    3. Where did you purchase eyes with small iris? I dislike big iris in dolls eyes. I much prefer smaller. It's really hard to determine iris size due to many listing just giving the eyeball diameter.

      • x 1
    4. I ordered custom from Ashuradark. I couldn't get my 8/3s to fit because they were just too small for my level of dexterity, so I ordered 10/3s. That said, sherrieneilson1 on Etsy also has small iris eyes, if you pick the "custom" type (clay) instead of resin.

    11. @nancy_schroeder_ca - Thank you. He's actually wearing a combination of things, first his own black and gold outfit, then his purple royal robe, and Matias' armour. I wanted to see if it would fit him since Lawrence has the IH Muscle body, which is similar in size to the SJ Athletic body.

      @IngieBee - Thank you.

@BrigitteJ - Thank you so much. He's my favourite of all my Fashion sized men.

    12. Head's up for anyone looking to buy shoes from Iplehouse right now: I bought a couple pairs labeled as fitting FID males since the discount was so good and half of my dolls are shoeless. One of the pairs, while labeled as what I ordered, is actually the JID size of the same shoe (aka just small enough it doesn't actually fit FID). I contacted Iplehouse about it, and they said they got in a whole order labeled the wrong size. Since I have a JID as well, I figured I'm not gonna worry about getting reimbursement or an exchange; they're actually the perfect style for him, and I had planned on having him borrow them anyway since the sizing is so close. But it definitely still wasn't a nice surprise, and would have been even worse if I didn't have a doll they fit.

The shoes in question: ITEM VIEW : FID - M - IHS_FM10 (Gray)

I have no idea if any other shoe styles have the same problem, but just wanted everyone to have a head's up in case you were planning to order some of these. They're not on sale anymore, but a few other shoes and wigs still are.

    13. I bought Harace of ebay last year and she's been so difficult to get right, but I'm finally happy with her look! Elle I bought last year from a lovely member here and she finally has a face up!

    15. Does Iplehouse still have their FIDs available every two months? So they are available this month and then again in July, is that correct?

    16. @LyanneNZ thanks so much!

Does anyone have pictures of Miho and Aliyah? They're on my wishlist. I used to have Aliyah but I sold her years ago :atremblin

    19. Does anyone have a FID Bibianne and a JID Violet they'd be so kind to photograph together? With consideration of the different head sizes, I've been wanting to compare the sculpts beside each other for a character.... I'm more used to regular msd scale, so I'm considering violet as an alternative, but bibianne enchanted me originally!

Add sculpt to list of want to buys...

      • x 1
    25. @MaleficentMrsofEvil Sorry for the delay in replying! Yes, this is one I painted :) My Mum knitted the sweater, for my CED dolls years ago now so it's a little large for our FID dolls but it works. Raffine is definitely lovely in person. It's funny, she is not one that I immediately would pick and yet in both small and large size they are ones that I have loved painting and enjoy photographing too. Yes she should be on your wish list haha

Extra photo of her while you write her sculpt name down ;)

    26. @LyanneNZ - oh my. She is going on my WTB list. She is so stunning. I love her. Thank you!

    27. To anyone who ordered and received FIDs in the last few months, is the 60 to 90-making period how long you waited for your doll? Or is it longer than that?

      • x 1
    28. @PinkBear - not FIDs, but I have ordered from Iplehouse pretty frequently.
Pet doll puma, blank - 60 days.
Doll Choice normal resin Elle, blank - 60 days.

My experience has been that if I order blank dolls, Iplehouse has a quick turnaround. Face-ups delay the process significantly.

I can't remember if Iplehouse told me directly, but I've read in a couple places that their in-house face-up artist left, and they have to contract out face-ups now, which means they have to ship the head to someone else to get the face-up done.

    29. @MaleficentMrsofEvil Thank you so much for answering my question and for that info on the faceups. This was so helpful!

    30. Rania has been released in FID size, she is stunning! Are the FID's included in the summer sale?

      • x 2
    31. Oh no, that's terrible news. For my bank account that is.

Rania was the one sculpt I always adored but she was both too big and also sold out when I got into this hobby. In fact, it was in this thread that I said if they came out with an FID Rania I would buy it.

I really really hope they are included in the summer sale now.

      • x 2
    32. Ooh that will be tempting if the FIDs are marked down for the summer sale! I wasn't intending to get one anytime soon, but I do want another boy on the muscle body (so I have all the boy sizes to sew for!), so if the boys are marked down I might reconsider!

      • x 2
    33. I love Rania 's outfit and I'm so excited that's it's available separately! I hope there is a male counterpart released to go with it. I'm wondering if I should wait for a male version or if I should order soon in case it's only a limited quantity or something....

      • x 3
    34. Seeing Rania get an FID version made me wonder if Scarlet (my Doria's character's big version) will get mini-fied eventually. Not holding out on much hope for that though, since she's prolly not the most in-demand sculpt around.

But speaking of my Doria, she finally got her first decent photoshoot. We powered through bad weather in one of our local historical sites, but the camera was really kind to her!

    35. She's so beautiful!!! I love her wig so much - such a fierce girl!!!

In other news - the FID aren't included in the sale.
Ugh, it feels unfair - and they're never included in the free head specials they've had for all the other sizes, either! I guess they count them in the "special" dolls category, like the Creea. It just feels unfair as they're really popular and available all the time now, why can't they be counted as a "basic" doll?

      • x 4
    36. While disappointed that Iple still aren't icluding FIDs in their sale events, I couldn't resist. Rania is coming to live here

    37. Hello good doll folk, I’m currently trying to settle my indecisive mind on my next doll, but I’m afraid I need some comparison help

I was hoping someone here would be able to tell/show me if the Iplehouse FID heads will fit the JID body (both for boys)? I love the FID head sculpts, but the character I want him for is rather slim and would look better with the JID Model body. Alternatively, does the FID head fit in a Minifee boy body?

      • x 1
    38. I put my FID Lawrence head on one of my JID boy bodies because I needed a man with similar proportions to two old art dolls. The JID body was the right size for an adult with the two kids, but an FID head was better scale.
However, it was only temporary for that one particular photo shoot.

    39. thank you so, so much ❤️ he looks great :D
do you know if I can order a doll like that right from Iplehouse or do I have to buy one JiD and one FiD, and then sell the spare parts on my own? .-.

      • x 1
    40. You'll have to buy two separate dolls. But if "slim" is what you're looking for, then what about a Model FID? They are taller than a JID, but otherwise the same 'thickness'. My Model FID guys can share clothes with my JID guys. Here's Baron in the same outfit in the previous photo...

    41. I agree. The FID model body is what I would recommend. And no need to make a hybrid.

    51. Does anyone here have a Ron? I keep looking at the photos on the website every week and wondering if maybe I want to bring him home, but I don't know if his head is too small. I have a Heeah at home who has roughly a 6" head (6-7" wigs are too big for her, 5-6" are too small, sob...). Are the FID guys fairly consistent in their head sizes, or is there a variation?

      • x 1
    52. I have one. His head is rather small, but not so much that it´s offputting for me. He´s wearing a 5-6 Monique wig, they fortunately stretch quiet alot. Unfortunately the company does not exist anymore. 6-7 would be way too big for him. But I love him!

    53. I am back yet again with another conundrum

For a long time I’ve been looking for a good replacement sculpt for my old Soom Dia boy, but in 1/4 scale, and I think the FID Stella could work pretty well. Obviously I can’t use the FID girl body since it’s suppose to be a guy, so I was wondering if anyone here has ever successfully hybridized an FID girl in terms of resin color and body size? From what I’ve been able to gather, Ringdoll NS is pretty close to Iplehouse WS, but that’s the only color I’ve been able to match so far nevermind if the size will fit

      • x 1
    54. I feel like I've seen a hybrid with a Doria head, but when I looked all I could find was one in SD size, so I guess I was mistaken. I'm also pretty sure I've sold FID girl heads to people who were going to make boy hybrids, but I don't know what ever became of them, which is unhelpful to you! I've made a fair few hybrids, but not that particular one sadly, and I think the important things are looking at the height (too short will look silly, and also if you want to match other dolls it's important) and neck size - too big a neck and it will look stupid and you'll have to mod it, which might not work, too small and the head will keep flopping down. Also - too childish a body with a mature head looks wrong!

In terms of resin match - I found the Iplehouse NS is similar to Souldoll, however, I thought the body was a bit short - I tried a Raccoondoll girl head on the boy body (picture below, in the middle next to a complete Iplehouse boy on the right).
Raccoondoll girl heads are slightly smaller than FID girl heads too. So I thought I'd post that so you could see how it looks! Otherwise - probably depends on what style body you want? Dream Valley have a lot of slim but tall MSD bodies, and so does Dollzone. Maybe if you say if you want a tall, muscley body or what sort of style/height, people might have some more ideas? (Or I might have. I am WAY too devoted to making hybrids!)
I have a whole pinterest board of bodies I was considering for my Raccoondoll girl head/boy body hybrid here: https://au.pinterest.com/mbailey0570/doll-reference/raccoondoll-boy-hybrid-body-reference/
Hope that gives you some ideas?
Oh! And I just realised I did in fact try the FID Doria head on the Souldoll boy body here: https://au.pinterest.com/pin/354588170660553027/ - I forgot I did that! It doesn't look too bad? White skin head on a NS body though, so not much help for resin matching.
Hope at least some of that helps!

      • x 2
    55. I’m trying to recreate my Soom Dia/Feeple hybrid boy in 1/4 scale, and so far the FID Stella head is the best contender for the head I’ve been able to find

he’s supposed to be a slender boy without looking like a child, if that helps? Spiritdoll and Ringdoll have some really nice bodies that match the visual vibe I want, but they don’t make them in 1/4 scale I have considered using a Minifee body, but while I love them a lot, but I would like this doll to be a bit taller

      edit:
The Souldoll bodies are super nice, but they are virtually impossible to get a hold of at the moment; Souldoll currently has a backlog of orders going back over a year, and I really do not want to deal with that .-.
