IMPLDOLL Young 46cm Mini Discussion.

I finally got my Cassie to sit! I had to buy her a skirt. She still won't do it easily though. Does anyone else have this problem?

 

I think I managed to miss this whole thread, despite my Avery being my first doll (yes, the sculpt name stuck xD), and Impldoll being one of my favorite companies, with an off thread Ada almost paid off and at least one more doll purchase from them planned in the near future. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get to a computer, and in the mean time I'll enjoy all the lovely dolls!

Hi all I recevived an Idol and a Young doll from Impl on Weds this week. I chose Moon as the free event doll in the February 2015 event. I paid for tan skin and a company face up and I couldn't be happier with her. I wasn't sure about the body from the other very few owner pics i saw, but she is lovely. very poseable so far with the extra thigh joint. The knees bend well and she is standing well on her own also. The face has a sweet expression and the face up is natural looking with a very slight gold sheen. All in all I would have been happy to pay full price for her as she is such a lovely bjd. I have taken lots of pics but had trouble uplloading them when I was on my PC the other night. I'll update when I am successful.

Greetings! I haven't been in this thread in a long while, but I sensed a kindred spirit so I thought I'd pop in. o vo

My Moon is being pretty sassy right now so I didn't move her, but I thought I'd give her a chance to say hi too. Unfortunately, she still doesn't have shoes because I keep focusing on my other dolls. Hopefully at some point. Definite agreement with Lelm though. This girl is still my most poseable, and most likely to stay standing when put on her feet, despite never having been restrung or sueded.

 

Hey all, color question.

I'm thinking abut getting a white skin trista body to hybrid with another head.

Do you think that ResinSoul or DiM white skin would match? Anyone have both of them?

 

I have OT for this thread dolls from Impldoll and Resinsoul. Resinsoul is really paperwhite when it's new and Impldoll is close, I think, maybe slightly more yellow.

In the picture (hope it works), Impldoll white is top right and ResinSoul is the smaller one at the bottom. The tiny one balanced on top is Dollzone. Good luck with your hybrid!

No, I'm kind of drawing a blank.

My go-tos are the companies I mention above, but I'm worried about scale. I was thinking a DiM head could be really...unique and haunting, but it might not fit.

I actually just posted a thread asking for input over in visual concepts, and would LOVE any ideas.

 

You might be best to look through some heads (that's a weird sentence!) and pick out a few that you like - even if none turn out to be suitable it should give you more of an idea what you're looking for. With a white base a good match should be fairly straightforward, especially as you're planning to blush it. Maybe check out the marketplace if you have access. Again you might not find anything suitable but something might inspire you [emoji4]

 

I did a lot of looking, and ended up deciding on the RS Ming head. If I get him done with a more feminine faceup, I think he'll work really well for my centaur girl Hyacinth.

 

Am I still the only one around with a Cassie? I was hoping people would get her in the event. I like the body for the most part. I just wish she'd sit easier. I've never seen a leg/thigh mechanism quite like this, even after four years in the hobby.

Are you thinking about hybriding the Ming head on the Impldoll deer centaur body? Note in case you may not be aware of it but the Impldoll centaur body is very short with a head on its only about 36cm or so. I can't find the photo of my Resinsoul next to the Impldoll centaur but here is one with the Luts Centaur that should give you an idea of the mass difference. Not that I'm discouraging you from trying the hybrid maybe you are wanting a shorter doll, I was just very disappointed when I received mine that the difference in height was so big.

 

Now that my new Moon finally has her wig I feel like I should show her off ^^ Even if she's wearing the most garish dress, I have yet to find time to sew her something proper.

Wow @FacelessPuppets your Moon is absolutely gorgeous in that skin tone. I really want to get Eileen in either the dark skin tone or grey.

@ElvenArcher - Tsuyoi's styling is great, congrats on having his image almost completed. He looks complete to me though, what else do you have in mind?

 

faireva thanks! He's actually borrowing a body right now :'D My Devin is getting a makeover so Tsuyoi get's to reap the benefits XD I plan to get an IMPL-Child boy body for him next year, the IMPL-Young body is a tad too muscular for his character.

 

Wow, there's been so much happening here since I last popped by. Fabulous new recruits for this thread! Your dark tan girls there are very impressive, Redrosette and FacelessPuppets! Love that photo of your Madawg, Tea-Leaf!!! And your Moon is so pretty, Lelm! I still harbor hopes of one day snatching a Moon for myself, and I'd love one in tan, just like yours. Loved viewing your Cassie's adventures in your blog posts, Chanarivka! I can't believe she is still the only Cassie around here. Such cutie young you have as well, elvenlogic and ElvenArcher!

I had some misfortune with my Adela. First I waited for her for 5 months and then when she finally made it home to me last July, her face was full of deep scratches. Impldoll made me a new head then, but took some time to arrive obviously and I only recently had the time to give her a face-up, but here she is now:

She's not wearing her unicorn horn, because the magnet is really loose and it sets a bit crooked on her forehead for some reason. I may need to do something about that. I love this Impl's white resin though and Adela was such a joy to work on. My Impl Youngs have some posing problems too. The arms don't have free rotation at the elbows, the head tilt doesn't quite compare to my other 1/4 dolls and yep, the sitting is challenging, but I love my gang to bits anyway. The body sculpts are very cute imo. Devin and Avery would deserve some more photo time as well!

 

Hey everyone! I've looked through the thread and I'm not sure if I overlooked anything, but wondering if anyone here has the 46cm boy body? It looks interesting from the website and I'm really interested in seeing some owner pics? Is he actually 46cm tall? Any comparisons to any other 1/4 boys (particularly Doll in Mind or Doll Love)? I've tried finding some reviews for this body and I'm coming up empty!

 

InkyBear: I don't have a DIM or Doll Love body to compare with, but I do have a Doll Love Hugh on an Impldoll Young body.



They're both normal pink, and the resin match is near perfect.
I'll try to remember to measure him for you in the morning,
He and my Impldoll Moon had some trouble sitting upright because of their thigh joints, but I hot glue sueded my Moon and now she sits like a champ and holds many poses. I plan to do the same with him, and I think I can expect the same result. They both stood very sturdily right out of the box though.
Overall I'm pretty impressed with this body, and would recommend it to you if you're willing to suede.

 

InkyBear, I have two Young boys, Avery and Devin. They're not quite 46cm tall, but a bit shorter, more like 44,5 cm. I don't have any Doll Love or DIM boys, but, I have a comparison row picture on my website with Devin and several other 1/4 boys here:
Versatility BJD Inspirations . There's a lot of other "useful" stuff too, but if you go to the end up the gallery, you can find the 1/4 boy comparison row there. My two pennies on the bodies: the Young bodies are really beautifully sculpted in my opinion, but the posing is not the best possible. They can do basic poses ok, but knee joints don't hold too well and sitting is a bit of a struggle as they have some funky jointing there. They stand well!

so i just got my deertaurs yesterday and there was a slight mix up in what color i wanted the legs to be. they are supposed to be the same color as the deer body well impl is sending me new legs but i couldn't wait another month or so to share them so please ignore the odd mismatch.

Oooh every time I see that deertaur body I'm pulled back in. I'd given up on it as a hybrid option because I'm just assuming that my 19.2cm MSD head is too big for it 8'( I don't suppose anyone who owns this body has a large MSD head they could test on it and take a photo? Even if to at least confirm my suspicion.

(For some reason, I didnt notice the mismatch at first, and though it was part of their clothing. I'd really like to see them with the appropriate coloured legs though! I really like the way they look with the deer part being a different colour to the human part, as the website pictures with both the same colour always looked slightly off to me)

 

BlankQueen: always love seeing your two, makes me wish I didn't rehome my Avery, I think some day in the future I'll get another, will stalk their site to see when another event comes up..lol.

Too bad about the leg problem with your Deertaur gang, moondust07x, but I think they look lovely like this too. I'd just enjoy them while waiting for the proper legs too.

 

Hi everyone! I'm considering on purchasing an Impldoll Young girl body for my doll. Now I have her in a Spiritdoll Smart body and I dislike the big chest and hips so that's why I want to change it.
In the Impldoll website I have read that the chest circumference of the young body is 21.5, can you confirm it? Because I think that measure is too big for what I can see in pictures. The Smart body has 19.5 and it is a huge lot already.

I found it hard to find owner videos or pics of Moon. I have a body review filmed but not posted yet. So when I get a chance I'll post back here with a link to the review. Posing isn't great, but they are nice dolls. The body shape/circumferance I am happy with.

Popping in here with a quick question.

Does anyone know if clothes made for Iplehouse JID will fit Impldoll Young girls?

 

@PeppermintPocky I had that thought too, and its not definitive but I bought the JID singlet to try on Moon and it was all wrong, too long in the body and the straps were too long too. I've had better luck with some of the Etsy sellers who make things for larger MSDs.

 

I decided I didn't like Ixyry's faceup enough, so I redid it. Even more in love now

What do you think of Impldoll's dark tan resin, if you don't mind my asking?

 

Thank you so much ^^ I think it's very inconsistent, my Gela, while also a beautiful color, is much darker. It also has a rather reddish tint, so I guess not everyone is going to like it, but I think it's a beautiful color. I think with the Impldoll dark tan, it's a roll of dice which exact color your doll is going to be, but it's always a very pretty color.

 

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with me. I'll be sure to keep the inconsistencies in mind---right now I'm torn between light tan, dark tan, and a custom resin color.

This week I order doll (idol), and as aniversary gift I choose "Young Moon". The main problem now - find dress and shoes - Impldoll offer 1 (!) "young" dress, which is "sold out", and "0" shoes.

Iplehouse JID / Impldoll Young have similar mesurements:

- Head circumference : 18 cm / 18 cm
- Neck mesurement : 7.3 cm / 7 cm
- Chest: 19.5-22 cm / 21.5 cm
- Shoulder width : 9.3 cm / 9.5 cm
- Arm length : 13.2 cm / 13 cm
- Waist mesurement : 15 cm / 14.5 cm
- Hip mesurement : 22 cm /19.5 cm
- Thigh mesurement : 12 cm / 10.5 cm
- Waist to toe length : 26 cm / 24 cm
- Ankle mesurement : 5.6 cm
- Foot length : 5.3 cm / 5.8 cm

quick question about your moon....does she not have the horns? is there an option to get her without horns? she's lovely and i'm getting her for the event this time around . love her, not so much the horns.

 

I can't help with clothing questions, but...

Moon can be ordered without the grooves for her horns, yes. If you look on her product description page, Impldoll states they will make her without grooves upon request (I think you still receive the horns in case you want to attach them with magnets, but I'm not entirely sure). You just have to make sure to include your request in your order info.

Yup. I think I read somewhere on her page that you can request to have her without the horn indentations. I have the horns but dont use them mostly. Love my Moon! Would love to see pics if you order one!

I've found Moon to be pretty tricky to buy for. I think she falls into the large MSD category.

hiiii everyone!!! i'm finally getting my eileen and avery (avery is just a head for now though, i'm gonna do some serious modding and frankenstein-ing on him..!!) and i'm so excited ;p;

i already have a wig picked out for my eileen (i'm gonna call her charly~), and I've got some outfits and shoes in mind, but I'm not sure if they'll fit?? does anyone here have any experience with having their girls wear nine9style dresses?
I can't find the bust measurements on nine9's website, but that's definitely what i'd be worried about, along with maybe the shoulders. -__-
they seem like they're a little big? but maybe that's just the pictures?
i wouldn't be opposed to modding her chest if the new UV resist real skin resin (way too long a name lol) lends itself to that alright?

I'm thinking of possibly reshelling one of my boys and the Impl body looks promising. Impl does resin matching too, correct? cause then I wouldn't have to get a new head.
