Glad that you like her! I do think that this darker wig goes well with her new face-up.

The wig is an old one from Monique called "Judie". I purchased it on Ebay as being a Light Brown Judie.

Oooh @Therese52 she looks lovely! The scale is really good. After a quick image search, the wig seems kind of similar to the current Monique Julie wig, but maybe with looser curls?

 

She is beautiful! I love Meenist work. She gave the light brown Byuri I had, a face-up. I hope she will be able to do the face-up for my blank Nami.

 

I had the Monique Judie wig in size 5-6 and with a little stretching, it fits well. The curls are just the right length.



I just purchased a second hand Judie wig size 6-7 in Blonde and will post a photo when it arrives. I wonder how the Monique "Julie" wig looks on a BID doll? I really like wigs which have a realistic natural skin part or fuller bangs.

I modified some Monique Macy wigs in size 7-8 from my Effner Little Darling dolls with an elastic band to fit the KID and BID dolls. They have a mesh skin part and the length works well. The Macy wig does not come in a size 6-7 unfortunately.

 

Meenist has done some Pukifee and Littlefee face-ups for me which were adorable. I am looking forward to how she will transform Naias.

 

Therese52, she's so adorable. I really love that wig. I'm going to have to look for one as well. I look forward to seeing pictures of her in the blond wig. I love her face-up.

I have several Effner Little Darling dolls and a huge stash of wigs for them, and since they are one size larger, I've been using a wig cap and elastic band to put the wigs on my Bonnie. I didn't want to have to invest in a ton of new wigs. The wig in my avatar is a 7/8 purchased for my Little Darlings but I prefer it on Bonnie!

 

Can anyone recommend a wig for LB Efreet (boy)? I'm not sure what style would look good on him. He's got a black wavy/curly wig now but I'm looking to add another one.

 

if you decide to make the wig more permanently for your bid, you can also take some tiny tucks in the back till if fits better.

Iplehouse BID Photo Spam

 

I did that with a 7/8 Iplehouse wig that was too loose for the doll I wanted to wear it. Just turned the wig inside-out and ran a running stitch up from the back, reducing the wig circumference. Worked really well.

 

i've done it a couple times. i also shortened a wig that came to low on the forehead by taking a vertical tuck on the inside between the wefts. you just have to be careful that you don't get too close and make the hair stick out. i need to do it with a couple of other wigs that cover my kids ears.

 

sorry for breaking the ongoing discussion but I just wanted to know if Luts hdf shoes fits these cuties. I´m going to order my Anne soon (finally after one year) and I have to spend a ridiculous amount of money in cute shoes and outfits beforehand Things that happen when you finally get a job~

 

i have never bought shoes from luts but i dohave a hd and a bid. here is a picture of their feet so you can see how close in size they are.

@Uminari I have these Luts shoes and they fit my Honey Delf, LittleFee, Iplehouse BID and KID.

On the left in photo on Bono Peach Gold Glow: The Blonde Monique Judie size 6-7 wig has an older type wig cap (with adjustable band), longer sausage curls and thinner bangs. It does not look like the style of the size 5-6 Judie wig.

On the right in photo on Elin AngelToast NS: The light Brown size 5-6 Judie wig. Even though both wigs are second hand (retired?), the size 5-6 wig seems better quality. A previous owner may have opened up the sausage curls somewhat.

Those are adorable wigs. I put a number of Monique wigs on Bonnie the day she arrived. I'll share them in the BID spam thread as well.

 

Update on the Monique Judie size 6-7 Blonde wig: I trimmed the bangs and divided each sausage curl into two parts on the Judie wig and it ended up looking similar to the size 5-6 Judie wig. See the improved wig below on Serca.

 

Your Serca looks wonderful! After almost a year I'm still having trouble finding the right look for my real skin Serca boy. Nothing seems to look right. Maybe I should try turning 'him' into a girl? 'He' already has a girl body.

 

Your Serca's new-and-improved wig looks even better. I like the looser curls. Very nice!!

 

it looks much better now. i love monique wigs for their feel, but find they often need a bit of a trim/restyle to fit my bjds properly. bangs especially are often just too long otherwise

 

My Chloe (with old PG) is just back from getting a new face-up. She got rid of her bulging froggy eyes and I am very happy with her change. Next to her is Coco in NS/A. And in case you are still thinking about getting them before it's too late :-)

 

It can't hurt. I know the BIDs are supposed to be gender swappable, but even Iple's own "boy" photos of Serca look like girls to me

My Efreet boy was 2nd hand, but his wig looks like this one from Iplehouse, but in the saddle brown. I can't seem to find my pix on flickr today. I wonder what's up this time! I even uploaded 2 more pix of Martyn and they've gone off into Neverland!

My LB Efreet wears a dark brown Monique Johnny wig...

I agree, that most of their sculpts look like girls, and I find it challenging to find the right wigs to make them actually look like boys, and not like girls with pixie cuts.

I rebooted and flickr seems ok now. Here's Martyn in his Iplehouse wig. It feels very fine, like a boy's hair would be.

 

speaking of wigs... it's begining to look like IH has no intention of 'restocking' THIS wig in caramel brown... and I hate the blonde version... Does anyone know where I might find a 'very' comparable style? and ya it's the ss size so yes it needs to be the really small fit.

 

LeekeWorld has a somewhat similar wig, Leeke World. It's a little longer, so if you want it for a boy you'd need to cut a bit of length. The only trouble is the only color currently in stock is honey blonde. Their champagne is similar to caramel brown.

 

ya it's for a boy and I do not cut wigs... that would just be a baaaaaaaaaaad idea... I'm worse than my Mom was and you don't want to know how bad her 'trim of my bangs' was. lol

 

ForMyDoll has two wigs that are somewhat similar. This one is more wavy, and this one is a bit more straight. I've always liked FMD's wigs; they are my second go-to after Iplehouse. If this size is too big, they have the "wavy" one in a size smaller.

 

Thanks to everyone for the helpful pictures and information on boy wigs. I plan to add the Johnny wig and the Iplehouse wig soon.

My Peekaboo is "on shipping"- so fast! I don't have a wig or eyes for her at all! Luckily she's coming with an outfit, and I do have some shoes. I've been waffling on wigs and now I've got to do it!

 

I now have the cash to pay off my last 2 layaway payments for my Aki, but do I just email Iplehouse to bill me? I have 2 auto pays set up in PayPal and don't want them to think I'm cancelling my order by cancelling those 2 payments.

 

When I paid off mine I sent the payment via PayPal and then left a message in the Q&A with my order # and PayPal address and the amount I paid. Once they credited my order (they confirmed the next day) I cancelled the automatic payment.

Iple won't know what changes you make to PP... they cant see that (they would only know when payments don't arrive). Also when you do make your payment and leave the message include the PP transaction ID THAT is your proof of payment.

 

My little girl is here!! She's so very cute and disgruntled! I'm waiting on her wig so she's a little baldie for now! I'm so impressed by how heavy and sturdy she is.

Her wig arrived, but it's really awkward to put on and too dark, I think, with her eyebrows. Back to Monique and then try again!

She's also commandeered my credit card somehow and has another pair of shoes, two outfits, and a more acceptable wig on their way.

 

My sweet little one looks much more like herself in her new wig, eyes, and Dollinstyle outfit! I'm still taming the wig- it's a Monique Gold Tori and quite voluminous!

 

Yes, those big curly wigs can be a problem. I'd like some of my dolls to have curly hair, but most curly wigs are way too big volume-wise to make my dolls look like real little kids in photos.

My Chloe is on the way, although she's coming blank, so even though it's exciting getting a new doll, it's also rather bittersweet since I can't play with her and take pictures right away.

 

Nami in NS/B and Peekaboo in glowPG/B. I am completely in love with this Nami. Does anyone have her in LB?

@hyssop: I like your Peekaboo with make-up C very much. Is she in PG or SR?

Yes, an Aki in light brown. I decided to wait til my 2nd auto-payment was taken, which is only a few more days. Then I've learned there may be 2 new Realfees, so eep I'm glad I waited. :O

 

My Nami arrived and I have ordered her wigs in carrot. I tried a too big on her and it really looked nice with her type A make-up.
This only took a bit less than 4 weeks with face-up. I am impressed!

 

My Aki arrived a few days ago. She's not quite ready for her debut; she needs to get a faceup first. This means I have more time to complete some clothes for her.

My Rana from the auction is here She´s (well she has a boy body. But I don´t care) in peach skin and I fallen hard for that colour. Good thing my Anne will be in the same skin colour.

I made her dress beforehand without owning a yosd or even hold one... it fits but could be a tad smaller
