@Saphariel thanks! She's beautiful beyond my expectations in that skintone! I fell in love.

 

The problem with Raccoon and Iplehouse toddlers is the head size. They're larger than FID heads. You'd be better off with a FairyLand PukiFee, whose head size is the same as FID. The problem with Pukis in any size, of course, if that they have elf ears, but at least in the PukiFee the ears are understated. Here are Grace and PukiFee Rin again:

 

Yoona and Jae Jin have no plans for children but the neighbors in the dollhouse in the next room let them babysit Yu Ping sometimes. She is the smallest Ruby Red Galleria doll and not resin.or a bjd (jointed but no elastic). Her arms are not jointed but her legs are.

I don't have any Raccoon dolls, but I do have Iplehouse FIDs and BIDs, which are similar in size to both Racoon versions, so you can see how they would likely look together ....

 

We interrupt these children to bring you a poorly-lit FID Harace! I'm hoping to get her photographed during better light tomorrow.

I got my girl puppy today. Her name is Chin (Precious in Korea). She is Jae Jin's surprise for Yoona. Puppies definitely work with the FIDs. YAY!

Saphariel, congrats on the arrival of your gorgeous Harace! Wow, spectacular.

I think a colored resin sure makes a difference. Iplehosue 'missed the boat' by making the outfit white and the resin too. A resin skin contrast sure makes the outfit and doll so amazing. IMO if they wanted to do the white resin, make the outfit from a colored fabric, the white on white was well...'washed out'


I am sharing some 6 mm glass eyes I just received from Dollmore. I really like this color and size for Aurora, it is CC-04, sort of a green/gray color.

@petiteballerine I got a lot of "just in case" colors with my last Safrin order. She is gPG and has an Iple faceup with altered brows and mouth. I'm also hoping for a free shipping event... so I can get another Harace. I'm thinking gray with a pink faceup.

No kidding @LaurieESW re: the colored resin. I'm sure she'd look even better in SR or LB against all that white. White on white was kind of blinding and didn't show off the outfit's detail. Aurora looks great in her new eyes. The search for good eyes in this size is never-ending.

@LaurieESW I really like the Dollmore eyes and have a number of them in my Raccoons and FIDs. But I do wish they had more color choices.

My Vanessa, Glenna, came yesterday and I'm thrilled with her. She has DreamingTree eyes in her as they fit her eye walls better plus I like the color.

 

Congrats! She is so beautiful! Those are really nice eyes for her.

By the way Dollmore has 10 colors of one style and 5 of another, in 6 mm. 8 mm only has 5. I thought Dollmore might have restocked recently because I thought I remember looking before and there not being so many choices. The style that has ten has two shades of blue (blue and cobalt), two shades of brown (brown and hazel), two shades of violet (light and dark), two shades of gray (light and dark), two shades of green (green-gray and green). The other style has two blue, green, violet and brown.

 

I love seeing the new arrivals! @Saphariel your Harace is lovely and I especially like the violet eyes! @Patrice S your Glenna is stunning! I hope my Vanessa is as lovely as yours when she arrives. Seeing your gal is making the wait harder, but the final layaway payment will be made this week.

I recently ordered 8 pair of Dreaming Tree eyes for my Naraes and I am hoping they will work for my Vanessa. If not I can order more as the Dreaming Tree eyes are so reasonably priced.

Brown hair and pink top is an awesome choice for her! She also looks much more mature than Iplehouse's photos, which I love! Congratulations on her arrival!

I agree. If it were possible to put a JID head on an FID body, the proportions would be perfect. Maybe the new BID body would work better, but that still leaves their bigger heads. Although that could also be minimized if the BID had a close-fitting hairstyle, and the FID had a large pouffy wig. In the end it's all about personal preference. And how one photographs them. If the BIDs were further back in the scene, they'd look smaller. I should try that!

@Sillion Harace is glow peach gold. The light was just too poor to show it off!

@eldarling Harace is on the med bust original body. If I was going to have her in that skimpy outfit, I wanted the curvy body. Clearly this Aphrodite does sit-ups.

Future!Lawrence will be Paris, but I’m not sure about Helen. Maybe Harace will play both. I love the idea of shelling those characters, but I loathe lonely dolls!

Recently, there were some various opinion about the new LB color.

So we are writing this notice to let you know about our resolution.

Some customers prefer bright tone. But there were some customers who prefer darker tone to bright one.

Actually for last 2~3 years, we sometimes tried to adjust the standard of LB color slightly.

Now, we've decided to offer both colors to solve this issue.


On October 17th, 2018, we are going to add the name <Light Brown> and <Dark Brown> as color options.


Please be aware that the former you already did (have no options offered) would not be offerd color selection.


The color will be produced in dark LB color.

I hope they upload some resin comparison photos. So I'm guessing my recent light brown bichun is now what they are calling dark brown if any previous orders will be produced in the dark brown...

 

I hope they keep offering ebony, even if it's sporadic. I rather fancy a vampire Claude in that color.
but, I can fancy all I please, not going to fill the bank account this year.

I hope they will upload some resin examples and comparisons, of these two resin colors.
From how I understand it, yes the light brown from the past year or two will be the color called 'dark brown' starting tomorrow.

I'm gearing up for a FID order in December! But I have some questions, and I wonder if you lovely folks could help me.

Are the "glow" resins translucent? I may end up wanting to do some additive mods, so avoiding translucency would help with that.

Does anyone have a good head turn-around of FID Oscar? I think he's probably the closest to my OC's design, as his face isn't as pointed as most of them, but I'd be very grateful for some photos of his face from different angles.

Anyways, sorry for not commenting, will read after this, but I got a question: I'm looking at IH's shoes and now they have nothing but resin shoes. I would think that they'd be a great cheap alternative to real shoes, but they're more expensive! Why would I want to buy resin shoes when I can have realistic real shoes for LESS??? I don't get it?!?!?!

 

I think there is some sort of time limit on the notice drop down. I check the watched threads link at least once a day and frequently find one I haven't seen.

I really love that light brown color, but how much more is it in price compared to the darker brown and ebony?

 

@derilan85 Light brown and dark brown are the same price, ebony is the most expensive

In order of most expensive skintones:
1.Ebony
2. Glow Special Real
3. Glow Peach Gold
4. Dark Brown and Light Brown
5. Glow White and Glow Normal
6. Special Real
7. Gray
8. Peach Gold
9. White and Normal

Im hoping to see the new FIDs soon, there was news of them coming mid october so I hope they come with cool clothes like the Isabel and Dane release, wishing for a Doria release!

I received my FID Aaliyah back today from the face-up artist. I really like the face-up but realize now these are not 'her' eyes. While she was a away I received some hazel and green eyes. Hopefully later today I will have time to switch them out.

 

@oriscany - I 2d the request for glow lt. brown! wonder why they stopped offering it. I like having different skin colors in my mini crew. + the glows are hardier and more uv resistant. they're really beautiful.

 

I had some time this afternoon to try out some other eye colors for Aaliyah. I tried some Glib, 'Real Hazel' which I did not like as much as I like these in the photo. Both pair of hazel colored eyes are from Dollmore. These are labeled as CC-10, and size 6 mm.
I also thought the darker shirt might not be the best choice for her coloring, planning on something for her from this blue velvet.

@Saphariel I ordered her blank, I love to make face ups to my dolls myself. I definitely can understand You have more than one Harace in different skin colours I hope I'll be able to order one in SD size one day.
