedora, but she is one of the ancient dragons that represent the 4 seasons. She's Spring. I have winter already, the doll that was supposed to be Fedora originally is now male and goes by Tempest and represents Winter. Part of their job is to change the seasons, and I'm still figuring the rest out.

Anyways Calanthe has a proper wig now so I wanted to share an updated picture of her. I love, love, LOVE, this wig, though I'm still playing with keeping the bangs out of her face. It's one of Leekeworlds art wigs, this one is called Hello Spring.

When you go to the IPLE BJD page (you need to be logged in), you will see that Iple's newest doll story/preview will be for J.I.D Edwin (even though there is Owen's picture etc. at the moment).
New JID boy coming soon, it seems! Finally.

i agree, with our exchange rate right now , it's taking a lot longer to save up for new dolls! so i hope if he is great that he at least isn't limited so i have a chance...

 

I'm hoping he's wonderful, because Daniel really needs a best bud. (Not to mention my 3 girls, who are sharing one boyfriend.) On the other hand, I need a little more time to save up the money. I thought I had made 2 sales on EB, but it turned out to be one buyer who created two accounts, made the purchases and cancelled the accounts. EB cancelled the orders, I re-listed, a day later the same buyer created a new account and tried again with only one doll. Today I see another "sale" for the second doll, also from a brand new account. If any of these were a real sale, I'd have the ready cash to buy JID Edwin. As it is, someone is just trying to pull a fast one.

You'd better believe I am not sending anything to this buyer. So far it's not an issue, seeing as no money has come forward. I spoke with someone at EB yesterday who said I can block the person's country (China) from my Global Shipping. I can also file an "unpaid item request" after 2 days. There also appears to be an option to cancel the sale.

You can find the place holder for the new JID boy by logging in to Iplehouse, then going to Iple BJD. The first photo under Iple Doll Story is JID Owen, with the name JID Edwin beneath it. The Concept of Doll and Head Detail sections show Owen, the Style Review is blank. They've done this before when they have a new doll coming. They'll fill in with Edwin's particulars once they're ready, probably closer to the time when Vera's sale period ends.

 

Sweet, I wonder what he is going to look like? Maybe a mature mini of Arvid would be nice.

Thank you! Yes the dragons for the 4 seasons kind of came by on accident. They weren't originally part of Alex's story, but then I got a DollZone Yan head that was supposed to be Fedora, Alex's girl friend, and as soon as I got that head out of the back I knew that head was not Fedora, so that head got a gender switch, and an new ID, and somehow ended up being Tempest, or Winter. Then I was trying to figure out what to do with this Tania head and she just looked dragon like to me so she become Spring lol.

Your girl is beautiful! I would take full body shots of Calanthe except she has to use Fedora's body which is peach gold and she's Normal skin lol. I use the hoodie to cover most of the skin on the body when I take pictures.

No, you're not the only one! I thought of him looking like a mixture of Daniel/Jerome/Kolin at first - when I saw make A pictures. And then I saw make B pictures - and immediately thought of Claude. I wish he look more mature. But as I actually was one of those who begged them for a JID Claude I think I should get him anyway... even if I don't need any more dolls at all. But as he's basic - I can wait till Christmas event - I kind of used to get a couple of dolly these time of year (love their "DC for basic price" event - and coupons too). I screw up so badly with it last year I decided to bring in "no dolls this year" rule and I was so afraid they make a limited boy with gorgeous limited outfit and force me to broke the new rule... But they were kind enough not to do so! And I also hope to see some owner pictures till then!

 

Agreed. I feel really disappointed. He is cute (... well, for me, his A type face up and clothes are cute but the RS version, not so much...), but - really, Iple? This is how you reply to the "mature guy" demands? Also, he is not something I would want for myself, even as a younger boy. He would not fit in, I think.

There may be a time in the very near future, where I find myself at home without male JIDs. Please Iple, release another guy? More mature looking, maybe?

But I think the Asian market (which is huge) prefers the younger looking JID? Just guessing here, but I think I heard something like that somewhere...

 

Edwin is a good match for a stage of my Eve's development. But I also have a KID and YID version in mind so thankfully as he is a basic, Edwin can wait a little while. Unfortunately as he isn't the mature JID I had originally hoped for, Asa will have to wait a little longer for her boy toy and make do with GF Cordie when she arrives in the next few weeks

 

Ooo forever what YID and KID do you have planned for Eve? (PS Eve is my mom's name haha)
