Really jealous of the chairs you got there for them to sit in. Such a cozy setting you've arranged. Really wish I could find at least one seat (and it won't cost a hundreds), they are all just standing in corners right now lol

I know how it feels about IRL friends (or lack thereof) near by who are into dolls. Nobody I know with dolls lives anywhere near me But I never have time for meets either so I guess online is ok for now :P

Thanks! I've found most of those at really random places actually. None of those were made for BJDs. The little white MSD sofa is actually a jewelry box and it opens up, got it for $5 at a fabric shop. The wood chair my mom found at a craft store a while ago, the white wicker chair I dug out of a pile of things in an antique shop, and the big bench was a $10 garage sale find! It's for toddlers but it works perfect for SD's. We made sure to put all the "fallers" on that one LMAO! In order for this many dolls to be in one photo, they had to sit.
oh! And I have a pink salon chair for American girl dolls that fits my little JID perfectly! A friend gave me that

 

That looks like so much fun!! I really miss the at-home dolly visits from my friends in the DC doll community.

The DFW meetup group has been very welcoming, but I miss a lot of events because I live somewhat out of the way from the majority of members, my partner works weekends, and I don't/can't drive for more than 30 minutes normally, since I worry about getting stranded if my back goes out (driving puts a major strain on it, and I don't have a wheelchair lift for my car, so I have to be able to load/unload it myself.)

Where did you get the chair that Luna is sitting in? (Still love that bench that you made found -- so hard to find in-scale chairs/etc for these guys!)

I made my first outfit for My nYID Stella. I multiplied her measurements by three to get the right size and I then photocopied the pattern at 33%.

 

That's so nice on her! She looks so sophisticated.

I'm also dropping by after finishing a sewing project, an outfit for Anora loosely based on the Archeress set from Armstreet. I wish Armstreet made BJD-sized clothes. :P

 

Well, don't hold your breath,, lol, but as soon as I feel good, I'm headed that way. I want to see what you've got going on with all those dolls! And what you can do with mine!

 

The outfit looks really chic, and it's a great fit on her! Where did you get those boots?

*drooling uncontrollably* OMG, I already have so much Armstreet stuff bookmarked for ME, someday, when I have ALL THE DOLLARS . . . if they started making BJD stuff, I might explode!

Oh goodness, same! I've been using their promo pics as motivation to get back into working out. I'm not in super bad shape, but I used to be a very active martial artist, and the body I had back then would look much nicer in all those gorgeous dresses. If they made BJD things I would absolutely go broke. Better not let them know BJDs are a market they might be interested in. XD

sidroq: Absolutely love the outfit, including the colors! I didn't know of Armstreet before, but I have to agree I'd love to have almost any of their outfits for the resins!

 

Thanks everyone who answered my question regarding the IH Doria. I was able to reach the person who traded her to me and found she is indeed the IH Doria, peach skin, special faceup. I checked the box and paperwork and it is all correct. Thanks to everyone who answered me.

 

I haven't ordered from Iplehouse for about 18 months so I am glad I finally got a girl I have been wanting for about 4 years now. I am getting Raffine in RS. She is meant to be my doppleganger to my hubby's Leo

I am really proud of how he turned out. The Dashiki and Kufi (African shirt and hat) I have sewn for him from Kente pattern fabric. I had serious problems with the Purity seal spray frosting on his face and finally had just the right atmospheric conditions for the last coating of spray that undid the frosting effect. Resin this dark is challenging but I feel like I got the coloring effects the way I wanted. I saw a black baby doll at Walmart with orange lips that gave me the idea for his lip color (orange on brown with purple at the edges).

 

Baby Bordy wanted to say "Hi" from his Daddy's lap.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about with is Zander. Some kids in my town like to steal big packages but LUCKILY I have to sign for everything that comes from Iple. I'm ordering him in December but I still hope that with Iple's pace and that he's basic, NS, blank, and has only two other items with him that he'll be really quick and possibly home before Christmas, which I know would have to be super fast, but hey, I can dream and hope haha

 

@artisticadelle I would not be surprised if he did come fast--when I ordered a blank doll last year in December she came within two weeks! I wonder if they put on extra staff then?

I received the new Rexy today...and they did include the heart in the makeup! I thought that would be a custom option, and since her name is Corazon I was so thrilled. I won't have time to sew for her until Thanksgiving, but I am delighted that she is home!

@Forever, thank you!! Yes, I was really surprised! I forgot to say they have new NYID boxes too! It sort of fits the new site "look" of the new makeups and the jewelry line.

Oh wow I really like the new design. Not really keen on the SID orange and YID green boxes (that may just be me though ) but yeah a change to go with their line is awesome

 

Interesting that they sell the boxes! I guess we should be careful to not rely on a box alone to prove that a doll is legit.

 

I must admit Rexy isn't usually at the top of my list either normally, but since seeing her in ebony in the auctions months back she snuck in there. She'll be one of Eve's sisters if I ever decide to shell them (not happening any time soon with the amount of dolls I have already ). I do think the new face up is adorable though especially with the heart

Cool that you can get replacement boxes though. I think I would consider it for Asa, her box has been damaged since day one. It's seriously ripped But you're right we're bound to get the new look ones eventually

 

I think it's awesome to be able to get replacement boxes...I have one box that is falling apart and I would love to replace it...of course I would end up buying clothes to go with it to make the shipping worth it

Random question -- can anyone identify the model used by Blueblooddoll2008 on eBay? From some angles, she looks like a Jessica, but from others she reminds me of new!Yur or Doria.

Since I don't have any of those sculpts, I'm having a heck of a time figuring out if she's a (possibly modded) Jessica with her teeth painted over, or...???

She looks like a modded Jessica to me. (Who has a modded Jessica)
It's her nose that is making me think it is a Jessica.

 

I agree with you about the nose, it's what made me think "Jessica" -- but maybe they modded the eyes a little, too?

She's very pretty, whoever she is!

 

I thought Yur myself, but am in no way sure. I havent gone and peered at sculpt pictures to check.

 

@Ashbet I'd say she is Jessica. It's possible she isn't even modded and it's the face up and photo angle that's making her teeth 'invisible' for want of a better word. The eyes and make up used actually make her look more wide eyed but I think that's just perception as well. If you look at Jessica's latest face up (the one they use on the Maleficent set) she looks like she isn't showing teeth either, even when facing the camera face on

 

Definitely not new Yur ... I'd agree with everyone and say she's a Jessica.

 

That is Jessica that is modeling, she is lovely and I think her teeth maybe painted over after seeing those pics on ebay. Needs to stay off of ebay as is

I was planning some and Lauren's is in progress, but a cat with renal failure is currently getting the better of my time ... not sure when I'll get around to finishing the costumes. Then again, we don't really do Halloween in Germany ... just expect them for Karneval instead.
