Iplehouse Discussion ( YID, nYID, SID, EID ) Part 05

The "policy" of no points on Doll Choice (for the doll itself) is a fairly new one. It began just this past summer, with their sale that included Doll Choice at basic price. After the sale was over, Iplehouse didn't raise their Doll Choice prices back to their former level. Currently the only differences in ordering in DC are the higher price for a faceup - but you get to choose just about any you want, or none at all - and the fact that you can't use layaway.

Personally, I'd rather save the $50 it used to cost extra per doll, to order in Doll Choice (except at Christmas and other very special times) than get 1% back in points.

 

OMG, I JUST GOT A SHIPPING NOTICE! I never thought Raffine with the custom makeup would be done this soon. Now she will be here in time for my birthday and not Christmas. Yahoo! I really need some fun news and a distraction. Since my mother passed I have been a mess.
They make me so happy. I keep my bedroom dark so I keep them out all the time. I want to look at them! I don't give a rats behind if they yellow if I can't enjoy them. To me they are sculpture particularly Iplehouse dolls.
And yes they are an addiction. There should be a 12 steps for Iplehose dolls. I have enough it's shameful, but I'm pretty sure that won't stop me. Maybe doll therapy...
My first was around five years ago and was Carina, then Arvid and the rest is history (repeating itself).

 

I wasn't on the list honestly I'm doing well to get to this thread. I ordered on October 11! I can't believe they have already shipped her, it's amazing.

 

Congrats Lilsgirl!!!! I bet she'll be GORGEOUS and I can't wait to see her!!

And as for the storage thing, I keep mine in their boxes. If they're out all the time I get so stressed worrying if something will happen or about yellowing. More worried about accidents though and seeing as I have 4 pets and then my mom is a dog trainer who boards dogs in our home. Plus I really don't have a place to keep them other than in their boxes. Gives me peace to know their safe and it doesn't take me long to get them out

 

I have one (Impl Young line) out and the others in their boxes. I am looking at getting a 2nd hand display cabinet so that I can see them more. I am hoping I made the right decision in ordering the nYID girls instead of an EID lady. Might need to hop on FlickR and do some more pic research : )

 

My Zera sits on my Hound's lap so far he does not mind, but all my dolls are covered up and I have 3 doll benches that took me years to find. They stay in my room and hubby is not bothered by them, unless they come to life and scare him while I am at work

 

Well, this is only my big boys - the girls are fussier with their outfits and I have to re-glue the magnets in Shani's headcap (it refused to stay put before, is impossible without the magnets and I can only hope there will be some improvement). And I have to find more SID size footwear. *sigh* The one pair of boots I have on hand needs their soles reglued. Gah.

I'm never going to get over how small SID men look next to EID men.
All of your boys look lovely by the way! I think your Lawrence is my favorite! What bodies are your EIDs on?

 

Lady Tiku -For doll sized benches, my hubby found one in Michael's arts and craft store, they are made out of wood and can hold 4 SD size dolls in a seated position. The last one I found was on a wood craft website. Prices then were fair at $40-50 bucks, but who knows what they are now. I think mine were called Deacon Child size wood bench.

 

Leonard is Super Hero, the other two are Model. And yeah... it's actually kind of annoying! The EIDs make the SIDs look like boys, which I wish they didn't. *sigh*

 

*chuckle* Leo has been a tough doll for me to match up with his character - he needs a more fantasy elven type outfit which I have plans to make. Mostly he suffers what I have on hand. Most clothes make him look too heavy actually - it's challenging. Maybe it's because his face looks a touch smaller than the others? (I've measured his head - it's the same size, just -looks- a little smaller).

I started on the girls, needed Mari's high-heel feet and started sorting doll stuff. It took all morning just to do the basic sort. But Yur and Mari got dressed so here:



Yur and Victor are a couple - Victor doesn't tell me very much about himself but he gets very very snarly about any hint of him and Yur not being together. Mari is Yur's baby sister, Edan is some sort of cousin who has a complicated relationship with Mari.

I need to iron those dresses. Gah.

 

I guess I've just been second guessing myself. I completely had my heart set on an EID through DC, but I was also bummed I had originally missed CH Vera and then Isis!! Haha why limit myself right? There is plenty of time to acquire a few EID ladies. Don't even get me started on what boys I want...Iple bug. Got it bad! So want Crow and Leonard as well ; )

 

Can anyone access the website, I keep getting a Error Server page.

 

There's been a few people who have been mentioning the same issue. I've had trouble with it most of today as well. Not sure if anyone has sent an email to them yet though.

@ktk8 I love the photos of your Iple crew. The girls especially look stunning in those outfits!

I've also had problems with their website for most of the day. I haven't been able to do any Iplehouse window shopping at all! I think I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!

 

I tried to get on this morning and again this afternoon. No luck. They need to take a good hard look at their site, because problems keep cropping up.

It was showing something else earlier, but I can't remember exactly what the wording was.

I am having withdrawl from not accessing the site, I may have Ipleitits, symptoms include agitation, sweating, dizziness, etc.....money being spent with other companies.......this is serious.

 

I noticed the problem last night too, trying to access their site. Hope it is fixed soon...I am having withdrawals to window shopping too!! Thankful that my recent order had arrived before this down time.

Gosh that outfit looks so fantastic I've had my eye on it since it was released, but unfortunately it's either money for clothes or money for dolls, and the dolls have been winning thus far.

 

The site is back up! Gosh I want that outfit too for my Zera too!

 

The Iplehouse auction for that PG Erica is tempting, her makeup is very different. Even the Aaliyah is stunning. Now I am drooling over the outfit she is wearing. Hope it won't stain my Zera if I get it.

 

I like her faceup too, it's very striking. Erica is a sculpt that I keep overlooking but she does look gorgeous with a more dramatic look. Although I think she's medium bust, rather than the large that Iple has listed her with.
There have been quite a few stunning dolls up for auction lately and it's taking a fair bit of willpower to resist them!

I can totally relate to money for clothes or dolls. I really want Vera, but this time I picked the clothes. Still hoping I can somehow work out ordering Vera in time too.

Yeah, glad the site was not down for long. Oh you should get the outfit! (love enabling when I can ) I have another outfit to try on her, sort of similar, but different. I am hoping to mix and match the two for more options. Will let you know how it goes.

LOL, love enabling when I can What helped push me was seeing luluna's photos on flickr (of this outfit without the corset - Cinderella style).

Glad IH got their site going again.. You should get the outfit for your Zera too.

I really want an Aaliyah, except I do not want an EID. Had one and just too big for me. Has anyone seen her on a YID body? I like that outfit, hope it does not stain. Could always do a cold water rinse to help set the colors or see if it bleeds.

Can I share Zera again before she changes into another outfit I ordered from IH? Hope you all are not tired of seeing her. Little different jewelry and trying an updo hairstyle. I should have found some fabric scraps to put in her hair.

Has there been any more news regarding the unreleased CH dolls yet? Or about the next FOMA doll that I'm sure I saw mentioned in here? I've been competely out of the loop since DoA relaunched and stopped giving me thead update alerts.

 

Hmm that's a little disappointing. I'm sure the Foma SIDw will be lovely, but after all the talk about them I was hyped for the CH doll releases, especially Rania. It seems like CH has been put on the backburner for a while then.
Well, I suppose I should just look at it as time to save up, but I am hoping they appear in the first half of 2016.

 

I keep checking Iple's Diary. They have removed everything for this month after Pet Doll Closes (on the 1st) and next month (except Christmas). Nothing at all on the calendar for the first 5 months of 2016.

@LaurieESW Zera's wig looks like a Monique Gold "Hope". Is it? Or did you restyle a different wig?

 

I had no idea the Foma has SID women, will they do one in EID size next? That black dress Raffine was wearing was to die for.

Iplehouse website opening random unrelated webpages?

Heya, been wanting an nYID for a long time and sitting on the fence... Anyhow, is it normal for listings on the site to open completely unrelated webpages? It's done it a couple of times for me over the past few days that I've come back to browse dolls. Do you guys think it's still safe to order from? Are Q&A's and order receipts etc behaving normally?
I read previous posts about the site being down and instances of a Chinese page loading, but wondering what the general consensus is about the site's reliability/trustworthiness at the moment? Hopefully some of you have had more experience with the site than me.

(edit) More details: For example I just clicked the Erica auction listing on the homepage, and every time it would open the same unrelated page in a new tab (that didn't look suspicious itself at all and very official, just some Google Business webpage). But then after I refreshed the Iple homepage and clicked on the auction listing again, it opened correctly in the same tab. The other day it was a different random site that opened until I refreshed the Iple homepage (and thus all the listing links).

 

It has been happening a lot really but it has not effected their service or trustworthiness

They have asked in the past that we let them know when this is happening as they don't always see it on their end. When it starts to redirect I mostly refresh the page as you have and it starts working again.

Mostly I think it's a coding issue on their site which sends a redirect rather than going to the page it I supposed to, but I haven't heard of any issues other than the redirect and the site being down for the day, so you're fine to order without issue. I've ordered two dolls from them since the problems started and they've arrived safely.

I would send them a message in the Q&A though to let them know of the issue next time it happens. Take a note of the time it happens and if possible take a screenshot (they may ask for one ) of the page you're directed to.

Thanks very much for your response and putting my mind at ease! Glad to hear that Iplehouse are aware of the problem and that their site hasn't been compromised.
Now I'm thinking about getting something from their DC system before that limited edition outfit I want ends...

 

Hehe that's me. Aaliyah's great on the nYID body and I am in love with my Hazel. EID was too big for her character and SID wasn't curvy enough and a tad tall. The newer EID woman heads seem to fit the smaller bodies better than they used to IMO.
