    2. Actually, they don't look right to me with the larger dolls, so it shouldn't have been a surprise for me. KIDs look 6-10 years old, and they should be 2/3 the size of an aduult at that point IMO, and they're more like 1/2. I wish the JIDs looked more in proportion because they could easily be early teens :) Of course, mine are all painted like adults :doh I need to change that... soon.

    6. IngieBee once they planned to make an iple teen doll but then maybe crashed that idea and went on with FID. Never heared anything back from them anymore. I think they should be around 52cm like a dollmore Zaoll to be children of the big dolls

Some smaller heads to place on the JID body is all that's needed but then it would cause confusion I guess, and people would buy it and complain that the head was too small and didn't match their other JIDs But that's OK, I still love my JIDs but since Iple has made FIDs I want to change them to youthful kids :) When I got them, they were the most mature looking MSDs, and I like mature dolls for some reason, always have. I suppose as a kid, I wanted to "see myself" grown up, and the Ideal Chrissy was the most mature doll, so I envied my sister's whereas I got a Velvet, LOL. I loved Velvet but wanted Chrissy, LOL She was a "teen"

      Maybe it's still the same thing. I'm old and fat, and want to express fashion and style through my dolls. I wear sweats and a t-shirt and my girls wear organza ball gowns with stiletto heels, LOL.

    10. @IngieBee I agree! I've always looked for mature dolls as well! I used to wear a lot of costumes myself but now I've had some kids and a busy career so I'm happy to have dolls to vicariously wear the sort of things that I just don't have time to make for myself and I'd have no place to wear them to now anyway!

    11. for me the aethletic body for the men is still a no-go. I really don´t like it in person- i see that it looks good in pics of course but the aesthetic in real life looks different to me. That´s just my personal taste and I don´t wish to be rude in any way- as I say: not my taste. Not my personal one in real life.
      When Lawrence was released i ordered him in a heartbeat. I opened the box and within half of a second i knew am gonna sell him. And I did. I think I have never seen a guy like that in real life. Where the neck is nearly thicker than the head. Well. one I know. Dwayne Johnson but I find him... lets say it in nice words "not pretty".

      I think the proportions of my Eid Lawrence are better than the fid muscular one
      Was discussing with a friend today and I think its cause the neck is so thick at the upper end that - for me- it still looks pinheaded.

      And the worst was Bliss on the aethletic body- that was really (she had medium bust) Oh- your head is the size of your boops. Okay... goodbye- and she left

    12. Oh gosh, that's just SO DANG CUTE!!!

      @greeneyed-soul , is the aesthetic body something new? I'm sorry those didn't work out :( , that's a real frustrating experience. I have the original only boys, and one original, one slimmer newer girl. I am not keeping up with things, so I don't know if they have a new line of bodies??

      @skyealloway yah, I can see that! I love making medieval clothing, and they wear it well :D But I haven't made anything as amazing as @MB Lilac 's costumes, OMGosh!

    13. IngieBee this is what Bliss looked like in real life [​IMG]

      to me it looks pinheaded. I am not like a Barbie and even that i got a bit fat on my body and about the same bustsize as her my own head does not looks so pinheaded. As i sayed- personal preference. And the legs to me look too muscular too, so I like the slim body a lot more.
      I bought Rexy on the curvy body and her head was like "let´s squeeze the face into an egg"- and even this egg was too small. I hope that Bibiane will be perfect as am waiting since a long time for her. She was planned to get released in the last christmas event but now its gonna take longer due to the virus and such- I hope she is worth the waittime

      on the guys- of course it makes more sence to have a muscular vibe but still: i don´t like this aesthetic. I like the slim body a lot more. I had Oscar on the slim but somehow he did not work for what I had in mind. Think it makes a difference which headsize they shrink down as the head of my Fid Mari is bigger than the one of Bliss was

    14. Hum, she does look a bit small in the head?? Seems like my Clair and Aaliyah are bigger, but it might be the effect of the photograph? I don't know. It is weird looking when coming from other BJDs originally. But, I'm quite used to them now, and even your picture doesn't look wrong to my eye, especially with no hair. But I totally get it, if it's not working for you. I remember getting my Chic-line dolls from Fairyland and thinking WOW, those heads are small! LOL. And compared to FIDs, they are small!

    15. IngieBeei photographed her from this angle to show how it looks like photographing her like she looks in real life- and this is the problem. When I had FID Mari on the aethletic body i always did the "hair over one shoulder-trick" without even recognizing as she looked pinheaded, too. But Bliss and Rexy were the worst

      LyanneNZ, your Miho is so beautiful and elegant! I am loving her fresh outfit too.

      Greeneyed-soul, I do agree that some heads seem to be smaller than others. My Yur and Mari definitely have slightly larger heads than my two Veras, and need their respective bodies accordingly. I don't know why Iplehouse have made them like this? For me, Mari is absolute perfection - I totally and completely adore her. She's almost stand-alone for me, though now she has Yur as a good friend. Below is a comparison picture (warning, NUDITY), L to R: Yur (ns, athletic body, small bust), Mari (ns, athletic body, medium bust), Vera (ns, curvy body, small bust), Lawrence (rs, muscular body), Vera (pg, curvy body, small bust). Lawrence is also perfection for me, I adore him too. He is my bear of a man compared to the girls. To me, Vera's head size suits the more petite curvy body, and would also suit the slim body too, though I haven't got one of those yet.

    25. That lineup is really helpful...they are all lovely. You make me consider the curvy body which I hadn't before...I can just see those curves in a slinky, fitted dress. I agree that some sculpts suit the various body sizes. That's interesting about Mari's vs Vera's sculpts/head sizes. I like both of those sculpts...always looking to add more to my wish list haha!

      Olga the white lace gown is really pretty and delicate!

    39. There seems to be an issue- hopefully a glitch - with the iple shipping fee

      you just can chose EMS Premium now. I tried with Ada as i like her but now the shipping for her is 210$ and for a FID its 170$ and you can just chose premium shipping. The normal one is gone and there is just one Zone, Zone3 left.

      If it stays like this I fear this could be the end of Iplehouse cause - sorry- but for this high amount of shipping fee I won´t worder. I sold a lot of stuff, still waiting to get Bibiane for that money when she is finally released. But if i have to pay 170$ in shipping fee.....
      This was for Doria- when I put Tedros into the cart it was 160$ which also makes no sence
      I don´t see a comma between Netherlands and Norway

    42. IngieBee someone on facebook living in Korea told, that there is a too little amount of commercial flights to put all the parcels into what Korea exports. But DHL for example has its own air freight and so the are independet of the usual flightplan. Sartoriaj uses FedEx so there shoud be a way, in case it´s true

      I ordered an FID a few days ago, on the 23rd, and EMS was still an option then, and I was charged the usual $50.

    45. All my orders from SartoriaJ are EMS (to US). Jay told me Fedex and DHL were too expensive. My package took 14 days to get here in July.

      Pygmalion just told me the same last night.

    46. lately Sartoriaj still offered FedEx and free shipping on the 51cm guys- so how can they do that if its really that much expensive?
      I think this could be the end of a lot of doll companies in Korea cause if shipping is so much expensive no one would order. I checked Raccoondoll today and shipping is still about 48$ to Germany.

      The only thing they could do is to charge the shipping fee like it is now and refund when it gets better but as we can not see if it does or not its kind of insecure. Cause everyone would hope it goes down again but we don´t have a gurantee

    47. There is however a typhoon today and the US Embassy has closed so there may be a delayed answer from Iplehouse.

      Maybe they have a Fedex arrangement since the new dolls. They didn't in July.

    50. @greeneyed-soul This is really harsh! I've ordered FID woman few days ago and the shipping was still the regular 50 USD back then. But I have also placed a layaway for another FID woman even few days earlier, so I'm really worried what about them. I seem to be ready to wait until this shipping situation settles as I'm in no way willing to pay USD 160 for shipping! This is ridiculous and the sellers should figure it out, otherwise their business might be threatened. Come on, who is ready to pay USD 160 or even 210 only for shipping!!
      Just for illustration, I have a large bjd from another seller on the way and she shipped all the delayed orders by EMS premium FOR FREE. Which means, she wouldn't do that if it wasn't still worth for her.

    51. Sillion I really hope am gonna get an info tomorrow and hopefully a "we worked at our homepage and then it seems there was an issue". Cause they would have needed to post an information about this in the notice-sector like they did when the Corona-madness started. To Germany it was fine during march when they shipped my order from the christmas event. No idea why there was an issue in the Netherlands- neighbourcountry of Germany should not have issues as this makes no sence to me. A girl that ordered a BID got the info, they can just use premium EMS.
      I really hope we can take a breath tomorrow as this was a mistake. And it makes no sence that a fid girl is more expensive in shipping than a fid guy
      so lets cross fingers - I would love to finish a project but if shipping stays like this.... rob a bank or don´t place an order

Well, I've been waiting on an order since December, but they say the only way they can ship to Australia at the moment is with the more expensive shipping (Premium EMS I think?), so I can either pay an extra $70 USD on top of the shipping I already paid for pre-pandemic, or wait and hope the situation improves. So far I've been waiting, because that's a lot of money that I didn't factor in - might not have ordered in the first place if I'd known it was going to be that much - but who knows how long it might take for the situation to improve?

      It does seem a bit unfair though when other companies are apparently managing to ship things out just fine?!

      Damn it, I just really want my dolls! :(

    54. It appears the regular EMS shipping option is working again (at least for me). I'm in the US and when I tried the cart a minute ago it allowed me to choose regular EMS shipping again and it was back the the "normal" price for me. Hopefully that means it was just a glitch in their system.

    60. That's good to read. But it doesn't change the fact that to some countries, including mine, the regular EMS still is not available as @morganatron mentioned. To that I would like to add more precisely, that not only Supia shipped my and other's delayed orders via EMS Premium for NO extra fee at all, but the same with Raccoon Doll few weeks ago - at first they suggested Premium in case we paid additional 50 USD but after a friend wrote them an email saying that this is not much of customer-friendly behaviour they decided to ship our dolls with Premium for free. Because these were the conditions under which we placed our orders during the event and the korona situation is not our fault either. These dolls are expensive stuff so I suppose some more friendly approach to customers would be appropriate.
