It has been exactly two months since I ordered!! I feel like I can start getting excited/impatient now. lol
When USPS trucks drive by i will run to the window and hope. I will start checking my email every morning for that shipping notice!! Though it's the holidays so I should probably tack a few months on my wait....

 

My tracking number isn't updating.

USPS says its preparing to be shipped but when I look at the tracking history says

I came home after work today and found a very large box with www.impldoll.com on it.
I didn't even get a shipping notice!

 

i got my doll today!! I was told that i would only get a partial order but i actually received the whole thing!

Thanks! Sadly, no event head but since I didn't technically order during the event I can't complain. I guess it's ok, I don't need more heads anyway....

I really really hope this body is actually the size of an Iple SID because I have no idea what clothes to buy him otherwise. He fits in nothing i have D:

Yeah I'll have too, but I don't think too many people have this body. At least, no one could tell me anything about it before I ordered. I gotta try though! No way am I ordering a 200 suit before I know if it'll fit. *dies*

I wrote to Impl re: my 2 event heads and to DDE re: my dolls to hold them until after January 2. I sure hope that helps me avoid any unnecessary issues with mail carriers??!!

 

I ordered an event head but I haven't heard anything since them thanking me for my payment.

However with at least one thing I ordered from them the tracking stopped updating for ages so I pestered them about it and they basically told me to chill. I did not chill. I fretted until it actually arrived.

So I wouldn't be surprised if they deliberately don't send me a tracking number just so they don't have to deal with me whining about my poor lost package XD

 

@rubydoll, no no no, don't fret. Unlike Korea or Japan, stuff coming from China is really slow and inefficient. I doubt they'd put you on a sh*t list, LOL, Honestly . I actually contacted them yesterday and heard back today. I don't want packages sent until after the new year with the likelihood of lost mail, wanting someone there to answer the door, etc, ugh! I just want to enjoy the holiday with less stress! I asked them not to mail it until after January 1st, and they clearly understood and they said they would hold it. In fact it sounded like it was ready?? I also contacted Denver Doll Emporium and requested the same thing in case my other impldoll order arrived. Now that I know they'll be held, I'm so much more relaxed!

Anyway, I hope you hear from them soon

 

Hahahaha, thanks XD it's terrible. If I have a tracking number I constantly check it and get frustrated and/or concerned when it doesn't move and I start googling flight numbers to check it there's no chance it was on a plane that has mysteriously vanished. I'd almost much rather it just arrived unexpectedly. But then if I don't know it's coming, and it does get lost, it could be ages before I chase it up!

China may take longer but I've found I'm a lot less likely to be stung by customs than when it's from Korea or America - I wonder if the sheer volume of parcels coming from China means they don't get checked as fastidiously.

I think I just need to work on my patience still! Hope everything works out for you and your packages arrive just at the right time to counter the gloom of January XD

 

Well, I got my package from DDE, but it only had my body and Resinsoul jointed hands, no Alma head . Also, the resin is really pink. It is the same resin I chose for my two bodies I would like to match up with my fairyland heads. So those bodies aren't going to work, unfortunately. I don't want to pay $50 for resin matching, so I guess I'm going to try their "real skin" and order directly so I don't have to wait as long.... Or not, ugh. I could try dying the resin too? Ugh, LOL

 

It's been -- ten, I think? -- business days so far, so I've maybe survived somewhere between a third and a fifth of my wait if I'm being optimistic. (Incidentally, the estimated wait time listed in the FAQs would work out to about as long as it takes a puppy to wean. It's not a particularly useful metric, but it's an amusing one.)

I guess they are behind in their faceups, and that's why my Alma head didn't arrive with the body. I guess since it went to DDE, they just send what they got since shipping is always full.

 

I ordered my doll and head in November and now that it's been over a month, I'm getting really excited! No word from Alice's Collection about the order yet. I'm going to wait until January 1st before I start bothering them about it.

 

My heads have finally arrived in the states. They should be here by friday!!! Yay!!

I just ordered a doll for myself for the first time! All the other dolls I've orderd have either been second hand or with my old now long gone RS Song (my first BJD) it was located at a import shop already.

So my first made to order doll is an Impldoll Aries!!!
I wasn't planning on getting another doll but he was literally perfect for a character of mine. I'll have to do some heavy mods on the arms, but aside from that he's just what I needed and I couldn't be more excited! He seems so unique too with his hair headcap. I was close to getting Chad as well, but then Aries came out!
I placed my order in maybe 20 minutes ago.


I do have a question though. I've seen it kind of mixed on their ability to make the dolls quickly (typically within a month) and some people I see have been waiting a couple months. Is that normal or are the ones waiting for a few months outliers? I'm mostly just curious because I was hoping to get my doll in before the Lunar New Year hits in China, but at this rate it sounds like I might be getting him made after! lol it's not a huge deal I'm fine with waiting. Honestly I'd rather the doll take longer and skip the new year all together. I'm fine with waiting for the doll, but it's the anticipation once you know the doll is being shipped and you're watching the tracking like a hawk that breaks me.

Edit: I forgot to mention I just got the doll itself, no faceup or clothes.

That said, I ordered an ImpModel body for my hybrid girl. I seem to be collecting hybrids with Impl bodies. I've already got three of them!

 

My Hannah Head finally shipped... well I have a tracking number anyways lol

 

Currently waiting on a doll from acbjd no notifications yet T__T why does it take 65 days
but yeah this doll would be the first one I get from this doll line I hope it goes smoothly :I

 

I'm also waiting on an Impldoll from AC. I'm at 56 days now, so when yours ships, I'll start paying closer attention

 

There goes my hopes of having the doll earlier but goodluck on your purchase! hope you get your doll sooner so I could at least have a glimmer of hope on mine

 

I love the impl bodies. Thus why i keep using them for hybrids. I have an ImpIdol body, ImpChild body, and an ImpModel body. They're so great!

I'd like to believe that means my dealer should get my order soon (omg that sounds so drug addict-like doesn't it? my dealer lol) as i'm oct 30th and I believe she put the order in around then. I got a note saying "in production" first week of november so fingers crossed that means my wait is nearly over!
I think I need to add a week or two onto anything via a dealer, as they always take a while coming through customs and then have to have fees paid and then repackaged for shipping again.

 

Must mean my Azalea head should be imminent. Ordered through a dealer Sept 27 and I think it went to Impl a day or two later. Christmas and New Year will have slowed UK post, so maybe (hopefully) in the next week or so. I had issues with another dealer last year, so I’m nervous about this one going wrong too...

 

I hope your order comes in soon! We both ordered a Trista, I'm sort of voyeuristically waiting for your updates since our timelines should be similar.

 

Who did you order through?

Angleseque said her Impl order should be coming in "january" so SOME TIME this month, but no idea when during this month.
I also have a resinsoul order which they said "a month" which usually actually means about 6 weeks after shipping so it's a game of "which arrives first?"

Impldoll order should by my maths be here end jan/early feb and rs should arrive early feb. Funny though it'd be for all four dolls to come at once i'm rather hoping there's a bit of a gap between them so I don't get overwhelmed and can actually get their faceups, eyes and wigs and such sorted out.
I usually have a rule about not ordering new dolls till I have previous ones FINISHED but that went out the window this time because I had the money and there were special offers on nghh.

But they should hopefully tide me over a while. Next up i'm saving for a custom cast black avery without the scar I think, impl said they'd do black resin and i'm like "yesssssss"
and then saving the ridiculous amount of money I need for my next project, which is mostly Souldolls and thus gonna cost me a fortune.

And the more immediately problem, where the heck to put the new incoming dolls. I am not convinced Trista will fit on the box I have my dolls on currently. I kinda need more shelves but there's nowhere else I PUT shelves and I don't like having htem up high for fear of them tumbling.
My only idea thus far is to clear one of my fashion doll shelves but I LIKE having my dolls on my desk, it makes them easy to grab and means I always look at them.
Other idea would be to fix a shelf above my desk between the mirror and the bookshelf but i'm worried that'll be just asking for things to fall on me.
I'll have to see if there's any relatively narrow shelving units I could bolt to the top of the desk instead maybe... bah.

Lol, poor girl is firstly getting an ear mod. I really don't like her strange little "afterthought" ears. I'm gonna bulk them out a bit with some epoxy.
But ooo i'm eager to see what that deer body can do. I hope they cast her right because I did ask them for pretty complicated things. She's supposed to be in two colours with sam's horns instead of her default antlers and i'm anxious they'll forget or get part of it wrong.

 

@purple_monkfish Angelesque for my Impl head. I’ve struggled to get info from them, every time I’ve tried, so your ‘Jan/Feb’ prediction is rather soothing. If you’re referring my “issues with another dealer”, that was the now defunct Dollsquare for a Mystic Kids Cris last summer. It took me a while to put my trust in a dealer again.

 

I also have a somewhat complicated order: I asked for additional knee joints. Depending on the deer body's ability to pose (I'm also curious to see what it can do!) I might try to mod the back legs to add in the additional joints. So excited for this doll - she's my first doll over $300 and my first taur, and I'll be getting my first floating head. Really can't wait to get this order in!

 

Oh Carol (Angelesque) is lovely, but emails don't always get answered. You gotta corner her on facebook and then she's pretty quick to get back to you. I harass her constantly on facebook lol. Poor woman.

Yes I think she's my most expensive doll and my first taur. I've saved up for her like 4 times and always chickened out and bought like 2 other dolls instead. Their "get a smaller doll free" deal helped my indecision, little abbey will be a Gnome in my little D&D group, hopefully.

But this does now mean i've shelled all the D&D characters I had planned. It feels a bit odd to have that finality.

I'm sure i'll find more sculpts to play with.

And of course I have my other plans for much more expensive dolls. Trista is kinda my stepping stone there. It took YEARS for me to justify spending more than £30 on a doll, then £60, then £80.. finally I got up to £150 for a single doll without too much guilt. Trista is my next step up and hopefully that means i'll feel less terrified about the Soul Doll order. 2 years ago I would have just laughed in your face if you told me i'd be considering spending £400+ on a SINGLE doll, the idea would have made me feel quite sick.

But, while my wallet may not be any happier with me, my shelf space sure is. I'm not spending any MORE long run wise, just buying less with that money. So i think it's okay.

 

I bought a couple of heads during impldolls Facebook event in November and thought those would go out faster but I guess not Biggest thing I want from that order is the outfit I got with the heads!

 

I want my head toooooo! It feels like I've been waiting forever. I don't know if it makes it worse I ordered a few things from different places around the same time and there was quite a long wait for all of them - so even when something arrives I'm still waiting for other stuff!

Of course as soon as my head arrives I'll just be frustrated I can't give him a faceup - oh hang on!!!!

My Dylan head literally just arrived!! With another package I'd been waiting on! *dances*

My Aries doll has been shipped! With any luck I'll get him before the Chinese New Year gets him stuck in China.

 

Oh gosh, @garrenn when does Chinese New Year start? I have been waiting on my dolls forever, and that just chilled me to the bone thinking something else will get in the way of my dolls coming home!!

 

Feb 16th is this year's chinese new year. So it's a bit a ways away. My tracking seems to be updating fairly frequently though, so depending on when you purchased your doll and when it has been shipped out, you may or may not get them in time. When did you order your doll? has it been sent out yet? It just needs to get out of china before the new year.

Basically if you're not familiar with the Chinese New Year (I've become very familiar with is as I do a lot of outsourcing for fabrics and small business stuff), it's a period of 7 to 10 days in which a lot of businesses and factories close down and they take this time to celebrate I believe their deities and ancestors, though I'm not well versed in the traditions so take that with a grain of salt.

Basically that means all production and shipping of products goes to a complete standstill during this 7-10 days of celebration. It's just something you have to remember when dealing with Chinese goods. Thankfully they got through my order fairly quickly, but that was because I didn't need a faceup or the clothes to go along with my Aries (I would have been tempted with the clothes honestly, but I was concerned about him being stuck in transit).
Anyways, hope your dolly gets to you soon! it's no fun seeing your doll stuck in transit,

 

i just ordered my doll day before, UK dealer will make order tommorow and i will hope that it will arrive in 3 months :-) im so happy for it :-)

Yah, @garrenn I ordered last August/September (two orders) from DDE and then I ordered the head event heads in November.directly. DDE did warn when I ordered it would be 4-6 months. I wish I had just paid the shipping though because people were getting their orders in less that 2 months back then! LOL. But I feel like I can't ask DDE how it's going because it hasn't been 6 months yet :P

 

Hey don't feel like you can't message them! Just be polite about it. I messaged acbjd maybe a couple days before they informed they that the doll was shipped. I just ask if they can ask the company if there are any updates to your order. The worst they can say is there are no updates.

for my order it passed just few days, so i will ask my dealer in month or 1,5 month how is going on :-) but i always see updates in my account so need to be pation :-)

 

Hey, another D&D player! II love the idea of playing a centaur - they're always been one my faovrite fantasy races. I blame Disney's Fantasia for getting my obsessed as a kid.

Ditto about Trista as a stepping stone. My first bjd was a yosd, and one of the reasons I chose her was her low price. And I swore that was it! I didn't need any other dolls! ...And then I got a msd. Who was also pretty cheap. And then I swore that I was done: I had two sizes, didn't need any more. Broke that rule again and again! But all my purchases were under $250 - Trista went above and beyond the price range that I had set for myself. And her accessories so far have been the most expensive!

Anyway, to get back on the topic of shipping: in the beginning of January I emailed Alice's Collection about the status of my order, and on the 7th Alice said it was "expected to be ready in 20 days." Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be getting a shipping notice soon!

 

Well, DDE said they should receive it in the next two weeks according to the last update they got...which probably means late next month again

 

Sorry you have to wait, but I'd rather have my doll stuck at the Impldoll base than stuck in transit!

Well, we're edging closer to the outside end of the "generally..." window, and I'm trying very hard not to get antsy. Then again, I haven't picked out the right wig and eyes yet, so I suppose I can occupy myself with that in the meantime.

 

I'm not having good luck on wait times with my orders lately, . I hope impldoll catches up soon!

 

well im not good in waiting as well, but for me as i ordered trought dealer on UK still need to wait around 2 months :-( but i have good news my Impldoll Iris is coming from Sweden in few days :-) she will be my very first legit bjd in this SD size :-)

 

I contacted my dealer (sounds a little suspect out of context) this evening, and it looks like my Azalea head is less than a fortnight away! Finally...

Ethan (boy in my avatar and her boyfriend) will be happy. If only he had the ability to show it. Maybe the tearful look I got off him earlier was one of elation.

I bought two model bodies for my fairyland heads, and it seems they may off too much in color for me to be happy (though I won't know until they are here) Anyway, Iris might be a head I get for one of them if I can't fit what I have So I'm very interested in seeing her

Well, I got no notice but my two model doll bodies arrived today, same light pink as the first body I got, but these are very nice doll bodies and I think I'll get some white heads as they would be easier to blush to match

Unfortunately, my Alma head is still MIA

 

As i checked tracking number for Iris, she is in UK parsel hobs, so think so tommorow i will shear some pictures of her :-) im so happy that she will be soon here :-) and i will be more happy when Aurora will come :-D
