Haha yeah there's a new waiting room. I forgot to subscribe when it was made and wasn't getting the notifications either lol.

Joining the GO would be awesome if I could. Don't mind about the wait as I have plenty of other new outfits for my boys on the way to occupy me in the mean time and of course Eve isn't home yet either so he won't miss it. I was wanting to get the shoes to go with Vera's dress and just noticed they are finally in stock too so if I join I could order those to come at the same time yay

And speaking of wigs...

I was surprised to see it under their mohair section! The light color is the only one I don't want, though. I've been waiting patiently since Alberto showed up, but now I wish they'd hurry up and add black and dark brown, already!

 

I love Kumari, Ashbet. Not only is she beautiful, but that wig looks fabulous on her.

I'm glad you like the wig -- I wish I could share where I got it, but the eBay seller seems to have evaporated. I haven't seen many wigs in this deep-purple/plum color, which looks black in shadow and gets really nice purple highlights in the sun (I actually really like it as an alternative to #1/#1B black!)

The wig itself was something of a disaster when it arrived (it was a puffy mushroom "bob" that gave a super-round silhouette and had hopeless bangs), but I managed to trim and style it into a slightly-1920's-inspired shingled bob. I'm really pleased with how it turned out -- I kind of can't imagine her in anything else, at this point!

Yay, Doria Aaliyah and Rebecca have now been released as basics! Which means that I have absolutely no reason not to take a Rebecca home anymore. She's been my grail since she was released so it's about time she made her way to my shopping cart. Time to start saving up! Is anyone else ordering a new lady now that these three girls have gone basic?

 

Ohgod I just want to buy all the new EID Woman clothes! Sierra is giving me the stinkeye from Hong Kong. >_>

 

I do love the new clothes and faceups! Good thing I don't have an EIDw and that the stuff for the only one I have on my list isn't her style. I do want that SID/EID leather jacket tho dammnnnn. I think I'm going to have to steal parts of Aaliyah's new B faceup for my future Vera, Becca. She'll be in real skin with some freckles and I love her eyes and blushing. And Doria's new faceup A is tempting too, thank god she isn't in real skin with it or I'd have a hard time resisting her but I gotta stick to my "only the first two books" rule.

 

Those new EID clothes are terrific now just to choose what to get with what I can afford. Here are my two Mariens (Normal resin B faceup and PG resin A faceup).

 

Both simply stunning, Patrice S; congratulations! It's wonderful to see the two faceups side-by-side: redheaded Marien looks pensive and a little sad, like Harace, while blonde Marien definitely has attitude.

My own struggle right now is not to buy any of those new male EID costumes of 3 or so weeks back. I think I mentioned Maytag box in another thread ... eeeek.

 

I thought I was content on not buying Aaliyah, until now.
My brain is trying to convince me, I need her. It told me "but you don't have an EID woman who can wear all the gorgeous EID woman outfits"
Luckily it'll have to wait for a long while, if I should buy Aaliyah, so I'll have plenty of time to decide.

 

Iplehouse......you are so wrong for releasing those lovely ladies right now........and wonderful clothes too. NOT FAIR!!!!!

 

Bah, Iplehouse clothes frustrate me to no end. They all look nice, but most of what I get barely even fits the dolls (I actually managed to rip the zipper area of a pair of black jeans I got for my SID woman when I was first trying them on her because they were so difficult to slip over her hips and butt. Now she can't wear them without a long shirt). x_x; Outside of some tops and skirts, I'm pretty wary of buying some clothes from Iplehouse. That's a lotta money for an outfit that MIGHT fit (and even when it does, just barely), which is ridiculous when the clothes are specifically designed for their dolls. OTL

Anyway, getting out of negative-ness here (kinda lmao), here's Priita and Joker getting are cozy~ ;3 Aaaahhh I love them together so much. x3 The YID guy hands are so freaking big though compared to the SID woman's. It's a little redonk looking to me.



Unfortunately, Joker's faceup decided it needed to chip even more (thank god it's nearly all hidden by his hat), so guess who I'll be getting sent out for a faceup sometime this year...yet again. Feels like I've barely had any time to enjoy him all done up. v.v;

 

Jumping in with a photo of Lacie and Josh I did for a contest. The theme was Darkness and Light so I thought I should show their "normal" selves and then the darker parts of them. Know that Josh is posed awkwardly on purpose, his character never looks like he's actually comfortable in his own skin.

Iple are so not right for releasing all these new clothes. 80% of the new bits are on my wishlist now and I just started removing items off it that I finally got. I tried to explain to the two ladies below that the items are not their size and would be too big. But Hazels having none of it and giving me her I don't care glare. Halle's following her lead.

 

Troublestar, I just love Hazel's faceup! I just couldn't bond with mine I do miss her sometimes. I got Scarlet instead and she wears red lipstick too.
Iple got me just in time with the new clothes. I picked up a few old and new things. There's one still on my wish list. I only want part of it so, I didn't get it.

 

I knew how to find it this time! There's a new preview for a Carved Heritage doll named "Crow." I'm confused and interested. Apparently he's cursed and has a skull head?

I mentioned in the Waiting Room about how I was worried about Lacie looking too cute and sweet? Yeah well um, I'm not anymore.

 

That looks awesome, artisticadelle! What on earth do you use for *temporary* additions to a faceup, like blood?? (btw, just want to reiterate what I said in the waiting room - I actually like the way that her teeth look shadowed instead of bright white. It adds to the realism!)

 

Wow thank you for the huge compliment! Glad to know my photoshop skills are that realistic; I don't add anything to the faceup, that's all painted on and blurred/shadowed in photoshop. The original picture had no blood or bruises. I usually use the 'burn' tool to start bruises then lightly paint a light purple over them in places and then add the blood. I made a few blood splatter brushes in photoshop that I place then just stretch and blend and smear when needed.
Yeah I like her faceup as is-dang depression goggles can really get a hold of me lol.

 

Ah, I should have guessed! My poor, ancient photoshop program isn't compatible with my new computer, so it's never the first thing that comes to mind anymore. But yeah, the stuff on her hand, especially, looks like blood smears. Great job!

Depression, ugh. It definitely colors everything in a negative light; I try not to make any choices or decisions while I'm feeling gloomy - I tend to regret them later, lol. ^^;

 

Yeah my version of photoshop is pretty old as well, I still use CS2 lol and thanks! It's fun photoshopping her like this because she ends up breaten up in the books. Luckily she heals fast and Lacie is a really tough girl. She causes a lot more damage than she recives. My favorite quote for her is "Whatever doesn't kill me had better start running." I can't wait to add Zander into the mix because those two downright hate each other for the first and half the second books. They have to work together, but they don't like it and Zander's a gloomy bitter little b*tch 90% of the time hahaha he has more bloody noses and fat lips than Lacie does that's for sure.

 

Thank yous. I'm still in awe of it myself even now. I had trouble with her at first as her first face up was not done how I wanted. But this one now is spec-tac. Sorry to hear you didn't bond with yours. But at least you did with Scarlet

 

Wanted to stop by and throw in the silly picture of Lacie and Josh. I was trying to get Lacie's arms to cross and they would only hold like this. They look like they're about to drop the hottest rap album of 2002 LOL

I have a few questions I hope someone can help
On layaway they say 3 months, is that three months to pay AFTER initial deposit or 3 months INCLUDING deposit ?
Also deadline is July 12, is that until he runs out or can I still order on July 10 and be guaranteed one ?

He doesnt "run out". The sculpts are made to order so as long as you get your order in before they take down the sales page on the 12th (I believe by end of work day korean time), you should be good.

The 3 months is split into 4 payments (although with the new system I'm not sure how accurate this is). What it was before is, initial deposit, than 1 payment a month for 3 months... I think.

here.. this is how my layaway payments were set up for when I ordered my Douglas last year... Of course I paid him off early so these dates just reflect when I would have had to pay, not when I actually paid.

• 1st Payment day : 2014-02-19 - Paid ($300.00)
• 2nd Payment day : 2014-03-21 - Paid ($200.00)
• 3rd Payment day : 2014-04-20 - Paid ($300.00)
• 4th Payment day : 2014-05-20 - Paid ($484.90)

It is probably the faceup on the human head. His blank sculpt is much nicer without the faceup ^^ and you're welcome

 

I also prefer a blank sculpt. The faceup + the wig together reminds me of a certain person (Ash Armand) and I can't look at him without seeing it, not sure do I like or not haha But the outfit is amazing and the one which Stella wears, to die for.. I'm not a fan of that skull head though, it looks more like a decoration or a tattoo style skull (because it has an expression, not a typical skull). But the whole set seems really nice anyway.

 

Hmm... That's unusual that they don't have white skin. Pity as it would go well with the skull. Can't wait to see what people do with the skull versions

Oh and the boots are in stock. They're under the SID man section The description says it fits both EID and SID males.

 

When I saw the dress Stella is wearing I automatically remembered this dress - I am sure they used it as an inspiration. It's really cool they were able to get the fabric in the same colors. I wanted so long to sew it and Iple beat me to it .

 

I would love that outfit for my SID Zera, hope they decide to make it!

Those boots in the SID section are not the same boots that the skull crow is wearing - less straps and buckles, I know the number is the same - I think they have made a mistake

 

Actually Ceejay they are the same. They have have the same amount of straps on the SID boots listing, they've just folded the flap over the top strap If you click on the '4' under the picture it shows an image with the flap turned up so you'll see them all

 

I've been working on some drawings lately and I wanted to pose this picture of Lacie and Josh since I have them next to me as I draw. It's kind of a how they look in the books VS their doll forms. And you can't see it very well but the clothes their drawn in, the dolls are actually wearing ^^

 

They've included white AND gray for the resin choices so people who want a white resin body to go with their skulls....now can. If they did some skull hand parts, that would be just cool beyond words.

EDIT: Whoops just noticed your post yuan_mdx. That's awesome that they've added them. Had to back to take a look (yup I'm nosy lol) and noticed they've also added the option for skull colour... Bone (I assume white skin that they originally had) or Grey. It seems someone over there is listening (or reading?) the requests of a few who want the skull only version of Crow. Glad they've done that

 

Hi everyone, I've been MIA for awhile while I graduated and my girl was off getting her face did haha

Here she is with her beautiful face-up by AngelToast. I'll have to get a better photo tomorrow. Now all she needs are her doll bakery eyes!

I'm trying to find nice doll stands right now. I've heard the AMORSdoll stands are good, anyone on this thread have any experience with them?

Haha yep that's what I did! Well I haven't sold everyone .... I haven't heard of that company. I do know I like the saddle type or "Y type" better than the waist type. 1) You can hide it under clothes and 2) I find it more stable for Iple's. I just bought the wooden ones that are on most of the sites. Omega? I only have a few. I've never been in the business of doll stands so I'm not much help. After my LUTS yellowed I have started just keeping them locked away in the closet until we go on weekend trips to "grandmas house" (my moms) She cries inside when I call them her grandchildren. :lol
