I don’t order full dolls when I don’t have to, so I got just his head. I ordered WS (he’ll be yet another Joker in my group).

I’m not concerned about matching, but I am a little worried about size and proportion- I’ve only owned 70cm heads from IOS, and I think he’s 60?
I have a couple bodies floating around to try him on so we’ll see if any work or I’m stuck buying a new one

 

i've given in on Mr. Crow. i think i got him on nearly the last day LOL
i kept looking at him, and he's pretty much exactly a character i really like and have a lot of fun styling, so yep. i guess i'll be having several of the same character represented by different dolls as usual.

maybe helpful:
i think his measurements look similar to Switch 65 for shoulders (14cm) & neck (10.5). the Switch 60 is 1/2cm slimmer in shoulders and neck circumference. 14cm is such a wider shoulder, i wonder if he won't look ok on taller bodies too except he's very boyish.

IOS's white resin is a very close match to DollZone/Doll Chateau "peach" and Switch's "rosy white". Dollshe/Dollstown "fresh" is pretty close, but the difference is more noticeable imho.

i'm not so sure about IOS's new NS, i haven't done any extensive swapping yet, and my one close match is a DZ pink resin body in the old colour formulas for both companies and the IOS head has a faceup too.

Can't wait to see what everyone does with their boy to style him

 

I ended up going with the WS for Crow, the NS didn't give me enough confidence for a future match since I only purchased the head, and WS suits better something that I have in mind for him. After reading some body recommendations from you guys I didn't think it would be necessary to rush into buying the IOS body when I have other purchases to do on these dates, maybe next time for the next sale or if I run into a doll I like who has one of those bodies you mentioned, what happens first

I like Lacrimosa, but 80cm is too much for me. I'm thinking about a hybrid with a smaller body.
Realistic aesthetics and high poseability. A 3-part torso would be ideal. Do you have any ideas, please?

 

I think that the most complicated thing with a scale of less than 80cm is the thickness of the neck, I saw on YouTube a 70cm body from DollZone (match would be peach skin/white IOS) with the head of "80calss Infernale" and in my personal opinion, it turned out terrible.



The other one would be Doll Family-H white skin for IOS white, DF-H 72cm Boy Body Ver.II since the neck girth is 11cm, Class80 IOS body is 12cm but I don't know if Lacrimosa has fewer millimeters; but the DF-H 72cm Boy Body Ver.II's neck girth is 13cm, is too much a whole cm so it won't do.

 

I was looking into some Dika dolls unboxing and I came across this video, it doesn't say in the title but this girl tried out Lacrimosa in a 72cm Akagi Doll body (W), it's A 3-part torso and looks good in the video.

Hi guys! Does anyone have an IOS class60 body and a class70 head? I would like to see how they look together; there was a collaboration with DOLK and IOS where it seemed that they used one of the class70(Sezz) heads but I'm not sure about the body because it looks short, and I think I read somewhere that the class70 head is also compatible with the class60 body I would like to see them together

 

Has anyone else's Crow arrived? I just got mine today, I ordered him with the 60cm body in white skin. Hoping the others who ordered him get theirs soon as well.

Some observations: his eye wells are shallow, and small. Best fit would probably be 11mm ones just like on his sales page. I don't have a pair in that size sadly, and the one I had ordered for him is 12mm/5mm - they do fit, but I feel they're a little big (especially for the look I was trying to achieve).

His head is small, I think a 7-8inch wig would fit, I just don't have one in that size so I couldn't check. I tried on the 8-9inch wig I got him, and it looked like the wig was trying to devour his head.

I haven't seen any other photos of him yet, but I'm glad it seems they're all on their way to their owners. So excited to see more owner photos of Crow! His wig in the photos is from Luts so you can try getting it from them, though last time I checked their shop it seems to be out of stock (around Dec '22). I've yet to check again.

No, I won't be keeping it, sadly. He looks great with the default faceup, but I've already booked a commission slot from a faceup artist I like. I did take a few photos to document it before wiping it off.

I did a search in Luts and that wig style seems to be in stock again (I'm on mobile so you might be redirected to the mobile site). They have it in something blueish (the lime color).

Thank you! Hoping to ship him out to the faceup artist by tomorrow. He does look incredibly sassy, which was why I caved and got him. XD I'm planning to have mine look more malicious though.

I have not received any update on CROW's shipment, so I will ask IOS about it

@freesiaDream ooh yours looks so nice, what a surprise that it came with the faceup haha I hope mine does come with it since I did pay for it lol and good thing to know about the eyes, actually I was a little afraid to not have proper eyes for him since I don't have any and I'm not used to those purchases so I pay for the ones IOS offered as well, the only thing I didn't order was the wig, and also the body which I regret but I did get the wig for the next doll that came after Crow, Andante, and since his eyebrows are black, is gonna match Andante's black wig

@Grimalkin I know that feeling! I have a couple of older doll projects too, and I was on hiatus before Crow pullled me out of it, I think my doll crew will be considered vintage. so excited to see yours too, cheers to deranged!Crows!

@NuttyRojita hopefully you'll get him soon! Shipping was relatively fast, I think he arrived in my country ~3 days after his status in the shop said in transit. The default faceup looks really good on him and is nice overall! Oh and you have an Andante on the way too? Would love to see owner pics of him as well, I really like him too but I had no $ left to spend on him after getting Crow haha! Hopefully their heads are the same size since they are from the same line, so Andante's wig can fit. For the eyes, I think 10-11mm would fit perfectly, and Crow's default ones are really gorgeous. Can't wait to see your Crow too!

I took a skintone comparison photo, in case anyone's curious. I don't have a white skin bjd to compare to though, only normal skin (and most recent NS is 2016).

@freesiaDream he makes the NS look light tan i'd say the IOS white is more like Switch rosy white and DollZone/Doll Chateau peach. i tried some pics a while back but my light is terrible. Dollshe fresh is maybe 85% match, noticeable on camera.

Oh wow, that's such a surprise receiving him with a faceup! I really liked the faceup but it pushed the price up a little too much for me so in the end ordered a blank white head. It's too bad we're not close enough to do a head swap My head has arrived this morning so hopefully others in the UK will get theirs soon!
I did stretch the budget and ordered the default eyes and i'm glad I did seeing how others are saying finding suitable eyes is a bit tricky. Most of my dolls wear 12-16mm eyes so definitely didn't have any on hand that would have worked

 

@Grimalkin he's almost home! Thanks for the info, that's nice to know for reference in case I get any more IOS heads in WS and need to find them a body.

@Epicari it was! So I was saddened a lil bit that it had to be removed. They were kind enough to let me keep it (I asked in the Q&A board), part of me was worried I would be charged extra or I had to ship him back. I hope they sell eyes in the future, for convenience. 11mm I think is an uncommon size. Congrats on getting him!

 

@Grimalkin if you can share with us some photos testing some bodies that would be great thank you I read here that the white resin does look very similar to Switch's "rosy white" and Doll Family-H White... but 'm a little worried about the neck and how deep is the head hole so I don't dare to buy a body without having some reference.

My crow will be one of the last ones to be shipped for sure IOS told me they were going to send mine along with Andante, which I would have liked to be consulted first lol. I got them both in White skin, is the NS skin too dark? I was contemplating buying the new Fox but I want to see the resin first, would have liked to get my hands on Crow to make up my mind.

 

@NuttyRojita - i do have some NS IOS, but maybe a tad older vintage 50-50 maybe older resin colour to newer version. it's not terribly dark for NS, just pinker in tone. the only DFH WS i've got rn are solo ballet feet somehow LOL

i don't have much variety in 60 class bodies but will do my best to give you some visuals on the necks. i'm weirdly fond of the IOS 70's they are decent for posing and well proportioned for the look of my crew in this smaller 70 class size. the 60's look similar in proportion but as a more mature body for that height of an SD than you often see.

i've an ancient pink/NS DFA-60ish, Dollzone B-60, Crobi R line, Switch 65 att, and some slim 65-70's (DC/DZ dream valley ish) to give a go of it with. could take me a while to find everyone and photo in stages, so if you've an immediate preference of any of those please let me know, i'll try to focus there for you
it's fun to do these, and i can only pray the lighting doesn't fight me too much.

I would like to know what the I.O.S. bodies look like in relation to the pose. More specifically the girl body

 

@NuttyRojita sorry about that, but yeah they should have consulted you first if you actually wanted them shipped to you together. Saw the new Fox sculpt too and thought he'd look great alongside Crow in photos. But I was able to resist...maybe not so much in the future if he's rereleased. I think it would depend on the age of the resin too (and lighting in photos), so my NS dolls look a tad darker. Newer NS would probably be lighter in tone.

@deathdoll sadly couldn't find any reviews or posts specific to your request, if I do see one I'll try and link to it here.

Got my Crow back from the faceup artist last week, and took some photos. Haven't tried fitting clothes I have for my 63cm boy on him but I think they would fit, especially the pants. Top in the photo is for 65cm-sized boy (SDF/SD17), and they fit too - just a little long, length-wise. SDF/SD17 trousers are loose on the waist, and long on him. The eyes are 12mm/5mm. Wig is 8-9 and as I mentioned, too big.

 

i received my Crow as well, and my intended fantasy body has too big of a neck at supposedly 9.7cm when IOS's site says his company body is 10cm, so i have decisions to make now to mod or not. maybe the fantasy body has a wider end of the neck though.

with the company faceup, his teeth aren't painted, so they look a bit odd with just the resin colour, i will need to give him a dental whitening

i can try him on the peach DollZone B60 and take some pics soon, but i need to dig a little more to find the Switch body which is a 65att and likely has too big of a neck but you can check out the resin match when i find him

@freesiaDream - your boy looks terrific! i love how he turned out! is he wearing the IOS 60 body there?

 

@Grimalkin congrats! Sorry to hear about your planned body, but I hope everything works out in the end. I didn't notice the teeth weren't painted white in the default faceup, might be because mine is in white skin. Thank you! And yes, he's on the IOS 60cm body. He's the shortest among my 60+cm boys, but I got him platform boots so he's probably at 61-62cm right now.

 

mine is the white resin too maybe the sealant has a bit of transferred colour in it...
i think maybe he has a very shallow divot at the neck joint.

maybe the smaller DFA 60cm will be more similar in size to the IOS60

i'm so curious to see other hybrids, I hope we get some more pics to see with Crow, Fox and the other new 60's that have released lately

 

@freesiaDream yours turned out pretty awesome, it looks completely different from the creeky childish atmosphere the other one had going on, It was right that you did another face-up that suits your idea, it turned out great, he looks like he's not messing around for sure haha. I won't be getting Fox either unless I got my first IOS boy in my hand, I have to know if I like them enough to keep going with this night fever of IOS dolls one after another

When I saw the promo pictures (NS) gave me the hint that they won't paint the teeth even with the faceup option, maybe their personal preference, and since I wasn't going to paint them myself I preferred to order him in white skin, just to make sure that the teeth will look somewhat human-like

@Grimalkin You mean the one that looks more muscular? DF-H 1/3 Ver.3 (62cm) (the older one with shorter shoulder width?); I wanted to get Ver.5 (62cm), because it looked more appealing and the shoulder width was larger)... I think I will end up getting a full doll from FMH so the body won't be hanging around with no head in case it doesn't work

 

Ahh, that explains why the teeth look pink in the promo pictures! It was actually one of the main reasons I didn't order the face up as I found the pink teeth really off-putting.

Btw for those wondering about matching the white colour, DF-A, DF- H and Luts rs white are all close matches

 

i had also clocked it in the photos, but i hoped the RW version was going to be a little brighter tbh wishful thinking LOL but i have white paint and/or pastels.

@NuttyRojita - i checked my records, and I've a pink DF-A 60cm ver3 male body to try, but the "new" model is at version 5 now so i'm not it would do any good to share since he's a bit older and not the same measurements now for sale. in DFH i have a 68cm ver1 matched to Switch PB and the 72 is tan and huge, both probably have too big of necks. but we'll try them! hopefully something i have will fit LOL. maybe i should start a hybrid thread once i get some photos together

i can add Dollzone/Doll Chateau peach and Switch RW to close resin match list.

Anyone know the shoulder width on the class65f body?

As for the shoulder width, I measured her to be around 14cm (with both arms included).

 

After 84 years, my heads arrived, luckily both came in the same package. I was a little skeptical that I would like them since I have seen other sculps these months that I liked better, so I was going to take a look at them and see if I will keep them or sell them, but they were better than I expected, so much cuter in person.

The color is so nice, I'm glad I took WS for both, they didn't bring eyelashes and I'm not sure I'm gonna get some for them, I don't know how to put them anyway.

Again, I'm glad I bought the eyes for Crow, they are really unique and the size is perfect. I tried them in Andante and looked awful, made him look so weird lol. but Crow looks sooo gooood on them, love it!

For Andante I put him some random eyes a friend gift me on a Christmas blind-box exchange, not sure about the size but it was the right one, I think an amber color would have been better but they don't look bad, my friend really liked him with them on.

I purchased the promo wig as well, the one Andante has, brand: LUTS. I didn't stylize it, it is a little big but doesn't bother me too much. Couldn't place it more prettily since I didn't have a body to put the head on. I didn't take a photo from behind but the finish from the back and the top are great, the wig is beautiful, and very good quality. I liked that it was black-black, not one of those black wigs that end up being dark brown lol
Btw I tried it on Crow and it didn't suit him, It wasn't his style...

Here a picture with my Ringdoll Xie Lian, the heads are almost the same size, Xie Lian being a little bigger, Ringdoll's heads are small so I thought Xie Lian's body (Body04) could suit them but that plan failed the ring of the neck was too big but it was expected since that was a 68cm body

@NuttyRojita congrats! Yeah the eye size on Crow is really uncommon, glad to hear the default ones fit. And your Andante is lovely too. In your side by side photos of them, Andante's eyes look bigger. I like the pair you have on Andante, he looks more youthful with them. I'm curious about the wig that came with him though - is it 8-9? It doesn't look too big on your Andante to me too. I ordered a new wig for my Crow (7-8), when it arrives at least I can compare if that will fit snugly. Haven't actually measured ny Crow's head yet, time to bring out my measuring tape, I guess. Sorry to hear about the body though. Hope your plan(s) work out!

 

I'm so sad they're discontinuing the big boys, they're so nostalgic for me. I'm thinking about grabbing an Infernale before the last sale. Has anyone tried to hybrid these guys onto a DFH body? I'm wondering how it'd work out.

 

If they are going to discontinue the older boys, does that mean that the body too (80)? most of the time people went for hybrids than buy that body so I guess it's not very popular; and it says that they will release the Class75, would it be a new body with more muscle? at least I hope the shoulders are broader since the IOS bodies tend to be narrow.

 

Does anyone have a Soom Idealian head and a class 80 body they could try the head on?

 

Hello everybody! I just got a head from IoS, a Class70 Tony in white skin and I am...heartbroken. He came with these divots all over his face. I circled the two most prominent but there are 3-4 more, on his lips and the other side of his face. I'm sending these pictures to IoS for resolution as well but I wanted to ask, has anyone ever received resin like this from IoS? How did your resolution process go? Thank you for the help!

 

@RaineFournier I ordered two heads, WS resin, and with faceup both of them, and they came impeccable. It is good that you have sent a message to IOS to see if they can help you with a solution or a change.

 

Do you think the Gin's head (Class70) would look good on the RGM-4 body? I'm a little unsure about the neck.

 

Is he the same size as Sezz? If so, I can try it for you.

To be honest, I don't know. I'm seriously considering buying this head, but I've never had one in hand. It is one of the first heads according to DoA Wiki information. In any case, I will be very grateful for any photo.

I have a similar problem, so I think it's possible that IOS has off measurements. I got a body with a 10cm neck but it was too big. The neck measures 10cm with my tape measure, but the neck well for my Andante head measures 8.5cm

@Arengil When I saw your post I grow hopeful and went for my RGM4 (NS - 2022) and heads (Crow, Andante - WS - 2023), but the C-shaped Head Hook doesn't let me try it out

Does anyone here have experience hybridizing IOS with Loong soul bodies?

 

Yes! My Luce is on a loongsoul 68cm boy body. I had to switch the S-hook, but otherwise it's perfect.

 

Thank you for the information. What kind of S hook did you switch to? Do you happen to know if Loong soul's normal yellow is a good match for IOS's normal resin?

 

I switched to one with a smaller bottom. The default one my loongsoul body came with was very wide. I cant remember exactly where it came from unfortunately.

Small thing to note is that there is a pretty sizable gap when you tilt the head. It doesnt bother me much but its worth pointing out.

Thank you! It took a while (and a sheet of paper) to make sure his face wasn't too shrouded in shadows.

 

I'm curious, has anyone had any issues with IOS shipping? My Infernale apparently shipped late last month, but the tracking has been completely dead (Not showing up at all in any system I put it into) and I'm starting to get worried.

 

Have you asked IOS? Maybe they made an error on the tracking number or they should at least be able to tell you the shipping company,

 

Yeah, although I don't think they saw it yet. I'll try again soon if nothing comes of it yet.
