Yup. Just nabbed a black shirt. I would have got the boxers too but I don't think my chap attended the University of California, LOL (and how come I never got monogrammed undies from my old university? I feel cheated now).

That skin tone looks like the same old same old, just a slightly colour cast photo perhaps. Nice butt tho...

These shirts are much better! Those shoes look all right in the photos. Maybe the "geriatric" shoes (heh) won't look weird once they're on his feet. He's so gorgeous, who's going to pay much attention to his shoes anyway?

Thanks for the heads-up, you guys. Will definitely require undies. Now I wish they made U.C. Santa Cruz ones with the big banana-slug across the bum.

It does look like they used a Realskin model for the pants, and Normalskin for the undies. Those khakis are nice, but I'm wondering if it's only their lighting that makes it look the same color as the Realskin resin? Or if it really is that close in tone? I kinda don't want the lad to match his pants.

Okay, so I'm really dumb....... I FINALLY figured out what I liked so much about Akando, and who he reminds me of. He reminds me of Richard from the Anita Blake books. Yummy, muscley, tanned, angsty Boy-Scout wolf-man Richard.

 

Ordered a couple outfits and the shiny shoes for him, hoping they'll allow me to combine the orders to save on shipping.

 

I was agonizing about whether to buy the shiny shoes right now... decided to risk waiting, & see if they put out a boot I like better. When he arrives, I FIRST have to try every single other kind of large-male BJD shoe on him. In this thread, we have all done a lot of speculative research, and by god, I am going to find out what existing brands he can wear (if any)! ^^ If it turns out he truly cannot wear anyone else's brand of shoes, then I will bow & admit my dependency on Iplehouse.

However, today that didn't stop me snapping up jeans + trousers + undies + two shirts. These items all look wonderful. Bless them, they had the good sense to offer Plain Black & Plain White for shirts... 2 colors of denim for jeans... and black, charcoal, or khaki plain slacks. Nice basic stuff! Except for those two David Cassidy shirts, nothing too daffy!

(Detail I can't wait to reproduce at home: In the picture, the jeans are low-cut enough for the underwear elastic to show. Such a trendy little detail, but how cute is that on him. Now we just need that tight white tank-top....)

Ooh! Ip just told me that my order is eighth in line for delivery (I didn't ask them, but just said how much I was looking forward to him arriving when I paid for the shirt). It doesn't really help me guess when he might ship, but if a few others come out, I know that mine must be soon. Yay! I am getting seriously excited now. It could be next week!

I CANNOT for the life of me remember my password, and I've tried all the questions with all conceiveable answers I can think of the retrieve it and can't get in. Means I can't get any info about my Akando nor add any of his clothes to my order. I emailed Iplehouse but yet to hear back *sigh* poo poos

lol it doesn't really matter now, as there was a new buyer found, however, i was not trying to sell a doll i do not have. I was just trying to announce that Iplehouse would have one more doll to sell themselves. I was just going to give their name to Iple. But it's pointless now. LOL I hope everyone enjoys their dolls. Agh! I NEED IP to make those EID supers w/mobility bodies available as Basics! Has anybody heard anything - posts by IP, rumors, wishful thinking - about when / if they'll be available? Thanks.

I gots a Yul Brynner Minimee head that needs a ripped 70cm body, is why.

 

There are multiple responses to multiple questions about the standard EID body on the Q&A board. Latest is they have set a price (sorry, can't remember what it was. Reasonable for the size, I seem to remember) but not a date. And they say the body wont fit any other heads because of the huge size of the neck.

 

$650 for the standard EID Akando

 

Did they post the price for a standard one already ?
