Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 11

May 21, 2020

    1. Thanks. I had lot of fun doing it.

    2. This feast with toast is just wonderful - a still from a movie, a memory from a past life. <3

    3. @MB Lilac The eldest son is very lucky to have such a large and wonderful family and home!

    4. @petiteballerine - Thank you. Here's today's whole post - A Toast
@nancy_schroeder_ca - Thanks. He sure is. He mostly has his red hair to thank, since that's why I chose him in the first place - to match Lawrence's auburn hair. I'm just glad I tried putting my KIDs and BIDs with my FIDs. It makes for some fun storylines.

    5. Great banquet scene! I'd love to see the kitchen staff hard at work preparing it. They must have an amazing pastry chef to make all those fabulous savory creations.

      • x 1
    6. I think the chef's name is Martha.

      • x 5
    7. LOL. I did take a photo of one of my dolls preparing it all - back in January for another Medieval banquet - but she is a JID, so off topic here.

    8. @MB Lilac - These photos are a true feast...for our eyes! :XD:

    9. @luluna Love that ponytail wig so much!

@MB Lilac Joining in the praise for all that fabulous food, wow!

A bit more of my Lahela for the thread. If feels like there aren't terribly many FID Lahelas around, doesn't it? Am I just not seeing them?

    10. Very nice Lahela! I am a big fan of the Lahela sculpt. I have one in FID size but I'd love more ;)

    11. @rianne - Lovely Lahela! I know for me...I haven't gotten around to a FID Lahela in part because I have several in SD size. :whee: But hopefully someday I'll get to add one.

@LyanneNZ - Another awesome Lahela....and how you guys work on the smaller faceups...I just don't know. I applaud you both!

(As I sit and stare at a blank Rex head I need to faceup.:doh)

    12. Two gorgeous Lahelaโ€™s and both so different. Would love to add her to my little family.

    14. They look so young!

    15. Lovely couple...you have even positioned her eyes to side glance...so pretty! Stylish denims too! :)

    16. @rianne and @LyanneNZ Both your Lahelas are beautiful. She is one of the most lovely FIDs from Iple, imo.

@Maria Your couple looks so natural, and I just love their style! James` wig really suits him!

    17. All these Lahelas are so beautiful!

    18. Love your young couple Maria, they look like characters from a movie. Wonderful picture quality too! Didi you make their wigs?

    19. Wish I could give that photo more than one Like, @Maria. They look so tender together. Very pretty couple.

    20. @LyanneNZ Omg yes, another redhead!

@luluna Omg, multiple big lahelas :love

      @sisen Yes, join us, haha!

@Olga Borontova Thank you so much!

@Maria they're so sweet, and I adore your clothing. <3

@Ashemanu They really translated her beautifully to the smaller scale.

Bit of my pinup babe carina. I need to give my miho some attention soon too.

    21. @rianne Your Carina is stunning.

    22. I am also waiting for Bibiane and asked Iplehouse if she would be released in August. I got this answer.:(
I hope she will be her before Christmas...

"Originally we planned to release FID Bibiane in August, the current production situation was too busy, so it was inevitably delayed. Launching in August is difficult and may take several months.
      We are sorry,
      Iplehouse"

I is so many beautiful photo's here that I can not comment on all of them.)

    23. @Olga Borontova and @Patrice S Thank you guys!

@Zinna at least we know that means they do have some concrete plans for her! I'd have waited for a holiday sale anyway, so fingers crossed for a winter release.

    24. :...(:...(:...(
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I've been saving my money to buy an August Bibiane!!!:...(:...(:...(

    25. Hi all, I have a question concerning layaway. It's my first time a put a doll (FID Elle in light brown) on layaway as I've always paid in full to the day. The doll production begins after the last payment or after the first payment? I.e. the 60 days of production counts since the day of first payment or of the last payment? And, can I possibly pay earlier than the dates given by the automatic payment profile or it's impossible and I have to stick with the prescribed dates? Oooh, it's been only few minutes and it's already a torture
@Maria what a beautiful couple! Makes me wanting a Baron too but I'm so unable to sew men's clothing :...(

    26. @Sillion - Oh I'm not good about layaway questions because I don't do the automatic payments...I think they start making your doll sometime after the second or right at the third payment. I'm sure it varies due to what sculpt and how much of an order there is for it and mold use...I've had dolls ship shortly after my third payment and I've had them delayed a month after the third payment. It's a crap shoot. LOL

And as Elle is one of my favorites...here is my Phoenix, who usually is in her Warrior garb...but I just had to finally put someone in this awesome outfit made by Martha Boers that I've had for awhile...:XD:

    27. @luluna Thanks for sharing of your experience! And your Phoenix is sooo cool, I love her badass face expression and actually she is one of the reasons I wanted to add Elle to my collection too! And actually, she looks equally great in this costume as in the armour.

    28. I love all the photos being posted in this thread! Everyone's FID's seem so impeccably dressed!

Speaking of FID Elle (in light brown), here's mine having MLM/WLW solidarity brunch. Her character is strong but friendly, and I picked her for her resemblance to her original Barbie incarnation, but she'll be getting a faceup that's a little warmer.

I love her, she's gorgeous, but her posing is so frustrating - no rotation in the arms and the hips don't stay at all. She's the only one of my dolls that requires actually effort just to sit up without falling flat on her back. Would stringing the legs super-tight help? Should I take that little "tooth" piece (which seems totally useless besides making a sound when you bend her legs) out to suede the joint? My instinct is to take a dremel to her to give her regular hip slots/channels (as I did for my Soulkid) but she's not an inexpensive doll and I don't want to jump into that.

    29. Oh, be still my heart! I forgot they made an FID Carina! Oh boy! She's a stunner! And so are everyone else's dolls, just gorgeous. I need to take pictures, as usual, LOL

    30. @luluna I'm so jealous I should have bought one of those outfits when they were available. She looks great

    31. @Sillion - Oh my thank you! I'm happy to enable anyone to get an Elle.:XD: I hope you enjoy her when she arrives. She can get that badass look quite easily...She is a fun sculpt.

      [IMG]Phoenix by luluna33, on Flickr

@Glace Leau - Your Elle is lovely! And even though she was frustrating to maneuver, I think you got her into a great pose.:) I hear that sueding with hot glue helps.

@skyealloway - Thank you so much! It's a wondrous outfit!:whee: I was lucky to get this one second hand...so maybe there is hope for you also.:)

    32. So many lovely dolls! It's making me excited to get my Bichun, my first ever Iplehouse after 8yrs admiring them, and I'm hoping for a Wednesday arrival [awaiting the dreaded customs slip, which I'm wishing will come Monday].

Has anyone got an Oscar in Special Real, who is styled in a Korean aesthetic? I see such potential in him, as a love rival for my Bichun, but I need to see him looking... less Caucasian. I'm trying to find an easy inoffensive way of asking. :sweat

    33. Yeah all my dolls are supposed to be Korean but I ended up with 2 Bichuns and my Rex whose mom was Korean and Dad was from England. I have lots of Asian big boys. Iโ€™ve never seen an Asian Oscar. Hope someone posts one!

    34. @IngieBee Thank you! Carina is an all-timer for sure, just such a good sculpt.

    35. Oh contraire! There was a time when everyone was posting Lahelas! Ugh, I was thinking Aaliyah, I'm so bad at names (and faces) Oops!

And off I went earlier to take more pictures of mine, setting things up, then, oops, forgot her heel on one shoe broke off, so I sat down at my craft/computer table to fix that .... computer called to me.... and I lost track of time, LOL. Many hours later, I still have no photos, LOL. But Lahelas are actually quite popular :D

Here is mine, it's really not a great picture, that's why I was going to do a photoshoot :( No light now, LOL

    36. Yes, you know I've been wanting a Bichun, but I've started buying my FID's in pairs (so I don't end up with more girls than boys again, and only Iplehouse makes me want the boys more than the girls, LOL) I may do my next FID order with Carina, she is likely the winner :D

    37. That's what I'm leaning towards now, having given it some thought, as Bichun is a versatile sculpt and looks different depending on the chosen face-up style. I just don't want them looking like brothers, as the characters aren't meant to be. But I've seen potential in his face for each character I want to shell. And, thankfully, there's only two. :sweat

    38. @ivorysand I think different faceups and skin color could help??

    39. Here are my Bichuns (RS muscle and NS model). They are brothers, but certainly not twins. Hope this helps. Also very different faceups. They both have Chewin hair, so different hair would also make a good difference.

    42. here an info about Iples summerevent [IMG]

    43. Awww :pout: That's a shame for the summer event, but thanks for the info Greeneyed-soul. I really do NEED to get Bichun at some point.

Ivorysand, I am also on the lookout for Bichun-type characters. I would also like it if there was a skintone between "normal" and real skin, as peach gold won't really be an option for my character. I often find that Real Skin looks so very dark in my photos, and Normal looks far too bright sometimes.

Mahgiep, having said that, your two Bichuns are gorgeous together, and each so unique :D

    44. Thanks, @Olga Borontova is that Vanessa? I love that Bob wig! And such a pretty delicate dress!!

    45. I think their Special Real Glow is a touch lighter than the Special Real. I'm thinking, if I can afford it and convince myself that I can get a second Bichun without the two looking like brothers, I get him in the SR Glow, to help differentiate them.

    46. I think much more can be done with the Faceup than just skin cc olor. Ugh, I made a similar mistake with my boys. I mean, they are also brothers in real skin, but I want a Bichun too. And my favorite color for Bichun is real skin! :doh Ugh, I want diversity in my FIDs, they are the group I'm trying to make like a realistic group of people. But it's so hard as 90% are sculpted like blond fashion models. And when they do do an Asianish or Africanish sculpt, they are watered down with Europeanish features. Then the 90% Euro type sculpts start to look the same, ugh. OK, I'll stop ranting:XD:. I definitely am super happy to have realistic BJDs in a super awesome size, I just always want more I guess:doh

    47. Love the curls on your Aaliyah @IngieBee and Vanessa looks pretty in red Olga :)

    48. IngieBee
Thank you for your kind words! :) Yes, this is Vanessa - my favorite!

      LyanneNZ
Thank you very much! I thought that a brunette in red is a classic combination of colors :) Every girl should have a bright dress :)

    49. @IngieBee - Yeah, I see so much potential in about 90% of both Oscar and Tedros, but the eyes aren't quite hooded enough to pass for Asian. They did offer EID Tedros in the limited Tokyo Story style. But, looking at their current range and those of other Fashion lines, a second Bichun is probably the best option right now. I can always sell him, if a better option is ever released. There needs to be more Asian FID dolls. More diversity!

    53. Beautiful! The KIDs and BIDs look fantastic with the FID dolls!

I'll drive-by spam my Aaliyah. The background is curled, LOL. I'm not the best photographer! Gotta work on that!
