I, being quite a bit chunkier than I've ever been after having my thyroid removed, will not be wearing gothic lolita attire. However, I do have one cute outfit for my SD, and am seeking out something equally cute for my MSD. My teeny-Tiny will probably just be looking cute.

 

Wah! I can't wait to see them. I have to look for a pair of socks at the convention for my new model size doll from dollmore. I got all his pants, shoes, jacket, tie, and ring too and for some reason forgot socks DOH >_<

 

I'd love rings (or even one) for my girl.
I'm thinking of making one from some findings...

I'm just reeeeeally hoping I have my girl in time. Today's the four week mark, when she's supposed to be ready, then another week for shipping. However, I found out recently that the seller I bought her from has a slight history of recent disrepute. :/
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, since she has 100% feedback on Ebay, and some good feedback on DoA. When I was researching her, of course, all I could find was the good. And now I've paid, I find the bad.

 

Just a quick reminder that pre-reg closes on July 18th (that's this weekend!), same with the awesome hotel rates ($139 + taxes per night at a 5 star hotel). Normal rates at this hotel are well above that so if you wait too long you won't be getting this hotel rate.

Also I think that there weren't many double king rooms left so better hurry before they're all gone.

I think a tentative programming schedule should be up later this week as well.

FANtastic, I was out on your island for the first time a month ago for an outdoor wedding. What a gorgeous place to live!! However, I was mildly amused by all the tsunami evacuation route signs.

[Updated] Yes, my mistake in assuming. The @door prices goes up by $5.00 so Full convention pass after the pre-registration cut-off deadline is
$55 (fri-sunday)
$35 (saturday only)
$25 (sunday only)

Only note is that the convention the lines maybe long.

If you pre-register, all you have to do is show your id and get your wrist band and you on your way. Allso they have access to the convention Friday evening. We have some late night showings and events happening exclusively on Friday for those who pre-registered.

Another advantage to pre-registering is the information booth on Saturday opens up at the same time as Registration so if you want to get a ticket to the tea party or loli-bowling you'll need to line up there and pick one up. The tickets will be passed out first come first serve, one person per ticket. Those who pre-register will have an advantage of getting a ticket over those who didn't because they'll be in line waiting.

 

I know, times are really tough for so many. I hope things look up for you.

 

I'm really looking forward to this event. It's a different group of folks from my usual run, and I can't wait to meet everyone. I must remember to put my DoA handle on my name badge.

Bah. I think my fiance may kill me if I make another $50 purchase at the moment. He asked me to curb my spending, and I only did slightly, and the next thing we know, we've got about $500 less in the account than we thought we did. Oops. :/
I'll mention it to him, and see what he says. It's our money, so I have to be fair.
I told him there'd be cute girls in sexy costumes and asked him to come along, but he'd rather just be my chauffer (so I can avoid the parking fees, etc.)

I'm very much hoping that this transaction does not go afoul, and that everything is completed smoothly. I'm worried by the trouble some have been having with the seller recently, of course, and the short and not-so-sweet tone of her responses. I don't think a buyer should feel nervous about Emailing a seller. *shakes head*

Rillystar, I met a girl at a non-BJD-related party, and somehow Gothic Lolita, then this con, and BJDs came up. She said she knew you...unfortunately I don't even recall her name. She used to have a Hound, but has no dolls now. Ah well.

I really really REALLY hope I can go! My friend happened to take a bunch of days off starting with the first day of the con, and she lives a 5 min walk from where the con will be held It all depends on weather I can get the days off (I live in Alaska so I can't just go before/after work)

So sorry. I was completely mistaken about @convention prices. They do go up after the pre-registration cutoff by $5.00. My mistake for not reading the registration page >_<.

At convention Prices:
$55 (fri-sun)
$35 (sat only)
$25 (sun only)

But the great news I just discovered is people have been asking is that they've postpone pre-registration for 1 more week. So July 24th is the last day to Pre-register ^_^

Hope this helps. Unfortunately the hotel rate will go up after Saturday, at 5pm. That special rate wont' be extended by the hotel >_<

the customizing and face-up panels were so awesome and informative. As well as the photography panel. I feel like I learned exactly what I wanted to know. It was also really interesting to get an idea of what Steampunk is all about. my friend is hooked now. ^_^* and my boyfriend came with us so It was such a great day! Next year I will defenently attend the whole con.

 

I had a wonderful time! Everyone I met was just the best Aww I love our community hehe I'm so amazed that BTSSB and Dollheart were there! I know that the turn out was maybe a bit small, but I hope this happens again next year. It can only get better and better!! Thanks to everyone who helped put this on
