I've done both, I oddly prefer a dealer bc I think it's easier to clarify what I mean through them and the wait time was identical. I also love Kamara, she's one of those sculpts I don't think I have a real place for in my collection but I keep being drawn to her. The eyes she has I bought for a Supia head and they were very pretty, a rather striking green in person.
(As a side note, the model body fits 1/3rd boy clothes quite well, along with Sartoria's 1/3rd girl clothes very well, and wigs....well just get like 20-21cm ones + a wig cap and pray they fit, it's really annoying.)

Can you guys please recommend me any lingerie or underwear clothing that would fit the Star model body with the large bust? Thank you in advance for the help

 

Oof, that's hard. The only lingerie that has worked for me is from SartoriaJ. The new Star model body is quite broad in the chest. Nothing from ACBJD really fits, and even Iplehouse is too small.

 

Actually endless released some underwear for sd girls and alice lets you do custom sizes for them, just put like her bust measurement in the comments section when you order. Also BIA has done custom sizing for me in the past and their swimwear could be a pretty teddy. Also the brand suijan is making some stuff that fits too

Just adding this for those coaxed in by Impls new bodies and plentiful resin tones - your wait is going to be very long if you're not ordering WS/NS versions of whatever is newest. I am currently on 9 months and waiting for my Impl 'Model Body' in 'Dark Tan' with no end in sight. I've been promised my doll will be sent out "this month" since the five month mark. So just be weary about what you're ordering and be willing to wait... a while.

 

I’m very attracted to the new 68cm girl body but I desperately want it to have a muscular option. Anybody know any information on this?

Also, anyone with a Volks SD16 head tried it on the new 68cm? Just curious on proportions.

 

They're going to be releasing a muscle girl body at some point, but i'm pretty sure it's going to be at the 62/63cm size first. It was supposed to be out over the summer, but has been pushed back a couple of times. I asked on facebook if they'd be posting more info about it soon and they said next month, but that was at the end up August, so it could be this month or October.

I got my Imara on black Friday last year. They had a few in the warehouse I guess. There was a special where if you bought one of these, they would ship in a week.

 

Impldoll keeps teasing me! I need that male body! The new 1/4 bodies are super cute though.

I painted my Ransom, who was originally supposed to be a seductive type, but now he's just a cheery dude. Now he's the darn court bard and I need to make/find instruments and get him more expressive hands. Without a wig though, he looks almost insufferably smug. I love it.

I had to color match him to his body, but it's still only like a 90% match.

My Impldoll Gemma is finally on her way to me. Once the holiday is over in China, Alice will have her right over to me. 9.5 months waiting - I'm really hoping I love her as much as I've been hoping. Custom faceup by Impldoll.

By chance does anyone have a Zona that they could show next to a doll with a 22-ish cm head? I am trying to find a 62cm girl who would fit in with my dolls and while it looks like Zona is billed as having a 21cm head it also seems like their faces/heads run small in actuality.

Just trying to get some perspective!

 

Does impldoll includes he heel feet with their female dolls or you have to order those separately? I have seen some box opening videos and I see the new female dolls come with high heel feet and an extra set of hand, but the owners never mention if they order those separately or they came with the dolls. I know the heel legs you need to order separately I was wondering about the other parts. Thank you for the reply.

Also officially I have been waiting a month and counting. God willing I hope I just have to wait three months for my doll and no more than that

 

I have bad news.
Heel feet used to be included with their dolls, but appear to be an extra $25 charge now (unless you order during a promotional period; then they are usually included as a gift).
Impldoll has absolutely exploded in popularity, which congrats to them! But... unless you order one of the older bodies (which do include heel feet), you're looking at a six month wait, minimum, for a blank doll. I'm at six months and counting for a blank 62 cm doll. Folks who ordered dark resins (which my Madeline is) have waited eight months and longer.
So you're probably going to want to plan to settle in and wait a while.

 

So final update on my Impldoll order.
Ordered: December 16th 2023
Received: October 11th 2024
Item: Dark Tan Gemma on Model Body, all extras and custom faceup/hand blushing.

I don't want to flood this channel with a wall of text, so below is a summary of the issues/delays/difficulties I had with my order. I'm not telling anyone what they should and shouldn't do with their money - but I am putting out a warning for those who, like myself, would NOT order under these circumstances if they could be forewarned.

I was told my order would ship in March.
After that, I was told my order would ship in June (quote: "It won't exceed June").
After that, I was told my order would ship in July.
I am then told that production hasn't even begun on my body yet - making the previous statements clear lies.
After that, I was told my order would ship in September (quote: "It will be sent by the end of September, guaranteed")
My order finally ships in October, which to their credit was their "final guarantee".

I pick up my order today, wishing for the best.
When I opened her, I noticed there was something rolling around in the package, I figure it was extra feet or something. No, it was parts of her leg. They had strung her so tight the S-hook broke in transit. She was not strung with her high heel legs, which is what I requested not so much a problem on its own until I come to realize why they weren't. The legs are so badly warped you can't even fit one half of the string down the leg channel, never mind the S-hooks or the other half of the string. I paid for both sets of her hands to be manicured, only one pair was. I did not receive the collaboration jeans I ordered, either.

Others in my comments on Facebook have stated they are waiting even longer than me for just a head - which I can't vouch for of course but I have to include the information.

This is not an experience I would want to do again, I regret my order. I love the doll, even if she isn't whole right now the sculpt and resin is beautiful - but not worth the loss of money on damaged/undelivered parts and things I will now have to replace as Impl has told me to contact Alice, not them.

All this to say, please be wary. This is how it started with Dollshe, and I would hate to see others lose out on 100s of Dollars because Impl can't keep up with the new demand.

 

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, @Faerie_Soup, since your girl is very similar to a doll I would have requested had I not gone with a second-hand doll. When you're able, I'd like to see that body's poseability and how the resin is holding up. I was planning on a dark tan girl and was between Impldoll and Resinsoul. If Impl really is getting swamped, I'd just as soon forgo the quality for the ease of Resinsoul's customization.

 

Thank you for the info. Now I’m worry my order will take so many months. I did ask a few people and they all told me they had to wait about 3 months for their dolls. The videos were uploaded 3 months and one month ago. So I was hoping the waiting time was on that limit. Oh well!! All there is now is wait

 

@Faerie_Soup Wow, that's a less than stellar experience, and well worth mentioning.
I was tempted to get an Impl body for one of my floating heads, but after hearing about the current wait time and your experience, I think I'll go with a different company.
Your girl is beautiful, and I hope the issues can be resolved soon

 

@Faerie_Soup that's rough. She's pretty though. I think I actually like that sculpt better in the dark tan. Super happy I ordered mine like the first day that body came out. But I definitely had the same kicking the can down the road deadline thing a decade ago when I got my first Impldoll. I got an extra 1/6 doll for my trouble though and no damage. It sounds like they are a victim of their own success and aren't willing to hire more people...or maybe they aren't paying enough. Either way they need to space out their releases a little more until they get caught up.

 

Of course! Alice is sorting things out for me, so it seems I’ll get some extra hooks/string soon and I’ll post a posing review. I can already tell you the Model body isn’t as nice as the 62cm default body though. 62cm is a wonderful poser! In regards to the resin - it rubs against itself and goes grey in the joints (I’m mostly talking hip socket and the “wrist” part of the hand pieces). The inside of the heel legs were pretty scratched up and I can tell you now if your doll gets scratched, you’ll notice. It’s much lighter/ashier on the inside. Definitely a resin you can’t play with too much.

 

I know Impldoll's sales rep reads this thread, and I hope they take our comments seriously. Iron Dog's, Faerie_Soup's, and Chameleon's experiences have sparked discussions in a few places. Several people expressed reservations and say they will avoid ordering from Impldoll right now.

One bad experience can be viewed as a mistake. This looks like a pattern.

Other companies have raised prices or restricted sales volumes to manage work flows. I hope Impldoll considers doing something similar. Sending an incomplete order and warped parts is not acceptable. I love Impldoll. They make gorgeous dolls. I want them to continue to be successful.

 

@Faerie_Soup she's gorgeous, but that really sounds like an unpleasant experience. I hope everything gets sorted out well for you soon!

 

I'm sorry to hear that too but glad that you shared it. I have been so tempted by Impldoll and loved Kamara but will waot a bit to see how things turn out. I hope you enjoy your new doll and can get the issues resolved.

 

I'm so sorry for the difficulties people are having with their orders but am very grateful to those who've shared their experiences. I was very close to ordering Anja (in a darker resin, which apparently is taking even longer now). I'll have to wait and see how Impldoll handles these issues first.

 

I emailed impldoll again about the second half of my order, and they told me it should be shipping this month. Don’t know whether or not I believe them, but I’ll follow up in November.

 

Alice has arranged a refund for my unpainted hands and will be getting the collab jeans - but now my problem is I don’t know how to put her back together.

Alice says they’re sending string and hooks for me, but that the legs are both strung with one string? I feel a little confused, since her one strung leg has pretty good tension if that is the case, so if anyone has a tutorial or can just nudge me in the right direction I’d appreciate it tons ^^

 

I don't know about Impldoll specifically, but most of my dolls are strung with one elastic to both legs. If one leg is broken, how far up the channel did the elastic shoot? You should be able to pull it through the new piece unless it went all the way into the torso, which in that case, you'll probably need to completely restring the lower body. For my dolls, the arms and chest pieces are on one string, and the legs are on another, so if impldoll is similar, you shouldn't need to completely restring her at least. The leg cord is one long length, folded so that one half goes through each leg and the knot at the neck.

 

Give me a few minutes - I've got the 63 cm body with heel legs. I'll take her apart and grab some pics for you. She needs some kips anyways (KIPS FOR EVERYONE HA HA HA KIPS INSANITY ).

I know you've got the newer Model body and I've got the old Idol Musclegirl and TGB body but I found Impl's stringing was way too tight at first, especially since they used the 2 string method (1 string = arms and 1 string looped = legs and torso). I had a much easier time once I restrung with the 3 string method. If you're finding the tension is good with one string in one leg, you're going to find it too tight once you loop it for the other leg.

 

me, it was me commenting on facebook, i confirm I mentioned here too that I ordered a head with a faceup in November last year and still waiting. I contacted them and they promised to send it in October with a random head as an apology, which is cool if they do it, but if they won't I'll just ask for a refund in the end of October. And I'll ask why, because I am genuinely curious about business side of things, they have been casting and painting full dolls for other orders, why happened with making just one head lol.

THIS!!! I think it's why the S-hook broke in the first place. I am probably going to try and do the 3 string method as that's how most of my dolls have been in the past.

 

OK, if you have other dolls you've restrung, it's the same process, actually. Pretty straightforward. I would recommend cutting the elastic to dislodge it from one leg, though. Trying to yank an s-hook through is a recipe for internal scrapes.
Impldoll uses the same two-string method as other companies - one longer looper of elastic that goes from foot to neck and down to the other foot, and one loop for the arms.

I see the problem now. Most heel legs I've dealt with have a small resin piece at the bottom of the foot that pops out, and you attach the elastic to that.
My new Impldoll body came with two s-hooks with a piece of black ribbon on them. I didn't pay them any mind - I figured they were some sort of gift. I think I used one on another body. That was a mistake. At the bottom of the heel legs are a cross. The s-hooks with black ribbon are made to slide into the cross.
So... I'm looking around for that other s-hook, lol.

 

So I just remembered I ordered some new hands when they did a free hand event...just pay shipping. I'm never getting those hands lol.

As far as how Impldoll strings...I like how tight they string them. Though it would probably be better to leave them loose for shipping. But like first thing I do when I get a new resinsoul...tighten her up lol. I typically string one cord for legs and head, and a 2nd one for the just the arms. And I'm weird so I loop mine so I can tie the knot in the torso. I hate having a big knot in the head. I basically do like you tie a shoe before the loops. Pull super tight and hurry up and knot it.

 

In fairness to Impldoll, they said the Idol bodies would start shipping in September and October. A buddy of mine's Idol body is already in the US.
The free hands event was at the end of August, so it just might be a couple more months.

Although there are definitely some recent issues, including some very long wait times and some items missing from an order, not getting anything at all hasn't been mentioned (yet).

However, I will point out that they just released two new 1/4 scale bodies, and two days ago, they started posting images of a new head with a new 75 cm body. This is precisely the issue that frustrates me. They appear to have some old orders piling up that they haven't completed, but they keep churning out new releases anyway.

 

No literally I lowkey wish they pulled a soul doll and just stopped releases until all their orders were caught up.

 

After getting more confused I decided to contact impldoll directly and asked about the high heel feel. I asked if they come with the doll or if I have to order those separately and they told me the high heel feet will come for free with my doll. Just to clarify I didn’t order my doll during an event. So, I think this might be a little of misinformation.

 

Cool - if you order from them directly, then I guess the heel feet are included. If you order through Alice's Collections, it's an extra $25 (that's where I got my info).

Ah! Thanks. I didn’t look but did paid extra for Madeline’s heel legs.

 

I finally found a hybrid for my most special Impldoll head! He was never mass produced, and the lovely person I got him from got him directly from the sculptor.

Impl's tan is just so orange, but it fits on the Ringdoll RGM 3 (and he can sit cross legged!!). The color match is bad, but I think his clothes distract enough. I'll eventually face up him myself and color match a little better. I made everything but his white shirt and wig. The clothes also need some tweaking/decoration, and probably a different wig, but here's my guy!

My order was shipped on October 19. I ordered Kamara in brown skin without a face up on September 6 and I checked my order status today and it was changed to “shipped” and it even has the tracking number and according to the tracking number she was shipped on October 19.

I think I was panicking because of the bad experience of some. Now, all I have to do is wait and God willing I will get her by next week.

My full doll was shipped within a month. I ordered directly from the company not a dealer So, I think it depends. I was scared because of all I have heard and they just prove me wrong. God willing I expected to get my next week

 

I also ordered direct from the company. Up higher in this thread is a person who waited over a year for a head, and a person who received a doll with dysfunctional parts. I think it’s luck of the draw, and I think a 6+ is more likely than your wait

Update though: impldoll is claiming that they’re shipping my second body this week. Fingers crossed it’s as good a match as the first (but I’m kinda doubting it).
