Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 11

May 21, 2020

    1. @PhotoArtitude - Unfortunately Iplehouse rarely ever sells heads alone. In any size. But they have in the past when they had old stock maybe with imperfections or sculpts there were "retiring" some big sculpts...but FIDs are kind of new...relatively speaking. But no...Iple usually doesn't sell just heads.

      While I'm here...I'll add a shot of my NS Vanessa (Randyll)

      Your Vanessa is great!
      Thank you for the beautiful photo!!!!

    3. Thank you @luluna, it's a shame :-(

      Your Vanessa is so gentle, I am partial to "side glances" on Iple sculpts. Love the belt!!! It's gorgeous.

    4. Beautiful dolls @PhotoArtitude and luluna

      Regarding head only, your best bet might be to find someone to split with, though the FID sized dolls are a bit harder to match up for hybridizing :/

    5. @Olga Borontova - Thank you for the lovely kind words.:)

      @PhotoArtitude - Yes...I've snagged heads the very rare times they were offered in the past. But in general...they don't offer them on any regular basis. I think it is a way for them to combat the counterfeit markets... by not making it easy to acquire so many different heads (for the people who abuse and steal their property for profit)...It's unfortunate as that it hurts those of us that just want dolly heads to have more characters.

      @IngieBee - Thanks so much! :)

    6. PhotoAttitude, I have just the opposite problem. I snagged a head here and canโ€™t find a body. If I buy another full doll, Iโ€™ll still have the same issue . Love picture of your Arvid and his little lady. Did you make the backdrop behind them?
      Your Randall is a beauty Luluna, are her eyes painted? Great outfit too.

    7. Yes. It's pretty unusual to have too many bodies. I have many more heads than bodies, too.
      You may want to do a split to get just a head.

    8. I realise that :-( I am almost tempted to get full doll and keep the body on the box without bothering to do body pain even. Can't justified it money wise yet...

      Precisely!

      Not sure what you mean by backdrop? I am fortunate to have this lovely view from one of my windows, so, I just put doll's bay window on the actual windowsill and these trees behind the window act as my natural background.

      As much as I absolutely love Iplehouse boys when it comes to faces I find their bodies extremely restrictive when it comes to posing. What they can do - they do extremely well. Don't get me wrong, I would not part with Arvid, but now I would rather invest in more flexible body as I came to this hobby from photography and value doll's modelling ability. So, for me having a few of those gorgeous extra boy heads would be a dream!

    9. @PhotoArtitude I am the same. Posing and photography are top of the list. I seem to manage the FIDs best (after I set up the ankles!) but although I still can pose my secondhand, older model EID, I am reluctant to get a new EID of Bichun, still my favorite guy. I would love his head! However, the nSID girls are amazing to pose. I hope IH eventually updates all their dolls based on these girls.

    10. That's BRILLIANT!

    11. Thank You! And yes! Good for you for noticing! Her eyes in this photo are painted. (Made by the talented LyanneNZ.) :kitty1

    12. @Olga Borontova , Your dolls always have such beautiful clothes.

      @MB Lilac, Wow no words to describe the attention to detail. A feast for the eyes.

      @luluna
      Your Vanessa is lovely. I had forgotten that you had one. Thanks for sharing her again.

      @PhotoArtitude,
      Greata idea to use your own windows background for your dolls. The trees work great in that pictures. I like your Arvid. He's such a great sculpt.

      I guess I'm one of the few that wants a couple of FID's M bodies instead of a couple of heads.:lol: My heads don't like sharing over here.

      I love my Iplehouse crew and one of my favorite has always been Stella. This is Electra, my Elemental queen and her elemental form is of a fire made Dragon.

    14. @luluna She looks so soft and beautiful. I love her look.

      And since it's almost Christmas....

    15. Sisen, just a thought, Raccoon Doll does sell their bodies separately I believe. Depending on what resin color your head is that might be an option for you. Their normal matches Iple normal pretty well. I have a a normal color FID Lawrence head on a normal Raccoon Doll male body. MY realskin FID Leonard head also shares my RD sweet mocha male body.

    16. If you ever want to go for another FID male body - please, please let me know! I would happily buy off Rex head from you! I am not savvy organising splits or whatever they are called, but would love to participate.

      And yes, your Electra is gorgeous!

    17. Bren
      Thank you for your attention to our work :) !
      Your Electra is beautiful and dangerous!!!!

      Romantic and beautiful! Leonard - My Big Dream! Beautiful image!

    18. @Bren - Thank you! Yes this poor girl...I forgot that she was on the slim FID body! LOL. I'm a bad dolly mama!:aeyepop:

      @ResinRapture - Thanks so very much! Love the photo by candlelight! Your girls faceup is really wonderful. I imagine you did it? :)

      • x 1
    19. @luluna Thank you. Yes, I did it, and Doria is a joy to paint.

      • x 1
    20. Is she? I have't realized but her more youthful face would seem to go with that slimmer body.

      You did a beautiful job.

      @JinCIncy

      And there is one of my favorite Elf in your collection. He looks good no matter what he wears.

    22. @MB Lilac They are gorgeous! And the outfits are beautiful ~

    23. Beautiful as always! I love her muff!

    24. Thank you! I borrowed her muff from one of my EID girls. Just had to pin it a bit smaller.

      I decided to give Rex and Bianca a daughter. She's a BID Judith. Not a 100% perfect scale-wise match, but that's fine with me....

    25. MB Lilac
      Lovely family photo! Yeah, you're right, there's a little mismatch between the size of the adult head and the child, but... their faces are so beautiful, you can see that the baby is a small copy of mom! And the girl can see the charming expression of her face - credulity and purity!!! Thank you for the presented aesthetic pleasure and New Year mood!

    26. Anyone know... if I have to change my address, do I just tell them in the Q&A section?

    27. @MB Lilac Beautiful photos of your gorgeous dolls! :love

      Sharing Lahela with a new completed outfit. She think it's still summer, even with the snow outside! :XD:

    28. She is stunning. I TOTALLY would have chosen a Lahela if I'd had a character for her... Maybe someday I will ;)

    29. @MB Lilac
      Gorgeous Family.

      @Ban Sidhe

      Yes, That would be the best place to let them know. But make sure you do it in advance and remember to change it in your Profile/ user account. You may want to verify it once more with them in a few days after you have done so.

      @lapivoine,

      your Lahela is lovely. I love Lahela and I really like yours with black hair.

    30. If I go that route, I'll keep it in mind. :3nodding:

      And Thank you about Electra.

    31. @Ban Sidhe Thank you! Maybe you should create a character to be able to add her to your collection :XD:

      @Bren Thanks! Lahela is one of my favourite sculpts from Iple! :)

    32. Great - I just changed my info in my profile too. Thanks for reminding me <3

      @lapivoine - Hmmmm, if my Bibiane is as good as I'm hoping, I just might :D

    33. Why does this thread always fall off my notifications? Ugh :(

      @MB Lilac , I always adore your photos, which makes missing them when they're posted more frustrating, grrr LOL

      @lapivoine your Lahlea is amazing too :D

    34. Hooray, my two FID finally arrived on Christmas Eve!!!! So Happy Christmas to me from me, I guess! :lol: :hollyberry:gingerbreadman:candycane

      I ordered them a whole year ago, but EMS to Australia wasn't happening, so I finally paid for the Premium shipping, and they eventually got here! I'm so happy!!! I got, both in white skin, a Doria on the curvy body and Vampire CLaude on the muscle body - so now I have an FID boy in each body type, which is exciting! I really love Claude in person, was worried I wouldn't like the open mouth, but I do, I love his little teeth!

      No photos as sadly they're still blank, as I didn't quite fancy any of the Iplehouse face-ups for what I had in mind, and now it's more waiting as I'm not sure when they can be painted - I want to send them to Matahatas as I normally do, as she does just amazing work, but she's in Russia and I'm dubious about post from Australia to Russia actually getting there at the moment. (If anyone has any insight on that, would love to hear it!)

      So they might just have to sit around blank for a while. At least I can start making their clothes now! Fancy vampire outfits here I come! :love

    35. @morganatron I am so glad they arrived safely! Iโ€™m afraid I only really know what it is like getting mail from Russia (to Australia).

    36. @morganatron , huge congrats and happy Christmas / New Year to you! Gosh, I'm sorry they couldn't send the dolls without paying premium :(

    37. Thank you!!! I'm so glad too!!! Now I'm curious: how did it go getting mail from Russia?
      Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!!! And yeah, the shipping situation wasn't ideal, but it is what it is - and in the end I just wanted my dolls to come home safely!

      • x 1
    38. @morganatron All the mail from Russia now comes by sea, even EMS. EMS just has priority getting on the ship, it takes around 2-3 months.

    39. Yikes!!!! Yeah, okay, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll risk it then - not until things improve! Thanks for letting me know!

      • x 1
    40. Seriously? Why in the world? That's insane!

    41. I think this is specific to Australia? I just had an order ship from Russia and land in NY 16 days later. Still not here but still...

    42. @IngieBee @Mahgiep Sorry about not clarifying! I was talking about mail from Russia to Australia.

    43. Well, from Australia is super slow too. I have a doll being sent that was posted on December 5th, and it still isn't even in my country.

    44. @MB Lilac I know! It took one month for me to send a package to the next state over, it was bonkers!
      According to the Australia Post website, EMS shipping is taking between 10-20 business days to Canada, so it looks like you may have to wait a little longer.

    45. Well today is the 18th business day, and it still hasn't shown up yet. It will come in on the other side of the country, and then still have to come across to me. Fortunately Canada Post is pretty quick.

    46. @MB Lilac Hopefully you wonโ€™t have to wait too much longer.

    47. I have just ordered my first FID Male, Rex, and am trying to decise on one of the female sculpts. Perhaps I'm not reading it correctly, but do the FID women come with two sets of feet or only the flat feet?
      I have lots of BIDs and KIDs, but this is my first purchase of one of Iplehouse's adult dolls, so I'm going to have to read all the posts to educate myself. I've collected Tonner dolls for years, as well as Gene, so am hopeful some of their things will fit the FID female dolls. Not sure if any of my bjds clothing will fit, though.
      I gather that shoes for male FIDs are a problem, any new sources?
      I'm enjoying looking at all your beautiful creations! Thank you for posting such great photos, they made my decision to go for the FIDs.

    48. It's been a while for me, but I think they come with the heeled feet @Sortilege :) Hope someone will confirm :)

    49. Yes, I just got my girl and she came with heel and flat feet! Which was a nice surprise!

    59. Thank you everyone. That photo was from last year when most of my FIDs (that I had at that time) went to a New Year's Eve party. It was also one of the few times they got to be contemporary people...
