Impldoll Waiting Room v3!

My Eudora shipped!

 

I just sent Impldoll an email about two custom-coloured bodies I want from them. We'll see how quickly they respond, and how quickly I can get my paint chip colour samples into the mail so they can replicate them. What's the current wait looking like--still up to 5 months or has it settled back down closer to 3? I know when they released the new body their wait time jumped because everybody wanted it haha.

EDIT: I’m not thrilled with the costs of this order—they want $100 per colour for custom colours, which I’m forking over in the hopes they do the colours well! I’m also shipping my paint chips out tomorrow, in the hopes that they get these two done fairly quickly!

I totally forgot to update about my order...anyways I received my jointed hands march 3th,waited approximately 6 months for them to arrive

 

Just ordered the new 62cm girl body Apparently they do a gift Vilma head for it atm! So I want to see if she fits the character I have in mind. Otherwise may exchange it later.

I feel you! Seriously hoping I like the head sculpt with the character so she doesn't end up being a floating head! But since she's adorable I know I'm keeping her regardless ~

 

I'm in the same boat, but I ordered the body anyway. Have a DIM Bellita head and a DF-A Butterfly Swallotail I want to try with it. Hopefully one will work.

 

Just saw on the Impldoll Facebook that they'll be sending out the Plump body orders soon, including the Susu promo ones.

I ordered at the end up January and I am so stoked. Already got her wig and eyes waiting

 

Just got a shipping notice for my 1/4 plump body, exactly 2 months after ordering! Now to decide who to put on it…

 

I, too, got a shipping notice for the plump body. I ordered during the event, so I should be getting a Susu head as well.

 

Congrats! I did too, but I'm not keeping the head as I split it off with a friend. Originally I wanted to put my DiM Gayane on it, but I am used to her on her janky body, so I think I'll put my MNF Alicia on instead

 

Alicia could look nice, I hope you'll post your hybrid when it's done. I'm very interested in seeing other styles of heads on it.

I wasn't sure about the Susu head at first either, but now that I'm seeing it in person I do like it. So I'll be painting her on the week-end.

I took a bunch of comparison pictures with Ye Mao Zi's Moon Ying, but I'm not sure I'm allowed to post them here because I'm not sure Ye Mao Zi is approved. I did post them over on Facebook though.

 

I saw your pictures on Facebook! It looks like an overall really good body. Mine is meandering through postal limbo as I chose airmail shipping as it was free at the time. I’m hoping the body arrives in the next week or so though!

I’ll likely need to create a type of neck key system as Fairyland heads sit really low without it. I’ll see if I can get someone to 3D print one for me…

Lomi's is great if you have or have access to a 3D printer. Butterflies and Things is great (and a really good design!) if you don't have access to a 3D printer, and Shapeways prints and ships. However, I'm not sure how many countries it's available to ship to.

I have and use both! They both have pro's and cons, but are an absolute godsend!

Thanks for the links! I have no access to a 3D printer, so I got the Shapeways one (got 2 to make shipping more worth it), they do ship to Austria but it costs more than just 1 connector… it’s okay though, it should be fine, as long as they work heh

Even though I've printed the Lomi ones, I still want to buy a few more of these, lol! Also, I helped with the adjustments for the minifee size when they were first offered~ XD And the 1/3 size are absolute LOVE!

I did an impulse buy... In mere days after ordering the body, I managed to also order myself a Gemma in brown skin So now I'm waiting for two of their dolls (or technically a full doll, a body and a free head haha), oops I'm really curious what the slightly different order times do in regards of manufacture time though!

I ordered a Nalani this time. These Impldoll girls are so amazing I needed another.

 

Just received my 1/4 plump body yesterday in real skin. It is really nice and solid!

I put a Fairyland MNF Alicia on it with a 3D printed neck key, which works well. The body is tightly strung but still moves nicely. Impldoll sent her with some coated wire to install oneself.

I dressed her currently in some regular MSD sized stuff, as anything labeled for Slim MSD or MNF will not fit even in a million years

 

I caved I ordered Susu in tanned resin. This is my first time buying an Impldoll! The plump body is just too stunning to pass on, and I really like the Susu sculpt as well. I feel like she has a classical painting kind of vibe.

 

Okay I am shocked. I got an email this morning from Alice Collections that Impldoll has shipped my doll This is the fastest company turnaround I have gotten lol They must have had one instock! This is wild though cuz I was ready for the long wait

 

Congratulations on such a quick shipping notice! Impldoll sometimes tends to be quicker from what I heard but still, this is very fast! Hope you will share pictures of your girl somewhere, I'm so curious to see the sculpt in tan!

Back in March, I had placed an order with a Taobao agent for some items that ended up getting cancelled by the seller. That meant I had some money just sitting in my account... I impulse bought a Sadie head and a Mona head, both in gray. The Mona head was in stock but Impl had to cast the Sadie head. It feels really weird to buy from such an accessible company through an agent.

 

I’ll post her to Insta and FB for sure. And then try to make a unboxing thread here. Last time I tried uploading photos I was struggling lol Hopefully it was nothing cuz I have a backlog of photos to upload

 

My Susu is stateside! I just checked the tracking today and I’m so excited. I’m thinking 3-5 days more to wait?

 

I put in my first order directly from impldoll! It’s for an Imara head in cream white. I emailed them directly and it was super easy to get her as they responded in minutes. The face-ups I’ve seen from the company have all been good so I ordered her with one as well. Super excited for her

 

My Susu came yesterday! I’m so hype! I’m excited to work on her. I didn’t take a whole lot of pics from her unboxing cuz I was too excited But I posted a few on insta and fb. I’ll have to upload one here too

I got my tracking number after asking for a status update.

Though the tracking number isn't working yet. They told me it won't work for 72 hours. I'm hoping tomorrow morning it will at least register as existing

 

I’m still waiting for my doll to ship but I plan to reach out if I don’t hear anything. The last they told me it was about to ship but I haven’t heard anything since then. And from what I know about tracking numbers they do take a little bit to show up in the system!

Ok! I also ordered in March, a Lanny and a 65 body so if they do ship in 4 months, that's not so bad!

 

So I paid off my layaway on the 4th. I thought BJDivas would then send me a shipping invoice, but I still haven't received anything from them. I sent them a PM on FB a few days ago but no response yet. Are they really that shorthanded right now?

Hi everyone! Just here to say my 62cm body (and event Vilma head) I've ordered through ACBJD on March 30th has just been shipped!
I did order some extras from Alice with it, so I think it didn't come directly from Impldoll. However, it still took only 82 days (which is a whooping 2 months and 21 days?!) for the order to get shipped!

As for my other order, I have that on layaway so it will take longer no matter how fast they make it.

 

That’s faster than my order is taking, granted, my order is for custom colours, which I’m sure takes longer than their standard colours

 

I didn't expect such a quick production time to be honest..!
And yeah, I think custom colours might take a little longer, hopefully not too long though!

 

Yeah, I don’t think it’ll be terribly long! I emailed them at the start of the month, and they said that they’d ship in July, so hopefully only a 4 month wait, maybe 4 and change depending on whether they ship before or after the 10!

 

Had anyone else been having trouble with receiving their doll?
Over a week ago, tracking said it "left country of origin".
But upon contacting customs to see if it was stuck there, they told me they had no evidence of it arriving in Canada yet.

I was hoping so bad she would be here for my birthday today, but now nobody even knows where she is and Impldoll isn't answering me. :' (

Impldoll replied and said there is such an overall back log of shipments leaving China that there can be like a 5-12 day long wait, just to get the room on a plane to ship it over seas.

 

Vilma is here! The package came quite quickly and safe, anyways not even 3 full months from order to arrival.

I didn’t hear anything from the 13th to the 28th and then I got a slew of updates and my doll was suddenly in the states and through customs
Hopefully you’ll hear something soon as I think we’ve been dealing with this shipping mess along the same timeline

 

Alice just contacted me saying the Gemma in brown from my April order is ready! It's a layaway so I will only be getting her at the end of the month after paying the final amount but I'm surprised by the quick manufacture time!

 

And yet, my March order is still not done. I’m not loving impldoll not going in order, I have to say.

 

Yeah they definitely don't seem to do them in order.

Paid in full upfront in January and she wasn't ready to go until June (after I had asked them a couple times, "Hey, got any updates? Been a couple months since your initial estimated time line")
I wonder how they decide what order to do things.

Mine is a dark tan with faceup, and I guess they just really wanted to post pone doing it

Really not happy with their courier either.
On Monday, it will be an entire MONTH since reaching its current location, which is still in China.

 

Jumping into this waiting room because I've just ordered my first doll in years! I left the hobby for a few years, but I've been drawn back to it, and have just ordered Eudora in brown skin. I'm very excited. I've been obsessed with Baldur's Gate 3 lately, so I'm hoping to try and make her look like my avatar in that.

 

Often times companies wait for a certain number of dolls of X color to be ordered before casting them. That way they can mix a big batch of resin and get more consistent results with fewer unusable casts. It's also especially hard because custom colors (particularly dark ones) can stain molds or leave residue that means the molds need to be cleaned really well or possibly remade in some cases. They can also often never be used for lighter colored resins again. Companies can never really go in order because of this, and sometimes they have a dedicated set of molds that's only for darker colors. That's why custom colors, darker colors, and less popular colors take longer, also why they're more expensive.

Anyway, my march order arrived. My heads are gray, but I ordered less popular sculpts so I suspect there was no waiting on the mold and one head was already in stock, so mine took only 4 months. Shipping was really quick, but I suspect that's because they came through an agent from Hong Kong, so I avoided the backlog in China. It took only 2 days to arrive from the agent, including customs. Crazy.
