IMPLDOLL Young 46cm Mini Discussion.

Hi everyone
My first doll came from IMPL Doll. Hana is an 'Adela' with real skin and original faceup. I love her She's so adorable!

 

I actually have seen customer pics of a black skinned Impldoll Model Girl Iris. She was actually quite pretty. The Model girls are 56 or 58cms. Please keep in mind I do not own the doll in this picture. I found it during a search on google.

With horns. The magnets are unfortunately very weak, these don't stay on very well. A light tap and they're off.

She holds poses well. She is very solid when she stands (not something I can say of my Model Iris), and can even stand on one foot in a variety of positions. I haven't sueded or restrung her or anything yet, although I may have to in the near future... she came with her arm elastic a bit frayed, which you can see when you pull on her arm/shoulder joint.

Anywho. Her name is Whisper, if anyone is interested ^^

Koromlakklemoso your Hana is stunning! What a lovely picture of her. I have had Adela on my wishlist for a while now and your girl just makes me want to go place an order right away, lol! She looks amazing with long white hair.

elvenlogic, your Whisper is very cute! I have a weakness for Impldolls; I've been eyeing Moon too, lol. I've also found the posability to be really great on my boys. I've been very impressed with the Impldoll quality all together. I wish they would make more of these young line dolls, they're quickly becoming some of my favourites in the MSD scale.

Oh good grief, Blankqueen your boys are so cute I may have to break down and buy another Impl ; v; Ditto on the wish for more young line dolls. I'd personally like some more that could pass for human, maybe with subtler fantasy details... just because that's nature of the collection I've started. Avery appeals to me, even still.

 

There's three Impl children that I would be interested in, Cassie, Avery, and Elieen.

ahalfling I have Eileen ^__^ I actually popped by to show her to everyone because I've seen no other owner pictures~ her face-up is by me rather than the company one (which would be better but I got her in the event so was already spending a lot).

 

Thanks elvenlogic! I would really like if they made some fantasy parts that were sold separately. It would be fun to mix and match and create all kind of creatures from basic dolls that could indeed pass for humans as well.

Thanks Kaamari! Devin was my first love but Avery has proven to be just as lovely. How great to see Elieen! I don't think I've ever seen one other than the one in the company promo pictures. She looks lovely! That wig suits her really well, and I like the way her cute ears show from under it. I hope you'll post more pics of your girl!

 

Avery has definitely been more popular that Eileen I've noticed as I've seen a few owner pictures of him now (but still not many! I think the scars put people off for some reason). Your Avery looks really good with the tan! I wanna see more pictures ^^~ I have Gia in tan and it's so.. even *has had bad experience with tan*. I plan to post more pictures of my Eileen when she gets her new wig~ this is just a temp but it's so ratty xD

 

I think you're right about the scars Kaamari, I was actually hesitating about Avery myself at first because of the scar. But now I wouldn't have him any other way, it's what makes him extra special. I will try to do a new photo shoot with my lovelies soon!

The Impldoll tan is really lovely and even, and considering that the seamlines have been sanded the quality is definitely top notch. Their grey is also the most beautiful tone of grey resin I've ever seen. It's a real treat to photograph Devin, he just looks so great in any lighting.

The grey seems to have an almost blue-ish tint, it looks beautiful. I so so so wish fantasy dolls fitted in with my family because I really love Devin's face ;^; I would be too tempted to get the grooves on his face sanded down and it would be such a shame because the little horn makes him so special. (And those ears omg )

 

Kaamari; The scars are exactly the reason I went for Moon and not Eileen. Eileen is adorable, but I'm a bit on the line about her scar. ; v; I would have gone for her in a heartbeat without it. As it is, I'm a bit too prone to constant change for such a permanent thing on any of my dolls' faces.

Don't get me wrong though, I do still think Avery and Eileen are both incredibly cute. ^^ Keep the pictures coming!

 

Finally got a quick shot of my trista, she still needs eyes, and a wig, but her faceup and mods (I sanded her checks, forehead, nose, and partially closed eyes) are done!

Thanks! It was scary work sanding her face, but I'm very happy with the result. Especially for my first sanding and additive mod! I'm hoping to make a nice black wig for her soon, and eyes are always a very long process with me to find the perfect ones.

 

Hello to all. I have a question and I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to order a boy head on a female body? I want Avery but I want him as a her.

 

They should honor that request, just let them know you want a girls body instead of a boys.

Blankqueen (Sorry, I wasn't too active ^^') Thank you! I love her so much The white wig is her original wig, I bouhgt she in full-set.
Now she has a new face-up, new eyes and new hair colour (I'll make an alpaca wig soon for her. It will be dark brown as the wig on the picture.)

Hi, does anyone own Eileen with her company faceup? I'm really interested in her but I can't find owner pictures of her anywhere!

 

I'm not sure if I can really join this thread but I've been really looking forward to getting an Avery shortly. He has just such a sweet face ;w; the problem is I really don't like how muscular the body is and I don't really want to go through the trouble of trying to hybrid him so I think I'm just going to sand down his body. Do you think that would be possible in the gray skin resin or should I just stick to normal skin?

 

lovely photos everyone is posting...I'm hoping to get another Impldoll sometime this winter, hoping they will have a winter event that I can't resist..lol. Not sure which one though maybe Sam on Human body in a different resin, or maybe Adela or Moon...we shall see.

 

Haha, my sentiments exactly! I just found out about Impldoll today. There wasn't a summer event... so I'm hoping they are planning an anniversary event or winter event. c:


Btw does anyone know if LUTS brown skin, light tan skin, or tan skin comes close to colormatching impldoll's tan skin? If anyone has pictures I would be so happy and appreciative.

 

I'm going to say no to the Luts brown and Impdoll tan because I know Luts brown and Resinsoul light tan are pretty close and Impldoll tan was not close at all to Resinsoul light tan. Unfortunetly I don't have my tan Impldoll anymore just the dark tan so can't do comparisons with the other 2 resin colors.

i just recently fell splat in love with avery!! i'm not very familiar with impldoll at all though, so i have a few questions that i was wondering if you guys might know the answers to??
do you know if the scar on his face is part of the sculpt or if it's faceup only?? i think it's part of the sculpt but i can't find any blank head pics??
and how hard would it be to mod his ears to human ones, if any of you have experience with that?

lastly, i've been trying to find a resin comparison for dollzone normal yellow and impldoll realskin?

i'm sorry if that's a lot of questions i'm just really enthusiastic about him..!! ^q^

There is not much to work with in terms of his ears, you could just sand the tips off and hide it with a wig (Most of my pics I have to intentionally style the wig to show them off. i love cute smiley boys, not many frowny boys catch my attention for very long, eheh~

i'm glad his scar is part of the sculpt that's really really cool!! i'm relieved, since i thought if it was only painted on i might accidentally damage the faceup at some point and it would be basically unfixable...! ;;

hmm... i was looking it over though and i think it might be a cool idea to remove his ears almost completely??! like an ear amputation to match his face scar, maybe?? idk i might be a bit weird on that front??? ((sweats nervously))

@Miku_Plantman i did some sketches but i couldn't get my art quite right so i gave up for a while!! :'0
i might do another one today or tomorrow, but... hm... it's a little hard to accurately draw 3d stuff 2d and ear amputations are... surprisingly hard to find good references for! (i do not suggest looking for them if you have a weak stomach though!! haha)
i was thinking of getting him some jointed hands too, and making it look like he had reattached hands or something? and the jointed hands for sign language, since without ears, he might not be good at auditory communication..!!

edit: also is anyone else having problems getting to the impldoll site or it just me

Oh dear! I can imagine it would be hard to draw. I love the idea of jointed hands, especially for sign language.

Impldoll site seems to be down at the moment but if you are in the US then Denverdoll stocks or at least orders from Impldoll. It may be worth you waiting for an event so you get a free baby doll (usually what they offer in the events) if you are not too desperate?

 

I am so happy to see some chatter about Avery! My boy is about to be shipped off to a face-up and body artist, and I'm super excited. I'm going to post a picture from his introductory shoot when I first unboxed him earlier this month because I am so in love already.

Does anyone have a Cassie that they would like to show some pictures of? I can't find owner pictures of her ANYWHERE.

 

I've not seen one. I don't like the company photos or maybe it's the makeup on her lips. I hope someone has a photo of her!

 

I've searched multiple sites looking for one and it is impossible. I don't think anyone has one. Luckily, my local doll shop has one in stock, and I asked to put her on hold, but I'd love to do some more research before I get to see her. I want to see custom faceups, what the doll looks like in photographs, what it looks like with different wigs and different sized eyes... I'm going to be able to tell a lot about the doll from seeing it in person, but I really want some owner opinions.

If I like her, and get her, the first thing I'm doing is flooding every doll community I belong to with reference pictures. I've seen a few people asking for info on her during my search.

(If I don't like her, I'm going to feel so bad for asking to have her put on hold...)

 

Well, that's true... I don't think I've ever seen owner pics of Cassie either! How strange! She's such a lovely one. I'll be eager to see your photos of her, chanarivka! I have Devin and Avery so far and I have a WS Adela on order.

 

But, I suppose I could at least ask about the body while I'm here. What fits this girl? Do they pose well? The limited information I could find says that she'll be stockier than a regular slim mini, and that they pose decently. I'll be shopping for her while I'm at the shop, but I'd like to know just in general what fits her, because I'll probably only be able to get her one outfit, in addition to her wig, eyes, and shoes.

I'll be eager to post them! I just hope I like her when I see her in person. I'm so excited to shell the character that I think she could be. The character is very near and dear to my heart.

 

I picked a Devin in dark tan for my event doll. So excited to get him home!

 

I brought my Cassie home today! Pictures will follow shortly! She's beautiful. Her body has nice flow and lines, and a wonderful default faceup. She's so pretty! Her arms pose well, and she's a solid stander.

She does look different than her company pictures though.

 

I cant wait to see the pictures!!!

 

I can't wait to provide them. Her arms pose much better than her legs, but I think a little work and maybe some wiring will help with that. I liked her feet a lot too. She even came with a little piece of ribbon tied to her O-ring that makes getting her head off and on a snap.

 

Does her lips look like duck lips?

 

Maybe a little... Tomorrow, when I have some natural light, I'm going to take a lot of pictures because there are no owner photos of this doll.

Thank you! I think she looks better than her photos too. I'm very happy to have stumbled upon her. I originally was going to get a Minifee to be this character, but I'm much happier with her than I think I would be with a Minifee. She's a great size! I normally prefer SD and tinies, but she's pretty close to SD size. She's nice and tall, and bulkier than my other MSD. My only problem is that no matter what I do, she absolutely, positively, will not sit. I don't know what to do.

Your're right it is hard to find good reference pics of the Youngs I couldn't find many good box openings on YouTube either. When I get mine I've asked my SO to film the box open.

So, my Elieen and Adela are going to be the first bjds I've ever gone clothes and wig shopping for. I'm hoping to make that stuff myself in the future but, until I learn, they're looking awfully naked.

Anyone have a helpful list of what fits?

Also, Penny, Nine9Style clothing fits, but it's a bit tight. It looks good, but it impairs posing a little bit. Other MSD clothes fit on her, but that's mostly what mine wears.

I absolutely love this girl's hands and arms. They pose like a dream. They're beautifully sculpted too. Her legs though... Her legs are a problem. She has the weirdest thigh joint system I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot, having been around for several years now. She refuses to sit in pants. She will only sit if she is wearing a skirt, and even then, it's a challenge. However, she stands pretty easily, and isn't very hard to find clothing for.

 

I ordered back in February and picked a real skin Moon with face up for my event doll. I knit and crochet but I'm not 100% sure on how well she will fit into patterns designed for the smaller MSD sized dolls. so far I have only made one dress for her that is pretty stretchy so should be ok. I am really hoping she arrives soon! I'm very excited for Moon and for my two babies that I also ordered! Does anyone have any feedback on what sized clothes these dolls fit into best?

 

I got a dark tan Trista in the event a while back, along with a grey Moon. I'm still not sure if the moon will stay with me (esp as I meant to also get her in dark tan and clicked grey instead ><;,) but I am in desperate love with my Trista. I LOVE Impl's dark tan, and now that her clothes came (they ended up being shipped separately from the dolls but Impl was lovely and kept me updated) I have photos! I got the company blushing which is absolutely gorgeous! They used gold instead of grey on her and she looks lovely. I also took off her legs, took her out of the centaur body, and now have the dark faun I always wanted. I can't wait to send her out for her face up!
