So I tried Jaguar's head on two of my Dollshe bodies (new classic and Pure) that both have neck mods and with a shorter neck, it's so much better. And since he won't have a wig, or eyes even, to make his face look bigger I think I might just go with Dollshe Pure. Because why shouldn't all my dolls have the same body? *throws things*

I think my new motto needs to be 'Mod All The Necks!'

 

has anyone heard anything about the Dr. Strange doll shipping yet? it said that they would start shipping sept-oct but i havent heard or seen anything yet

 

I just wrote IoS and asked, and was told they are a little behind on Dr Strange and plan to begin shipping in November. They said they planned on sending an email to all who ordered then as well.
So, hopefully sooooon! The last few months have seemed to be longer as I wait. lol

So am I the only one who's sort of weirded out by their new animal line of heads? Like it's cool, and pretty... but I feel they'd be better on like a mini or a smaller size... but I'm just kind of weirded out instead.

 

Omg yes! I just dont get it! Animal heads on regular bodies? Why cant they sculpt a pretty girl for us?

 

IOS does the greatest Special animal heads, so there is a market for them and IOS specializes in male dolls . If you want pretty girls there are lots of companies for that.

 

I think the big animal heads are cool. The only other time I've seen them is with Iplehouse limited editions. I'm sure there are others floating around (I know there is an artist cast one around). I like seeing more unique dolls around that aren't limited or so hard to get. I have a doll who is a werecat so a big cat head would work for an alternate head for him. Broke now but maybe in the future.

 

I don't have any plans for the animal heads myself, but I'm always impressed by what everyone does with theirs. And those skulls.... maybe one day.

 

You speak the truth. I am obsessed with IOS and would just LOVE to see what they would do with a girl sculpt. But their boys...oh man I wish i could bring them to life to be my boyfriends XD

 

My IOS Tony just cleared customs and he is in the hands of Canada Post and only an hour away from me. What a convenient time for them to be in the middle of rotating cross country strikes. If he doesn't come tomorrow it's going to be a long wait until next week. I really hope he's worth the wait.

 

Is “before shipping” a different designation for IOSdoll than actually casting the doll? For some companies, “before shipping” just means you’ve paid, but your order might not be made yet. For other companies, “before shipping” means it’s made, just not taken to the post office yet.

Mine was in the Before Shipping state for a few weeks before it shipped so I don't think it means it's finished.

 

I wonder if they will ever update their woman body it looked very cool and interesting, with great muscles, but it has been a long time since an update was out about it. I put it under spoiler because some have a problem with naked dolls

I really like Aria, anyone here order one? I love how he looks, he looks biracial to me, like a mix of Korean and European, he is a very good looking sculpt.

I think Ill contact them about it, the company has great bodies so I think her body will be a great poser too, plus its a body that is muscular and people have been asking for something similar to that for a long time, appearance and posability

Im not sure if they changed, but I ordered an animal head from them last year and it just appeared, I did not get a tracking number or a status update, it just appeared waiting for me at home lol...maybe I just was a one off thing, but that was at their old website, and not new so maybe the system has improved

 

He didn't come today so hopefully Monday. I will put up some unboxing photos right away.

 

Oh I realize that, but in the past, IOS has made statements of working on a strong female character. So I am looking forward to seeing that one day.

 

I'd like to ask a question about the IOS 80cm body. I noticed the neck measurement on the wiki and the site says 12cm, but on the site they have an option for a thicker neck, and I don't know what the measurement for that thick neck would be.
I have a head that is huge and needs a 13cm neck. If anyone who had the 80cm body and remembers if they got that thicker neck could give me a measurement I'd be so grateful.

I'm almost done with Zedan Faenoth's face. His character is complicated. His nickname is/was Deathwhisper. I had to get his all dressed up before I finalize his face. I've got a few additions to make. I finally got my Chaos - Yay!

Well, I pulled the trigger on Tauros since I could buy his body fairly cheaply with the sale IOS is running. I had to put him on layaway since I hadn't planned on buying him quite yet, but it was too good of a deal to pass up.

Anyone have a favorite set of jointed hands to use on the Class 70 body?

Tony arrived yesterday! I posted a new thread.

I'm very happy with him. I spent many hours today giving him a haircut. Next I need to start practising how to do a face up.

Little late to this thread, but I love my IOS. I like that their bodies and heads are more realistically sculpted and proportioned than many other doll company's 'men'. I have a Tauros (my profile pic) and Anima head on the black 70 body. He is probably the only doll I currently have in my collection that can use the "small iris" eyes too without looking ridiculous.

Right? I kind of like how IOS has a more realistic sculpt than most of the other dolls. I'm kind of iffed when it comes to the majority of the male bodies though. The muscles are a bit too pronounced for me. It just feels like they're in a permanent flex state. Maybe it's just me though. xD

I have IOS Anarmonia(it's that smug smile of his), and his eyes are small. I never thought they'd be that narrow and slit. I wanted to give him a black sclera eyes, but you can't even see the pupils because the eyelid's shadow darkens it so much. I had to give him the second choice.

 

My two extremes, 70cm and 20cm, darkness and light. Twig needs clothes and Zedan's faceup isn't complete without at least one tattoo.

I was going to say you need to ask in the Mini Doll Discussion but there isn't an IOS one, so there must not be many owners.

 

Yeah, I think I post my class 50 boy here since that is right in the middle of the sizes.

 

Reading this thread it was stated that the class 40 was originally part of the class 50 line, so high chances any owners would be here. I already looked for a thread in the mini section.

 

I have the IOS 40 Co and i adore him! He poses really well and stands with no issue. The only thing I don't like is those hands. They look like he is ready to "Honka Honka" some poor unsuspecting soul lol. That and it is really hard to find clothes for him. But as for the doll himself I have no issues. Mine's face was modded so he is a grumpy little cinnamon roll but I adore him so much. Are you thinking of buying one?

 

Thanks a lot for the info. I was looking into them after I noticed the news post, but unfortunately the current available sculpts don't appeal to me that much. I might get just the body to hybrid with a head I was looking at but it hasn't released yet so I don't know whether the neck size is compatible yet.

 

He has a rather large neck for his size. But I hope the hybrid you are planning works out!

 

Might anyone here happen to have a Sezz on a 60cm body? I've been trying to work out a hybrid plan for one, but it seems that there are very few Sezz-es on bodies that small.

 

Here he is on the teen 3 they claim he is 64cm but I don't think he is that tall. The old teen body 2 would be too small the shoulders are much narrower.

Yeah, if that's meant to be a 65-ish body, a 60-ish might be too small.. :/

 

I havs a sezz on a crobidoll r line body. He is around 62cm ans looks great!

I’ve ordered a 40 class boy (Claude), and am starting to collect clothes for him, but I’m not sure where to look for shoes. Anyone have ideas for that? I found some Iplehouse JID and FID shoes but they might be big?

Also, this body does have weird hands doesn’t it?

He looked too pretty and I thought I could shell him as a girl but he does not look as well as I imagined on the female body.

The resin match with dollzone pink is very nice, perfect but IOS is paler by a tiny bit if the person is unnaturally picky
Im surprised the head and make up look exactly the same as the website, it is very well done I thought the shadowing was for promo only, that the end product will be nice but not as detailed as the promo shots, its like the head has a filter on in real life too lol

I think based on the quality, people waiting on Dr.Strange will be very happy. Even the presentation box for the doll head and the eyes were amazing, never seen that much effort put into them before

He is beautiful, but does not fit any character I have in mind, but I will play around a bit. Here he is with the halloween eyes by IOS too

My Aria head arrived today and it's sooo tiny! Like mature mini tiny. So there goes that vague plan!

 

For anyone who wants to see just how small the Aria head is, this is a Volks SDGr boy body.

It is smaller than any other IoS head I've seen (a friend has quite a few) and I just don't understand how this is meant to fit a 60cm body. My phone's camera makes it look a lot better than it does in person, actually.

 

I've been looking for a buddy for my IH Lucian. Decided to check out both Pygmalion Doll and IOS to see if I could find something. I fell in love with the Aria sculpt, and it became my ultimate grail doll. So I'm saving up for it now.

I'll be buying him on the class 60 body so I guess it shouldn't be a problem with how small the head is then?

My main worry is more that it'll be so small that next to other SD and 70cm dolls he'll not quite fit in.

Yes, I tried to make an account on their new website, but I can't find a way to check if there are duplicate ID's. I turned off my adblocker and tried other things, but nothing. If I could send them an e-mail about it, it'd be great, but they don't even have that.

 

@Jackdawlord I seem to recall a notice or something, where they said that you would need to log in with your account from the old site. Did you have an account on the old site? If so, maybe try logging in with that?
