Sometimes factory Faceup a make their dolls all look alike, so I am really glad to see a blank face. I can see now that she will be very different from my human Marissa, which is awesome. Thank you so much . And yes, that is their medium bust. The large is even more insane, LOL. I'M Sure they will make it right for you. I only hope they will send a replacement quickly, so you can have your doll the way you want it ASAP. Unfortunately, you will have to take the body apart and put it back together again. Impldoll responded, there is no small bust for the MGB, that’s why they sent medium. I do not understand, why there is an option to choose small bust size. This is so disappointing and misleading. Now I have to be okay with something I have little use for.

 

Ugh, they should have seen that and notified you to see what you wanted to do. That's not acceptable!

 

I emailed Impl about the tracking number they gave me not working and it's working now! My boys haven't left China yet but at least there's movement which is more than can be said for a wig that left China on Nov. 20th that landed in Canada on Dec. 10th and hasn't moved from the airport since then *le sigh*.

 

You might look for an artist who can modify the bust for you. The breasts are usually solid and can be sanded down.

I always search for body pictures before I buy as I have sold dolls because I didn't like the body!

 

Oh my, I've found it weird that they only had measurements for the medium bust in the MGB. They should have clarified it from the get-go. So sorry that you had to go through that @quake, hopefully you'll be able to find a way to make use of that wrong bust size.

 

They have it as an option on their website. It shouldn't be there. And when they see someone order it, they should have contacted the customer to say it's not available.

 

@quake I'm with everyone else here, they should have let you know. Making the bust smaller is within the scope of modding but you'll need to find someone whose work you like.

@AntarelNefertili Thanks! Those tiny hairs nearly killed me but they're still not as fine as I wanted. But they're magically still finer than his eyelashes???

@quake that's super disappointing! But she is lovely to look at for sure. And at least subtractive mods are a bit easier than additive, but it's still terrible that she's not right!

What color resin did you get her in? She's on my wish list and I'm waffling on what color I want.

 

@Thymeseer, she is pink skin, but the color is light and creamy, I like it. The real skin (maybe I can make a color comparison today, leastways phone pics) is on the orange side and it doesn’t look very natural. I wouldn’t pick that again. But it is always a personal preference.

 

How old is your 'real skin'? In the past few years or more, Impldoll has renamed , swapped names many times, it's so frustrating!

Here is, from last spring, my 'normal pink' head on a 'real skin' body also here Real skin looks like Fairyland normal only a shaded or two darker

I also have an orange doll, but they called it 'tan' bought within the last two years. He's not allowed to eat carrots anymore I got the head first, the body doesn't exactly match

 

@IngieBee they arrived together last week, so both brand new. It is not really orange, but let`s say it is a very warm skin tone. Since July 2019 they only work with the Anti UV resin. There has been a difference between the two before and the anti UV is warmer and more saturated. They still do resin match but for me these are the first Impls, so this was not relevant.

Well, that's just hunky dory! Once again I have heads that I can't be sure I can get matching bodies for! Thank you for the update. Now I fear my incoming Plaice body will not match the head I have

 

Hmmmm! I'm not exactly sure if it's just the lighting or Impl changed their RS again. My own RS MGB is a beautiful peachy color, although it's quite a bummer that it's the most tanned of all the RS I've ever owned. I posted this pic back when I first got the new body, which pretty much shows how erratic that color could get.

@AntarelNefertili yes, they have changed in July this year. The newest color chart is on their Facebook, link’s not working for whatever reason right now

 

Thanks everyone for all the color comparisons! It's really weird that things haven't been consistent. I might go for the brown skin. Though I'm not ordering her any time soon I like getting my plans in order. Darn my lack of money! And my insistence that I would wait for Josy before getting anyone else haha.

 

Guys, I am getting the upper torso without the shoulder and neck joints with the small bust as a compensation! It is compatible with the MGB. This is a good solution for me and I am very, very happy with it! Thank you so much, Impldoll!

 

Oh thank goodness @quake, I am so glad the issue could be resolved to your satisfaction. I do love the neck joint myself, but the best part of the MGB is the legs, so you will have a nice hybrid

 

I love Impldoll, but they do have the nasty habit of thinking for you rather than asking and seeing what you want. I wish they would not do that. I'm glad they comped you though! YAY! (the legs are really awesome on the MGB!)

 

I'm glad they offered to do that for you, @quake! And I second what everyone here is saying about the MGB legs. Even if you're not a fan of the neck and shoulder joints, the legs are pretty much the best they currently have for the big girls.

They should offer the small bust with no shoulder joints as an option! I don't like the shoulder joints.

They actually offered me to either choose the part without the joints or any head of their non limited range. I picked the chest part, of course.

I'm getting leery about this new colour business now. I can't remember if I'm getting my Tony in a Real or Tan! He's going to look super weird if he's not the right shade! (My Delia is in their old...pink I think. She's got a lovely porcelain complexion. My new muscle gal is probably the "new" Real Skin bt she's almost as pale as the older head. Super weird).

I'm pretty much already resigned to the fact that my Fantasia Doll Vivian's head will no longer match the MGB I bought for her. Thank heavens her faceup is masklike, so I could easily write it off as intentional.

They do. You can order a small busted Idol and ask for the new legs, they will fit. Someone here has that combo I believe...

I love the shoulders joints but only for certain characters, so it's nice to be able to mix parts if all you want are the legs, which are gorgeous.

I got my boys delivered today! I ordered a Ziv in a custom green and qualified for a free baby doll. I chose a Teno. Both have the default Impl face-ups which are very nice. This is something of a family shot. Malachite (Ziv) is husband to Ji-Sun (SD Juhl) and they are both father to Kyrieleison (Teno). The other green boy (Impl Simon Colourful Life) is Malachite as a child. Missing from the photo as far as family goes is Qayin (BiDoll CS head) and Kheima (SD Phiel head) as they are both waiting on their bodies. Malachite is also wearing a temp wig as his hasn't arrived yet.

Impl sent some lovely glass eyes for both boys as well as including the outfit Kyrieleison is wearing as a free gift. Kyrieleison also came with human lower legs/feet, a mag horn (which is fully blushed), grippy hand and a mace (the handle of the mace broke in shipping but crazyglue will fix that and I doubt I'll ever use it anyway so I'm not bothered by that).

I'm wondering on opinions as the colour that Malachite is, while a lovely minty green, is not what I thought I was getting. Impl directed me to a site and told me to select the colour I wanted. I did and they confirmed the colour number with me before starting the order. It was as close as I could get to the colour of his child version and I checked the colour against his resin on my lap top as well as the desk top monitor at my work. They were nearly identical on the two very different screens. However, as you can see in the above photo, the greens are not even remotely close.

Impl sent me here: 潘通色卡电子版 - 图文 - 百度文库 and I chose #352. The doll I received is more #332 I'd say. Am I crazy in thinking that #352 is NOT what colour he turned out?

Should I contact Impl about this? I don't think I'm being too picky because the greens are wildly different and I paid extra to have a doll in close to the colour I wanted/needed. But I don't want to be a jerk either because they did send me a beautiful green doll. I thought they might have a bit of an easier time getting the green right as what they'd be trying for was a green that they'd already produced before although for a limited run. I'd even told them that I wanted as close a green possible to the green of the Simon I owned. I'm perfectly willing to send Malachite back to them at my expense to get the right colour that I wanted.

Colouration aside, the Ziv is a beautiful sculpt and I'm very pleased with the way he looks proportionally with Ji-Sun. Qayin will be slightly shorter than Ji-Sun but taller than Malachite at 60cm.

And if you asked for a different green and paid for it, then yes, you should press for it if that is what you wanted.

 

@chalyss I hate sounding like that bad customer but he isn't the green I thought he'd be. I'm not mad exactly. More... irked? Disappointed?

The sample they were going off of was also a webpage and I know colours can show up different from monitor to monitor but that's a huge difference to my eyes. If it was a shade or two off, I would just shrug and put it down to monitor difference. If they agree to re-make him, I'll see about sending a paint swatch sample, which will hopefully get me the right shade. I don't want to send any parts of child Malachite as he's limited and not replaceable.

 

Totally up to you! If it's important to you, then do it. They can see the monitor colors closer than that. You paid extra for the feature. I ended up with a mint Plaice because of this exact same problem someone else had. Looks like the same color. Or you can dye/blush/paint him. I don't think expecting something close to what you paid for is a bad customer. Paint chips work.

 

@Iron_Dog , congratulations on your new dolls!! Everything looks fantastic. I'm sorry about the green not matching . I love the month color though, and heck, I've noticed I've grown so much paler since growing up because I used to spend every day outside when I was a kid. So maybe it's the older, mature, working Malachite you have there? It's so cool seeing owner pictures of Ziv! Congratulations again

 

@chalyss You don't happen to remember who it was that sold you the mint Plaice do you? Would you be willing to share that information with me if you do remember who it was? I'd like to ask them a few questions if I could about how they resolved their issue with the wrong colour.

@IngieBee Thank you. Colour aside, the Ziv is a lovely sculpt and I really like the body. From the little I've done with him, he holds poses really well.

I think it's a little funny that I made probably 6 different pairs of eyes for him trying to get the "right" look and his eye openings are so narrow, they barely show at all. But I also had fun making the eyes so it all worked out. I did put a pair in his head but he could almost go without and it would be barely noticeable. Even so, I like the nearly closed eyes he has. I'm also quite pleased that a completely random pair of eyes I made just for funzies and that came out a bit oddly mismatched are the ones that Kyrieleison has claimed as his. I didn't even get to paw through my box of eyes. I tried those and it was pretty much a done deal.

 

@Iron_Dog as the saying goes, when they're right, they're right! I usually give my squinty yeyed dolls smaller eyes, especially with the iris, it just shows more IF you take a picture up into them, LOL

 

Yes, I have a couple of squinty-eyed dolls. The only one with more closed eyes is Hylocereus (Miracle Doll Snake Demon) where he doesn't actually have any eye opening at all. Which is probably good as he'd likely wear stupidly small eyes like 2-3mm.

I've decided to email Impl about the colour issue. I've had Malachite sitting on the loveseat all day and the paleness of his colour is bothering me for his character. It's a lovely mint ice cream colour but that's not his colour. He was named Malachite partially because he was born from a geode of malachite. The green needs to be much darker to be true to his character. I'll keep people posted on what Impl says to get this resolved. Wish me luck, guys.

 

You've made your decision, which I applaud, but I got Plaice from Fishcake who got him from the original owner. I could probably track the info down, but I do believe she got one in the correct color from Impl, in the end.

I actually just got an email from Impl. They saw the picture I attached of the dolls together and agree that there was an error in the colour blended for the Ziv I was sent. They are going to make me one in the correct colour. They also said I didn't need to send the minty ice cream Ziv back to them and to consider him a New Year's gift. That is utterly awesome customer service right there.

Congratulations on the arrivals! It seems Impl is encountering a lot of color boo-hoos lately, but it's great to know their customer service makes up for it.

 

I'm very pleased with the resolution of this and while I'll need to wait a bit longer for Malachite to arrive home, I have a lot of other dolls and doll stuff to keep me occupied.

 

@Iron_Dog Wow, that is a very much All's Well That Ends Well deal. Hopefully Malachite will be right around the corner.

I emailed Impl about their War of Future line and that one super detailed skull looking head from a few years ago. They tell me he's getting a faceup soon, so I'm hoping we'll see him this year! He's basically my grail doll. I was so scared they wouldn't release him at all!

 

Do you have a photo of the detailed skull head? I'm quite interested I'm also waiting for a head a sneak preview that was shown here last June.

No problem! War of Future is my fave line by them. The other lines are beautiful too, but I'm a sucker for robot bits. I'm very curious how they'll fill out the rest of skull face too! Perhaps that's why he's been absent so long? They sculpted a body for him too, perhaps?

Nelson's arms are....something lol. I still need to paint mine. I love them, but the struggle to put them on is crazy!

 

I love the line a lot as well! I would of gotten Nelson but he was sold out by the time i saw him lol. I just love his gloves. Might need some mods if they are hard to get on.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got a special body if his head is that crazy looking. he kind of deserves a crazy body too of some sort. If he's soon getting a face up... well i guess im going to have to watch their site for an update for him and maybe get him...

 

Impl has done some pretty interesting things with bodies for special dolls. Mkhai (Miguel the Demon Hunter) has all these really cool spikes and ridges as part of his sculpting all over his body. The spikes are very organic feeling to me as there's fine lines sculpted into the resin that give it the feel of something that grew out of the body as opposed to something that was just stuck in place. I was wildly excited to be able to snap him up from the MP a couple of years ago as he was one of my grails that I'd missed out on buying when he was originally released due to lack of funds.

Handsome guy there, @Dr.Zed! Even though I don't foresee myself getting that really detailed skull head from Impl, I'll happily admire it from afar.

 

So, I'm wondering if anyone has Impldoll's dark tan? I'd love to know if it has orange undertones? Or how dark it is because my character is half Japanese, half afro-American.

Hooray to multicultural characters! My Implbody characters (at least from their Edo period timeline selves) have rather unconventional parentage, too. I believe I mentioned before that my MGB-using Adhara is Japanese/Mesomerican native, so I ended up liking the tanned RS for her anyway. My Idolman FGB hybrid, Guórén, is Chinese/Portuguese, so thank heavens the RS he got didn't have the peachy undertone.
